• Constanza Paz Sotomayor (9/5): Relaxed stay in the medina of Fez - What I liked the most was Amine's friendliness. Always with a willingness to help you with what you need. On the other hand, the location of the Riad, very close to the Rcif square where there are taxis to move you for example to the bus station which is in the new city. Also very close to the Hammam Ben Abbad. Breakfast on the terrace with nice views. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Fez! There was a bit of pressure missing for the hot water in the shower.

The kindness of Amine who went to pick us up at Rcif Square after coming with the transfer from the airport, who he himself managed for us. Best of all, we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast on the terrace after our arrival. Thank you for the good service 😊 The room needs to be ventilated all the time, as there is a musty smell that comes mainly from the bathroom. The rest is fine.

Il Dar è molto accogliente, bellissimo stile marocchino, stanza pulita, aveva tutto il necessario. Noi eravamo in due in una tripla per cui stavamo bene anche come spazi. Abbiamo cenato due volte al Dar perché la cuoca è strepitosa e con un prezzo ottimo abbiamo gustato il miogior tajine provato sinora nei nostri viaggi in Marocco, soprattutto quello al pollo e limone. Colazione molto abbondante, tutto homemade di eccellente qualità. Punto forte la terrazza da cui si gode una bellissima vista sia al mattino che alla sera. Il Dar si trova letteralmente nel ventre della Medina e l'esperienza è unica. Poiché il venerdì è tutt' chiuso per giorno di preghiera Amine è stato bravissimo a proporci le attività alternative e ad organizzare tutto. • Richard (9/5): Nice riad in good location with top class host. - We stayed three nights at this riad on recommendation. Excellent location in the medina of Fes. Amine the manager is so nice! Very hospitable and helpful, with lots of good suggestions. We also had a dinner there which was excellent. The view from the "terrasse" is great and it's a lovely spot to relax and chill. Would definitely stay there again. Room was a touch cramped.

L'architecture et la décoration de la maison sont typiques et la terrasse est exceptionnelle. La cuisine de Rada est excellente. Nous avons également dîné un soir , les plats étaient excellents et bien plus savoureux que ceux servis dans la médina. Un peu difficile à trouvé dans la médina, chambres un peu exigües.

• Marina (9/5): - Terrace has nice view, good breakfast. The stuff was friendly and helpful. There was a heating in the room and all amenities. If you want to stay in Old Medina it's a good place. We had room downstairs and it wasn't very comfortable for us. The room is very small and dark, without window. The shower drain didn't work well. There was no parking, need to park the car in 20 minutes from medina. Location is good if you want to stay in Medina, but we would prefer to stay in new part of the city.

The host was gracious, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality went above and beyond, from thoughtfully arranging our airport transfer to personally accompanying us to the taxi stand on departure. Each breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared, while the homemade Moroccan dinner was a particular highlight of our stay. • Ruben (9/5): Excellent 2-days stay at Chrif Idrissi - Excellent 2-days stay at Chrif Idrissi. Location is next to Place Rcif, from which you can get a taxi or be dropped-off. Their terrace is a big plus. Amine, the manager, cares and helps you so much. He has successfully fulfilled every request or question made. He is a big part of the great experience in this Dar. Included breakfast is abundant and very well chosen & cooked. We got a great experience there and I'd repeat. All I can say is: · Rooms could feel a bit small · Sometimes at night it's noisy outside. Make sure to bring your earplugs for better rest. :)

• Samiul (10/5): The best in Fes - Everything was superb! Aminé is a great host and will spend the time to help you with anything such as where to buy a sim card. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of breads, egg, jams, coffee, mint tea and orange juice with a terrace view of the city. Location was perfect and not a far walk from car drop off point. Porters can help with luggage for a small cost. Bed was very comfortable and supportive. Travel cot was provided which worked well but bed was wide enough to bring baby into bed if required at times. Highly recommend them to cook you dinner! For an extra cost we experienced fresh home-cooked meals with salad and fruit. We got to experience proper local food from chicken to fish, which all tasted better than anything we tried before at restaurants. We enjoyed this so much that we had dinner at the riad every night. The room was quite small compared to similar triple rooms at other riads. With a baby cot in the room also, we only had just enough space to open suitcases. The host could replace the light bulbs with a higher output. Even with all lights on in the room, we could just about make out things in our suitcases.

• Hunor (10/5): - Everything was just PERFECT! Beautiful house, great owner who knows A LOT about the history of Fez. Gave us great tips and advices for our tour in Fez. He really cared about us. The lady was very friendly and nice too. She made for us amazing Moroccan breakfast every day. Definately one of the best accomodation in whole Morocco (we were also in Tangier, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Agadir). One more plus, this is a small place, not a hotel with people coming-going all day.

• Ballesteros Herrera (10/5): Excellent!!! - We were amazed by the things one can do in Fes, we were not expecting that such a nice city isn’t that visited as Marrakech or others parts of Morocco, but it is true that we need to give special thanks to our hosts of Riad Dar Chrif Idrissi, definitely without them our stay in Fes wouldn’t have been as charming as it was, they recommend the best places to see inside and outside the Medina, and they even help us to arrange a personal tour, also they gave us the best advices for food (Fes’s pastilla 10/10). The service was very very amazing we had some troubles moving around the Medina, we got lost one day, and they help us quickly and without inconveniences to find our way back. The views from the terrace to the Medina are along the hospitality of our hosts the most notable feature of the Riad. If you are looking for a trip full with Moroccan culture, but without losing some commodities then this is the perfect option. Thanks a lot Amine.

