- Victor (5/5): The hotel was descent for what we needed it for. we needed a place to rest after spending all day on the lake - I liked the location. The pool was clean. Our room smelled pretty bad and it seemed as if the carpet in the room was damp. It smelled like dirty socks. If it hadn’t been for the bad smell, this hotel isn’t bad at all. The continental breakfast falls short quite a bit compared to other hotels with a continental breakfast.

- Cameron (2/5): Worst hotel on the planet. - Beds were made in the 90’s. Lay down on it and it will fold in half on you. Room was filthy and out dated. Elevator barely worked and the other did not work at all. Indications of insect infestation all over the breakfast area. I would never recommend this place. I’d rather sleep under a bridge

- Meghann (6/5): - I stayed here for a little over a month before I was able to move into a house. All of the women were super friendly and sweet. There were a couple of guys that worked the front desk that weren’t too friendly. They were always looking down at their phones or in the back. When you tried to ask for help, they wouldn’t even greet you or look up at you when they responded. Made me feel like I was an inconvenience for existing in their presence. The treadmills and one of the elevators didn’t work the entire time I was there. The hotel has satellite tv, but most of the channels wouldn’t come in the majority of my stay. The side doors were supposed to be locked for extra security, but they weren’t. I realize most of this is “first world problems”, but I do think some members of the staff could benefit from additional hospitality training.

- Jeff (4/5): - Unexpected deposit and staff admitted everyone gets upset about that as they don’t publish the amount anywhere. They just sneak it into your card. Bedroom seemed the maid the beds, however did not change she sheets. Smelled of a dirty dog. There is a Marriott courtyard across the street that is much better. This is not Hilton Standards, I would rate this location at an old LaQuinta standard. Big disappointment for Hilton

- Brenda (4/5): Disappointed - Pet dirty carpeted rooms lights didnt work main vanity and lamp by the bed. Staff seemed unconcerned besides an automated text?? Asked for late check out and gave us a hour yet room service was knocking at 11Am checkout time!! Check in 3PM. Checkout 11AM IF you love dogs in the bed this might work for you! Anyways wont be back.
- Cathleen (6/5): Mediocre - I booked 2 rooms, one for us and 1 for daughter and grandkids. Location was good. My daughter’s room was not clean. The pullout bed had dirty sheets. We called and clean sheets were brought up. It was gross.
- Shanda (2/5): - Property Manager and employees behind the desk seemed the least bit concerned over the fact the when I entered my room the first time I had dirty forks left in sink, a button missing to flush toilet and a fridge that didn’t work.the next morning it was discovered AC was also out as it had frozen set at 70. Over the next 16 hours when trying to resolve this issues my room was left unsecured by staff 2x, maintenance man (from neighboring hotel) injured himself and bled over carpet, bedding and towels. The staff let me enter my room without warning of the bio hazard and was more than annoyed when I asked to have it cleaned stating ‘they thought they already did’. Also after multiple attempts to get AC fixed I was eventually handed a fan covered in a thick layer of dirt/dust. That was the last straw and we left the property. We did our best to work with staff
- Mercedez (4/5): - I had booked a double queen bed 2-3 wks in advance for a softball Tournament and because I booked it through a 3rd party (Expedia) was told that since we didn’t go directly through their company directly we lost the room we originally booked and had to down size to a king bed and they would provide a roll away bed . They told us that they gave our double bed room to someone that booked directly with them and that they were sold out of those rooms so we had no other choice but to down size . We had to obviously take the room because all the hotels in the area were sold out due to the Tournament. We got to the room and it had a weird smell to it and didn’t think nothing about it at first . Our son woke up the next morning not feeling well and my husband and I both woke up the next day with a raspy throat so I’m not sure if there was mold or something in that room that would cause us to feel that way .

