TOUCH lighting on wall Microwave & mini fridge Vending machine &ice machine outside few feet from my room121.Its located on business district so there will be some traffic noise.I feel management is working on improving things.It was No vcacancy during my weekend stay for the Michigan adventure. Its still a 2 star facility.

Theresa (2/5): Disgusting - The hotel is surrounded by nicer places and priced close to the same. We’d been camping and decided to sleep in a real bed for the night, and this one was on our way out of town. No refunds. The whole room smelled like cigarettes, to the point my hair did when we left. Used condoms on the floor. Crumbs from someone’s meal in the bed. We stayed less than 4 hours and slept fully dressed with shoes on in our sleeping bags. I am NOT happy about any of it but they refused to do anything, acting like they couldn’t understand when I tried to ask for a different room.

Melissa (2/5): Worst Place on the Planet. - This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It smelled so my ch like smoke we could hardly sleep. The bedding and mattresses were filthy. The pool was closed and a good thing it was because it was discussing. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The deadbolt didn’t work. There were people screaming and shouting airside our door at 3am and I didn’t feel safe enough to ask them to stop. We checked for evidence of bed bugs, but we couldn’t be sure so all of our clothes that touched the beds we put in plastic bags and are heating or freezing them just in case. I can wish we would have taken pictures DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The other room had a stale smoke smell and it was obvious that the paint had been touched up with a color that didn't match. The rooms were in need of remodeling. The rooms were the poorest quality of any on our trip.

The pool looked as if it had not been in service for a long time, although online it did not state it was unavailable. Online stated a microwave was available upon request, but was not. I plugged in a cord behind the bed in a receptacle and it was very dusty and there was an old cookie? there. The bathroom door didn't close. The curtains smelled horrible so we left the windows open as long as we could. There was lots of trash scattered around the lawn. The 2 staff members we encountered were very friendly.

Very unsafe neighborhood! Dirty & outdated! Would not have slept a wink if we would have stayed there! Maybe $20 a night but surely not $125 a night!!!

The motel was run down, spiders crawling everywhere outside the building. It was not well maintained. We went to our room, but could not enter because it reeked of smoke and I am not sure what the other smell was. My son has severe asthma and could not handle being in the room. We asked for a different room, but they didn't have one. We said we couldn't stay there, but they said there were no refunds. It really was terrible here.

Door needed hard push/pull to open/close. Room smelled moldy. Stained bed. Bad lighting. Body wash in dispensary and outside by sink instead of in shower. Bathroom door didn’t close. Okay: free parking, closet w/hangers, fridge, free ice maker outside, table & desk. Good water pressure. Easy check in/out. Housekeeper was friendly. Next to main road to Grand Haven.

The doors are still locked and unlocked with a physical key. The facilities are run down. The sheets/comforter had weird stains. Luckily for me I was just passing through and not staying for a prolonged time. Would NOT recommend if your staying in the area. The staff was nice to me but not so much to the guests checking in before me.

Verified traveler (2/5): - omg, it was freezing in the room and had very dated and old furnishings, the baseboard heaters did not work and the air conditioning unit was providing heat. We had to get a heater from the office to warm up the room. There were no blankets on the beds, just cheap see through sheets and a thin cover. We requested extra warm blankets and received two but were still cold. The refrigerator was not working and had mold buildup. The phone was not working either. There were cracks in the bathroom which had no working heat. It was freezing in there.

Laurence (8/5): Clean Comfortable King-Size Bed For This Couple - No-frills motel on Route 10 Business in Norton Shores, MI. It's chief advantage was that in busy season, it is the most affordable decent option off of I-10. I will not name the other option; however, you will know it by terrible reviews and overall "Poor" ratings. Another advantage: It is in Norton Shores bordering Muskegon, a safe, quiet location. You do need to drive the business route for about seven minutes before you get to the hotel. Still, a whole lot better than the 20-30 minutes that it would take to stay at other budget offerings, more remotely in the area. The desk is typical. It is 24-hour; however, often empty off-hours. However, a ring of the bell on the desk always got quick attention of whoever was on duty. Make sure that you check-in before 11 pm or you may have a problem. The hotel is by no means fancy, either in or out of the room. However, the room is pretty large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom more than adequate and everything was clean. Extra Credit: Wife left her favorite bathrobe there and they found it and had it ready in a bag for us when we came by for it two days later on the way back home from Onekama, MI, back to Northwest Indiana.

Fridge didn't work, bathroom light went out as soon as I turned it on, no clock for alarm, one chair in room and it was old and dirty. Had to use my foot to push on door to lock. Looked like it was built in the 60's and never updated. Waste of money.

The room hadn’t been cleaned, the toilet paper hadn’t even been changed to a new roll, & the sheets were dirty. The door locks didn’t even lock fully. We asked for a refund or resolution & were told no switching rooms & no refund. Have a good night which left us to find a new room for our toddler after midnight. The service was terrible. This is obviously a room for a one hour service or a drug deal nothing more.

Eric (10/5): Wonderful Stay. - The room was the exact same room that we had in June. Comfortable beds, great WiFi. The only 2 issues with the room are the bathroom faucets are REALLY touchy and the air conditioner drain was plugged. Other than that, no issues. Definitely stay there again!

Rich (8/5): - The Seaway surpassed expectations. We booked it on the busiest festival weekend of the year at the last minute when nothing else seemed to be available. Reading the reviews (later) was disconcerting. People have loved to trash this place. (???) BUT... we found it to be very clean, decently appointed, and everything worked. And, it had that rare feature - an outdoor pool. The management was very courteous, available, and helpful. It was a very satisfactory stay in an aging, but maintained motel which was very close to tons of shopping.

jessie (4/5): Yikes - Honestly I understand this is a cheaper motel. But I have never paid $88 to stay somewhere like this place. The room says non smoking and upon entering the room I was hit with cigarette smell, it was so overwhelming, there were also moths/bugs in the room. Would not recommend.

Sarah (2/5): - We paid the money for this hotel and then did not even end up staying in it. This motel must not be in a very good area of muskegon. There was only one way up to the second floor, and the occupants of the rooms that we had to walk past to get there gave off a very scary vibe. We never even went into the room so I cannot say if it was clean or not. I just knew that we were not going to risk our safety.

Sometimes places get crickets when the weather turns colder. No other insects of any kind and things were clean. We were glad to get a microwave so we could fix our own instant coffee. So, no problems at all.

Neighborhood seemed a little shakey but no problems. A bit noisey with loud radios in parking lot. Motel is showing it age, needs some TLC. For the price, it was perfect.

There was ketchup or something smeared all over the wall, garbage still in the garbage can and questions blotches of something on the bedding.
