Guest Reviews
Camera molto fredda.

- Elisabetta (4/5): Just for sleeping - It is near the international book fair The smell, bad value for money

- Methoxha (5/5): - Unfortunately, the first two rooms we stayed in had a very strong smell of smoke/cigarettes. There was no air freshener or odor absorber, and even with the window open the smell would not go away.
We spoke to the lady at the reception, who was very polite, helpful and always willing to assist us. After two room changes and contacting eBooking to see if a full or partial refund could be arranged, we were finally moved to another room which did not smell, and we were able to continue our stay more comfortably.
We believe it is important for the hotel to address the issue of smoke odor in some rooms — even adding an air freshener or improving ventilation would significantly enhance the guest experience. Apart from that, we were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the staff was excellent, friendly and truly tried to help us.

- Rebecca (5/5): Be more considerate towards solo female travellers - I liked the room.
I thought it was spacious and comfortable.
Very clean and neat as well. I didn't like the staff. She seemed like a Chinese woman. On the day I arrived, she seemed warm and welcoming. The next day, when I had to check out, she seemed rude and impersonal. Understand that I was a solo female traveller at the time. I had been looking for rooms to stay all over Moncalieri but couldn't find any because at the time, it was the holiday weekend of all souls day, all saints day etc. Hotel Bengasi was one of the few places I could find to have a place to sleep for the night. I left the room early by 11.45am but didn't return the keys yet because I had to look to book another place as I was still looking to visit places in Moncalieri. I was still in the building. I waited for anyone to be in the building , the staff, but there was no one. I needed to speak to someone if I could stay an extra night as I couldn't find a place. About 12pm, the Chinese woman came in and asked for the keys, I returned them to her and asked if she had a room for me stay another night. To which, she said, no. I then asked her at the reception if I could wait there ( I am still looking for a room on my phone ) , she said no. Where else was I supposed to go ? Outside ?! As a female ? Alone ? In a place I am not from ? I don't have a place to go to and I am all alone as a female. I left the reception and went to wait at what seemed like the mailbox area just before the main door. She didn't seem happy at all giving me a dirty look every time she went in and out of the hotel. Whilst I was on my phone, booking my room at another hotel and getting a cab, a woman who lived there walked in through the front door and she kept shouting at me saying something about me using my phone. I did nothing to her ! I was minding my own business, looking for a place to go to, on my phone. She gave me a hard stare and walked off after trying to intimidate me. I had no choice but to ignore. Please be more considerate towards solo female travellers.
