• Athi (1/5): Bad - The only advantage with this hotel is the location. The sprayer was broken. The shower top didn't work properly. They didn't give me water till I asked for it. The air conditioning was not working properly. Overall I was paying a very high price (3k per night) for a very average hotel room.

• N. (1/5): Worst possible experience. Unclean and smelly rooms - Only the location of the hotel is good. The Beach is at a walkable distance from where this hotel is situated. The room was very dingy and not clean at all. It smelt bad and i did not feel comfortable at all. I changed hotels within 3 hours of check in and I didn’t receive a refund either. Lost the entire amount for 2 days.

• Senthil (6/5): Neat place need cozy amenities - The hotel.was Neat and clean and comfortable located in a good place But absence of a restaurent took away all the fun .there was not dental kit or shaving kit available in the room service . The AC was not up to standards and the TV was a desk top monitor . For what we pay online we have other options with good amenties

The room is are clean upto 7 feet height, beyond it’s dusty , same in bathroom door. While checking out, I inform the front office , about the above issue.

• Praveen (1/5): Extremely atrocities experience - Nothing was good Totally worst experience I was forced to pay 60% as advanced though the site where the site says pay at hotel 2. The room was totally messy, no additional pillows were available 3. We asked the door mat in front of the bathroom but it was given so late 4. Plates given were extremely dirty 5. A water bottle extra wasn't available 6. The AC remote isn't working at all 7. The switches were not working, I needed to press the button for a long-time to get it to turn on 8. The commade was a baby one. It is meant for kids 9. Totally a worst experience. 10. Not worth the money

AC was Old one won't work properly somehow it managed to keep an good temperature. Check in should be let in on time otherwise the hotel is awesome for stay and very decent

• Vishugaddi (4/5): Not Safe for Women, Pathetic Rooms - It was worst ever hotel experience. Such a Bad room and bathroom, there was continuous noise or Generator sound during the night and when complaint to manager he was not responsive (Manage Name - Jiva). Labor guys were drunk in the night and it feels very unsafe for women during night. A genuine advice, AVOID this hotel.
• angebee (2/5): Terrible choice for international travellors - When booking this hotel, my partner and I who are not married saw that couples need to produce a marriage certificate on check-in. I do understand cultural differences are to be observed when travelling outside one's own country but a marriage certificate is not something that most people take with them on holiday. Perhaps this hotel is best left to the locals

• 332piyusha (6/5): Poor hospitality - The hotel is clean but the hotel receptionist are very arrogant and do not know how to talk to customer and how to treat the customer. Even, I asked that I want to talk to manager and they refused. They are not professional. I asked extra soap and extra towel for my kids and they denied as well. In room the hot water cattle are there but no cups. Every thing you have to ask, Telephone line is not working, to get any thing, I have to call a particular mobile number. I will not recommend this hotel for stay.

• 114varshas (8/5): It was a very good stay - It was a very good stay. So comfortable and clean. Staff members were helpful. Prefer to take front view room, as back side rooms were to compact without any view. About the hotel is very near to Rock Beach :)you can walk through the markets nearby
• YogeshMistry (8/5): Overall experience is good - Hotel is near by to Beach Rd. rooms are good. Room cleaning service needs to be improve. They order breakfast from A2B as there is no restaurant. One bad experience during my visit "They didn't clean room during whole day, when i reached hotel in evening after site seeing they started cleaning, even they informed me that due to full occupancy they don't have towel and i have to wait till next morning to get towels which is really surprising for me. After arguments with them finally they managed to get towels.
• BrianR409 (8/5): Clean & pleasant modern hotel - After a dreadful first night in a 'heritage' (no comfort) hotel, we looked for somewhere clean & modern. Fortunately we found the Lotus, for less money & better in every way. The reception staff's English could be better & the Wi-Fi does not work in rooms however. We were fortunate to be given a room at the rear, away from the traffic noise. Incidentally, Puducherry is a small town where drivers are, if possible, more manic & more prone to lean on the horn than anywhere else we stayed. The location of the hotel is very good, with the beach within walking distance on one side & the main road North out of town on the other. There is a beer shop at this junction, very important after exposure to the local traffic. The only other downside was a lack of ventilation, making the bathroom rather smelly but many Indian hotels are built this way to keep out noise & hot air. Breakfast is served on a tray in the room. There are also a table & chairs to eat it off, a very useful feature here.
• giriTripz (6/5): Great Location, best for couples but not so good room for Family - The Hotel is situated at Ideal Location, short walk of 1Km to Rock Beach and Promenade, It is also close to lot of nice restaurants. But rooms are tiny, Not suitable if you are travelling with child 8-12 years as room does not have place for extra bed ( the reception did not even bother to ask if we need one) and bed being of average size was difficult to have quality sleep for all 3. When they charge so much extra for child, the rooms should atleast have provision for separate cot and bed.
• muralimanoj2k (10/5): Suitable for business and family - This hotel is suitable if your priority is only for a day stay and move. Simple and neat hotel, well maintained. Only 1km to beach. Budget hotel with necessary amenities. Rooms are well sealed to avoid road noise.

Washroom was not cleaned when I checked into room, upon repeated 2-3 follow ups same was done. Foul smell in the room was not dealt with. Request to fellow travellers to avoid stay here.
• Thevi06 (10/5): Nice budget hotel and helpful staff (Mr Anbu Kavi) - The hotel is clean and well maintained. Not far from beach / shops / ashram. Can be accessible by auto easily. The hotel just situated near to main road and some shops around. The hotel staff Mr Anbu Kavi has been extraordinary helpful during our stay and polite is handling all our needs.

Staff even during the night were up and helpful I have been to a number of facilities, this kind of an accommodative staff is quite unique

The staff kind and caring.Middle high price but also several type of rooms with different prices in base of dimensions and balcony view... but for sure comfortable and pleasing stay.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is good in terms of market. Overall a great place to stay..

Rooms are small, clean and neat. Bathrooms are well maintained. Better to book accommodation through one of the travel/hotel booking websites to avail more discount.

• banjara001 (4/5): Leisure - We stayed in this hotel in the month of sept.2016 the room allowed us was like a dungeon with no windows or ventilation the room smelled awful. They served no food even tea was hard to get. No parking space we had to park our car a block away without any security. Only good thing was its proximity to the Rock beach.

• Gopi_balaji (10/5): Excellent Hotel - I have been to this Hotel this month (October 2015) for my school friends get together. Rooms are neat. Staff are very friendly. Hotel staff have assisted us to hire bikes to roam in the town.Though there is no resturarnt attached inside the hotel, most reatuarnts and bars are walkable distance to the hotel.