- F718WOkristib (2/5): Quick trip to help daughter move. - OK, Seriously folks, this hotel is nasty. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but cut it short to one. The Room had not been cleaned well at all-It was gross. So dirty we did not even feel comfortable taking a shower. The floors were so sticky and nasty you couldnt go barefoot. The shade was broken, so no privacy in the bedroom. Microwave had not been cleaned, sink was nasty, and then.... OH gosh, dont even get me started on the lobby and breakfast area. Coffee pots were gross, counters nasty, floors disgusting. They had run out of plates and I guess no one was there to wash more, so they just told folks sorry..... Then, when someone asked for one, one of the breakfast attendants started taking the sliced cheese that was on one plate, to place it on another, so she could give the patron the one that had the sliced cheese! AND She did all of this with her bare hands. and then set the plate of cheese out for others to eat. Gross. She then refilled all the utensils by holding the part you eat on, and never once considered hygiene, cleanliness, nothing. No one bothered to wipe down any tables, pick up trash, and certainly not sweep the floors. There is a sign in the lobby that claims Hiltons guarantee to offer a clean environment. Yet this hotel is not it! Not to mention there was no management on site to address the issues. and actually no one even at the front desk the majority of the time. The 2 front desk workers were polite, but not concerned with the disarray or filth of the lobby and breakfast area. This hotel needs attention. Oh yes, and the pool was Green, and disgusting! and the elevator was out of service!! Thankfully we had a first floor room, but my goodness.... Its just surprising this hotel had as many stars as it did. Maybe we just came on an off week.....? But seriously, Do better! $186 for one night, to stay in a filthy place. a Terrible experience.

- GregR676 (2/5): Dirty unkept hotel - Room smells like dog urine. Shower was dirty. Restroom vent did not work. The pool is green and full of algae. Staff move slow and unmotivated. Would never stay here again.
- Juan (3/5): Our stay at this hotel was terrible and I would never recommend it to anyone! - The only thing I appreciated was the location. The personnel was inattentive. Front desk clerk was always smoking outside. The hotel was dirty. The only working elevator’s floor was filthy. The sofa bed in our room was full of stains and smelled terrible. Several items/things were broken like the two treadmills, elevator, the lobby’s bathroom urinal, the back door of the pool area and the wall paper on the first floor hallway was loose. The outside grounds was full of weeds and dog poop. We ate breakfast the first day because the food was terrible. We asked the housekeeper not to clean the first day and she never came back to clean the other 3 days we were there. We were very disappointed with this particular hotel because we have stayed in other Hilton hotels and the experience have been great. It seems this one has been neglected. New management should be considered.

Our tournament was cancelled and they would not give a refund for the 2nd night stay. We ended up going home due to the beds being so uncomfortable.

I thought staff was amazing except for the heavy set light skin male with glasses running the front desk at night. He is not about the people who pay money to stay there at all.

Upon telling them we are leaving due to lack of clean room they tried to give us a 100 hotel points. Animals where going to bathroom in hall floors and being left even when staff was toldabout it. Staff was rude.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel in need of Refurbishment - This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. We stayed in room #412. The tile in the bathroom is broken, bathtub chipped, couch was torn, bedding was worn, carpet was dirty, toilet stained, hair on the floor in the bathroom. In the lobby the seating was stained, worn & dirty. I saw a woman in the lobby working diligently to try and keep up with the cleaning, but it appeared they are understaffed.

I was able to notify front desk at 7:15am and 9:12am but technician was able to show up at 10:15 am so I had to checkout without no repair been done or relocation to another room. Front desk lady and technician did their best under the circumstances therefore I appreciate their assistance. I’ll be requesting a refund through management. Thank You

- Jessica (6/5): - We enjoy staying at Home 2Suites but in this occasion the service was not all that. The front desk was quiet, not friendly, only offered water if we needed/wanted any. The restroom was kind of dirty, we didn’t say anything because it was late and we were tired. The pillows smelled like they had been there for a while. Every time we travel Home 2 Suites is our place to stay because of cleanliness, affordability and friendliness , however, this time we were not impressed.

