- Herrera (10/5): Fun and relaxing and right on the beach where every night is a natural lulabye provided by Pacific Ocean waves. - Loved the location of the hotel. It is a very quaint and quiet hotel for both relaxation and fun. Loved everything about the property
- JAVIER (10/5): playa - lo mejor frente a playa
- Dino (10/5): - We absolutely loved the hotel and the entire staff, especially May in reception and Ricardo in the restaurant, were both so so nice and receptive!! Hotel is so quaint and cute and is true Mexico, which is what we love!! Thanks so much Mar Celeste!!
- Edward Matthew (10/5): - Everything was great, the only thing that I would try to change is thinning out the birds.
- Steven (8/5): - Thought th hotel was a big resort. Turned out to be a 6 unit hotel on the beach. Beach is awesome. Very quiet rooms overlooking the Bay. Have to travel 5 miles to town.
- Zinnia (10/5): A Gem! - This little gem is fantastic!!! All I can say is I’d love to go back and stay here again. Attentive staff, perfect location, beautiful grounds and access to beach, just perfect!
- Lynn (6/5): - Not much around this location in food options.
- Nancy (10/5): - We loved our stay. Only 2 negatives..street noise from the Main Street is loud. Additionally the hotel has a policy of no outside food and drink in the rooms that I think Hotels. Com should mention that in the booking notes
- Ronna (10/5): - This has been a highlight of my life. I am 65 yrs old and never felt so pampered in. A quaint tiny comfy atmosphere. If you want a spokesperson for your hotel I volunteer. My only conplaint is that there are not enough rooms. It is hard to find a time to book. Great job everyone. Touches like having rope twined around the towels!!!
- Daisy (10/5): - The hotel was small but not crowded at all and very clean I really liked it and will definitely stay there again.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
Acceso directo a playa y alberca privada.
- Saul (10/5): - Is a nice place, it will be better if is adult only !!
- Diana (9/5): I loved the room and the staff were amazing :) - Excellent service, super friendly and helpful staff. The layout and design of the room exceeded my expectations. The view was great :) I would highly recommend staying here. I would like to go when the renovations are finished, so I can fully enjoy the pool and have a restful night with the blinds open. (There were workers outside, which is understandable, but it changed my experience of the place).
- Jesus (6/5): - The property was under remodeling the floors creating noise at all times damaging my rental car windshield.
- Mary (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and very scenic stay right on the ocean! Great amenities and staff. - Beautiful location. Quiet. Beautiful rooms overlooking the ocean. Lively sitting area outside and outdoor dining with good food! The staff is exceptional! Luca was so helpful, Liked c V it all.
- Javier (8/5): - Very clean great location but to many regulations...
- Edgar (8/5): Very good -
- Breanna (4/5): - Hotel stay was okay, private pool was dirty. Service was poor, in particular for dining. 1 of 2 tables at that time. Ordered appetizer, never came. 2 out of 3 dinners came after 50 minutes. My dinner never came until I asked server (Gustavo). He finally came back with it, 30 minutes after others were finished and it was cold. That was first time he was available to ask about food or for drinks. Then he brought appetizer at end of meal. Then brought wrong drink order and argued with me about it. Never brought wine menu he promised. After paying (someone else handled because Gustavo could not be bothered), we went to sleep. At 1000p, we hear loud knocking at our door repeatedly. It was Gustavo, I needed to sign something else. He also said he would take care of my meal and never did. Horrible service.
- luis felipe (10/5): - Un excelente lugar muy rica comida buen servicio sin duda volveré pronto
- Jose (10/5): - I recommend frenly staff
- Rogelio (10/5): - Easy access to the beach
- Irma (8/5): Nice place and service! - Location The room No. 6 we didn’t like it
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful property, the staff was very welcoming
- Lynn (10/5): - Beautiful boutique motel with only 6 rooms. Service was excellent! Awesome ocean side pool! We will be back Mar Celeste!
- Rogelio (9/5): Menu needs to be both Spanish and English - Location location location Charged for coffee at the room. Housekeeping didn’t resupply properly-towels and such. Kept going to the front desk for bottle of water.
- Virginia (10/5): - Loved it was next to the beach.
