• Steve (5/5): - I have family in the this town so the Location has always been nice I booked a room with 2 beds and a sofa sleeper there was no sofa sleeper so they had to bring in a roll away which made the room crowded the television did not work correctly and no would come and look at it when I asked for them to take money off my bill when we checked out they said that was not possible since I booked with Booking.com. if that is the case I will not use Booking.com any longer

• Jonathan (6/5): - Here’s what you should know before booking. An overall positive stay, with a few good and not so good things to mention: 1. Friendly staff. It seems like everyone in small town Iowa is friendly. But these folks seemed to mean it. 2. Queen size beds Apparently AmericInn measures length instead of width. These are full size mattresses with an extra foot for all the college basketball teams that come through Osage Iowa. But sleep two adults side by side? Oh hell no. When I asked about it, they assured me those were queen size. After pressing it politely, they finally admitted others had complained about the same issue. Go for the king size room if sleeping double. You might get an actual queen. 3. Single use key cards. Swipe once to unlock your door — zap! — they’re dead. Plan on making frequent trips to the front desk with their circa 1989 key card programmer. 4. The anti-cardio exercise room Neither the treadmill or bike worked. But lots of dumbbells if you’re into that. 5. Breakfast A typical, but solid hotel breakfast. I was hoping for bacon one morning. No luck. But they did have biscuits and gravy. Score! Go to Kwik Star for coffee.

And I would highly recommend it. It’s especially good for families. It’s quiet, on the outskirts of town, with swimming pool, breakfast room and cocktail lounge

I have bad knees but still managed. Everything was great though from check in to check out!!! We will stay there again if we are in the Osage area again.

• Lin (6/5): - I booked online, and when i booked i clicked on the room that has a whirlpool tub. Paying the most expensive price for a room in the hotel i figured that is what i was getting. To show up, to a room that has no whirlpool and was not satisfied. They did nothing to help or fix the situation. Breakfast- ran out of eggs and sausage multiple times... and took a long time to refill. Noted i had a 1 year old which means we have a lot of baby items with us and we were put in a 2nd floor room. Just disappointed overall.

Deanna Humann the general manager was amazing we had left Tennessee from a funeral and gone up to see other family did not know how many nights we will be staying did the first night on booking and she helped us with the next several nights kept it open since we had no idea of when we would be leaving. The breakfast was amazing the pool was super clean and the hot tub was super clean you can tell they really take care of the property. There was also coffee and tea available in the foyer all times along with a computer and a nice sitting area to sit they also have a small bar and have pizza that you can order and get from there. The cleaning stuff also came to check to see if there was anything extra we needed. We were there for four nights. The only thing was the room that we were in was way at the end of the other hallway and not up close to the Foyer and the for the breakfast at the other end but it was a good walk for my mom with her walker.
