Guest Reviews
- Anna (10/5): - We enjoyed the setting of this property. It is a beautiful old house. Our room was nice. It was refreshing to swim in the outdoor pool although there was rust on the ladder to get out, due to it being a salt water treated pool. Possibly nothing can be done about that. There is no A/C and our room was quite warm but the ceiling fan and extra floor fan helped. We were awakened, (way past the quiet hours which guests have signed that they would abide by), due to a bunch of loud, unruly guests who had come in late from a wedding down the road and didn't seem to care that other paying guests were trying to sleep at 1am. Even though nothing was done that night, we were very pleased to have our host put in a request for a refund to Expedia. This was a wonderful effort on their part. I would reccomend The Sasquatch Crossing as a Bed and Breakfast.
- Trisha (8/5): - The room was cozy, clean and spacious. Although I thought it was weird how the sink was in the bedroom area and not in the bathroom. The floors are very creaky and you can hear other guests walking, but other than that it was very quiet. Free breakfast was included which was nice. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.
- Sardar (6/5): Change the beds!!! - The stay was nice and the staff were very friendly! But the beds were too soft. Me and my GF both had back pains the next day. Two night of sleep ruined. Also none of the beds are queen and you barely fit in there!!
- Nan (8/5): - A simple warm breakfast. Instant oatmeal not a way to start the day.
Bedroom had no end tables by beds. Our modern day electronics need to be plugged in and handy.
Staff was very curious and helpful. So peaceful.
- Rhea (10/5): - Great old house!
- Montana (8/5): - Everything was great but the room was very hot even with the window open and two fans on.
- Chad (4/5): Like being treated like a child - We were told to leave reception upon arrival to remove our shoes. Something about preserving the hardwood. The check in paperwork would put an SAT to shame. We left, easy to see we would only be in for more treatment as if we were children. The guy seemed utterly indifferent when we decided to vacate. To bad as it was my Autistic daughters birthday but it was the right thing to do.
- Jake (10/5): - Super cute with tons of Character. Would have been nice to have the pool working, but still a great stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Unique experience - Unique experience to stay in and old hunting and fishing lodge. There is an impressive Eagle Tower on the property. We took a walk in the evening and morning. Summer makes a tasty and filling breakfast. We drove to the nearby hatchery though not much to see this time of the year. Great experience!
- Duncan (6/5): Pleasant - Quirky heritage house set in pleasant surroundings To far from anywhere, facilities fairly restricted, felt awkward
- Andrew (7/5): Nice and comfortable room in a grand old house with a great host! - Great old house on a massive property with hiking trails around it. Easy parking and clean and spacious room. Hosts were great and a very nice home cooked breakfast provided. We had very hot weather so air con would have been great to have. Apparently they will be installing in 2026.
- Heather (9/5): We were very happy - In a nice setting None thing
- Steven (8/5): Very good place to stay for Tulip Festival visit - Excellent, plentiful breakfast. Lovely heritage building and beautiful preperty. Very friendly staff. Bed just okay, mattress too wide for its base. No chair in room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Isolated lodge in lovely rural setting. Friendly manager, comfortable room and excellent breakfast, perfect for a one night or short stay. Would use again if visiting that area.
- Mary (8/5): - Gorgeous property, accommodating staff.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Staff were friendly. Breakfast was really good. Really peaceful location. Lots of history. It is an older property, so there are limited amenities. They supplied a fan to keep the room cooler, but it does get quite warm in the summer.
- Tracey (10/5): - My friend and I just returned from an overnight here. The hospitality was first rate. From Elijah and to you Summer, who made our stay the cherry on top.
Chef’s kiss!
The breakfast was outstanding, poolside was just what we needed after a hectic week. One night here was exactly what was needed.
Oh my goodness we just loved the quiet and peaceful grounds. I highly recommend this place if you want some true hospitality from some very gracious and loving people.
Thank you so so much.
Next time we are staying longer!!! A hidden gem.
Bonus for the Pretty cemetary
- Lea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (10/5): A fabulous stay with Sarah at a stunning property in a woodland setting - simply stunning. - A treasure of a place, oozing with character
- Katie (3/5): Kind of disappointed and not sure why all the good reviews? - The front porch was really nice! The pool was old and rusty. I just got a tetnus booster but I still didn’t wanna go in. There was no air conditioning. I should have doubled checked this. It was so hot! Breakfast was good but there wasn’t really much choice in what it was. Pretty sure she gave me granola with nuts in it with my nut allergy I had told them about upon booking and then checking in. I don’t trust granola doesn’t have nuts so I didn’t eat it but I’d just be careful if you have an allergy. Just didn’t feel like it lived up to the reviews or photos.
