Wendy (2/5): - I cleaned and swept my room, mopped up water that came under ye door from the heavy rains with my own towels and threw all my garbage away when I checked out but I was told I was not allowed back that night because my room was left dirty. I had a dog with me and there was probably dog hair on the bed- though I used my own blanket as a bedspread so it couldn’t have been much - it’s all I can think of. Also the ac was not cold so I had taken my own fan. I stayed 9 days and felt I was treated very poorly plus the price is very expensive for the barest of rooms. Do not recommend

Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to stay. - Good place to,stay. It was clean and the beds are actually firmer than I like but I was able to sleep. The only problems I had they were doing construction in the room I had. But upgrades are a good thing.
Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty place - There was roaches everywhere and in the restroom. When we went into the room, there was a slaughtered roach on the wall, as if somebody killed it and then it stayed there. There was a dead roach in the refrigerator.

I also found a cockroach in the bathroom, and the exhaust fan was not working. I asked the front desk to change my room, and they did. The new room had a good air conditioner and a working exhaust fan, but I still found a few cockroaches in the bathroom. I had good experience with motel 6 in other city But not in Denton.

Was just looking for a clean room to sleep, walked in to the last guys food wrappers still in room, and dead bugs all overt the place even had a dead spider in the shower, spider webs all over the place it’s 90 at midnight in Tx and the room is 88 ac is just a fan that doesn’t do diddly !! All the do is change the sheets here if even that !! Don’t waste ur time !! Complete and utter waste of money !!

I understand that this is a motel but with the new updates/renovations, the cleanliness standards should be a little higher. Than third room had a blood stain on the bedsheets with no remote, microwave, or refrigerator. At that point I gave up and settled. Would never go back to this hotel again in my life.

Parking was limited so you got these huge diesel work trucks in front of my door and window starting up at 5 am with roaring engines. If you are looking for quiet, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!

I had to leave early due to the bed being so uncomfortable it cause my spinal cord injury to flare up and cause severe pain and I ended up with migraines as well. It took them four days to come and tidy up my room my trash cans were full and could not hold anything more by day three but they just never came to clean. They refuse to give me Refund for the three days that I didn’t get to stay with made up excuses. Stay far away from this place. Oh and the door would not shut properly like it was kicked in at some point and was not properly fixed.

I woke up around 3:00 to water dripping and just thought it was the faucet but at 5:00 when I got up the room was flooded I contacted the front desk and explain the room had 2 in of water on the floor and all of my stuff was wet they told me to contact Expedia who I booked the room through. Then I was told they would just refund my money to Expedia why didn't want that I didn't want that, I was exhausted and I had to wash and dry all of my wet belongings I asked him if they could just apply it to another night and move me to another room and they said they could not do that. And they offered no assistance with my stuff and didn't care that my room was completely flooded they all came and took pictures and turns out the people above me have left their water on but basically I ended up leaving that morning early with a bunch of wet belongings and no assistance in the hotel regarding my things or the fact that I was completely inconvenient and could not understand why they could refund the room but they couldn't apply it to another night so I could get some rest and dry my belongings. They just didn't care

AMANDA (10/5): - The overall state is amazing however the cleanliness of the rooms could be a little bit more as of wiping down the Walls the headboard the walls in the bathroom and in the bathtub. I also wish that there were more amenities as for small refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. The front desk is amazing. The overnight staff is amazing. Even with the construction going on they are still cheerful respectful and knowledgeable.

I brought some work gera dwn stairs i was on second floor. I went back upstairs to retrieve the rest of my work gear. There is a spot people use to load and un load. I went into office thought he woukd review cameras. Guess what?. He scammble the camera. Also ITS ROACH, FLEA INFESTED. THERE ARE UP TO 10 ANIMALS IN ROOMS. I FERL SORRY FOR THE ANIMALS. THE BIGGEST ANIMALS, IS THE MANAGER. HE SENT ME AN EMAIL FROM HIS IPHONE ADKING FOR MY ADDRESS TO SEND ME 150.00 FOR COMPASSIONATE ME. HE LIED ABOUT THAT. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP, UNTIL IM PAID.
Augustine (2/5): - I paid reservation July 31-August 01, 2024 11am check out through Expedia app. I paid reservation for same smoking room before next day 11am check out August 01 recheck in to get new key till final 11 am check out August 02, 2024. Desk tells me that I'll get refunded by Expedia since I already paid two day reservation separately but sold my prepaid room to another person before I thought I was reactivating room key just to learn I don't get the smoking room on ground floor that I paid first night & second day & night thinking no problems. Wrong! I'm stuck having to grievance my cancellation & full refund for Motel 6 cancelled in person themselves. Not my fault. I have been wronged & inconvenienced from my Money, schedule & troubles because of spontaneous bumping my prepaid two same smoking room reservations through Expedia. I request my full refund because cancellation not my fault. I have consumer rights & purchase protection in USA. I dispute the transaction & never spend my money at Motel 6 again. They wrongfully discriminate against me, violating my protected USA Constitutional Rights

When I showered the next morning, there was a live cricket on the shower curtain. The shower was very low. I know I'm not that tall at 5'4 but I had to squat down to shower. Definitely will not be staying there again.

