- debes2022 (4/5): Misleading info on shuttle service - This hotel states that they offer shuttle services to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball games. That is not exactly true. This is the reason we booked with them, only to find out that you have to walk a block and a half to a local bar, purchase a minimum two drinks to be able to get on the bar shuttle, and then you can get to the Brewers game.
So if you’re looking for a shuttle to the game, without having to drink, this isn’t the place for you.
- Kim (10/5): - Room was very well laid out and very clean. Nicely decorated too.
- Michael (5/5): - Rooms were big comfortable a little weird setup but it was clean and quite The check in took forever The front desk was empty and took 20 minutes to speak with someone to check in
- Marina (10/5): Enjoyable - Room clean, delicious breakfast
- Jackie (2/5): not happy with this stay. - only the location to state fair park for the pet expo the door to the bathroom came off the roller, I had to lift it back onto the roller. wanted to take a shower, but couldn't get the water to regulate, was only hot or cold and the handle would roll all the way around and couldn't get it at first to turn on then had a hard time to turn it off. Then the vent under the window started blowing out cold air. couldn't get it to turn off---called the front desk, told me where the control on the wall was and got it turned off, but wanted to have someone call about the problem with the shower, not tell me how it worked. I have been in many stays for shows that we do, not happy with the stay here. Breakfast was also only warm.

- Erica (9/5): - Property was very clean , staff was very friendly and welcoming.

- Joe (9/5): All things considered, we were happy and safe. - The staff at The Hampton Inn West Milwaukee was put in an unenviable position due to record flooding in the area. They did their absolute best to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. Special recognition for the front desk worker who was there the night of August 9th. She was dealing with unhappy and unreasonable guests, but handled herself with poise and professionalism throughout. The bathroom doors don’t lock, which is odd. Could use more storage in the room. We all had wet clothes from being out in the rain but had nowhere to put them.
- Deanna (9/5): Good 2 day stay in a location that worked well for us - Very convenient location and good parking It would be nice to have an extra chair in the room to relax
- Robert (2/5): Bait-and-switch by Hilton: no online warning of construction or earlier flood damage, or paid wi-fi - Front Desk Tam Member Jessica Brown. Without her presence and assistance, I probably would have re-located due to unreported on-site, ongoing reconstruction of hotel due to flood damage. Heat controls (thermostat) never did function properly and there were not clear instructions. Location of immovable TV on huge side table facing the bathroom (!) was completely unviewable from either bed or couch. Weird. Worst of all, no complimentary wi-fi, unless you sign up for Hilton Honors. Such aggressive sales. Left a long-term bad taste for Hilton. Will avoid in the future and will definitely warn others.

- Lori Whitmam (10/5): Loved it, Convenient Location, Free Parking, Acceptable Price and a great breakfast. - The room was comfortable, in a convenient location and had an excellent breakfast. I was in Milwaukee and usually drive home for the night, as I live just a couple of hours away. there was a snow storm and I decided I'd spend the night. I didn't want to stay downtown and have to pay for parking so I ventured to Hampton Inn and Suites not expecting anything exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The continental breakfast was also very tasty, not like the breakfast I'm used to being included in the price. I told my kids who live in Wauwatosa that if they ever have guests coming to stay, they can't go wrong staying here. I had trouble turning the AC down. It was probably my own error as everything is hooked up to the remote control for the room which is awesome. I just myself couldn't figure it out. I know I could have called the desk but I was too embarrassed that I couldn't figure the remote out on my own.
- Tasha (8/5): - The restaurant is a little gem. The staff is very friendly. Slept great! I didn’t like that the shades don’t close all the way. The sun coming up wakes me up
- 277CarlM (4/5): Very unhappy traveler. - Lots of space, but the layout was unusual. There was no comfortable viewing point for the TV. The room was spotless, and we loved that. It was very confusing getting to the hotel from the interstate highway. We were notified that our room was ready several hours before we arrived, and our digital key was activated. Upon arrival, we opened our door to find our room had not been cleaned. We were moved to another room where we found our TV did not work, and someone else's name was on the TV screen. We attempted to call the front desk, but our telephone did not work either. The TV was eventually repaired with no apology for the inconvenience. After a long day on the road, I don't want to deal with all of these problems. I do not recommend this hotel. It does not meet Hilton standards in my opinion.
