Guest Reviews
- shirin (10/5): - It’s right in heart of fira - large room - traditional Greek style - perfect for 1 week stay for a couple -
- Timothy (10/5): Great location and great service - Perfect location to walk to everything. Stelios the manager was amazing and helped me book a wonderful half day cruise and transportation when needed. He spent a lot of time telling me about the best places to visit. The hotel is budget friendly but met my needs very well. It can be a bit noisy especially when other guests slam the wooden doors in the hallway but overall I would recommend Villa Toula.
- Hunter (10/5): - Super kind and helpful owner. Plus new mattresses this season!
- Andrea (10/5): Perfect little place - Excellent location. Great price.
Consigliata
- Zhi (10/5): - We have a Very good stay experience, near bus station and restaurant, easy to go everywhere.
- Klevie (10/5): - It is situated in Heart of Fira...walking distance to you need and want. Simple setting which was quite good enough for my needs. The owner made sure you are taken care of totally. Beautiful Santorini
- Chad (10/5): - Very friendly and very helpful owners
- Josh (10/5): - Nice property very close to everything in Fira. Great value for price.
- Sara (8/5): - The owner was wonderful (easy to communicate with for my arrival). The room was small but functional and had a beautiful balcony. The center of Fira was a 2 minute walk away which allowed me to walk everywhere! The bus station was about a 7 minute walk as well, allowing easy access by public transport anywhere I wanted.
Lovely experience!
- Hetty (10/5): - Stelius was very helpful reachable at all time thru whatapp. He set up our airport/port transportations with Zorzos travel. Very nice mercedes vans with air conditioner and plenty of space.
- Amisha (8/5): - Within walking distance to everything. Shower had major drainage issues, a/c unit was annoying, and doors are loud.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - A bit difficult to find the hotel. Close to town.
- Amie (10/5): - Clean and nic e
- Sandy (8/5): Friendly and special experience - It is nice to stay at Villa Toula, that people are friendly and can experience living in a Greece-style room in a house using a very reasonable price. The location is also great for transit. It is better to arrange the shuttle pick-up if you are from the ferry port through the hotel. We missed their email offer before the arrival that the price is very reasonable.
- Roderick (10/5): - Cozy little quiet place but so close to everything.
- Akihiro (4/5): - Chilly place out of this area, few guidance and support in this hotel, staff are not always there
- Alanah (8/5): - Property is well located. 5 minute walk from the bus station and the center of Fira.
- Darren (2/5): Best avoided - Stayed here just for one night thankfully,
The hotel is clean and centrally located but that’s where it ends!
Small pokey room, tiny bed and the most uncomfortable place I’ve ever slept in, noise from other guests, noisy area, although cheap, I would avoid like the plague!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was as described, clean and in a really convenient area close to everything (bus station, restaurants etc). The host was super polite and helped us a lot.
- Enzoalfio (10/5): - Vills Toula is a great position and close to all main attractions, in the middle between Oia and the beautiful beaches in the South. Stelios, the manager, is a very friendly and nice person, who helped us renting a quad and organising our days in Santorini. His work is extremely reliable and in line with the new anti-virus measures. The room was clean and tidy, with a nice balcony and a/c. We will definitely come back to Villa to enjoy Santorini. Thank you very much Stelio!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was wonderful, the manager off the property was very pleasant.
- Laura (10/5): Great location, service and time! - The location was prime, the service was awesome and they even provided service transport for us from and to the airport to make traveling easy! The room itself was clean and comfortable. And the patio was a great place to just hang out and relax between all the other fun stuff to do on the island! Can't beat it for the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I do not recommend to book a budget room - bad condition.
- Tash (10/5): Great spot! - We stayed in a twin room that was clean, spacious and had a terrace. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Great position, close to everything. Would recommend!
- Daphné (10/5): Perfect stay in Santorini - My boyfriend and I adore our stay at Villa Toula! The shuttle service is just perfect and we were taken care of very well. The location is ideal and the area is simply beautiful. The room is small but fonctionnal and clean.
- MINJUNG (10/5): We love this accommodation and the host!! - We really liked this accommodation!! Host was super nice and kind!! I've been to many countries so used a lot of accommodations but He's the best host ever :D He explained some places to travel using a map and some information about Santorini. Even he prepared for an emergency cell phone for guests who don't have data for just in case! And we could use some towels for beach. And free breakfast♡ He treats guests very well so we were touched! A room is cozy and clean even though it's not big. Everything including Hot water, air conditioner was perfect!! I strongly recommend this accommodation!! Thank you so much♡
- Paola (8/5): Great service! - The location is perfect. 3 min walking distance from lots of restaurants and the bus that takes you around the island without the business of being on the square. The service was excellent. Vasilis the manager went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The bathroom was a bit small without hot water, but okay for a day or two stay. The courtyard was cosy and a small breakfast was served in the morning with excellent coffee.
- Tricia (8/5): - Vassilis greeted us with a huge smile every day, creating a very welcoming place. He was helpful in suggesting things to do and where to eat helped with transportation arrangements when needed. The property was basic, but very clean. The location was great - close to the action, but tucked away so it felt restful I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Toula.
- George (10/5): - A nice hotel, run by extremely helpful and friendly owner, close to the city center. No pool and no sea view, but 5 minute walk to Fira central bus station and 5 minute walk to the cable car. Good fast WiFi. If you come to Santorini to walk around, this is the place I'd consider.
