Guest Reviews
- Adrian (10/5): Perfect Hotel - Always nice
- Namoiah (8/5): - Great location in walking distance to Ubud Palace, Yogabarn, Monkey Forest, lots of shops/shopping and temples all around. The hosts were very kind and friendly. Room was very spacious with my own private balcony. Big bed all to myself. Provided kettle for boiling water and cups for tea/coffee. Kind, gracious hosts in a great location.
- Rio (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here! Not a lot of amenities but nice, clean rooms with good air conditioning. The view from the balcony was also very nice and the grounds are interesting. It's located on a busy street in Ubud with many dining and shopping options nearby as well as beautiful temples!
- Anatol (10/5): - Very very nice place right in the centre of it all. Though so quiet and so beautifully decorated. Cleanest and most looked after in this street so far. The owner is so welcoming, talented, wise and just beautiful!
Can only highly recommend! đâ€ïžđ
- Mary (10/5): - The property was wonderful. Accommodation was excellent, very private and the garden was beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and helped us with any requirements we had. It was situated very conveniently for restaurants, shopping anywhere you wanted to go was walkable. I would recommend this Accommodation to anyone .
- Jennfer (8/5): - Very friendly and accommodating
- Javier (10/5): - Great area to stay in. Staff was wonderful. Everything worked in the room, included AC.
Walking distance to everything. Actually just across the street.
I would stay here again.
- YERIM (10/5): - had a wonderful stay at Teja Homestay. The host and housekeeping staff were incredibly warm and polite, making me feel right at home. The daily housekeeping service was satisfying and kept my space clean and comfortable everyday. I also loved the convenient locationâgrocery stores, yoga barn, brunch restaurants, and cozy cafes were all just a short walk away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming and accessible place to stay in ubud
- Lisa (10/5): - I loved staying at Teja. The location was excellent, the property was very pretty, relaxing and quiet and the staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this accommodation.
- Yuna (10/5): - I had such a great time at Teja Home Stay thanks to the hospitality of the owner Teja and the friendly staff members. It was close enough to the center of Ubud but a bit away from the extreme craziness which was perfect for me. Personally I enjoyed talking about art culture both in Japan and Bali with Teja. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Ubud. Chilling at my balcony in the evening listening to the sound of birds, motorbike, and the kids playing was my favorite moment of stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - La homestay Ú molto bella e accogliente e i proprietari deliziosi.
- Mohammed (8/5): - The room was large, clean with a tv & a small balcony. The shower was large, clean & very good hot water. No breakfast is provided at the property. The room was upstairs and I had difficulty climbing the steep staircase. Although there were rooms downstairs the owner said that they are occupied, however, we did not see any guests.
There is renovation going on at the entrance, so approach to the property is a bit rough.
There are plenty of nice restaurants/warungs around the property. A few doors down on the left is cafe Atman which serves delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent so donât miss it.
Also you can walk to the market and on the way there are a lot of nice restaurants too.
- Taylor (10/5): - Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely place
- Dave (10/5): - First time at a homestay accommodation. Pleasantly surprised and ticked all the boxesâŠ
- Stephanie (10/5): Fantastic - I will come back and stay at Teja Homestay anytime iâm in Ubud. They stored my luggage for me, made a nice omelet and fruit breakfast every morning, and were just so kind. And the room was so clean- I was a little traumatized after staying at another homestay in Ubud that had so many bugs. Highly recommend.
- Milvienne (10/5): - A great location in a busy area. Easy to find and everything is in walkable distance. We stayed for 3 nights and everyday our room was cleaned. Breakfast is a bonus. Very friendly and attentive owners. The stay is perfectly located that you should not worry about the noise.
- Danielle (10/5): - Great service and location. Quiet, but close to everything.
- Allison (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay. I came as a solo traveler and felt very safe and comfortable. Teja Homestay is clean, spacious, and convenient. There are many wonderful shops, restaurants and spas nearby. It is walkable to yoga studios as well as Monkey Forest. The family was friendly and the complimentary breakfast each morning (eggs, toast, fruit and coffee) was delicious. The gardens are beautiful. Bed was comfortable. For some reason, they only give one small roll of toilet paper. I would definitely stay here again.
- Bhaskar (10/5): - Located in central Ubud, this was an amazingly convenient place to stay, with easy walking distance to major attractions, shopping and restaurants.
We booked two rooms for 10 days, and made it our base for traveling around Bali. Teja, the owner, who is an artist, arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport and arranged for another exceptional driver to show us around different areas and attractions in Bali, someone whom we got to know well and appreciated greatly. The entry is through an alley, but once you enter, it is peaceful, quiet, and full of fountains, flowers, statues and many colorful birds and fish, including a Myna bird (âBeaâ in Bali) that greets everyone with: âHello boss.â
The rooms were clean, with free internet, and a delicious breakfast is served every morning, consisting of fresh fruit, toast, omelet and coffee. Two bottles of water are left in each room daily, which was useful and added to the hospitality.
