Verified traveler (4/5): - We were not informed that there was no drinkable water in the room before we saw the sign telling us not to drink the water. And no drinkable water was left in the room for us to drink. The next morning we found an almost empty water distributer from what we were able to fill our own bottle and finally brush our teeth. We asked questions but no one seems to be able to talk to us. The next morning, the cleaning lady was able to answer our questions. The hotel really need a tender loving care. The floor was so sticky in the breakfast room and no one cleaned the table when a family left so we had to clean it oursefl with napkins. First and last time we went there.

Judy (2/5): Stay Away - Over the past 20 years I have stayed here and always been very happy. I had not returned in 6 years and it has gone severely downhill. Something is wrong!! I stayed 3 nights and my room wasn't cleaned at all. It was filthy and clothes and suitcase soaked up the odor -- just dreadful. Couldn't drink the water either. For your own health, stay away and perhaps the police should be notified. There's really something fishy going on here. So disappointed. If it hadn't been a holiday weekend and I could have gone to a different hotel I would have run to one. I was trapped. Hotels.com should remove them from its list.
mariemG4046DR (2/5): Avoid at all cost! - We were a group of 10 and all rooms were dirty although they said it had been cleaned. The hotel has been without potable water for over 3 years yet other places across the street have good water! The towels and bed sheets were stained, which they said was because of their water! It smelled very bad and I was certainly glad to leave the next morning! The cost outweighs the value you get! Breakfast was nothing to talk about for sure. This place looks like it’s a front for something else! STAY AWAY!!!!

ladybleu (4/5): Very Dirty Hotel - I was very disappointed with this Hotel.The room they gave up was dirty they haden't even vacuumed the carpets.The room was smelly.The young man at the front desk was very nice though he changed our room immediatly when requested.The second room was as smelly but at least a bit cleaner.The outdoor pool was green.The indoor pool wasn't inspiring either.The outdoor view was cool and the little restaurant next door was very good.It's sad because this place could have alot of potential if it was better taken care of.

La connexion wifi était trop faible dans la chambre, il fallait aller à la réception. Souvent, il n'y avait pas de personnel à la réception.

kellytI5774PX (2/5): No water and smelly rooms - My group of 9 booked this hotel for close prox to Granby zoo. When we showed up & went to room, there was a sign on mirror stating the water was under investigation...found out it has been for 3 years....You can't drink or shower in it. The rooms smelled musty and the AC unit was open to outside to let all the bugs in. The indoor pool had no water in it and continental breakfast was corn flake, tang and hard boiled eggs on a tray. The wifi password and service looked like it was from neighbors & did not work. Also the ceiling tiles in bathroom were full of mold and sagging down. The staff hang out by kids play structure and smoke on their breaks. I would not recommend staying here to anyone unfortunately. It needs a major overhaul renovation. Too bad, because it was a nice location.

C'est vieillot et mal entretenu.Notre premier coup d'oeil à l'arrivée, on voit une rampe qui tombe et l'asphalte percée à certains endroits. C'est peu rassurant. L'hôtel aurait besoin d'une cure de rajeunissement. Au moins, c'était propre et tranquille. Pour une nuit, ça pouvait faire. Une chance que c'était pas chère.

Les rideaux sont à moitié arrachés, une énorme toile d’araignée était au plafond. Aucune moustiquaire aux portes patio, empêchant d’ouvrir les portes pour aérer. Le frigo disponible coule, les lits n’ont pas de draps housse et sentent la poussière. La salle de bains est très vieille, beaucoup de calcaire partout. Des traces de dégâts d’eau sont apparents.

Sarah (2/5): Pu jamais - Bonjour Moi sarah fortier et ma famille somme aller coucher a votre hotel du 5 au 6 aout et on avait la chambre 109 je sais pas si toute vos chambre se ressemble met celle la est degueulasse et as besoin d amour premiere et derniere fois que j allait a votre hotel la premiere chose que jai faite en rentrant dans la chambre est d entrer le code du wifi pour regarder les dispo dans une autre hotel et malheureusement rien trouver et une chance j avait des enfants pk je dormait dans mon auto detecteur de fumer a decouvert pas sur quil fonction et thermostat meme chose a decouvert une grosse toile d araignée en haut a gauche de la porte patio on peut pas la manquer et la peinture est plus que due la tete de lit toute croche et quand je suis entrer dans la salle de bain il y avait une debarbouillette deja utiliser qui pendait sur la pole du bain piscine interieur pas ouverte heurkkk!!

Carl (6/5): OK for one night - Did not expect much, didn’t get much... Location is ok, cleanliness is ok, but there should be some work to do. There was a hole in the wall, there have been a previous water spill on the ceiling in the bathroom and they haven’t even change the ceiling tiles... The thermostat was literally falling apart. The girl at the front counter was courteous, but she did not had our hotels.com reservation (didn’t cause any problem). With some renovation, this hotel could be ok.
jipig2016 (8/5): Good price value. - I was at Hotel le Mirador for Christmas day for one night and for the price of $75.00 I was surprise of the of the room and amenities we had. Indoor pool, pool table, nice room , little fridge, flat screen TV, free parking, etc. Don't understand the other reviews but the water was good, smell very clean and I will go back for more than one night in two month from now. For me and my wife we do recommend this Hotel anytime and I have been to many and paid a lot more for less.

