Guest Reviews
- Jess (10/5): - Amazing hospitality. Was met by Tracy upon check in... she helped us find attractions around the city and was very accommodating and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Hosts, wonderful atmosphere and very comfortable. I live in Whitehorse and travel to Dawson for work, I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
- Ian (8/5): - This is a well-maintained property and the owners are hands on. The only issue I had was that the restaurant was closed and I'm told the food is excellent. I was there in the off season so the rooms weren't full, but it was extremely quiet. They have shoes off policy which helps a lot with noise. It's walking distance everywhere.
- Trevor (10/5): - I’ll keep this short and simple...... Room Nine, AMAZING! The lovely Host attentive to all your requirements and I will be hearing back without hesitation sometime soon.
- Z.W. (10/5): - Super friendly owner, picked me up in the airport, and offered a lot help. Feel like home in the town of Dawson city
- slm (8/5): - this is a lovely classy hotel. We stayed in the annex next door to the main hotel. It has only 4 rooms. Our room was on the second level and was very large and clean but there is no TV in the room although there is a 'family' room on the main floor with a TV to share. It was hot the day we were there and this room did not have A/C
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was all good! The food was excellent ,the staff was super.
- Louise (10/5): - Great stay at the Aurora Inn. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Check-in was amazingly quick and friendly. The attached restaurant served us an amazing meal. Would definitely recommend the Inn and restaurant and WOULD definitely stay there again when or if we return to Dawson City. R&L
- Kenneth (6/5): - We understand why the edict to take off shoes was presented.. but wearing crocs worn by how many other folks was a bit disheartening. It required a large measure of trust to believe the loaner crocs were disinfected each night! Nice to have a good restaurant attached.
- Kris A (8/5): Nice place - Continental breakfast was a bit lean for the price, but most prices are a bit higher in Dawson anyway...
- Art (6/5): Clean and Renovated - There are not a lot of hotels in Dawson City and this one looked good. The hotel has been renovated and looks good but has some downside things like the lack of blackout curtains to block the extremely long daylight hours when trying to sleep (a blanket over the windows helps) and a house rule to take off your shoes in the lobby before going to your room (you can use the hotel's Crocs if you care to) making moving into your room quite awkward especially if you have to make multiple trips to the car.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice motel with excellent location - Clean and confortable room, a kitchen for all guests, nice lobby and hallway. Restaurant in same building. Centrally located so most attractions are walkable distance. Friendly stuff.
- James (8/5): - Super clean, great hosts. Wifi and tv reception one of the best in town.
Room is simple. Blinds aren't blackout.
Toilet location in bathroom is pretty cramped.
Would stay again and recommend to others
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly Recommend! - Great staff! Very friendly and perfect for a stay away from home! Incredibly comfortable.
- Bert (10/5): Super clean and quite - great price - Fantastic restaurant - best in towm
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great inn - Great restaurant - nice bilingual staff
- Colleen (8/5): - Our room was clean and adequate for our needs. A lightbulb needed changing and it was changed very promptly. One suggestion is to have a couple of chairs for sitting on (there was one wood desk chair) to watch the television. A very minor drawback was noise through the walls from the kitchen area other than that, we would recommend the Aurora Inn to others.
- Rua (8/5): - Warm, friendly, comfortable and comforting. Perfect place to see Dawson City from. I'd go back again anytime.
- moira (10/5): A Home from Home. - I would and have already recommend this lovely Hotel. Everyone was welcoming and made us feel at home. The lounge area is comfortable and we enjoyed the constant supply of coffee, every kind of tea you could imagine and hot chocolate.
- Robert (10/5): Excellent Northern Experience - I transit between Inuvik, NWT and Whitehorse in the Yukon at least 3-4 times yearly and always stay on Dawson on way south and back north. This as my first stay at Aurora Inn and it will be my number stay in Dawson City moving forward. The cleanliness is simply incredible for a place located in the north. The owner and staff members are simply so giving and friendly.