Teja, who owns the property, his wife and staff were friendly, hospitable, always ready to help, and we got to know them well during our stay. If we return to Bali, which we intend to, we would always stay at Tejaâs. The overall experience was truly exceptional and you canât beat the price for the quality of service and ideal location in Central Ubud.
- Lacramioara (10/5): - Tranquil atmosphere and garden in the middle of Ubud. Traditional villas, wonderful hosts.
- Ian (10/5): - This is the best homestay I have stayed at. Big bed, shower, and bathroom, clean, super friendly staff and family.
- Adrian (10/5): - I have stayed here many times. It is extremely quiet and close to everything. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Beautiful hidden Bali-esque bungalows - After walking down the 20m alley to Teja, it was exciting to be greeted by lush Flora, fountains, uniquely Bali bungalow, a coi pond, and friendly staff. They were very kind and helpful the full three days I was there. They helped me find drivers, and even took my laundry to get cleaned. The beds are comfortable as well, and the place is quiet, so it is great for sleeping well. Each bungalow has its own porch, perfect for a quiet morning coffee. I highly recommend it!
- Matjoi (10/5): Ihana paikka! - Sijainti erinomainen, huone siisti ja henkilökunta hyvin ystÀvÀllinen
- Verified traveler (10/5): Special Experience, Great Value - Comfortable, clean, and air-conditioned rooms are centrally located. With beautifully traditional gardens, this homestead has shower-only baths with sink and commode. The family is kind, pleasant and accepted a late arrival and early departure. No Wifi service available and the cable tv plays only a couple of stations--in the local language. This homestead offers a very special experience of family life in Bali at a reasonable price. The breakfast is delicious.
- Erica (10/5): Excellent, quiet homestay in the heart of Ubud - Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Teja homestay. The location is perfect, within steps of shops, restaurants & tourist attractions but once you walk into the courtyard it's quiet and private, and you don't feel like you're in a bustling city. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable with its own private balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here when you come to Ubud.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Teja - Nice stay, thank you
- Lillian Hitom (10/5): - The room is very clean with essentials. Bed is comfortable and the surrounding is very serene. For the price, I have no complaint only praises. Housekeeping is on a daily basis and that is really a bonus.
Highly recommended
- Adrian (10/5): It's more like someone's home that it is a hotel. - I stayed there once before but have never left a review. The hotel is very quiet, yes it's in the heart of Ubud. It's more like a private home then it is a hotel. You feel like the hotel without a lot of frills, but enjoy a very clean and quiet room, this is your place.
- Ronya (10/5): Highly recommended! - My stay was AMAZING!!! Teja and his family went above and beyond my expectations. I loved the place and I loved my room. It was very clean and spacious, with excellent AC and a TV with satellite channels in all languages. I stayed at Teja Homestay for a month while doing a yoga training course and it felt like home. Itâs right in the centre of Ubud so itâs easy to walk to a number of places. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
- Roman (10/5): We were 100% sarisfied - The homestay is in very good location, close to everything. All rooms are situated to the coutyard therefore it is very quiet. Homestay are run by mother and daughter, they were really professional and attentative. First day we had for breakfast omelette with coffee and juice, on another day we had traditional bali breakfast (sweet coconut rice and bowl of cut fresh fruits) - very tasty. The bathroom was huge with shower and hot water.
- Kimberly (10/5): Uitstekend - Heel netjes. En behulpzaam personeel.
- Katrine (8/5): Amazing family - Fantastisk personale. SĂžde og hjĂŠlpsomme
- JUNG HO (10/5): highly recomended - canât complain anything. room was quite big and clean, there are own table and bed outside room. breakfast included which is simple but awesome, even better than some restaurants. price is more than reasonable, im 100% sure to come back next time
- Verified traveler (10/5): Value for money - Teja homestay was a fantastic stay. We will stay here whenever we come back to Ubud.
- Marcel (10/5): Good location and very comfortable - Good to relax - I stayed in the superior room and it was very nice. The shower is exellent and the water hot. TV with movie channels, sports and etc. Nice place and attentive staff. Helped me on some tours with a fair price. I noticed only a musty smell in the room, it did not bother me, but for anyone with allergies it can be a challenge. The bathroom really is very nice. Highly recommend and would stay again. Ps - Please visit the restaurant Bollero near the hotel. It was one of the best restaurants I've ever been in my life and the dishes cost an average of $ 8. No kidding, please visit them!
- Sidney (10/5): PErfect place - one of the best place ive stayed in my life! people are veeery frindely, the location is just PERFECT and they provide me a very good guide so i could visit all the city!! i really liked this place .
- Alex (10/5): Really nice stay in great location - Brilliant stay in great location, modern room and quaint place. We woke up late for breakfast and werenât given anything on 1st day but enjoyed breakfast on our 2nd day. Nice welcome and lovely staff.
- Surachet (10/5): Excellent Stay - Delightful owner and staff. I stayed in a deluxe room upstairs - the room was nice, quiet and clean. The house is in a good location, close to shops and restaurants. I had a wonderful 3 night stay.
