- Verified traveler (4/5): - We had booked a executive room. For the amount they charge the experience is pretty average and not great at all. I lost my shaving kit on the first day. On asking people around there was no trace. The breakfast table cloths were have burn stains. Automated Curtains of my room did not open and close . Will not recommend.
- Himanshu (4/5): - The interior is quite dated. Many bolts n hinges of doors are about to give up. Rooms stink, like a place which is closed and not used for many days.
Breakfast is good with multiple options. Staff is very cordial and pleasant.
- TALVINDER (4/5): Third class hotel and service - Very dirty rooms, sometimes hot water not coming and sometimes cold, changed room twice, doors not locking inside. Changed room again at 1 am as easy to unlock from outside.
Only lobby is nice rest third class, I found big Rat near the lift and dumbness on the wall and ceilings. Breakfast not very nice. Mosquito in the rooms and cupboards.
Out big mistake that we booked Samrat Hotel.
Waste of liner time and inconvenience changing room again and again.
- NARASIMHA (8/5): - Air conditioning in the room is chilly. 26degree C also was chilly. Bath room should have been more cleaner and better break fast

5) Plugs needs to be replaced.
6) Checkin can be automated, currently employees needs lots off paperwork.
- Vishnu (2/5): - Horrible place to stay. AC does not work. Shower does not work. The rooms stink. There is mil dew( fungus ) on the ceiling which is unhealthy. Its an old falling apart place. Looks like they are trying to renovate . It does not look like its in the photos. I would rather stay some place else and pay few thousands more. Horrible experience.
- ROHIT (2/5): - Curtains didn’t close
Wi-Fi doesn’t work
TV remote didn’t work

This should sum up everything

- sainyam (2/5): Very old hotel - The hotel was under construction, AC was not working in the lobby, carpets were very dirty, there was no hot water in the toilets.
I had to cancel my stay within 1 hr of checkin. The staff was considerate and apologized but the hotel is not close to 4/5star.

- VARAPRASAD (4/5): - Old infrastructure hotel in the middle of the city and near by all embassies amenities are not really exciting. Room service was good and friendly staff
- Vijay (6/5): Worst experience - Very old type building rooms toilet .
Bed side phone charging points not available
- Shiva Ram (6/5): - Property was not maintained properly

