- Wendy (8/5): - This place is a good stay in Las Terrenas, well priced, clean, close to restaurants and shopping, friendly staff, professional, and accommodating. The only critique is that the apartment has two areas for the bathroom. The toilet is in the living room and the shower/sink is in another small area inside the bedroom. This layout was inconvenient because you have to leave the bedroom to get to the toilet in the living room/kitchen, where there were no black out curtains. In this case, privacy might be an issue. Otherwise, we liked the place and recommend it. Hope this helps!

- Catherine (8/5): - After a little hiccup with an AC at the original penthouse, we were switched to better accommodations. The apartment at Aligio was modern and beautiful — equipped with comfortable beds, a nice jacuzzi and fully functional appliances. We used the fridge to keep our “Presidentes vestidas de novia”, stove to make our cafecito in the morning, and even used the pots to make quick dishes for the kids. The AC units, which are a must for a summer in Terrenas, functioned well. The complimentary breakfast was simple (eggs scrambled, fried, or omelette with mangu/salami or fresh bread), the juice was a bit watered down, and the coffee was pretty decent. If you’re new to Terrenas, I would recommend forgoing the all inclusive route because there are so many great restaurants in the area; you’ll never need to eat in the same place twice, unless you would like to, of course. The kids really enjoyed the 2 pools — both clean and well maintained. Aligio is located across the street from Terrenas beach. Although that particular part of the beach is not the best Terrenas has to offer, it is nice and convenient, especially for an early dip (you can leave sleepy partners/kids/party in the room). The beauty of Terrenas tourism is that you can go to one of the many beaches and just relax there all day, lounging in one of the beachfront restaurants (they’re more like big huts) that make for more authentic Dominican beach fare.

Only thing I didn't like and wouldn't recommend is the breakfast, yes it's free which is great. But after the 2nd day, you want something different. They should have MORE Different Fruit, different Sweet breads. Some Fresh juices, as Fruit is everywhere, Different Fresh juices. It just seems very bland. That is all I have to say, otherwise is a very nice, good hotel. Loved the location :)

Paid for room w balcony jacuzzi but it wasn’t full of water upon arrival so didn’t heat up during our 3 days! So what’s the purpose of selling this room for more?! Breakfast left much to be desired for taste and options and the women working it are miserable. Not worth the money. Area didn’t feel safe for women and children at night. Couldn’t find a grocery store. Just not worth it

It’s not a real hotel , more a kind apartment complex with some services . Prices very high for the service you get

- Scott (4/5): - We are only two people but spent extra and booked a two room suite in order to have a jacuzzi to enjoy. Upon arrival we inspected the hot tub and the jets didn't function. A repair man came and told us he was unable to repair it but he would send someone else to repair it but it never worked during our stay. When we asked for an adjustment the hotel staff said they would not give us any adjustments but they would perhaps give us some sort of special consideration the next visit. No coupon or certificate, just trust. This was our third visit, but we won't be back.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Aligio has been my choice of hotel in las terrenas since they opened. Their installations are good however since their administration changed from the French lady to this current administration everything changed. There is absolutely no customer service starting from the front desk who I asked at 6:00 pm why my apartment was not clean and his answer was that he was the receptionist so basically I had to figured out myself. The reason is simple they are understaffed and the cleaning lady cannot keep up with the amount of work they have which is a shame. Everyday booking new customers and when you get there your apartment is not ready at checking in because the cleaning ladies cannot keep up with the work. Shame on the administration who is basically exploiting these ladies. Breakfast is everyday the same and absolutely no quality. I was there 8 days and by the 3rd day I went out to have breakfast. In a nutshell if in your vacations good service and a nice breakfast are a must, do not stay in this hotel because you will be disappointed. If what you are looking for is just a place to stay and nothing else. This hotel might be an option. I personally am not coming back to Aligio. Las terrenas have many options and customer service is for me the deciding factor in any place I chose.

The staff at the reception does not care at all about satisfying any concern you might have as a customer. When I asked why my apartment was not cleaned he did not know but was not willing to find out neither basically he could care less. For other part the breakfast is terrible and the same thing everyday, I visit las terrenas every year and I would keep coming back but I would never stay in Aligio again. Their lack of customer service is upsetting and when I go on vacation I do not like to get upset because it is not the idea and purpose of a family vacation.

Located exactlyone quick step away from the Atlantic Ocean and sandy beaches .The best part was the friendly staff, always helpful, and the charming French female owner of the on site restaurant where we had our complimentary breakfast. We cancelled an all inclusive resort to stay at the Aligio - great choice!

It felt more like an apartment than a hotel, which was maybe more than we needed but perfect for extended stays. The property was beautiful, located across the street from the beach and nearby a very good restaurant, La Dolce Vita.The breakfast included was delightful and very filling! Fresh fruit and juices, eggs, meat, and toast. The staff was lovely and very friendly. Highly recommend a massage and facial at the spa located on site, the ladies were amazing!!! NOT SO GOOD: Although this place was nice, the water pressure in the shower was VERY weak. So weak in fact, that I was not able to wash my hair during our stay :( And for the price ($100 USD per night), I expected better because I know for certain I could've found a better value apartment. We stayed in a place the night before for $50/night that had similar amenities and excellent water pressure... additionally, the air conditioner only went down to a certain temp in the bedroom and we found it warm at times. Also, there is no door or curtain for the shower. It is open into the bedroom, we found this strange. Made it harder to keep the bedroom cool.

- James (10/5): - Beautiful and well maintained. Very clean. The restaurant on site was adequate. Only frustration for us was the lack of knowledge of English by the Kalista restaurant workers. The stall of the Aligio had passable English skills. Only coffeemaker in the apartment was an old European-style percolator. It might make delicious coffee - we didn't try it. I would have loved to sip coffee on the terrace in the early morning.

- Kristy (10/5): - I loved our stay at Aligio and would stay again! the beach was right across the street and easily accessible. The Restaurant served great traditional Dominican breakfast which was yummy! Lunch and dinner from the restaurant was also very good. The hotel and restaurant staff were also very friendly :) our jacuzzi was dirty but they sent someone to clean it right away. The penthouse we stayed in had everything we needed. Thanks Aligio for making our stay wonderful!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent property best location close to restaurants and shops and a great beach in front of the property but close to other beautiful beaches staff is wonderful very responsive quick to respond has a beautiful restaurant with great food but several restaurants within 5 minute walk we were a group of 7 and a 2 year old and this was the perfect place for us highly recommend it we will definitely stay here again
- Matthew (8/5): Aligio - This was my second time staying here. Easy check in/out. Clean apartment well equipped with everything you need. Two pools. Beach is directly across the street. Several great restaurants within walking distance. Buffet breakfast at hotel restaurant was good as well

- Vivi (8/5): - Perfectly located across the street from the beach, a very nice beach. The property itself is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. My children loved the pool. We didn't like the breakfast because it didn't have many options and there were many flies all over it. Also, we asked if we could have two more guests in our apartment and we were willing to pay an extra fee, but they said no even though there were enough beds for everybody. They wanted us to book a second apartment, which was $145 per night!, so the nice couple who took us from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas had to go back to Santo Domingo, which is a long ride with many tolls.

- Tina (10/5): Wow!!!! - The most amazing hotel I’ve stayed in. From check in to check out. Super clean and staff willing to help and very friendly. The free breakfast was delicious. You are literally across from the beach 10 steps from your hotel. Security is awesome, at night they picked us up in their golf cart so we didn’t have to walk after being out late. All I can say is WOW! I will definitely stay again.
