Guest Reviews
- dale (2/5): - I was booked into a closed down motel in Altus Oklahoma for the high school reunion weekend. When I arrived to check in at 3 pm the motel was boarded up. There were no available rooms in the town because of the reunion. My contact at Expedia assured me there would not be a charge on my Discover card. Next day I had a no show charge for a closed hotel which has not been removed. I will not recommend Expedia to anyone or use the service again. Dale McAskill. Please reply to this email.
- Ely (1/5): Bad - This property was abandoned when we arrived. It looked terrible and I would not have stayed there if it had been open.
- Murray (2/5): Very poor - The fact it was dirty, the door needed to be fixed looks like someone kicked it in.
- Devin (8/5): Very good -
- CGVET (2/5): Forget it! You'll be sorry if you don't. One of OYO's despicable assets. - Horrible accommodations, booked through Booking.com. Manager had no decent rooms available & OYO didn't advise Booking.com. It was late when we tried checking in & the room we took because too tired to go elsewhere was despicable, room card access broken, no ice machine, the floor was caving in in the sink area, the ceiling had bulges everywhere, the bathroom was clean, so so, the beds were barely ok, no TV, the people next to us, a younger couple told the manager no way, asked for a refund & went elsewhere. We rested, not slept, & left early. Asking Booking.com for a full refund.
- Anthony (1/5): Worst hotel in the world. - Nothing about this accommodation did I like! It was late after a long drive to Altus, OK. The hotel didn't have a room available. Manager put us in a substandard room, the floor was collapsing in the sink area, the ceiling was bulging in places, no ice, no amenities, the room key card didn't work, the people in the room next to us, left disgusted & moved on. We we're tired & the beds were ok, just ok. This is the 2nd time I've gotten lousy or not available accommodations in Altus, OK through Booking.com. I request a refund for the current stay referenced above.
- Amy (2/5): - Not open
- Michael (2/5): - My door wouldn't lock and sheets and towels were filthy. Didn't stay at hotel. Would like refund. Conditions were completely unacceptable
- Cecilia (8/5): Our stay was very pleasant and staff was super accommodating and helpful! We stay here every year at this time for work - Conveniently located, smoking rooms available a huge plus along with some comfortable seating!! Depending on who made up the room, some days there was not a top sheet between you and the blanket…bathroom could be swept better
- Anthony (2/5): - Re-served a room Then I get there and had no room
- Trenton (2/5): - Helped put a tv in a room. Tile in the bathroom was damages and covered in duc-tape. Floor felt like it was collapsing. Found bed bugs in the room. Booked a 4 night stay and was there less than 4 hours. And still unable to acquire a refund on my money.
- Tim (2/5): This hotel should not be on the available hotel list! I was the only tenant. The roof was missing half its shingles and - This hotel is under construction!!! Half the shingles are missing no attendant, you have to call a number, I couldn’t cancel my stay and not be charged! crickets everywhere in my room, mostly dead but several got in overnight as well.
- Anna (1/5): Totally disappointed I paid to stay in this - Bug infestation, dirty linen, shower curtain dirty/stained, screws out of security lock on door, refrigerator dirty/mold on rubber, toren carpet.
- Anonymous (4/5): If my wife had been with me, we wouldn’t have stayed. - It was in Altus I know that it may be in transition, but some rooms were out of order. My room was poorly maintained, and had a strong odor of smoke, and pet. I used up a whole bottle of Febreeze, which helped a little. The door frame was partially broken, and the bathroom door was screws holding it together.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't Stay There! - First the name of the hotel eas pnly found on the front door and on tbe room. GPS took us there, but we didn't know we were at motel until I went to the door. Appears to be an old motel bought and under renovation. Very displeased. No info about the hotel anywhere. Had to csll to get tge wifi code. Ugh! Very disapointed. Toilet leaked!!!! Etc. We were very unhappy.
- Gabrielle (2/5): Just dont stay here, for your own safety. - I didn't stay because they offered me a room with a broken door that I opened by sliding a credit card between the door and the door frame.
- MANDY (2/5): - No refunds do not stay here. This place does not have proper staff, it has black mold, cockroaches and doors do not properly secure you have to call someone to come let you in your room.I booked a room with 2 beds when we arrived they didnt have any a man tried to fight my husband.. this place needs to be investigated and closed down..
- David (6/5): - When i get there nobody was at the office and they said was sold out at first they refuse check my booked
- Enrique (1/5): Bad - nothing dirty and ugly
- Chioccola (1/5): Bad - I did not even stay here because it was nasty and oyo was written in sharpie on the door!!! The sign said knights inn it was creepy and disgusting and I want my money back!!! The place is gross did not even stay there
- Elma (2/5): - I was never able to stay due to I went to store came back and was not able to get into room or find the service desk personnel.
- Rama (2/5): WORST PLACE TO STAY IN ALTUS - Worst place I have ever stayed. The sheets had legit dried blood on them, not like from bed bugs but like someone had been stabbed.
