• Todd (2/5): Other accommodations are better. - Right off the highway. Toilet didn’t flush properly, the TV didn’t work, and the beds were uncomfortable.
• Sharon (8/5): - This hotel is OK, but it need a lot of updating. Everything is old. Our shower head just sprayed water everywhere not just out the head. The people above us woke us up every night tramping around. The people were very nice and assisted us getting into a room earlier than regular check-in.

The owners are currently renovating, but the place is not ready for guests yet; we wish them and their six cats well. We did not stay. We went somewhere else.

If you want to swim, you gotta dig out the pool that had been filled in with dirt and weeds. No breakfast option at the hotel. Like I said, it’s just a bed and a shower

• Melanie (1/5): Terrible experience 😪 - The staff was very polite and friendly. This hotel was horrible no water pressure in the shower, only drips of water coming out of the shower head. Had to take a bath. Toilets barely flushed. The owner switched us rooms and that room was even worse. I would rate it a 0 if possible. I had other family members staying at this hotel as well and same issues. We shouldn't have had to deal with any issues as we were there to bury our father/grandfather. Terrible experience overall. Heritage House Inn, in Muleshoe, TX was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! I should receive a partial refund if not the entire amount.
• Ivette (6/5): Skip it - Upon check in, breakfast details were never disclosed. Walking in the room, there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The shower didn't have much pressure and you have to be close to the shower head to get a decent shower. For the price, this hotel is not worth it.

Property was run down, parking lot needed mowing it literally had cracks in the ashphalt with weeds growing out of them. The first room I had had no A/C, the bed had rips in the sheets and was room was nasty. Second room had A/C, dead bugs in the window and floor, no water pressure and the towels smelled dirty and looked that way too. Also when I arrived the front desk had no clue that I have reservations. He had to call the owner in India to find out whether I did or not.

Dead bugs. Furniture old and stained. No coffee in room. Coffee machine moldy in room No continental breakfast or coffee offered like it said on website. It was very disappointing I can't believe booking.com does not check this place out. It used to be a nice place to stay. Being this is a small town unfortunately this was the best.
• 415rickim (2/5): Find Another Hotel - This is one of grossest hotels we have ever stayed in. It was filthy and incredibly expensive for what it offers. $115 per night, old, and dark. Check in person could barely speak English and seemed to not be very familiar with my prepaid 2 night reservation. We were only there to see the Sandhill Cranes at the refuge and fortunately saw them the first day allowing us to depart after one night. There must be another choice in Muleshoe. Be sure you make it.

Wanted to charge me for them, then wanted proof literally everything they were demanding was against the disability act. I sent them the the info and the harassment didn’t stop. Then when I arrived he started talking about having to clean the room. I was unclear what he was trying to say, so he told me I wasn’t listening. I said I was listening but can’t understand what he’s trying to say. He said never mind and that was the last interaction I had with that person. The person in the morning was very nice. I see why there were 2 other cars in the whole place. Room smelled heavy of cleaner so we had to leave the door open for about 30 mins but that didn’t help.

Didn't actually have the room I had requested, but had no prob getting me into one. Dire lack of electrical plug-ins. Frig didn't seem to be working well. SMELLED BAD.

The bathroom had dead bugs all over the floor and around the toilet. It just felt dirty and we did not feel comfortable sleeping in the beds, due to the bugs and old furniture and bedding.

• M9624EBdawnw (8/5): Clean and comfortable - We stayed at Heritage House Inn in Muleshoe Tx overnight with a small dog. The young lady at front desk was very sweet and pleasant. The price we paid was very reasonable and the pet fee was only $10.00. The room was clean and comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well! We were very happy with the accommodations 😊

• Tracy (6/5): Some issues with room checkin - Our room did not have any soap or shampoo. When we called the front desk to alert them of this, they said they didn’t have any. We had to go out in the middle of the night to get some with our own money. After driving for several hours from another state, and being very sore and tired, we found this development inconvenient and irritating. On the positive side the room was clean and well appointed, there was parking near the room, and it felt safe. I don’t have anything personally against this hotel, just annoyed they were out of supplies that should’ve been in the room. I’d stay here again.

The overnight could have been better IF The hotel offered any of the amenities that they would normally. This is disappointing considering the state of Texas doesn’t require the draconian measures that were in place.

I love that it's pet friendly and there is a big field beside it so our dog could run and get some exercise after a long day on the road. We will definitely stay there again!

The AC felt like it didnt work accordingly to temp. I did not even want to look at fridge or microwave. I dont believe worth price. However, people at counter were nice and eco friendly system of shampoo and lotion good.

• Mountaincall (4/5): Run-down and overpriced - I appreciate family-run places, and the carpet was newer and clean. But overall, this motel is overpriced and run-down. The beds are hard, the sheets were threat-bare, there was left-over ketchup on the wall, stains in the bathtub, cobwebs on the ceiling. Quite a few places on the property are not well-maintained. They still advertise breakfast but do not serve anything even though COVIDs been around for over 18 months now. They should at least not continue false advertising, and lower the price, especially given the condition of the place.

