Kirstin (10/5): It was pleasant & comfortable, loved the common/shared living spaces! - I had never stayed at a "ski lodge" type of property since I don't ski. I was in the area for another event and this property was close to my destination. Loved the property, room and the common spaces for guests. I would definitely return again if I was coming to this area. Parking was a little unorganized, but there was room for everyone. I returned late on Saturday night & had to wing it a little to park. (not really a complaint 😊)

Sharon (10/5): It was perfect for what we need that night! - Easy check-in, cleanliness of place, amenities (refrig, coffee, tea, toaster, micro game room) Bed was comfortable. Availability of snacks for purchase. Rooms are small but ok, shower is small but ok. overall nothing bad to say

Very little human contact, no option to check in early. The contact through texting felt weird. Finally saw a human at the desk on the last morning, made me feel better.

Roberto (8/5): Wonderful! - Very clean, no smells whatsoever. Anything you’d think you could need was there, or a sign to get you there. Innkeepers Mike and Dana were very attentive and nice. Noisy; even for a lodge. It would help to put SOLID rubber stripping on the door FRAME, on the surface where the door closes against.

Rina (6/5): Clean comfortable room but a little too remote from the nearest restaurants. - The room was clean and bed was comfortable. It was a too remote. Didn’t offer breakfast and the nearest eatery was far. Felt old.
Avril (8/5): - Location was central to nearby towns. Many shared activity/library/lounge areas to venture into along with a beautiful open fire on a cold evening. Walls were a bit thin when people talking in the halls and TV's on. We loved the idea of the open fire, in the communal lounge room, and it one of the main reasons for booking, but was told it was not cold enough (Oct) on our first nights stay.
Paul (10/5): Great place to stay - Fantastic property and fantastic stay. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The room was comfortable and all of the extra space around the hotel was great for relaxing in. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in the area.

Dana- the innkeeper was so pleasant and helpful! Our room was very clean. There was coffee and tea always available- with to go cups or ceramic mugs. A beautiful library with a fireplace, a game room with awesome games! I can honestly not think of anything!

John (8/5): Nice place for a short overnight stay - Hotel was clean and room was comfortable. Nestled on the road to Mad River Glen. It would be convenient location for skiing at MRG or Sugarbush. Dealing 100% through texts with no visible staff on site was a strange experience but probably something that will be more common in the future.

The whole lodge was newly updated and clean. I would definately stay here again!

The lodge is set up nicely for relaxation and recreation. Perhaps in the future the lawn/yard will be made more into a beautiful green space for the warmer months. Loved it ...and plan to return in the future.

The room a Standard King albeit very clean was a bit small. Not a knock on this place as we loved our stay. Next time we would choose the Premium King room. Location was ideal. Donald (10/5): - Our stay at the White Horse Lodge was one of the best we have ever experienced. We were greeted at the door by Dana who showed us to our rooms. There were two groups in our party, and we were originally going to be on separate floors. When she heard us say something about being family, she asked if we wanted to be on the same floor and we said yes if it was possible. She placed us in the Sugarbear room and the Snowflake room across the hall. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Dana made sure we had everything we could need and recommended the best eateries around. We also had the pleasure of meeting her husband, Michael, and their son, Bentley. I can't begin to express what an impressive family she has. I hope if you have the opportunity to stay at The White Horse Lodge that you get the chance to meet them. We can't thank them enough for the wonderful care they took in making our stay top notch. We were treated like family and will certainly recommend it to anyone we know staying in their area and will stay with them again.

Molly (10/5): Perfect ski or relaxing getaway - Excellent place to stay for a ski trip near Sugarbush/ Mt Ellen. Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it all! The innkeepers are so connected via text and make it so easy to get what you need. However they have almost everything you might need there for you. Bring your own food and use the kitchen refrigerator & dining area to use at your convenience Coffee and tea ready for you at 6:30 am and available any time day or night. Great places to just hang out with fireplace, books, games and TV
Elizabeth (10/5): - The Lodge was so convenient for skiing at either Mad River Glen or Sugarbush. It's so cozy and comfortable - the library with fireplace was a lovely place to unwind. We loved the game room, as well, and spent a few hours there playing shuffleboard and euchre and enjoying the company of other guests Loved the coffee bar and having a fridge to use. :) super comfy beds.