- Niki (10/5): We felt so lucky to have been able to stay and experience the Sasquatch Eco lodge - This property has so much character and charm! Combined with the comforts and attention to detail and customer service and hospitality of the hosts it was a wonderful experience for us.
- Jae (6/5): - Room on 2nd floor was tilted, make feel unconfirtable.
- Marcelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Szeftel (10/5): Exceptional - This Lodge is exceptional. The hosts were very kind. We couldn't stay long but what we did experience was wonderful
- Thomas (10/5): - This is a wonderful getaway for couples, or for very small companies (less than 10) for meetings and lunch. There is no nearby grocery, and our room did not have a fridge or desk/table -- this isn't someplace you go to "get work done." There is a beautiful walking trail, and soon a tower to eagle-watch. The breakfast was simple and delicious, very filling. Wi fi was strong. A great place overall, though not overly recommended for children - not much for them to do there. It's more of a grown-up getaway. For them it's lovely!
- Maryanne (8/5): Wonderful would highly recommend to friends. - Breakfast great. Enjoyed eating with other guests & that you took time to sit & share indigenous history of property. Difficulty with tv channels. Maybe a printed guide “how to operate “.
- Deborah (9/5): lovely place and wonderful host. - Breakfast and host was wonderful taking luggage up the stairs
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nefer (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Marilyn (6/5): Enjoyable experience - The historical building with it’s original features It was cold. The heating system had broken down
- Diana (9/5): Peaceful in an historic building with good food and a homey atmosphere. - The Lodge is located in a beautiful setting. The building has a lot of history, and is currently decorated with many pieces of Indigenous art which was very much appreciated. We especially enjoyed the peace and quite, and the greetings from the household cats. Breakfast was very good, and included a fresh fruit salad. The only issue we had was the small bathroom and the location of the sink in the bedroom. But this can be expected in an older facility.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was fantastic and they were very accommodating with my special diet (celiac). Gorgeous house and area to explore. Not far from the conveniences of Harrison Hot Springs either. Only that we couldn't stay for longer as didn't get enough of a chance to explore the area.
- Wendy (6/5): Good location if attending a function at Sandpiper resort. - Excellent food and service! The history of the building is very cool. Needed a chair in room. Bed too high to sit on for older folks who need to sit to dress etc. Made my stay very uncomfortable. The innkeeper said there was not room but we suggested adding a folding chair. She said she would consider adding it.
- Gayle (10/5): warm, lovely and delicious - Greeted in a friendly manner. Given a tour of the house and a potted history of it. Many books around and areas you can sit in. No need to just stay in your room. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. Signage for the turn into the house driveway could of been sooner.
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazingly magical experience
- Sari (9/5): We found the B&B charming, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. - The property was away from town, beautiful and forested. We loved the historic quality and craftsmanship of the house, and enjoyed Sarah and her lovely family. We were even treated to a visit by an elk, and 2 black bears who came for the apples and grapes. What a wonderful sight! Being an old house, there are LOTS of stairs. Other than that, we loved it.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pochu (8/5): A relaxing stay in a place with nice surrounding. - The location and history behind it. Too strongly scented cleaning products used for the room.
- Rogelstad (9/5): Superb -
- Shelly (10/5): - Nice stay
- Beatriz (10/5): Lovely lodge - Sarah is lovely, she made our stay very pleasant. The room was very clean and the breakfast spectacular. We would definitely stay there again
- Monique (4/5): Disappointing - Sarah the property manager was friendly. The home was very clean. The bed seemed comfortable There was no air conditioning. The room was quite hot. It was an old home with an eerie feel about it and creaky floors . Did not stay the night but was charged the full rate.
- Paula (10/5): - A beautiful spot and lovely place to stay. Amazing breakfast provided and lovely little outside pool to use. There was no air con though - but the owners did warn us it was going to be hot!
- Morton (10/5): A real gem - It is a beautiful spot and beautiful home.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faye (9/5): Superb - Breakfast included
- Lynne (10/5): - Very friendly host and old style lodgings in a quiet wooded spot. Pool was very refreshing due to the heat
- Brian (9/5): An idyllic getaway from the city and a wonderful spot to catch your breath. - The property location is beautifully nestled in the nature that surrounds it. We fell asleep to the calls of juvenal owls and woke up to ravens. The wind as it whipped through the trees made for such a beautiful rustling. It is an older building with beautiful detail work however it may be missing some additional comforts some travelers have grown accustomed to. While it wasn't hot during our stay I could see the lack of cooling beyond fans provided being an issue for some.
- Barbara (8/5): Beautiful, friendly stay - Such a beautiful B&B with a rich history. I wish we had more time to visit the nearby Kilby Historic site. The room was comfy and clean, just warm as there’s no air conditioning, but it was equipped with several fans. The family who runs it is friendly and kind. Breakfast was a treat! I would stay here again for sure!
