• Brittany (4/5): i won’t be coming back, i hope the daughters get out!!! - it was close to the st augustine amphitheater, the beds were decent the male owner or manager didn’t really want to help, simply argued and sent his kind daughters to do what would take seconds to solve, the shower was also cold

• Mia (9/5): Perfect place for a getaway that is accommodating, affordable, and centrally located. - The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and of a decent size, beds were comfortable, pool was clean, location and parking were both excellent. I will definitely be back to this motel! There was nothing we did not like about the place. We wish we would have been staying for a longer period of time. Hopefully next time we will have a longer stay.

• Rebecca (7/5): For the cost and location I would recommend the Lion Inn. - The room was very clean. The Lion Inn may be an older establishment but the owners take pride in it and it shows. The beds were very comfortable also. We had an adjoining room that we could hear the people talking very loudly. This was probably because there was an opening at the bottom of the door probably from the carpet height that was there before the carpet was removed. At least they weren’t up late !

The amenities are on the older side but still charming. Such a steal of a price for the location/cleanliness/how comfortable it is! Will definitely stay here again for any future shows.

All they have in the lobby is coffee which they only have very small cups. No breakfast at all, not anything. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pool had no umbrellas or shade to sit under.

We asked for a room away from the highway and they upgraded us not only to a room away from the highway but a much bigger room. The room was spotless. The location is unbeatable. If we are ever in St Augustine again, we’ll be back! My husband complained that the pillows were uncomfortable and made his neck hurt.

I didn’t like it because I stayed in a room with a connecting door to another room, and I couldn’t sleep properly because the men in the other room wouldn’t stop talking. I had to get up and ask the front desk for help. However, the front desk resolved the problem quickly.

• Albritton (8/5): Good location, clean, and budget-friendly - I liked the location. It was close to some hip restaurants and bars, but not in the middle of chaotic crowds. We took a quick ride over the Bridge of Lions to downtown, historic St. Augustine. It is walkable for those who can normally trek a mile or two, round trip It was clean and comfortable. Some of the decor was outdated, like the carpet, but it gave it a fun, kitchy feel.

It's a little too far to walk.

• Casey (9/5): Great little midcentury motel at a great price! - Location is great! Anastasia Island has a fun midcentury retro vibe. There are a lot of fun shops, restaurants, breweries, etc, all within walking distance. Only real complaint is lack of outdoor seating. The pool area has seating, but it would have been nice to sit outside the room. The rooms are comfortable, but the decor is a bit outdated. Like early 2000s hotel. Wasn’t ugly just dated. As a designer, I would definitely play into retro vibe… bright colors, pull up the carpet and refinish the terrazzo floors, etc. but I wouldn’t really call this a complaint.

• Oliveira (3/5): Disappointing Stay - Location Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we found hair on the bed, on the bathroom floor, and even in the sink. The bathroom floor was visibly dirty, and the mirror had water spots and stains, showing it had not been cleaned properly. The shower water was not completely cold, but it was more on the cold side than warm, making it uncomfortable to use. We immediately reported all these issues to the front desk, but the only solution they offered was an extra set of bed sheets for us to change ourselves — nothing else was done to address the cleanliness or the shower issue. For the price we paid, we expected at least a clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

It was fine, just needed to updated, all around. The color of the exterior building was very bland, not inviting, the two colors used were so similar that they seem blend into one. The exterior kinda lower your expectations of the interior.