Also, his place has a beautiful terrace where you can have breakfast and is located in the old Medina so very convinient to visit. Fes is a beautiful City and one feels like its in a medieval town when visiting. As the place is near a mosque there is some loud noise around 4.45am for around 15min. This is something that you get in all muslim countries specially in the old medinas so it was expected but needed to point out in case you are a light sleeper.

I felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable in this beautiful house, which is conveniently located within walking distance of all the main attractions in the Medina. What truly made my stay unforgettable, however, was the hospitality of the hotel manager, Abdenabi. He was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout my visit, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. If you’re looking for an authentic, traditional experience with a personal touch, I can’t recommend this place enough. Nothing. But just keep in mind this is a guesthouse more than a hotel so adjust your expectations when booking.

Abdennabi, the host, was nice and helpful beyond expectations. He speaks good English, he ensures your stay is comfortable, he helps with local food, guided tours or any other need you might have. We were pleased to stay in Dar Chrif Idrissi and we recommend this place.
• Reallyonthemove (10/5): Exceptional - I would highly recommend this lovely house. My partner and I were looked after with such warm hospitality and were made to feel completely at home. The location is ideal- very close to everything without being on a super touristy street. There's a lovely hammam right around the corner, lots of food and produce stalls nearby (with access to the kitchen, we were able to pick up bits to cook for ourselves when we didn't feel like dining out), and it's a pleasant stroll to the main shopping streets. The breakfast, made by a really lovely woman, is delicious, and was served on the roof terrace with amazing views.

I arrived and left sick, but he took care of me the whole time. Checking on me if I was ok, If I needed anything. He bought me special food and drinks which I needed at the time and he didn't want to take any reimbursement of even a tip for it. He offered to cook dinner for me and to show me how to cook a traditional tangine. As the hotel is not so easy to find, he came to pick me up from a place nearby 2 times. He also told me some history and information about Fes, and thought me a few words in Arabic. As a woman travelling alone, I felt very safe and comfortable here (not a given in the country). My room was comfortable, quite, with clean sheets and towels, and had a radiator which I could use to heat up the room. The hotel is beautiful, has a very nice roof terrace on the top. Internet could be better, but it worked.

• Dhyana (10/5): Exceptional - Abdul is very helpful to ensure everything we need is fulfilled. He provided the meeting point and picked us up and escorted us to the riadh. He was fast response. He helped us with hot water for us to make cup noodles. He helped us arrange transportation the next morning as we had to go to the bus station early in the morning. The facility is worth the price, it is a small room but still convenient even though we had two pieces of luggage and two backpacks. The room is rather warm although winter. The bed is convenient, the bathroom is also convenient, a towel is provided, but bring your own toiletries. None.

Amazing host who went out of his way to make sure i was well taken care of. Almost like having your private in house butler 😁 For inexperienced travelers, at first arrival, it may be challenging to find the place. But the host will guide you, even personally come to pick you up and walk you to the riad.

• Wolff_man (10/5): Nice Riad with a good location - This Riad is inside the medina so the location is perfect. The host is nice and helpful. From the train station/airport you would arrive at Place RCIF because the cars can't go inside the medina from where the host will pick you up. Just like everything else in Fes medina, its impossible to find it yourself so don't try - thats part of the fun in Fes Medina! For the price (26 Euros) for the night, its definitely worth it. They have a terrace with views of the city. Pro tip: If you want to experience a stay in Riad, you should definitely go for it but otherwise its narrow, steep stairs so it was a struggle with luggage and if you have any mobility issues, a Riad is not for you. Most of the rooms don't have any windows either so it can feel claustrophobic. Its not just this Riad but any.
• Henrietta (10/5): Wonderful - Abdennabi met us at the place where we arrived by taxi. Which was extremely helpful to easily find the way to the hotel. The riad was steeped in charm and character. Abdennabi was helpful in guiding us through the labyrinth of the bazaar. He shared his knowledge and was always ready to help out and point us to some nice places to visit. He definitely made our stay more pleasant. On the last day he offered to help us to get on a taxi to the busstation. We had a lovely stay in Fes.

The host, Abdenabbi, toke care of us in a special way, he shown us where to have a real morrocan dinner, where to buy souvenirs ecc. thank you Abdenabbi, you helped us to enjoy Fes.

• Achraf (10/5): Best place in the medina - I liked staying at dar chrif idrissi it was like staying in an art museum but a one that is rich of fes culture from very different aspects. I also liked how we been treated by our hosts especially mr. Abdennabi who was very attentive to our feedback and demands and very educative in terms of fes historical aspects, He even gave us a very detailed map of the old city of fes and with his guidance we were able to cover all the main spots in Medina. I don't if it my sensitive allergy towards dust or I just caught a cold but every time i get to my bedroom I always start sneezing, nevertheless the place was very clean and spotless. My roommates complained to the host about the wifi's connection being poor, the host clarified that all the surrounding area suffers from the same problem, I used my personal data so it wasn't a big deal for me.

If you have the chance to meet him, consider yourself lucky! The rooftop has incredible views and a great perspective of the medina and also the whole city. The breakfast super good! There were no windows on our first room and with smell probably from the bathroom.

We want to thank our host again, for his wonderful help and guidance. Upon arrival, he met us, helped with luggage and guided us through Medinas labirynths. Without his help we would have been lost. He was also very kind to provide all information about the city and restaurants. We had to leave to the airport at 3AM, he organized the travel, helped us with the luggage again and took us to the driver.
