Guest Reviews
- YUKINOBU (5/5): シンプルな宿 - 静かなこと 設備がそれなりに古い
Wi-Fiが繋がらない
- Jason (7/5): This was an unusual location for the night but on my route. I welcomed the ghost town feel! - Comfy bed and quiet location other than the train, which I didn't mind. The desk staff was friendly.
- Paul (5/5): Value option comfortable bed - The location does not offer breakfast but there are really good options in the vicinity. In town there is really good food, and down the road about 10Miles at the is the Roadway Inn... excellent American Diner food.. The property is extremely dated, but clean. The bed was very comfortable and the AC/heating worked great. We were in Boron for a family event and for the price, this property definitely did the job.. the staff was really friendly. We were just sleeping and showering here and we slept well and enjoyed our time with family in Boron.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Victoria (4/5): - The lady running the check in was extremely rude. She asked if I wanted a smoking room and then when I said no I don’t smoke, she proceeded to insist I smoked and
Then said your from
The festival.
- michael (6/5): - The staff were very nice, the grounds were well cared for, the room was clean. Therefore, I feel a little guilty only giving 3 stars. However, It was a very hot day (105*+), and the AC could not bring the temp down to even 80* in the room after about 2.5 hours. The suite bedroom (separate room for bed 2) was not getting any AC at all. The refrigerator was not working, but the small freezer was. We had just arrived on motorcycles having driven in the very hot desert from Trona Pinnacles and needed to rest in a cool place, and stock up on cool drinks. Neither could happen, so we cancelled our second night. If it were late Fall, Winter, or Spring I would stay there...and have only good things to say about everything but the temperature in the room and refrigerator. So, seasonally subjective.
- Edwin (10/5): - Friendly staff.
- Michele (8/5): Fine for an overnight stay. - Room was very clean. Manager was professional and friendly. Bed was not very comfortable.
- Jack (9/5): Older rustic, but very clean room with large mini frig and micro wave and great beds ! Nice owners. - Chose the location to break up a long drive . Was in the desert which we like, but in a very small town. The motel was older, but very clean. The beds were great. We both slept 9 1/2 hours!
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (9/5): Great traditional motel to stay at for exploring the local area! - The Boron Motel was the perfect place to stay for exploring the local area. The room was very well appointed with a large comfortable double bed, decent sheets and towels plus selection of toiletries. Amenities included fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The air conditioning was more than adequate having to cope with 100F+ !!
Good WiFi connection and multi-channel TV.
We visited the Twenty Mule Team museum and the Borax Mine Visitor Centre. One small issue was the shower tray didn’t drain very well. Apart from that, it was all good.
- Stephanie (9/5): Boron Motel = perfect road trip stopver! - The hotel was exactly what we expected and needed! We arrived at almost midnight and the kind owner signed us in - in her jammies no less! - without delay. Our room was tidy, we had enough towels, the location was quiet. It was a road trip stop after a loooong day at work and a 3 hour drive and it worked very well for us. Easy in, easy out. Thanks Boron! The bed was a bit hard but honestly the room was what we expected - no frills! - and that was just fine for our needs.
- Steven (5/5): Passable -
- Jessica (8/5): - It was a serviceable Motel when we needed one. I was very glad we found a last minute place when our tent was ruined in some high winds.
The water pressure in the shower is amazing, was great for getting the camping dust out of my long hair. However the shower floor tile had bad mildew and the old curtain let water leak all over the floor.
Overall the boron Motel is inexpensive and served us well in a pinch, but overall it’s pretty rundown and would not be my first choice in the area.
- Jenny (8/5): Very good -
- Petrus (9/5): Superb - Easy to find, good bed, restaurants within walking distance. A couple of trains may pass during the night. I didn't mind, but some might want to bring ear plugs.
- Chris (7/5): Good - Old historical architecture and decor, but updated, very clean and comfortable. I'll return and recommend! It's a little small.
- Vallaree (10/5): Older motel. Minimal amenities, but an amazing price! - Friendly staff, close to everything. Affordable, and clean. The bed wasn’t very comfortable.
- Linda (7/5): Good -
- Jp (9/5): Superb - Nice small hotel in pretty little town, very kind owner! ---
- Steven (8/5): Very good - The folks there where very friendly and helpful.