- Duane (6/5): Other than the issue with the pool it was fine - B-fest wasbetter average. Lots of choices Didn’t care for sliding door for the bathroom. Hard to open & close.
The card key for the pool was not working on our last day. That was a bummer for my grandkids. When they got the door open we were already heading out.
- Cyndi (10/5): - Muy agusto Limpio
- Houa (8/5): -
- John (7/5): - I like that it was a clean place and a staff was more than satisfying and polite.
- Stoeger (8/5): -
- Andreas (10/5): Perfect - Breakfast is exceptional
- Michelle (7/5): OK, not great - Good Location Friendly staff. Nice breakfast Active remodeling in common area. The room had wear and tear. Paint loose on shower ceiling.
- Carol (10/5): Great stay in Milwaukee. Very nice location. - Staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel was going through some renovation but still very clean. The room we were in was very up to date and nice.
- Thomas (8/5): - Large room, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was better than most places we stayed. I would have liked a microwave in the room. If there was one, I would have given it a 10
- Emily R (10/5): - Clean, neat, kind staff, great breakfast, great location
- John (10/5): -
- James (8/5): It was OK. We had a bad experience at another Hampton on our way home and will reevaluate staying at Hampton again. - It was clean, the parking was safe, the breakfast was decently presented and tasty. Our room was facing a restaurant that had loud music and we requested a change of rooms. Gina at the desk was most friendly and accommodating. A good employee. The female who checked us in, however, was not friendly. She was curt and unsmiling. The toilet seat was very loose and we managed to fix it ourselves.
- M1780TJelizabethc (10/5): Perfect weekend - Great stay!! Breakfast was so good in the morning, complementary water bottles, great snack selection. Spacious rooms
- Pamela (10/5): - Everybody was kind and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed staying there real recommended to anybody.
- Kathy (10/5): - The coffee was the worst I've ever drank!! Really bitter tasting. My husband got the medium roast.
- Katherine M (10/5): - Good experience
- Whitney (9/5): Perfect for medical appointments at St. Luke’s - The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable There were some renovations going on from the flooding so the water was turned off for an extended period of time. The bathroom door also did not close properly, but that was just a minor issue
- ELLEN (10/5): - Nice & quiet, restful stay. Skip the coffee.
- Alicia (6/5): - I’ve stayed at this property twice. The first time I had to wait between 20 and 30 minutes to check in because the person upfront seem to have gone on a break that they weren’t allowed to as the front desk was left unattended. It was around 10 PM at night. But the room was nice so I thought it was a one time fluke and booked there again this September. My check in process was better this time. However, my room had bedbugs (I have multiple videos of live ones and the exoskeletons in the mattress) and it took me a bit to figure that out, so I had already been in the room for a while and had started unpacking by the time I figured it out. I went downstairs told the attendance she apologized and moved me to different room. However, I was unhappy that not only the situation happened but no compensation or partial refund was offered. My belongings were exposed, and I had to take precautions as besides not wanting to bring them back to my home, I was traveling the entire week and didn’t wanna bring anything anywhere else. Also I would think a partial refund would be justified simply from the issue of not being able to stay in the room I paid for, the rather unpleasant an experience, and having to move rooms that late at night. I will say the attendant was very helpful and the rooms were spacious and modern.
- Shalimar (4/5): - In the room, the shampoo and air conditioner bottles were empty, there was no toilet paper, and no microwave in the room. The entire hotel had chipped paint, but the employees were friendly, except for the night manager, who was a bit rude.
- Patrick (10/5): - It turned out great for our stay
- Brian (6/5): - We were in town for brewer game. The air-conditioning/heating unit at window was very noisy. Sleep was difficult.
- Siri (6/5): Nice hotel - under recovery from flood damage - The hotel is in a great location if you’re going to the Milwaukee mile, state fair or summerfest. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are very firm. Towels aren’t very luxurious (small and thin).
Biggest issue currently (9/2025) is that it is recovering from flash flooding this summer. There is some construction which isn’t intrusive. The problem for me was the smell in the first floor - mold and mildew. I tried to use the treadmill in the workout area and could only stay in the room about a minute. The smell was overwhelming. It couldn’t have been healthy to breathe that in. Check on their progress before staying there. We were on the third floor and our rooms had no mildew/mold smell.