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (9/5): Sarah brings warmth to this historic house - character, history, spacious, breakfast, pool, Sarah nothing
- Sian (10/5): It was just perfect! - It was was wonderfully old, so much character, just loved everything about it!
Will definitely be going back.
Sarah and her crew were amazing. Can’t fault anything and our breakfast was fantastic.
Thank you Sarah was a lovely visit.
- Peter (9/5): Comfortable relaxing setting and met our expectations. - Great location; very quiet and peaceful setting. Sarah was a great host and made us feel welcome. Refreshments provided, tea, coffee etc. Sarah cooked us a very delicious hearty breakfast of fruit, eggs, potatoes and sausages, toast and jams. Made my wife a tasty tofu scramble as she does not eat eggs. Not much not to like, perhaps our bed could have been a bit bigger.
- Valarie (10/5): exactly what we were looking for to reconnect with Canada as we live in Australia now. Thank you!!! - welcoming, homey, beautiful and inviting atmosphere and Sarah was amazing!! we loved everything!
- June (10/5): Excellent stay we would definitely return to eco lodge - The location was so peaceful and quiet.
We loved the breakfast too, it was delicious and set us up for the day The pool could do with some TLC
- Merilee (10/5): A stay with our family, we had 2 rooms. Very comfortable. Would be great for a big group. - Sarah is a very sweet host, and she cooked us a delicious huge gourmet breakfast with lots of variety, as well as providing vegetarian options for one of us.
This historic property is beautiful, although we did not have time to take advantage of walking on the trails, we really enjoyed the sights and sound of nature surrounding the lodge. It is an old mansion, bring slippers as you can't wear shoes inside ! Very clean, comfy beds, black out blinds, but don't expect a luxury bathroom... vey basic as we expected it to be.
- Rachel (10/5): - Sarah, the host, was lovely and really helpful. The home was beautiful and full of character and charm. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. We really liked being remote, but also being in close enough proximity to Harrison and other small towns full of great places to eat, walks and bike paths.
- Brooke (10/5): The best place to stay. - It was the cutest b&b ever and we plan to stay there again. I liked all the antiques. It was just so cool. A library with old books..sitting rooms. My daughter is adamant we go just to visit at the b&b. The beds and bedding were so comfortable my daughter got me to buy similar bedding for her at home. My brother wants to bring his girlfriend to stay there as well. I want to bring my dad as he would love the vibe there. The staff was lovely. Really amazing. Breakfast was awesome..I liked how homey it felt. All of us at a big table being served. Chatting with other guests. It was very close to a soccer tournament we were attending. I lost track of time and forgot to go back to check out. I was contacted before check out time asked about the key and check out. I was very grateful for that and went over immediately to complete check out. It was absolutely beautiful and I feel lucky to have stayed there. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful Iconic B& B.
The breakfast was the best we have experienced in Canada thus far.
Big thanks to Sarah and family for their warmth and hospitality That we only booked one night, would have loved to stay for longer.
- Tara (10/5): - We had a lovely stay! The Lodge has unique character & charm. Very clean, quiet and serene. Our host was friendly and welcoming. She told us about where to find the beautiful hidden waterfall and told us about the history of the property. Her breakfasts were delicious and filling! She also accommodated food allergies. We definitely recommend staying and will return for future stays! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
- Timothy (8/5): - This is a charming old country mansion with a lot of character. The breakfast part of the B&B was excellent. Good value for the price.
- Susan (9/5): Pleasant and relaxing - Helpful staff and incredible breakfast!
- Mikolaj (10/5): - You get to stay in an immaculately preserved hundred year old house. The breakfasts are innovative, using fresh local ingredients but still retaining a rustic feel.
Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful.
Don’t miss out on this one.
- donald (10/5): - historic, Indigenous artwork galore, well-maintained, clean, nice natural setting, great hosts. Next time we hope to have more time to see the natural history in the area.
- Magali (10/5): We loved it and will be back, for sure! - The lodge itself is beautiful and it’s set on a really wonderful piece of land with trails starting right at the property.
Sarah, the caretaker is a lovely person. She is very knowledgeable about the area, a really great cook and so sweet with all of her guests, including kids. nothing
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Enchanting Mansion, Awesome Host, Great Couples Getaway and Skiing! - Fantastic experience - the mansion was entirely enchanting and Sarah was an incredible host and cook. We're a skiing couple and came up to check out Sasquatch Mountain on our Indy passes. The location was perfect for hitting the mountain fueled on amazing breakfasts from Sarah. In the evening we had tons of privacy - we spent the first evening stoking a fireplace in the living room and drinking wine. Nearby restaurants were solid and groceries/services are a snap to reach. If you want a romantic getaway, and maybe some skiing, this is a really great option!