The water might not be drinkable in third-world countries but at least their bathrooms don't smell worse after you flush the toilettes! Because of the language barrier at the front desk, I couldn't even get instructions on how to get to our room.
Roam795764 (2/5): Bad Stay, don’t be fooled by the pictures like me. - I’m not sure how they can run a hotel with water that you can’t drink. There are water coolers where you need to go get water. This place is in need of huge amounts of repairs. The carpets were vacuumed but stained. None of the lamps were working, one had no light bulb and the other the bulb was dangling in the socket and the cord of the lamp had been dangerously spliced together and taped together. When we got there it seemed like their whole family was hanging out in the lobby area which was very unprofessional. This was the worst place to stay and way overpriced for the quality. You would expect much better for that price. I had chosen the location in part for the zoo, big mistake.

FrançoisGauthie (4/5): - I liked the hotel situation. Near everything. But for the price, the room was fair. The tap water was undrinkable. There was missing a bulb in a light beside the bed and the other light was unplugged and was usable only by plugging the cord to the wall inlet and if you wanted to kill the light you had to unplugged it. The bath was beautifull but very hard to access (No stairs) and function buttons were broken. Anf finally, you, Expedia told us that there were only one room left and it was untrue so you are unreliable, i'm sorry.

Owners can barrely speak English-no french service Smelly rooms- smelled humidity and moth ball Needs major rénovations!!!!!! Advertised on their website an indoor spa...spa was emply and inusable Indoor pool not lighting avaialble in the room If you drive an aditionnal 5-10 minutes you can stay in downtown Granby and have many stores and restaurants in walking distance. ***AVOID THIS HOTEL*** We requested a reimbursment and left.
graham (4/5): - wifi was horrible and had to have front desk keep RE-CONNECTING. Tv did not work and had to have front desk come up and get it working. Hair dryer in room did not work at all. Water was contaminated and notes stuck to wall saying NOT to consume it . ( how do you brush teeth?) The room faced the back which overlooked a dirty smelly swamp, and lots of heavy brush. ( the view was not bad and im sure water was gross because it is spring) BUT...there was no screens on patio door....completely broken off and laying outside on the main balcony adjoining all rooms. Room smelled moldy and musty and old and could not go out and leave door open because anyone could come in ! Because of stagnant swamp and brush, the mosquitos were unbearable, so it was very stuffy and horrible. Room comes with breakfast. We went down at 9 and it consisted of a loaf of white and brown bread, 3 rock hard bagels, a couple apples and 2 bananas and about 1 inch left of old coffee, and no hot water for tea, or tea bags, or anything else. There was juice in fridge and half a bag of milk. The juice was about 2 inches in bottom of large pitcher and it was cloudy and I am sure left there for days. VERY DISGUSTING. we did not eat !! would never go back...the price was outrageous for what we got...should have slept in car and saved the money !!

Luc (2/5): Do not stay there if this is just a stopover. - Arrived after 10:30 pm to find the hotel locked up even though our reservation from your site says registration till midnight. Rang the door bell for 5 minutes with no response. A weekly renter then arrived a rang the door bell repeatedly for over a minute but no response. His response about the in house rep was nit repeatable. He called his roommate to come unlock the door. Once in he indicated the door to the innkeeper. We knocked repeatedly and rang the counter bell. We were getting ready to leave when someone came in from a back door. The innkeeper was in his bathing suit and said to us I thought I heard something. Next comment was I am off duty as of 9 pm. He did register us in. Room door secondary lock did not work as it was evident door had been kicked in in the past. Set up a chair against the door as a precaution. Sign by the washroom indicated not to drink the water. Was being tested. The sign looked like it had been there for over a year. Washroom walls were dirty looked like snot on the walls ceiling tiles in the washroom were damaged and some napkins were used to plug a hole over the shower. Hair dryer did not work. Room was very dated. I booked this hotel as I stayed there overnight about 6 years ago. Was very plain but clean. Seems very run down now and will not ever rebook for an overnight stay

However for a one or two night stay it works and the price is probably good for what you get. Very nice and friendly young couple seem to be running the motel.

Michel (10/5): Very pleased with the motel. Quiet place to stay. - I went skiing in Bromont so this motel was only 10kms away...not far. At breakfast, you have a lot to choose from. ( continental ). Ideal not to get too stuffed for the ski.
Les (2/5): Close to the highway... that's all - The hotel was meant to be a quick getaway for my friend and I. I arrived and noticed immediately all the chipping paint. The whole place was VERY dated. Trying to keep an open mind because the price was very reasonable and the location was good, I checked in. It was weird they asked for payment at check-in. The room was small, the beds uncomfortable and you really felt like this was a rent- by-the-hour kind of place. Still trying to make the best of it we decided to go and sit in the hot tub. We got in and before we could sit we could see the ring of grey film around the whole tub and things floating around. We immediately got out and went back to our room. We pulled the bedspread back and it was covered in hair (not just the from your head variety), we went and asked for another blanket and we received a sheet... we then used the wifi to book another hotel about 10 minutes away. We probably spent a total of 2 hours in the hotel trying to find positives but just couldn't do it. Oh and you can't drink the water... Not an establishment we will ever visit twice!