They had no towels to take shower when I asked for towels they told me “someone stole them” when I asked for sheets they said they had none
When we first got there they had to give us 3 sets of keys then ended up just having to let us in the room because no key would work so we couldn’t lock the door to leave. We had planned on staying 2 nights and left after 6 hours. It was awful.
- Janice (2/5): - The stay did not happen at all, the open sign was in the office window but the door was locked and re staff refused to answer the doorbell and would not answer the phone. This was very frustrating especially since I was in the area for a funeral and then I went to my prepaid hotel to find nobody there and I had to actually pay for another hotel room since they would not answer the door nor their phone. The outside of the hotel was also very dirty, with people hanging out in the trash all over the place. Very poor quality and absolutely no customer service.
- Charity (2/5): - They didnt have any rooms it was dirty awful looking place. But noone in office when we got there. Then no room cops were being called to get people out.
- William (4/5): You get what you pay for - Checked in around 730, room was not ready, took 1 1/2 hours for it to be done. Very loud most the night. Lesson learned
- Larry (4/5): - For the price it was a place to sleep n shower
- Jennifer (8/5): Lowest cost in town! - It was great for the price. The bed was a bit hard. There were no plastic cups by the sink. Many of the lamps didnt work. But the price was unbeatable. I can't complain too much. 🙂
- John (10/5): - Good hospitality
- Xarineth (10/5): Great value & Caring Management - I had an extended stay here for an assignment on the nearby AFB. I was genuinely satisfied with the quality for the price I paid. The room had everything I expected: a clean bed, hot shower, microwave & fridge, a desk, and even a recliner in single king rooms. Wi-fi was also available at no additional charge.
This inn does show its age, but there is new management as of October 2021. The new manager is working hard to get the place cleaned up & repaired and that effort shows.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Equal Opportunity Hotel Management for Addicts? - We were immediately suspect of the place when we pulled up as there were a couple of questionable characters hanging out in the parking lot. Turned out one was the manager. The front office was stacked with personal items. The guy wasn't sure if the room was clean or not (at 8:50pm) and we were switched after being given a key card. The room itself wasn't terrible, but it was apparent it has not been thoroughly cleaned in some time (dusty carpet, multiple beetles). There was a mini fridge, badly in need of defrosting, and no trash can in sight. The bedding all appeared clean...checked the corners of the mattress before lying down, if you catch my drift.
- Porfirio (2/5): Worst stay ever - Furniture was old and damaged, walls were missing paint, there were 2 stink Beatles in the shower towels were dirty, worst stay ever.
- Fraser Bobby (2/5): - Check-in desk was already closed when I made my same night reservation. I had to stay at a different hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was very friendly
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I arrived at the hotel and the office door was locked. I rang the doorbell for 10 minutes and no one answered. There was a sign on the door that said, "No vacany. Remodeling in progress." I called the hotel phone number. No one answered and I was connected to OYO customer service. The representative said there was a manager at the hotel and called the manager, but received no answer. The representative said I was standing at the wrong gate and that there was a different front gate. He said he would send me the correct location for the front office, but didn't. I searched the premise for another office and saw none.
- Randy (2/5): Don’t stay here!!!!! - Drove 5 hours couldn’t check in because nobody was at desk and wouldn’t answer phone! I do not recommend the hotel terrible service if you ask me! Still trying to get a refund because I had to find another room somewhere else!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The whole hotel needs updating. For the price, it was fine. It happened that there had been a big snow storm, and most of the rooms were not available due to frozen pipes. The manager was very helpful, and did the best he could under the trying circumstances. Would stay there again once it's updated.
- Jake (6/5): A good value, but I'm worried about cleanliness - This is a great example of you get what you pay for. At $38 a night, the price of this hotel is unbeatable. Overall, I was comfortable with my stay, but I was worried about cleanliness, especially while Covid is still afoot. My bed was made, I had fresh trash cans, and I had new toiletries; however, there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, and had nothing to assure me that the surfaces had been wiped off. My number one priority in any hotel I stay at is cleanliness. If they had greater assurance that the room was thoroughly cleaned, I would have been much more comfortable in my stay. The bed was cozy and the room was a nice size and layout. I had everything I needed. I hope the owners take note of this and do a better job to assure me that my room is clean.
- VALERIE (10/5): - Stay here every week always very clean and the man running the hotel is awesome
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Okay for the price older hotel not for uppity people for downhome people
- Guadalupe (10/5): Great given the price - Even though my husband and I stayed in a smoking room it didnt have the usual lingering stale smoke smell. The room was exceptionally clean and the man at the front desk was always very pleasant, even though he wore a mask i could see that he was still trying to smile at me. The bed was also pretty comfortable! It's something I've come to not expect from hotels/motels but this one gave me the nights rest I needed. I would come back any day!
