Guest Reviews
- Barry (9/5): - Converted girls school with character in centre of village with garage car parking for extra charge
- ALAN (8/5): Excellent location top notch breakfast. - Location ambience Nothing
- Marie (8/5): Joli hôtel bien placé, très confortable ac top petit dej - Petit déjeuner bio et local, literie , emplacement, décoration Nous étions 5 ( 2 adultes et 3 enfants), une seule chambre commune aurait été super (;
- Cosette (8/5): Sleep only a stone's throw from the Chateau Azay-le-Rideau! - It was quaint to have all the rooms in this former boy's school with plaques of famous authors such as Victor Hugo and Baudelaire as well as school artifacts from that time period. The hotel was also just about 200 yards from Azay le Rideau! One of the female employees was less than courteous when we were genuinely having trouble with the front door of the establishment - fearing we would be locked out when we went out to eat.
- Constance (9/5): Très bon séjour, dans cet hôtel à taille humaine et à l’accueil chaleureux ! - L’accueil, la chambre et l’emplacement ! Rien
- SAOR.WS (8/5): Extra - Tout
- OLIVIER (10/5): - La sympathie du personnel
- Ingo (9/5): Nach 5 Tagen Aufenthalt sagen wir: Top Aufenthalt! Top Hotel! Top Urlaub! Top Azay-le-Rideau!
- Marion (8/5): Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff - Beautifully styled hotel with exceptionally helpful and knowledgable staff

- Dorothee Bernau (10/5): -
- Laura (9/5): - Hotel delizioso, posizione comodissima, personale molto gentile e attento

- Richard (10/5): Very nice hotel right in the middle of the action. Walkable to all restaurants and shops. - Breakfast was good and the room in which it was served was also good. Lobby was nice. Room was large enough. Shower was a little small but ok. View from room and location in town was perfect. Toilet didn’t flush well and shower was small but overall bathroom was fine.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Noemie (10/5): -

- David (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - Great staff. Wonderful location and great shops/restaurants in walking distance
- Johan (9/5): Prima hotel met mooie kamers, prima ontbijt, mooi gelegen in historische plaats en vlakbij kasteel. - Goed hotel erg mooi gelegen in Azay le Rideau, vlakbij het kasteel. Vriendelijk ontvangst en goed ontbijt.
- David (10/5): Perfect stop after a long drive. - Beautiful hotel in the old part of Azay. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Superb breakfast. Despite being in a pedestrian area, the arrival process was easy. Better to get a parking bay. Nothing
- Phil (8/5): Great location, thriving village with lots of bars and restaurants. - Great location, thriving village with lots of bars and restaurants. Room was good but a little basic.

Location
Cleanliness
Décor Just a small detail- would be nice to have tea/ coffee making facilities in the room.
- Liezll (9/5): Travel France - We had a lovely stay at Hotel de Biencourt. In the heart of the village. A great room with its own private patio. Tea and coffee facilities would be great in the room or restaurant, since you can only enjoy a cup of tea or coffee if you are having breakfast at the Hotel.
- paule (10/5): -
- Isabelle (9/5): -
- cambien (9/5): - La flexibilité. Rien
- Kristina Rose (10/5): Honeymooners with the Chateau's - Location and staff (Thomas & Lea) were amazing Nothing. It was great and will return again.
- Graham George (9/5): First class and very enjoyable stay - All excellent.

The breakfast was great.
- Serge (10/5): Petite parenthèse merveilleuse. Tout est parfait! -
- Daniel (10/5): - Patron très professionnel. Ambiance chaleureuse et sympathique Rien

- Emily (7/5): -
- Adriaan (8/5): -
- Bram (10/5): - De gastheer en gastvrouw. Sympathieke lui. Niks.
- DI K (10/5): Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of chateaux region - definitely recommend. - Great location just by the castle - everyone was really helpful. Nothing really!
- Taniere (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): -
- Kiyotaka (8/5): -
- Udo (8/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Une bien belle étape - Très bel hôtel à proximité immédiate du château, tout confort, calme, agréable. Accueil parfait et attentionné. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel.
- Andrew (9/5): Totally fabulous, elegant hotel with terrific breakfast - Terrific location in centre of town, beautiful house with lovely sitting room and gorgeous courtyard garden for drinks & nibbles or just relaxing, friendly host Thomas - and outstanding breakfast. Spacious room with large bed and bathroom (we were allocated the accessible room so possibly bigger than a standard double). Despite being on the ground floor with windows onto the street there was no noise from outside to disturb us - it's a civilised little town. Superb all round.
- Dirk (10/5): Top Gastgeber mit perfekter Lage unsystematisch - Lage direkt am Schloss, sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter, Fahrradgarage, Frühstück, Flair, Sauberkeit, leise.
- Kirsty (10/5): Would stay again - lovely staff - It was right in the middle of town, close to restaurants and the chateau. It had secure parking for our car. And the staff were SO helpful and pleasant to deal with.
- ANN (10/5): Perfect small hotel - Everything especially the awareness of sustainability
- Eve (10/5): Wonderful ambience, perfect setting. - Charming, delightful boutique hotel. Perfect setting, beautiful courtyard, friendly staff, great bed, updated room and bath, wonderful breakfast.
- Excellent location, comfortable stylish rooms and exceptionally helpful staff. Covered parking a bonus. Nothing.
- Julia (10/5): -
- Annefleur (9/5): -
- Mary-Jane (10/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely, clean room.Very good value for money. - Perfect location right by the main entrance to the chateau. Lots of restaurants very close by. We ate at Auberge Radieuse which is essentially pizzas but all original toppings and unusual. Recommend.
The hotel is a gem - we were in the old Girls Schoolhouse at the rear of the property with a courtyard in front. The room was very clean with a generous bathroom with walk in shower. We were able to book the private garage which is a 3 minute walk around the corner. You need to collect the door opening card from the hotel first. We were able to pull in alongside the post office rather than drop the bollard which blocks entry to the road. The young man on reception is absolutely charming, very helpful and speaks perfect English. It would be great to have a kettle with tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Also a bottle of water.
- Alison (9/5): - Great little hotel in a really good location. The manager is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
- Francois (10/5): -