• CindyM463 (2/5): Horrible - The rooms are run down. The bathroom was dirty and the tub stopper mechanism broken, so no bath. The shower was luke warm water at best. There was no ice to be had, machines broken. Coffee maker in room but no coffee. Wifi was not strong enough to keep me online for simple tasks. No breakfast available due to covid, although restrictions have been lifted. Very overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend staying here.
• Brian (8/5): Not bad - It was about what i would expect from a small independent hotel in Muleshoe. The room was dated, but clean. I never turned on the TV, so can't say how that was. There was good water pressure in the shower. Multiple restaurants in town. Not exactly a vacation destination, but fine for a nights rest on a longer trip or if traveling for work.

• 813arlenea (4/5): Passing through - This inn is extremely run down, I would not recommend. I was not comfortable there. Did not even attempt to see what was offered for breakfast. The owner was nice but that did not make up for the poor condition. The internet was very deceiving.
• 633jimt (8/5): Nice rooms, family run feeling. - When in Muleshoe... Hey, it's a nice place to stop by and if you're in Muleshoe, this is as good as any. The price is right and if you get a room on the backside of the hotel, it's very quiet. Stayed here a few times and it's been nice.
• BandDMarquezTX (6/5): A little pricey for older room - It seems a little expensive for where you are in Texas. The room was quiet and bed was comfortable. We passed on the breakfast which includes a waffle maker and a few other items. Room did have refrigerator, microwave, and TV.
• 174billc (6/5): Good road warrior stop - We stayed here on a cross country motorcycle trip. It is located on the main highway at the west end of town. It meets the basic road warrior criteria...clean quiet room, cold A/C, comfortable bed, hot shower. Minimal continental breakfast. There is a good restaurant just down the road.
• Chanhans (4/5): Expensive for Old Room but comfortable bed. - After challenging the ten dollar price increase as the internet price is lower than the counter price, we checked in and had to pay in advance. Then we parked and proceeded to the room were we kicked the beer bottles out of the way on the sidewalk to enter the room. The other tenants were workers with poor manners. The air conditioner sounded like a drone airplane in flight with little cool to offer and the room was old and worn. The bed was fair for comfort and the mini-fridge and bathroom worked. There was no soap bars, but soap dispensers with a cheap soap.
• A554ILjerrym (6/5): A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE - At first I felt we had just booked another Motel. And in truth I suppose that's what it was. There wasn't a car parked at a room at 5:30 PM and that made me a bit leary. But after having dinner (?) at a local Mexican restaurant that was terrible, we returned to find it was filling up nicely. Then we found we had two burned out lamps in our room, but after calling, they were replaced immediately. We had a good nights sleep on a comfortable bed, even though the pillows weren't too hot. The next morning after loading up the car, we went in for breakfast which was sparse at best. Waffles if you care to take the time to make them...no scrambled eggs...no bacon...no biscuits and gravy. Okay, I get it. They're not a part of a chain, so if waffles is what they call "breakfast", then so be it. It was halfway between Alamosa CO. and Arlington, TX and an appropriate place to stop. But I think I'll overnight in Lubbock at one of the chain properties..
• riderlady (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - Well if you can get past the folks that don't speak English you'll do okay with communication. But after numerous phone calls some mistakes were made in our reservations but it was fixed up when we got there. Very nice hotel in Muleshoe. Don't get it confused with their other hotel the Heritage Budget Inn. It's not the same place. This was set back off the highway and very nice and quiet and reasonable.
• bellestaroftexas (2/5): Low budget shoddy motel - Stayed here for one night traveling through while moving because they allow dogs. Lobby personnel were not hospitable at all. Not what i expected from a great small West Texas ranching town of Muleshoe. Very disappointed. Room was subpar. Very dated. Old and unclean. Uncomfortable, cheap linens and blankets. Worse than a Motel 6 or Super 8 motel. If I had known that this is what $90 would get me, i would have driven the extra half hour to Clovis and paid a little extra for La Quinta, at least it would have been clean and comfortable. Avoid this place! Not worth the money!!
• 42pamt (10/5): Nice Surprise for a small town - Very large clean and quite room. The breakfast was adequate with waffles, coffee, juices, dry cereals and muffins, It makes a good place to stop for the night from Colorado to Texas. Much rather stay there than in Clovis New Mexico.

It is OK and appears clean, they allow pets for a charge and it's quiet but does "Victorian" mean Motel circa 1980? Plan your vacation to stay here? If you do may I suggest expanding your horizons? Look I'm not snooty when it comes to Hotel/Motels, I actual prefer a Motel (parking right outside the room) when I'm roadtripping but I think if I find myself in Muleshoe again I might try another establishment.
• Mrsjones4746 (10/5): "OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO STAY" - Yes this is not our first time here but I have to tell you that my husband and I plan our trips no matter where we go to always include a stay at this Inn. When we checked in this past Thursday and we walked into our room, my husband and I both said "home at last!" We both love staying here, the people that have this place are so friendly and the rooms are always so clean, beds are the greatest and the TV watching is the best! Hopefully we will either come back this way soon or we may just have to drive from Ft Worth just to spend the night!!