Verified traveler (6/5): Water issues - Facilities nice - indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub. Good breakfast included. Only issue was that they use well water and it smells. Don't plan on bathing or showering while you are there and bring your own drinking water. Would have been nice if they included a couple bottles of water in the room, but overall good deal for the price.
dissapointed (2/5): Don't book if you want clean water - Water smelled bad. They said it was sulfur in the water. There were no where else to go so we were stuck with the hotel for the night. We used the bottled water we took from home to brush teeth. Sheets were crumpled and not clean. The breakfast didn't have much choice and no coffee, we ended up eating breakfast out. Overall a very bad and sad experience.

pompombionique (6/5): Water Problem - The hotel is fine, good price. Family hotel. But there was no drinking water available. Only water bottles. When i took my shower, a strong sulfer odor invaded the room. It's because of that problem that i gave an average rating. If you wish to book ir; ask if the problem is solved.
Sylvain (6/5): FELT LIKE A MOTEL NOT A HOTEL - The bathroom hair dryer did not work. Wallpaper was stripped in the hallway and in the room. Beds were extremely hard.
EstherA599 (6/5): Nice stay...needs some updates - We booked Le Mirador for our weekend in Granby, as we were taking the kids to the zoo. We found it to be clean, and the staff very friendly, although they did not have any idea about what was available in Granby itself. When we asked about restaurants, they only gave us a flyer for takeout, and pointed to a chip stand next door. We went in the latter part of August, and were excited for the pool but it was green and closed, so the kids were disappointed in that. It was still warm enough for swimming. The kids did use the trampoline, although it needs repair. I kind of got the feeling that maybe this hotel has been taken over in new management that is not used to running a hotel? Everyone was kind and friendly, but sort of unaware of their surroundings, if that makes any sense. Okay, but would not stay there again.
Verified traveler (4/5): Bare bones, does in a pinch - Bare bones. Ran out of toilet paper, room was not made up, lights had burt out bulbs, no hairdryer. OK if you are in a pinch and just need a bed. Staff was friendly when they were there.

Verified traveler (6/5): Decent hotel close to Granby Zoo - We had booked a room on the bottom floor, with view of the lake (away from the road) We were given a second floor room with view of the highway, and we were not allowed to switch. Also, when we arrived, our room was 90 degrees, and took a long time to cool down. It was so uncomfortable, I wish that the staff had turned on some fans or a/c at least a little before we had arrived. There were two table lamps that did not work, even with new light bulbs in them. With two small children finally sleeping, I couldn't even have staff come into the room to check the lights for us. The staff was not very helpful and had a lot of trouble understanding any English. Other than the extreme heat in the room, and the wrong room booked for us, the room was pleasant, a nice size and nice and clean. The continental breakfast was very basic, but fine. We didn't use the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool was comfortable and pleasant.
Aprilkd (10/5): Very sweet staff - We stayed twice in two weeks and were treated like royalty! I would recommend this hotel with great staff and well priced also had two pools. The breakfast was good too! :) next time we go back to granby zoo we are headed straight to the mirador to check in! !

The big downfall with our stay was the noise all night long. Banging on doors, running around, People talking loud,,,Some young teenager girl nocked at our room door at 5:30 am , said she made a mistake , had the wrong room--To much partying maybe??--Not a very good night sleep at all.

Modernizing and improved cleanliness will add to what was once a really nice property. Guest would also enjoy a hot selection of items at the breakfast bar and not just cold selections.
Ave1950 (8/5): wonderful experiance - We booked this hotel at the last minute, the price was very good for what we got. The rooms where clean, comes with fridge, cable, hair dryer, shampoo, soap and little patio, it has a pool indoor and outdoor, hot tub(was unfortunately being fixed while we where there) a nice play area in the back for the kids. The lobby has a pool table and is very cozy. It also comes with breakfast that has lots of nice options. The staff is absolutely wonderful and very helpful. It was a really nice experience defiantly recommend staying here.
366Nicole528 (8/5): Enjoyed our stay at Le Mirador! - We recently stayed for 2 nights at Le Mirador, while visiting the Granby Zoo. We found the owner and staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean. It included a fridge. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool. Breakfast was included. It was very convenient to the Granby Zoo. We purchased our tickets through the hotel which was very convenient, as we then went in the "VIP" line to get our park bracelets instead of the lengthy lines to purchase them. The park was 8 miles from the hotel. Very easy/direct route. We enjoyed our stay at Le Mirador