- Lori (8/5): - Breakfast was good, seating was somewhat limited at busy times. Location to State Fair Park is great! No dislikes.
- Miller (7/5): -
- Carrie (8/5): -
- Tim (1/5): Bad choice - Nothing. Got hosed out of my reservation. The fact I was still charged for a room I never saw.
- Nicholas (10/5): - EV charging, shuttle to Brewers games, breakfast
- Todd (1/5): Can’t control Mother Nature but should get reimbursed some for the stay - Location to state fair High priced and because flood didn’t breakfast
- William (5/5): -
- Antoinette (2/5): Worst Experience - There was a party going on, and the loud music and stomping from the party upstairs lasted all night. I couldn't get any sleep until 4 AM. This was the worst experience I ever had at a hotel, and I rented two rooms. My son and I hated the hotel experience at Hampton. The female who checked us in had a nasty attitude and was dismissive of any questions we asked her. My sheets were dirty in my room.
- Ronda (10/5): - Free Breakfast was amazing! Even with flood repairs going on still very pleasant. Nothing
- Frederik (8/5): -
- Imogen (9/5): -
- John Girouard (8/5): -
- Ellerim Kareli (10/5): - The lady that cleaned my room was the sweetest
- Lori (10/5): - Quite, convince
- Jeffrey (2/5): Unresponsive and no follow through - We had to cancel the day of our stay. I worked with hotels.com support and the front desk at the property who agreed to refund me as an exception. Hotels.com needed the information from the front desk person that authorized the refund. When I attempted to call the property back to obtain this information they would no longer pick up the phone. I attempted to contact them via email as well and it's been over a week with no response.
- DavidB160057 (10/5): Very nice hotel - This is the first time that I stayed hear. It's really great hotel to stay at. The check in at check out went great I like the room it's very clean and nice. The breakfast and the restaurant was great. I planning on staying there again. The grounds and the inside are very clean.
- Felicia (10/5): -
- Jamie (10/5): - The property had suffered a major flood two weeks prior, but they did everything they could to make sure we had a great stay. Room was large and clean. Very close to the State Fair grounds. Would reccommend!
- Carrie (10/5): - They just came off a devastating flood yet was so friendly and determined to please
- Kathy (2/5): - Our room door would not open so we were trapped inside Twice! We had to call for assistance and wait for someone to break down the door!
- George (10/5): - Close to the State Fair and affordable
- Sheri (9/5): Great value and location. Will definitely stay again - Great location. Very close to local attractions. Local restaurants and bars close by, as well as chain restaurants. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable beds and linens.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Great spot to stay. Great staff.
- JAMES (10/5): - Easy
- Sharon (8/5): Suited our needs. Would stay again - Location The facility was flooded last week so it was sort of tore up. Not their fault
- Nancy (10/5): - A great place to stay. Clean. Great Location!
- Ciara (10/5): -
- Kurt (7/5): -
- Lori (6/5): - We stayed 3 nights and didn’t get any room cleaning. Our feet were black from the floors. The signs said cleaning service every other day but we only got towels and one garbage can emptied. I had to go to the front desk for coffee, shower gel and garbage bags. They still didn’t come in our room to empty the garbage after I told the front desk. They never made the bed or took all of our dirty towels.
We did like the location, breakfast and swimming pool.
- Georgia (8/5): - Front desk gal was awesome! Worked her buns off. Sadly there were two managers on site and there was flooding the night before and she was SUPER BUSY with no assistance from them.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I'd stay again - I booked this as a last minute trip to attend the Wisconsin State Fair. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I've ever slept in. The breakfast was excellent with lots of different options. Two things that I would change: fix the loose toilet seat and have the guests above me stop stomping like elephants at midnight.
- Kelly (10/5): - It was close to state fairgrounds. We came for Darius Rucker concert. Could use more towels
- Ann (10/5): - Very clean. Good breakfast
- Michael (10/5): - We arrived early on state fair week, hoping to just leave our vehicle, and we were promptly checked in. Staff was friendly, and our rooms were exceptional. Upon returning after our show at 11:20, grabbing snacks in the lobby, the staff was again super prompt and friendly. Will 100% be returning.