- joe (8/5): Hotel encantador em Ubud - Estivemos do Homestay e adoramos o hotel. Cada quarto tem uma decoração. O atendimento é excelente
- Somg hyejin (10/5): It's really special hotel - Everything was perfect. Location. Staff. Hoter services.
- Lami (10/5): Bali homestay - The staff made me feel welcome, and were always willing to help. My spacious upstairs room had a large private balcony and I was supplied with bottled water everyday. The wi fi worked well. I stayed for a week, and enjoyed deicious Balinese breakfasts. Each morning there was something different on offer. I ate my breakfast looking out at the central courtyard with its beautiful orchids and water features, and family temple. There was no traffic noise, just the sound of birds.
- teja homestay (10/5): prima - voldeed aan verwachting
- Pasi (10/5): Vahva suositus - Todella hyvÀ majoitus. ErittÀin mukava ja avulias perhe. Huoneet todella siistejÀ ja tilavia. Suihkut erinomaiset ja internet toimii. Ei ötököitÀ muutamaa moskiittoa lukuunottamatta. Vahva suositus paikalle. Ei halvin mutta jos haluaa ettÀ kaikki toimii niin ota tÀmÀ.
- Sheila (10/5): Welcoming, clean and convenient place - Teja's is a lovely family stay, with a beautiful garden. The street has lots of restaurants and small shops for all budgets. It's close to there Monkey forest and yoga barn. I stayed in the deluxe room, which was really nice and clean.
The staff is really nice and helpful, specially Ngurah, the manager. Although it's located in one of Ubud's main streets, Teja is very quiet and private.
I highly recommend this homestay. :)
- Rotem (10/5): Best place to stay in Ubud - Best value for money that we've had in Bali! The place has a beautiful garden and everything is super clean. The staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful!!
We stayed in the standard room and it was just great. Big room, huge balcony, big bed and great bathroom. Breakfast was also really good.
The location is great on a one way street, with loads of different arts shops and restaurants. The center is just a few minutes walk.
I could not speak of this place high enough. Just go there!
*side note- we wanted to stay another night but it was fully booked, so we ended up looking for another place to stay. I have to say that Teja is just a few levels above the rest.
- Solo female (10/5): Brilliant place to stay in Ubud, I loved it - This was such a great place to stay, so much so that I missed it and went back again! I really loved staying here.
The room was spotlessly clean, modern and of the standard was as good as a western hotel. TV has lots of American channels, air con is good, bed is comfy.
Upper rooms have balconies and lower rooms are like an individual chalet with a patio to sit out on.
The breakfast is cooked by the Gran and is yummy nasi goreng, banana pancakes or an omelette. You can request your favourite and she'll make it for you.
Location is perfect - on one of the main streets of Ubud so easy and safe to walk around any time day or night.
What really makes this place great is the staff and the family are super lovely and helpful, anything from offering to lend me a scooter when my taxi didn't show up to booking trips/taxis etc. Super nice and I miss them already.
- John P (10/5): Good place in a great part of Ubud - Clean, lovely rooms. We had the upstairs balcony of the lowest priced rooms, which had roll-up blinds all around to adjust for maximum view and breeze or privacy. It's a very nice feeling to sit on the balcony, though we found it to be too hot much of the time (possibly an abnormally warm March). The room AC worked fine and quietly. Bathroom was basic, but clean and functional. The bed was too soft and springy for our tastes, but since many Westerners feels Asian beds are too hard that many be a good sign for many. Reasonable breakfasts -- a choice of one of two main items, plus fruit and tea/coffee. Excellent location just far enough off Hanoman road to reduce the traffic noise. Lovely garden. A good place to stay.
- Chutima (10/5): Cozy stay ... - Very nice stay at Teja, highly recommend for staying in Ubud. Only a few minutes walk to center of Ubud and close to many restaurants.
- debbie (10/5): Quick overnight stay - Just needed a quick one night to stay in Ubud. Amazing Balinese style apartment with air conditioning Set in private grounds with interesting statues and stunning architecture, a very cheeky minor bird and a beautiful Koi fish pond a very warm welcome on arrival we wished we had longer to stay.
- Mary (10/5): Super modern and clean; best wi-fi in Ubud - Teja really captures what Bali is all about and manages to include modern amenities without losing any charm. The location is in the epicenter of Ubud in close proximity to restaurants, spas, yoga studios, etc.
I stayed in a Superior room -- the room was fully renovated and perfectly clean. It had a flatscreen TV with a ton of channels, a modern bathroom, great air conditioning, and most importantly THE BEST wi-fi in Ubud.
The staff was very accommodating, professional, and pleasant. First class. Also, the breakfast was great! I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Ubud!
- Saruda (8/5): - Good Location & Service
- hendrice (8/5): love it - spacious room, spacious bathroom, so clean, tv, wifi for free, located at the center of ubud, nice staff.