- James (10/5): - Some guests were playing loud music. Except for that, the property is a wonderful place to stay.
- James (10/5): - Great location, clean rooms, good food and excellent service.
The beach chairs are terrible. Like sitting on a rock! Need to change the chairs nobody else around has these terrible chairs.
- Nancy (10/5): - We had a great time! The service, the location, the room, the pool, everything was awesome. The beach is steps away from the hotel and the only thing I would change is the chairs by the beach. No reclining chairs. Other than that, great hotel. We are planning to go back next year already! Did not disappoint at all
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Dinner menu was the same every night, wifi was slow.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We booked for two rooms for three nights and pre-paid .
The day before arrival we are told that only one room is available as the receptionist gave away the 2nd room for the night of our arrival. So I had to go and stay at another Hotel .
The location and service are great it is much quieter than these large all inclusive hotels and to be recommended.
- Terry (10/5): - Everything was excellent food service the staff especially Oscar and the captin in charge in the morning breakfast excellent people. Dislike just the matress they need new ones. Food was delucious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were excellent. Friendly and always helpful. The wait staff were incredible. There were lifeguards on duty and in particular, Arthur was amazing.
The drawback we felt was that smoking was allowed in the dining area and around the pool.
- Steve (8/5): - The hotel's restaurant food quality is good, although the menu is limited. This is significant because there are only a few alternative restaurants within walking distance, and those were closed at 7 pm when we checked.
In general, there are very few restaurants, shops within or other places of interest within walking distance - a couple of restaurants and a small bazaar with stalls selling t-shirts and other typical tourist trinkets.
One big plus is the local bus with 5 - 10 minute service. The No. 1 bus runs along the main road all the way to downtown - "El Centro". Anything you could think of is somewhere along this route, and all for 9 pesos.
- geof (10/5): Very nice room with jetted tub, ocean view - Very nice room with jetted tub, ocean view and luxurious bedding (eight comfy pillows!), as well as seaside dining area with three meals offered. I only took advantage of breakfast, which was delicious. It is easy to avoid the time-share people occupying the lobby. The front desk staff was delightful, making very personal efforts to accommodate me.
- Jane (10/5): Small, boutique hotel on the best beach - I made this reservation with hesitation. Over the past 35 years, my husband and I have stayed at at least a dozen properties in Manzanillo, beginning with Las Hadas, in the early 80's. Among the hotels we've stayed in have been a few dives, but for the most part we've loved them all--Coral Pacífico, Barceló, Dolphin Cove Inn, to name just a few. We even stayed across the street from Mar Celeste when it was Club Maeva. So, you get the idea---we are experienced vacationers in Manzanillo.
We arrived at Mar Celeste and were amazed to see how close it was to the main shopping area. After walking through the open arch way, we were greeted by Karina, the concierge. Check in was muy rápido, (very fast) and Victor took us up one flight of stairs to our room. My first impression was that it was wider than I had expected--and fully equipped--great toiletries, pod coffee maker, make-up mirror, safe, and my favorite--a lightweight robe! Oh, yes, the shades on the sliding doors are controlled by remote. The balcony, though small, is right on the sea!
I was curious about what would be include in the all inclusive rate---in a nutshell, everything. The liquors and even the wines were top of the line. The menu is a la carte and the choices are abundant---lots of Mexican dishes and shrimp. I loved the Tortilla Soup--so much so that the chief gave me some to take home (though American, we live in Mexico.)
All the staff, Laura, Richard, Victor, Sabina, the beach attendant, etc, were great
- Erin (10/5): Great long term option - fantastic staff! - Really fantastic location and the rooms were very nice. Hotel has a good restaurant and the location was superb. Would definitely recommend. Stayed for 10 days April 2017
- Verified traveler (8/5): A hotel that feels like home - We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at Mar Celeste hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful and treated us like family. The rooms were updated and comfortable, the on-site restaurant was terrific, and the beach was steps from our door. We had a great, relaxing vacation at this small comfortable hotel.
- Charlene (8/5): Surprise in Manzanillo - We were totally and pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is a wee bit out of the way and close to a very good restaurant. The beach was super clean and very uncrowded. I would recommend this to anyone--but perhaps not great for kids. Quiet vibe.
