• Jutta (9/5): Hyvällä sijainnilla tilava huone - 3 hlö huone oli todella tilava. Huone oli siisti, vuoteet mukavia, kahvin- ja teenkeittomahdollisuus plussaa. Patteri auttoi lämmityksessä hyvin. Sijainti oli hyvä, läheinen Haymarket josta hyvät juna- ja bussiyhteydet. Hyvä tietää, että hotellin alakerrassa sijaitsee pub, josta varsinkin jalkapallo otteluiden aikaan tulee meteliä. Huoneeseen melua kuului jonkun verran, minua se ei häirinnyt, ja meteli loppui hyvissä ajoin. En saanut jätettyä matkatavaroita säilytykseen, vaikka se olisi pitänyt olla mahdollista. Ymmärsin kyllä syyn, tärkeä jalkapallo-ottelu oli samaan aikaan.

• Arran (10/5): Being conveniently located, having friendly staff and clean & fresh decor, absolutely bargain. - The friendliness of the staff on arrival was great, so a big shout out to Amanda who checked me in. The rooms must have been recently upgraded, as it looked fresh and clean, with a massive shower. The location was incredible for me as I was there for the football and the stadium is only 5 minutes away, so I couldn't believe my luck. The hotel also has a pub on the ground floor, so I'm not sure that it could be any better.

• Mary (7/5): Clean, comfortable bed, great location. - Extremely clean facilities. Small, but had everything needed, and had perfect location for easy access to city centre! My room was private and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Pleasant toiletries and shower, and friendly and welcoming staff. Toiletries and biscuits and teabags were also provided, with a bottle of water, which was much appreciated. Shower head was a bit hard to position as it was floppy, door lock was rattly and desk was also quite wobbly, so some furniture could do with a revamp, but stay overall was great!

• Susanne (8/5): Jederzeit wieder :-) - Es war ein toller Aufenthalt hier ! Nachdem wir beim einchecken ein Zimmer direkt zur Straße bekommen haben und ich um ein etwas „leiseres“ Zimmer gebeten habe , war eines frei und wir durften es umgehend beziehen ! Alles super freundlich und flexibel !

• Grace (10/5): - Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are so lovely and helpful, not just with accommodation enquires but with recommendations for your stay in the city. Close to Haymarket train station and many bus stations. Absolutely would come back again! Above a pub so can hear some noises from downstairs but this didn’t bother us and it isn’t open super late.

I would've scored higher, but no one cleaned my room all week, which I didn't mind; but it meant the tea, coffee and water station wasn't replenished, so I went and bought more.

• Michelle (10/5): Perfect hotel for my trip - Right from the start I was delighted with this hotel. It was very close to where I was going, the room was ready on arrival, it was clean and new. The staff were lovely as was the outdoor patio area where we enjoyed a lovely pint. The bar was cosy and friendly. Our room was tidy and modern with nice toiletries. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again if I get the chance.

• Julia Godiva (3/5): No se ajusta calidad precio - El check in y el check out fue muuy rapido. La cama era cómoda, y estaba a unos 20-25 minutos en bus de Princess Street La habitacion era muy antigua, el ducharse era una odisea para poder encontrar la temperatura correcta sin morir de frio o quemarte literalmente. Igualmente el lavabo, lavarse la cara era o con agua congelada o agua hierviendo. El plato de ducha tenia una alfombra de goma en el suelo que no inspiraba comodidad y una cortina en lugar de una mampara. La calefacción no caldeaba demasiado el baño, vimos un aparato que creíamos que era un mini calefactor para el baño cuando nuestra sorpresa fue, que era un ventilador del que no pudimos hacer uso estando a 2 grados en Edimburgo. Estabamos a linea de calle, no podiamos abrir las cortinas si no queriamos que nos viese todo el mundo y la luz de la habitación iluminaba muy poco.

• Robert (7/5): Ok, ale jednak pokój ze wspólną łazienką tutaj odpada. - Przyjemna okolica i blisko na autobus. Pokoik był malutki, ale sam w sobie był czysty, cichy, dobrze się spało. Można było zrobić sobie herbatę, grzejnik działał. Nie przeszkadza mi wspólna łazienka, natomiast wiele do życzenia pozostawała jej czystość i kiepski odpływ wody. Nie ma osobnej toalety i łazienki, więc jeżeli ktoś się myje, no to do toalety trzeba biec na dół koło baru.

• Connall (3/5): Awful experience due to light. Not far from Haymarket. Clearly don't care. - The room was fine, it was a little way from the pub so the noise wasn't a concern. The pub was also closed when I went to bed at midnight. The room was well stocked with tea and coffee and I had an accessible shower/bathroom which was nice though I didn't need it to be accessible. I had a view of the outside keg storage, which would be fine but the motion activated security light across from my window brightly illuminated the room every few minutes when something moved past (cats, birds, idk) . Didn't get to sleep until 3am. Check out was 7-11, I got there at 8 and the bar was locked, lights off and there were no staff about to checkout with. I rang for the night porter (buzzer is only outside so not really for checkout) and eventually someone came and unlocked the bar and took my key but he didn't seem to expect me so I think I was just lucky. Would have had to just leave the key in the room otherwise and risk some sort of issue as I had a bus to catch. Didn't have time to complain about the light. I imagine they make all their money during the Fringe and just don't make the effort otherwise.

• Natacha (5/5): Vieillot, décrépi, isolation sonore zéro - Literie propre, lit relativement confortable. Check-in et check-out ultra rapide et simple, sans chichis. Facile d'accès par 4 ou 5 lignes de bus différentes. Vieillot, décrépi, isolation sonore zéro: La salle de douche a été "retapée" mais les travaux sont mal faits, les finitions inexistantes, un appareil fait un horrible bruit dès que l'eau coule, la douche a moisi, les accessoires viennent de Temu... C'est dépareillé, exigu, pas pratique et on ne savait pas si c'était sale ou juste vieux. Le jour passe sous la porte de la chambre, on entend les voisins parler, les murs sont en carton... La fenêtre en simple vitrage n'est pas verrouillée de l'intérieur, et même fermée on entendait la rue comme si elle était ouverte. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits et le ménage de la chambre n'a pas été fait (alors que nous avons croisé le personnel en sortant).

Très bien desservi par réseau de bus vers le centre ville, bien desservi également depuis l'aéroport (tram + bus); Pour les amateur de rugby tout proche du stade de Murayfield. Chambre pas très bien insonorisée et voisin bruyant.
• Darren (10/5): A wonderful short stay experience in a lovely hotel. - I stayed at the Ardmillan Hotel while attending a conference in Edinburgh. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted by staff and owners who were friendly, extremely helpful and informative. It was my first time in Edinburgh but not once during my stay did I feel like a stranger. From information about public transport to when and where to visit the numerous attractions, everyone at the hotel were brilliant. I would highly recommend the Ardmillan Hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh. I have nothing to say about not liking anything. There simply is nothing that I experienced that I did not like.