- Bharath (2/5): - Property in worst condition, no maintainence
Waste of money, staying at oyo rooms is better than staying at Samrat...
- Prajith (4/5): - Got food poisoning from Veg Sweet Corn Soup. Absolutely horrendous
- Raveendar (4/5): - Pretty old and rusted taps, flush and tub. Sweating walls, door won’t close automatically. Beds are not clean.
I opted for a non smoking room., but allotted a smoking room, disgusting.
It happen to call for a plumber in the midnight., imagine the pathetic the situation…
- Sudheer (2/5): - It’s very old building, not managed properly. Toilet flush was not working, few insects were living happily there.
- gagandeep (8/5): - Excellent
- Shruthi (2/5): - This property sucks, it’s a really old property not maintained. Entire property stinks with mold and water seepage. Bed spread, towel looked dirty. I have stayed in cheaper hotels which had clean sheets than this expensive one. I would not stay here for free. Ratings in google and expedia misled me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Peaceful and good - Peaceful, good food, and economical.
- Tejram (8/5): double bed room was not available - wow
- Anil Kumar (2/5): - very poor quality of food, it looks very old setup which doesn't have proper wifi connectivity. I wouldn't recommend anyone.
- Zahir Rahim (4/5): Not a pleasant stay. - The Hotel was very dirty. Looked very old. Wifi didn't worked. The signal was not reachable in the room no one fixed even though complained about it. Not sure 3500+ is worth. The only good thing is the free breakfast with lots of options.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location is good, but the hotel needs maintenance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I feel night resection should be better i stood around 30mnts to conform my room..
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked the reservation through Expedia for my guests . Upon arrival , the receptionist asked the guests to pay by saying that the card on expedia is just for hold and they don’t charge it . I do not understand how does a 5 start hotel work like this ? What is the way to register for a guest ? When I requested this information from the receptionist over the phone , he mentioned that I can transfer money to the guest’s account and they can charge their card. I mean this is the most ridiculous thing to hear especially while booking through expedia and that too for a 5 star hotel . I would rate 0 for this poor service
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The manger was helpful
- Verified traveler (4/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall decent hotel - Location is great and cleanliness is good. Service and basic amenities such as WiFi were very bad. If you want to stay here for business I would strongly advise against it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was not good compared to the amount that is paid by me. I even lost my charger here as well.
I will not recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All stuff including location ambience very good. Breakfast option very good highly recommended
- Chaitanya (2/5): Very very bad experience - Very bad experience. Rooms are very old and had roaches. Washroom is pathetic. We went as a couple and they gave a room with 2 twin beds that cannot be combined. Power outlets won’t work, beds are creaky and a lot of other issues. I will never stay at this hotel again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Close to the embassy.
The facilities inside the room are very outdated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - overall stay was o.k..Service is good, friendly staff. But Onething i found ridiculous was inspite of full payment online,i was asked to deposit 4000/ advance.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very old smelly rooms.bathroom toilet was not working and it was dirty.not happy at all
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Stay - Worst Hotel in the World Staff is illiterate.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - old property with no upgrades, or no good maintenance. morning buffet was less than average you expect at a hotel with too less options for Indian food.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Big hotel poor service.. Third class facilty ...worst experiance...poor managment..old propert..
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The booking confirmation mail was received but amount was not deducted. The problem was with Expedia but the hotel guys were not supportive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Overall experience was very poor. Have a club downstairs with music blazing so loud that my room was vibrating all night till 4 am. Didn't catch any sleep before an important day.
- Shavez (4/5): Not recommended at all. - Regarding the water supply in washroom i found the quality of water was pathetic. The plumber told there some pipe broke and so the impure water getting mixed with water supply.the room was old fashined and all the things were old fitted.the lighting was also not good.it was dark in the room.the security guy at the breakfast place was arrogant and uncorteus. He told i have already taken the breakfast before when i havent.so to be honest i will never book this hotel in future soecually when travelling with my family.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - They said no booking eve after I showed them the confirmation number and details. They collected INR 2000 additionally, even though my reservation was pre paid!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff service was exceptional.
Rooms and premises were clean.
Bath fittings were old.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When I booked the hotel room online, I had selected a Large Bed Room. When i got here, the person at the front desk told me there is only twin bed rooms available. I literally had to swear at him and his manager to get a room with one large bed. this is not it. when i got in the room , there was cigerrate buds and the door that connects the room to the adjacent room was also open from both sides and there were empty glasses sitting on top of a table in the adjacent room as in people have been drinking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Very good food. Friendly staffs. Its value for money. The location was also superb.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not recommendable for family - I didn't felt like it's a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is not recommended for family.
Below are my experiences:
~ The staff made me to wait for half an hour(12PM to 12.30PM) for check-in, stating no rooms are vacant.
~ Rooms were quite large
~ Bedsheets were not replaced with washed one's.
~ Many hairs on bedsheets
~ Semen marks on Bed sheet and blanket
~ Bad part is, even after complaining hotel staff, no proper action
~ Bathroom was worst than public toilets
Even though hotel is at very good location and 4 starred, I would not recommend for family stay.
I have pictures from the room. If the hotel staff wish to see,I can share..
- Ombir (4/5): One night stay - Location is very good. Hotel is being renovated slowly. So lifts etc and some rooms are in very old condition. WiFi is very unstable and password you receive in SMS does not work. Had to Call many times. Buffe Breakfast is great.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - ..resting on laurels of yesteryear. Large sections of the hotel appear unused. Some areas need serious renovation. The breakfast is terrible.
- Anoop (8/5): - Great location, but it need complete redo. Furniture, fitting everything need redo.
- John (4/5): - Property seemed in poor repair. Staff wasnt very cheerful.
- RajivKoul (8/5): - Room ceilings and closets are old. Bathrooms are old and broken, need new fixtures.
- Jyoti (8/5): - Good food. Great location.
- Raj (10/5): - The staff was very courteous and the room quite comfortable. The hotel is very accessible to the embassy area and major attractions. What made the stay even better was the great food and breakfast buffet!
- KwangWoo (8/5): - Hotel Samrat is located by Ashoka Hotel. Near the Samrat there are many important institutions. It seems that diplomats and business person stay at this hotel. I heard that Samrat means king in English. I guess Samrat was built in old days. So, it is a little bit antiquated. Breakfast buffet is fine. If you need to eat supper for room service, you need to deposit when you check in or pay cash when you order room service. It is hard to find any restaurant around the hotel. But it is not so far from Indira Gandhi Airport or from the urban center of New Delhi. You can reach some place for inexpensive taxi or tuk tuk from this hotel. That's the strength of this hotel.
- Javed (2/5): Absolute frauds - Absolute frauds. Thats what they are. They did not allowed check in. Staff did not help and refused to talk.
Never gonna use Trivago and Hotel Samrat in my life. Deleting app...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Typical tired government bulding with tired staff. hotel doesnt have any vibration to change your mood.government should do away with hospitality industry
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in central delhi - very good experience close to my office and very convenient to airport and other connected placed in central delhi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel - good experience, it is a central place and convenient to airport.
- P R (8/5): Very Nice Property needs maintenence . - First impression while reaching at the Hotel is very impressive and have good presentaion , vast lobby area plenty of space for guests waiting for Check-in or just resting after checking out.. Staff is courtious and attentive. Its the only choice after The Ashok in that area for people visiting to any Embassy appointments because all the Embassies are nearby. So no risk of getting stuck into a traffice jam and miss an appointment.
The only shortfall was Restaurant was not functional, though they have the kitchen and provide all orders in Room. Washrooms are very neat and clean and they provide every type of toiletories . Nice stay.
- Angel (2/5): Don’t get the room after booking - I booked the room through Expedia first time for a couple but when we went there they refused to give us the room because of two different I.d’s I mean how can two different persons id’s can be same . Secondly when we reached the reception the first line they told us that our air conditioner is not working from last few days so you will not get A.C i mean how can In a five star hotel A.C is not working from few days & still they have no rooms .
This is for your kind information that I wrote a mail to you the same day around 9:30 Pm that they are not giving us room and we also can not stay in non Ac room but I did not get any reply from your company .
So if you want our reviews it is really very very terrible from hotel side as well as from your side . So if we can get our money back we will be thankful to you.
Regards
Angel bajaj