- Irma (10/5): - Our room was very clean and I knew it had been cleaned for the kids allergies. Thanks
- Jill (10/5): - The property was very nice. Clean with very courteous staff.
- Raun (10/5): - The woman who checked us in on Saturday was very helpful and professional.
- Cory (10/5): - We had stayed downtown on a Thursday and Friday. The rates for that hotel bumped up to $600, so we went elsewhere for Saturday
The Hampton was great for us—clean, reasonably priced and in a good area.
Discovering there was a complimentary shuttle to the Brewers game was a nice bonus.
- Kenosha (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (10/5): - Very clean, quiet and close to hospital
- Michael James (10/5): - Friendly staff and a great breakfast each morning.
- Marcie (10/5): A nice evening after a fun day at the ballpark - The facilities were great and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the pool and had a great breakfast. Also, the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Nothing comes to mind.
- Jill (10/5): - Great property and fun location - lots of us Brewers fans. Only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was too soft of a bed and pillows. Otherwise 👍 stay.
- Carla (5/5): Never again will stay for the amount that was charged.Ihave sdas charged. Smuch better places - For the price we paid for the room the selection for breakfast was terrible. Not much of anything. Room service had to ask for towels washcloths and coffee.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): - Nice for a quick nite
- Keisa (10/5): Needs a heated pool - The hotel was really clean. Room was nice and spacious.smelled good staff was very friendly and helpful.the breakfast was hot and great loved the oatmeal section and the toppings for the waffles I ddnt like the fact there was no hot tub the pool was really cold I recommend a heated pool because even when ur in the water it's still really cold
- Duane (8/5): - We needed a safe quiet extended stay visit as I had colon cancer surgery at St Luke's and we live about 3 hours away. It was very comforting to know my loved ones had a place to get away from the hospital and relax. All worked out great... I'm cancer free now and the next stay with you better be a Brewer game or something fun!
- Hong (8/5): Fencing tournament stay - Night time front desk staff are nice and warm welcome. Breakfast is good
- Zemke (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stayed 2 nights - I think I would stay here again. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good. You can make your own waffles in the waffle maker and add toppings. It’s a pet friendly hotel and we brought our small dog. I just wish they had told us when we checked in that there is an area to take your furry friend to do their business. We were only there 2 nights and we figured it out by the 2nd day. Also, there was a water leak by the shower door. During a shower water would seep out to the floor. We let the front desk know when we checked out. Hopefully it gets fixed so the next guest doesn’t have to be inconvenienced with it. One other thing is that the towels don’t really dry from one day to the next. So there should be at least two bath towels per person. I didn’t know til I went to use it that it was quite damp even though I had hung it up. We would’ve asked for more towels had we stayed longer. All in all it was an enjoyable stay. Any inconveniences were things that could easily be remedied. So yes I would stay again.
- DouMau (10/5): Awesome stay on MLB stadium summer tour with Son - Excellent hotel in what looks like a shady area. Wisconsin state fairgrounds is across the street and the American Family stadium is close. There’s a McDonald’s, Walgreens and Big Deal Burgers and Custard, basically outside the parking area. They have a indoor pool with a outdoor patio and a nice 24 hour gym. We had a 6:25 am flight and we were about a 20 minute drive from the airport. We walked to the Custard restaurant and there were a couple of guys wandering around, collecting bottles or something, but didn’t bother us. There’s also a shrine in the Walgreens parking lot. Somebody was being memorialized, but not sure why. I believe the hotel might have a restaurant. We would definitely return. Thank you to Jessica and George.
- Deb (8/5): - Overall nice property. Breakfast had decent selections and plenty of space to sit. I was impressed by their daily cleaning of the lobby. Handicap accessible room was spacious and directly off the elevators and worked well for us. One thing they missed is cleaning under the beds..ugh. I dropped something and lifted the bed ruffle to find an empty plastic bottle on one side and food wrapper under the other one. They looked very dusty and dirty. Otherwise decent hotel.
- Dan (10/5): - Very quiet and clean
- Thiha (10/5): It feels like a five-stars hotel - This is my second year visiting the same hotel—I didn’t even consider other hotels as options because I enjoyed everything about this place during my first stay.