- Macy (6/5): - The gentleman working the front desk was very sweet and polite. The room was clean and it was a place to sleep so we didn't have to sleep on the floor at the in-laws' place. Honestly, it provided everything we needed - a clean bed, a hot shower, well-lit parking, and it was a place that allowed our dogs.
It's not the Ritz, but I will likely check availability again when we visit the in-laws again. For the price and our needs, it suited us just fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ice storm emergency - Room was perfect for what I needed. Price was great for such short notice if needing a room
- Charlie (10/5): - Great for the price. I needed a bed and shower for 2 nights, and that is exactly what it was. Very practical.
- VernonShelton (2/5): - I got a text saying they couldn’t accommodate me. So I went to another hotel. I go there the next day and ask why they couldn’t accommodate me. He say they only had two king size beds in two rooms. And one of the room went down. So he didn’t have the room I wanted. After I left an hour later my wife calls me and says they charged you $150 fee for no show. I went back and explain you sent me a text saying you couldn’t accommodate me. You couldn’t get ahold of anyone on there service line after trying 20x. He called the sale rep. I’m still waiting for them to get back to me. Just a horrible unprofessional experience. That property is a dump.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap and clean - This Oyo property was a rebranded knights inn so it took me a second to find it. After that, check in was easy with a pleasant night man. The room was clean but run down which is fine by me as the price was extremely good. I would stay again.
- Hayly (10/5): Thanks - Best ever
- Mark (6/5): its ok - The place was alright, it’s not the same name as it says at hotels.com app but it’s still in the right location. The motel is slightly ran Dan but we checked in fast and checked out fast too. It’s a ok place for a one night stay. Haha loved the head boards attached to the wall!
- Samantha (2/5): Worst stay ever - My stay here was absolutely horrible i booked snd pay for it on line.it was over 50 dollars and i t ry ied to check in a little early like 30 min anf as sign on a Doir saying nobody was here family emergency come back.and that bv was3p.m. and didng get to check in intil 12:30 a.m. and they refused to give my money back or switch propertys and it was not clean at all hair in the bath tub and it was just nasty the bed sheets werent clean and the carpet was sticky.
- Jeffrey (4/5): I was sleeping with someone I didn't recognize - Bugs in my bed
- John (8/5): - Staff is friendly and it is definitely worth your money.
- donna (8/5): Clean simple - Charles made us feel right at home
- JimisCat (6/5): Front Office Clerk was Great - This is a run down property, but the man who works in the Office is very kind, and hospitable! The rooms are OK, not great but I've been in lots worse. It was fairly clean, just old and run down. The restaurant next door smells really great in the morning! It's worth the price, at least everything worked in the room, and the wifi was pretty good.
- nathanm238 (6/5): Happy traveler - I had a quite clean room. Yes it needs some work to bring it to a real decent motel. Wyndham who owns the property should do something to this property. I can only say average and that is because the clerk in the office was nice and friendly to me. The room was clean with furniture that needs to be replaced. The the chair in my room has seen better days. I will stay here the next time I come to Altus to spend time with my friend.
- 800marthab (2/5): Horrid Inn - I flew in to visit my son that is stationed in Altus Air force base. When booking this hotel online it did not look bad. On arrival I could not believe my eyes. First the sign says Altus Inn not Knights Inn. When checking in I was supposed to get 2 Queen beds, the gentleman said they did not have Queen beds. The ceiling had several water spots and the stairs were rusted and looked hazardous. It was late and had already paid online, if not I would have left. Online it said they had a free breakfast, when looking for it the next morning there was nothing. I asked the attendant about the breakfast and he said they had not started this as of yet. I would run from this place. Next time I will stay on base. This place gives Knights Inn a horrible name.
- M (2/5): Horrid Hotel - This Motel is falling apart. I really thought it was under renovation. It's not even called Knights Inn. I Was to get queen beds according to Expedia and ended up with double beds. There supposedly was a breakfast; there was not. The towels were dingy. I would Never stay here again.
- happytraveler1058 (2/5): Avoid this hotel! - This is the worst place I have ever been in!
Dirty at the least. Arrived late at night, no other hotels had a vacancy so we had to stay.
Walls has "something" wiped on them by the bed, by the dresser and in the bathroom.
The bathroom ceiling had plaster falling off, no fixture cover and MOLD in the ceiling!
Bedspreads had stains.
Call to front desk 11pm, no answer. 8am no answer. Went to front desk, door locked. Had to literally bang on the door to get someone to open it.
Stay away, sleep in your car, avoid this place. Hard to believe the health dept. allows them to be open.
- Verified traveler (6/5): So so - Definitely a no frills place. It was quiet which is important to me. Reserved a no smoking room but guess what I got.
- Kristen (10/5): Nice plain but very clean hotel at great price - The room was plain but very clean! We only need it for 7 hours to get some sleep as we were driving through. Definitely worth the price