- Marie-Andree (8/5): Great stay overall - Pros: The hotel is well located, close to Fira's center without being noisy. The room was clean. They offer tea, coffee, juice and cake every morning. The man at the reception is very helpful. He gave us a map of the island when we arrived and gave us a lot of recommandations on what to do during our stay.
Cons: We had arrange a pick-up on our arrival from the port to the hotel, but nobody came so we had to take the bus to get to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice staff and location - Very close to restaurants, shopping area and the bus station. The owner is very kind and friendly. Wifi is available, but bad connection in our room. The bathroom needs some work.
- Lucy (8/5): Excellent host and location made this stay - The host was incredible - super friendly, answered all our questions and was willing to do anything for us (even with his leg in a cast!). The location was also really good as it was very central but also quiet enough at night to sleep
- Yvette (10/5): Satisfied with our 2-night stay - This is a smaller family run style hotel. Vassilis, the owner (sorry, if misspelled) is a very congenial guy.who tries to help with every little thing. The room is small, so is the bathroom and bed - but it serves its purpose and the price is right. Thira is an extremely busy little town with crowds of tourists and Villa Toula is still in the centre, but little bit tucked away on a side street, so it's quiet. You get free orange juice, tea/coffee and pastry between 8-12 in the morning, so it's a nice start to the day. We spent 2 nights - did local bus trip (E1.80/person one way, Sept 2017) to Oia for sightseeing and swimming off Ammoudi Bay. Clean room, fast wifi. We had a great stay! Thank you, Villa Toula.
- Sonia (8/5): Perfect choice for the budget traveler! - We booked this hotel with location and price as our top priorities so if you have the right expectations, you will have a great stay. The owner graciously helped us arrange transport to and from the airport for our 1am and 10pm flights to and from Athens for 15 euros each way which made the transportation portion of our trip worry-free. A liter of bottled water and strong wifi were also great pluses.
In the morning, he greeted us and took the time to show us the lay of the land. Location couldn't be better. Everything is within a 2-5 minute walk from the hotel: cable car to the Old Port, train station to the Athinios Port (if you'd like to ferry over to visit the other islands), hike from Fira to Oia (amazing!) and the Fira town center.
Now, I do want to caution you that if you're looking more for accommodations for a honeymoon stay or something that would be at the same level as a 3+ star U.S. hotel, this would not be the right fit. Toilet and shower are literally inches away from each other and the bed on average is much smaller (full size I think) with a thinner mattress. If these things don't bother you though, then you will enjoy your time!
- Catherine (6/5): Great location but bad bed and overcharged - Owners were very busy with a busload of 32 people.
We were put off on our breakfast.
Charged more than told by the website.
Bed was horrible, could feel the springs.
Lovely house
Just felt the owner was grumpy and burnt out
- Jennie (6/5): Good location hotel - The hotel is located in a central position. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We had two rooms, the single room was ok , but the double one was too small; there was hardly room to move.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hotel with excellent customer service - Hotel facilities and condition are just fine but staff's supports to hotel guests are excellent
- Kerrie (8/5): First visit to Santorini - Helpful and welcoming service from Villa Toula - thank you Vassilis!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, excellent location, great service - Nice hotel, close to shops, restaurants and the bus station. Great host, very friendly and helpful. It offers free shuttle to the airport. The only con was that the wifi in the room worked on and off.
- Mike (10/5): Nice Hotel, Perfect Location - Villa Toula had the most friendly and knowledgeable staff at any of our 5 hotels on our 3 week trip to Greece. They always greeted you with a smile and gave great suggestions about where to eat, go, and see. Each morning we were provided with a breakfast in the courtyard to start our day.
The location was PERFECT!!!! About 3 blocks away from the downtown caldera area. It meant that we had everything at our finger tips, without any of the noise or crowds. We plan on using Villa Toula for all of our visits to Santorini in the future.
Thank you for such a great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Location - Can't be the location. The owner is so welcoming. Small rooms but we didn't vacation to sit in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to town center - Pros: great customer service, free pickup from ferry terminal, good size room, clean room, and close proximity to town center. It was raining when we got there. Staff helped everyone in carrying luggage from shuttle drop off to the hotel. He was very nice and patient.
Cons; can't think of anything except you will have to walk a few steps.
- sailnz (10/5): Highly recommend - Clean, comfortable, quiet and central location make this a perfect Villa to stay while exploring Fira. Fridge with water, a/c, kettle, hair dryer, etc. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent value, highly recommend.
- A (10/5): Great Staff, Good Location - The Villa Toula was an adorable place to stay in Santorini! It's very close to the square, making it great and easy to get around by foot. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. While it was a little tricky to find initially, it was a very pleasant stay!
- Brett (10/5): Awesome staff! - This hotel is kind of a budget hotel for the area but it was great for value. The location was perfect right in the middle of Fira town close to all the shops, bars, and restaurants. The rooms were basic but adequate. The manager was super nice and friendly, he even let me borrow his personal electrical outlet adapter until I was able to find a store that sold one. A pleasant stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Helpful staff - I had only one day to spend in Santorini. When I arrived late (plane got delayed so I got at the airport at midnight), the owner was waiting for me. In the morning for breakfast, she came and gave me a schedule and things to do in one day for the duration of the stay. Thanks to that itinerary, I was able to visit and see everything on the island.
