• chris (10/5): Great place to stay in Windsor - Renee and family were very helpful and provided a huge breakfast that included muffins, juice, yogurt and fruit, eggs with sausage and bacon and fresh vegetables and one day we even had dessert. The courses kept coming. After the first day we asked her to eliminate some of the food. But the fresh fruit was great. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Nothing but a word to those who have issues with stairs- the king suite is up two flights of stairs and the other rooms are up one flight.

• Christophe (8/5): - The property is located in a quiet area of town. It's about a 20 min walk from the train station. The place has a rustic charm; paint is a little chipped here and there. But the hosts keep it very clean. From what I understand, each room is a bit different. Mine came with a private bathroom, TV, and a little fridge. I didn't try the breakfast, so I'm not sure what it's like. Wifi and air conditioning worked very well. Nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay again.

• Riemers (9/5): Surprisingly warm and friendly. - Way better than a hotel, seriously. My wife's knee is messed up, and she actually teared up when she saw the place I booked. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the neighborhood isn't the best. But after a good night's sleep and a fresh breakfast, she was already talking about coming back. The staff is awesome, and you'll be staying somewhere with some real personality. Heads up, parking's on the street. The waterfront's like, 5k away. Basically, if you're not driving, you're stuck. So, you know, plan for that.

• Rosalind (8/5): Wonderful breakfast! - The breakfast was incredible. Hot, delicious and filling. Fruit, yogurt, sausage, bacon, English muffin, eggs, orange juice and delicious coffee. Our bed was very comfortable. The upper suite had a window air-conditioner. It was loud, and for that reason, I didn't get a restful sleep. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise.

Not much to write here, but leaving a light on at the entrance for night time coming in would be safer and more convenient, as would a hook to hang up clothes/robe in bathroom. Also, re the street lights coming in the window at night, a pull-down blind to the AC unit would help block out some of this light.

• Dan (9/5): Great, cozy BnB with great hospitality. - The location was great, right in Walkerville with great restaurants and shops. Minutes from the US border and close to the river where you can catch of glimpse of Lake St. Clair to the right and downtown Detroit and Windsor to the left. The bed was exactly as described and we greeted warmly upon arrival by Rita. We definitely would stay there again when hotel rates are around $200/night. Thank you for a nice weekend getaway!! Noisy staircase where you can everyone going up and down. Water pressure in the shower was on the weak side too.

• Andrew (7/5): Comfortable with a location suitable to what we came to Windsor to see and people we came to visit! - Location was ok but on our first visit a couple of years earlier we had the top floor so this time it was kind of a disappointment being in room #3 but it was comfortable and we sleep well! TV was only a BC network and we couldn’t watch the sports we wanted to see!

• Chris (8/5): - The stairs are a concern for elderly. Everything creaks loudly. The single beds were ok. I would have liked room darkening curtains for street lights. The blow dryer wasn't working. There was zero traffic unlike a hotel. It was quiet once I settled in. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Parking was right outside the door and communication was timely.
• Verified traveler (8/5): A good place that needs a bit of money spent on it - A very lovely room with large airjet bath A good bed but the sofas were very poor and uncomfortable - springs sticking into you or sinking so low it was hard to get out of. Its location is great - close to city centre, river, parks and good resturants. Except for the sofa well worth the money. I would return there when visiting Windsor.

I appreciated the smooth check in and parking instructions. Charging for breakfast separately was an unpleasant surprise, since it's a BNB and all. The amenities were very basic (tiny TV), and I heard sounds constantly during the night. It sounded like the furnace was running constantly and I was always worried the TV was audible to my neighbors. It was very hard to sleep.

My husband and I met some very nice people at breakfast time which is always a plus. We got away just for some R&R and had such a wonderful time, we will be visiting again.