- Georgina (10/5): Fabulous - Beautiful and amazing facility cleanliness and good hospitality
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Sarah was very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend
- Sachie (10/5): - The manager Sara was so amazing cook, and host.
We enjoyed our stay very much. She was very friendly and welcoming.
We look forward to stay there again in the future.
- Clare (9/5): Lovely refreshing experience. - Loved feel of the house, hostess was great! Loved the big kitchen and the breakfast was just lovely.
- Tory (10/5): Great stay, lovey host and delicious breakfast. - Sarah was an exceptional host. She made us feel welcome and took the time to chat to us about the history of the building. Breakfast was delicious and the room was great too. If I'm ever back in Sasquatch, I'd absolutely be back here.
- Craig (10/5): Pleasent surprise at the bottom of Sasquatch Mountain! - I had never stayed in a B&B before so I didn’t know what to expect. The home was grand with a sitting room and library on the main floor. Upstairs there were quite a few rooms, ours had a private bathroom. A Victorian feel, with much of the decoration being vintage. In the morning we woke up and got ready to head out skiing and could smell breakfast. We walked down to breakfast being cooked by the host. She was lovely and made us pancakes, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. It was great!
- Andreas (10/5): - The heritage and antique building
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (7/5): Great breakfast, owners were friendly and helpful. -

- Don (9/5): Will definitely stay here if we are in the area again and will recommend to friends and family. - This is a beautiful historic home that is well maintained. The common areas are very nice and although the room was small it was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- Ben (8/5): Very good - It was a perfect little get-a-way to celebrate an anniversary. Away from the hustle and bustle of life, a quiet spot but close enough to interesting sites to see. Very friendly hosts, great breakfasts.
- Helen (9/5): Hidden Gem - It is set in a beautiful location. Breakfast was yummy
- Mary (9/5): Most appreciative - I absolutely loved learning from Deni and her husband Al. I very much appreciated the abundance of knowledge they were willing to share, and also their earth centered values, and wise, humble spirits, while being quite down to earth. We also much valued the First Nations presence in the art and decor incorporated into this beautiful old home.
My daughter and I both greatly appreciated the care put into preparing such a delicious breakfast! The bedroom we had could have used a larger table or bench on which to rest our bags.
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (8/5): - Well maintained turn of the century mansion with hard wood floors, friendly staff and quiet setting.
- Ingrid (10/5): Fabulous stay - Very friendly hosts, amazing property, quiet location, delicious breakfast.
- Marianne (8/5): Very good -
- Darlene (10/5): - Deni & Al are excellent hosts. Breakfasts were delicious. All in all a wonderful experience.
- Jacky (10/5): - It is a good place to enjoy
- Mu-peng (10/5): - None
- Vanja (10/5): - Third time here with our daughters. We love coming here in spring time. Lovely stay!
- Ye (10/5): - Nice environment. Very great breakfast. And a very cute kitty.
- Chris (10/5): - First time at a B&B...and Denny and her husband Al were the friendliest & nicest couple we could have asked for as our hosts. Finding it was pretty decent, hosts offered tips on how to find just in case, and the property was kept up in good condition considering it was built in 1904. Property was nice to walk around..we were told there was a waterfall around there, but we couldn't find it, lol, we found the creek instead. Breakfast was great, and our kids loved and ate it all. The hosts really made this trip special and if you have never been to a b b ... This is a great one to try!
- Denis (10/5): - Very friendly staff! Location is very quiet, though sound insulation between rooms could be improved. Excellent and freshly made breakfast.
- Diana (10/5): - The high quality and stunning art work complimented the house perfectly. The warm and interesting hosts were willing to share so much about the area and enrich our stay.
- Grace (8/5): - Beautiful historic lodge in a serene environment. Not much extra space/amenities in bedroom but this was expected for older houses. Bathroom was clean and shower water pressure was good. Beds were a little squeaky but comfy enough. Grounds were nice to explore but do be wildlife aware-- Spotted 2 bears around the property near dusk (also mosquitos).
- Sarah (10/5): - We loved our stay at Sasquatch Crossing. Denny was lovely, breakfast was yummy, and the house was an interesting combo of settler heritage and Indigenous artistry. The location was so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely visit again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like everything about this property. I love that it is in a beautiful, natural, quiet setting. I love the decor. I love the heritage nature of the home. I love the little touches by Denny and Al that make the place feel so welcoming.
I will definitely be returning to Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge B&B!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a beautiful rustic lodge, an old 1904 house but very well-maintained. The floors were old wood and reminded me of my rural upbringing. Surrounding it was a green lawn and lots of trees nearby. SO fresh and beautiful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful hosts.Fabuluous property with well maintained grounds.