I heard every step from the room above me. There was a very strange odor in the room. I know i didn't deserve a room at the Hilton, but i did expect it to be clean. I was just there to sleep, but i left before 4am since i couldn't do that. Very disappointed.

597marenaa (2/5): DISGUSTED - I’m disgusted by my experience at this Motel 6. First, there are bullet casings in the parking lot, and a lot of sketchy activity happening after dark. I am between apartment leases and needed a place to stay for a week. — After a few days, I got a phone call from management telling me to leave immediately. When I inquired as to why, he told me that I refused housekeeping, and this was against their rules, so I needed to leave. I work nights, and am not awake at 11am when housekeeping comes by. I even told by the office staff when I checked in that I wouldn’t need housekeeping, as I work evenings and have a pet; she told me this was fine. I was never told that housekeeping was mandatory until I was forced to leave. The manager was extremely rude. He wouldn’t even work with me. I told him I’d accept housekeeping that day if I could finish my stay, which he refused and told me I needed to leave immediately. — When I went to the office to get a refund, he called the police! Maybe instead of calling the police on an innocent person, you should call the police for the bullet casings in the parking lot, or the individual roaming the parking lot on meth. Don’t stay here. Never in my life have I had such a terrible experience at a hotel. I’m absolutely dumbfounded. This was absolutely unacceptable, and I will never stay at another Motel 6 ever again.

TaylorTXtf (2/5): Pictures don’t match the actual room condition! - If the staff hadn’t fixed my issue I wouldn’t have even given it one star. The website is very deceiving. Sure the color scheme matches, but the actual rooms are trash. Checked in to an upstairs room. As soon as we walked in we were hit by the stench of cigarette smoke. Looking at the wall when the head of the beds were and there were painted spots in various places that didn’t even match the original paint. There was a grocery bag wrapped around the working smoke detector, saw the green light blinking. The phone cord was missing. Went back to the office and they issued us another room. On the way to the room a guy pulled up with a very sketchy looking female in the passenger side, asked us where the office was located. Yeah you all know what that was all about. Checked into the second room, dead bugs in the corners of the bathroom, dirty foot prints on the floor. Dead grasshoppers in the main sleeping area. Such a disappointment from what they advertise.
C7073NJsuep (10/5): Great place - Stayed here as we were in between places. Management was so nice, and very respectful. Very quiet place and was able to keep my 2 small dogs w me. The housekeeping staff are very nice and helpful daily keeping things clean. Will definetly keep them on my phone!!
Taeandtheboyz (2/5): The absolute worse hotel! - Stopped on a business trip. I started vomiting in the parking lot. My husband barely made it to the room and washed our faces before my husband, former police officer, realized we were in the midst of a drug lab and in danger. We picked our things up immediately, he helped me down the stairs as he began to get ill as well. I asked for a refund that was denied not once but twice. There was a homeless man licking the ice machine, another man walking around with a club and a woman standing in the doorway blowing cigarette smoke on us as we passed by. The hotel desk has a very high tech surveillance system watching everything ... so go figure! Notified authorities of our experience! It was a nightmare!!!!

I have been very impressed at how professional and friendly the staff and management have been to me. The room is great as well and housekeeping comes around daily. I definitely recommend this motel!
PatzMorelia (10/5): Cannot beat the price! - My second visit the first being a couple of years ago. This has to be one of the best managed Motel 6s in the country. Very clean, almost minimalistic! Liked everything about it. Loved the price. Stayed 3 nights. Very close to many restaurants and shopping.

Then they started at 9am til noon then forced me to get out of the room I paid for and made me wait outside to clean it for over an hour. guestleemerson (10/5): my extended stay - I was a guest for a week at Motel 6 off of I- 35 in Denton, Tx a couple of weeks ago and wanted to take the time to comment on the immaculate customer service I received. I am an observer and noticed it is a finely run establishment. Your onsite manager was extremely hands on always on the property I assume making sure things were run smoothly. Yet he would take the time out of his day to stop and answer my redundant questions regarding where to get the best lunch! He never made me feel as though I was bothering him. Kayva the lady in the office is one of the sweetest ladies you ever will meet. I commend your staff on a tightly run ship! A satisfied guest!

705christiew (10/5): Excellent Motel 6 - This Motel 6 is an excellent place to stay whether on a short-term basis or long-term. Mitch, the general manager, has done an excellent job in keeping the rooms clean, the property clean, and taking very good care of his patrons. The cleaning staff, which I have had quite a few interactions with, do an excellent job keeping your room clean , your bedding fresh, replenishing any towels that you need, and of course making sure you have plenty of toilet paper. I want to mention some of the cleaning staff since they have done such a great job; Leah, Maria, & Lilly. They have a nice laundry room that you can do laundry in if need to. In addition they have a very nice swimming pool, which is very clean. The location is excellent off of I-35E/ University Drive. There are numerous places to eat, not to mention a Walmart about a mile away. I would highly recommend to anybody who needs a short-term stay, or even a long-term stay to come to this location.

I had my large dog with me and was having a tough time finding a place that allowed him. He knew the area well and was able to recommend good restaurants. If you are ever driving through Denton and need a place to stay I highly recommend staying here!