- dwhno33 (2/5): Very Disappointing Hilton Stay - It was absolutely the most horrible hotel experience we've had in 8 years. The attention to detail regarding cleanliness and professionalism was way below subpar for Hilton. The staff's casual approach and dress attire were strikingly odd. It was hard to decipher who worked for the hotel unless they were near the front desk. I experienced very uncomfortable shower experiences. Two shower experiences were without hot water and one was with a dripping stream of warm water. I did have my stay comped due to these issues; however, the communication regarding their lack of hot water and water was not proactively communicated. The bed, room layout and amenities were nice and on par for Hilton. The staff was nice, but not professional. I would highly recommend Hilton removes its name from this property or hold the staff to a higher standard fitting why customers secure rooms with the Hilton brand. Very uncertain of why this hotel as of December 2024 is rated #3 by travelers on TripAdvisor. There has to be better experiences in San Angelo, TX.

- Amy (2/5): Avoid if possible - This hotel was one of the dirtiest places I have ever had to stay. We were only in town for one night for a college VB game. The guy at the front desk was rude upon arrival. And oddly, it was almost as if he was trying to upset. Maybe he was having a bad day. Whatever his behavior has become the norm and easily excusable. However the hallway walls and carpet gross. The room was worse. The silverware and plate were dirty and not just a little spot. They still had food on them. The plastic coffee cups that are usually prewrapped were all used and stacked under the coffee pot. It was the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. However the shower was nice and hot with excellent water pressure. That’s the only positive I can come up with.

Our room had a piece of the frame from the curtain just sitting in the room. Additionally there was hair on the bathroom floor. Never stay there again.

- Aubree (4/5): Dirty! - this place was extremely dirty. like not wanting to walk to the bathroom barefoot, dirty. hair in the bathroom when we got there. patched holes in the door and walls. checking for bedbugs (there were none) revealed a completely gross stained mattress. the outlets on the bedside table were fake so I bent down to use the one under the table and there was splattered brown liquid all over the wall. food in the pull out couch. refrigerator blasted us with the smell of someone else's leftovers. hallways smelled like smoke. and no blanket available for the pull out with the sheets. I sent my kid down to get one and the guy sent him back telling him to look in the drawer. I had already done that because I'm not stupid so I had to go back down there and ask myself. I'm going back to San Angelo this week and will not be staying here again.
- Michelle (6/5): - Not as clean as I would have liked. Floor in the elevator was sticky and dirty. Looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. The door going into the room was dirty with pealing paint. The room itself was okay, but cord on the iron was damaged to the point of seeing the copper wires, and the soap dispenser in the shower was off the wall and just sitting on the floor of the shower. Just seemed like a lot of little things that could be tidied up and it would be a nice place.

- Miranda (5/5): I will not be back. - The staff was awesome and friendly. The couch was so gross, worn out, and stained. The floor was sticky, and the appliances were smudged. It just was not clean, the shower had orange mold/mildew around it. The breakfast was not very good.

- Marlaine (2/5): - I was put in an adjoining room with no lock on the door. I felt horribly unsafe & yard dormitory to barricade the door. I did not sleep all night for great somebody would come thru that door!!! I left the next day & went to Homewood Suites, which was AMAZING 👏
- Cynthia (10/5): It was wonderful! - It was a perfect setup for me. The staff didn’t notify me when entering my room with a disturb sign on the door. They replaced a GFI plug in my room, and didn’t restore the electricity.

I wasnt greeted when i walked in & was put in a room with an adjoining room & no door lock... anyone could've walked into my room at any point. Needless to say i didn't sleep at all. I left the next day & went to a fidgeting hotel.
- BobA551 (2/5): Absolutely Disgusting Hotel - Checked into my room. Walked in and it stunk of food and cigarettes. Trash left on the counters. Trash cans not emptied. Refrigerator not cleaned. I would RUN from this place. I am a lifetime Diamond and this place is NOT well kept and extremely nasty. Don’t believe me, check out the photos. I had to change rooms. Will check tomorrow and try to check out early and find a clean hotel.