- Katz (3/5): Poor -
- Becki (8/5): Very good -
- Samia (10/5): Exceptional - Very gentil Nothing
- Spafford (4/5): Disappointing -
- Martha (6/5): - Strange area. Nothing around. Good place if you don't wanna sleep in a car I suppose
- Noe (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff
- James (8/5): - OK this and many other of the businesses in downtown Boron are from days past they are not new. That said, people are very friendly. The room I had was small, but comfortable and clean. The lady who checked me in is very pleasant and easy to get along with. So it is not the Hilton. I didn’t want to stay at the Hilton. I just wanted to place that was comfortable and quiet and close walking distance to the restaurant which is like two blocks away people they were very nice. So yes I would do it again if I’m ever in that area .
- Carolynr (9/5): A quiet location - It was quiet and out of the way from the main highway. The facilities were dated but clean. A train goes by, but although I heard it, it didn't bother me. The bed was comfortable. It was easy to access and easy to park.
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Mia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toni (6/5): Meh - Your basic, run of the mill, small town hotel. Didn’t expect anything fancy, but a cup for water would have been nice. TV came on but couldn’t change the channel or adjust the volume.
- Lora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Jerome (7/5): Good -
- Tanua (8/5): Great experience. Will e back for sure - It was like family there. Always kept clean. Very helpful
- James (2/5): Very poor - Didn't like anything about the room. The shower didn't work, room too old and mattress was dirty. Couldn't wait to leave
- Jazon (10/5): - Nice little motel with friendly staff
- Antun (2/5): Ants and bed bugs!!! - The room was ant infested and I was awakened by a bed bug crawling on me. It was very disgusting. I left in the middle of the night. I tried calling the front desk and I went there but apparently they were sleeping. No answer!
- Debora (10/5): - No reflection on the facility but a number of trains go by.
- Kennon (8/5): A Pleasant Surprise! - For what is available in Boron this is a pleasant surprise. Clean and neat with simple amenities. Make sure you eat at the 20 mule team café just a block away. You get a real "taste" for the town with good-eats!
- Kenny (10/5): - A nice quiet room. Loved the old furniture, it matched the warmth of the room. We would stay here again.
Comfortable bed, nice and clean.
- Stephanie (6/5): Dusty - Disappointing given this time of Covid that there was dust on the furniture. Otherwise it was fine for a quick night sleep after traveling.
- Dawn (10/5): - I was surprisingly pleased at the way the room was it may not have been quite as cleaning as I would have hoped but it was close but I really really was comfortable there the woman that checked me in was more than pleasant nice and informative it was overall one of the better experiences I've had at a motel
- Edward (8/5): Nice little motel for a short stay. - Nice little motel. Great for a night ir two. Bathroom could use an update but it appeared they were working on rooms as doing just that during my visit. Safe parking off the road. Close walking distance to the two (both good) restaurants in town. In short I would stay there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and comfy - I arrived around 9:30 at night, didn't give notice I'd be late like usual since I was driving. Front door was locked but the owners/front desk was right there to buzz me in. Nice room, quiet street...right across from the BNSF mainline so trains might wake you up if you're a light sleeper. I'd stay there again though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was as I expected: small, no frills, but clean and plenty of A/C. The buildings look like they date from the 1920s and have been well-maintained and upgraded. I could hear the trains passing, but the sound was not so loud as to be annoying.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly, Neat - The lady who checked me in is very friendly. I am impressed by such a small town, the motel room is decent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Efficient and comfortable, great old time downtown
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Management or owners on property, very nice and welcoming. Loved it!
- Linda (8/5): Small but inviting & quiet - Small room but clean & furniture matched. Desk clerk not friendliest but efficient. All amenities of larger motel incl micro & frig plus coffee maker & hair dryer. Only neg is towels very thin.
- Terri (10/5): Nice local hotel - It is a small town hotel that has been fixed up and nicely maintained. We have stayed there several times when working at EAFB.
- Red (8/5): - Everything was good , except for the train that drive thru early on the morning, I was able to back to sleep, but some people might not be able to go back to sleep.
