Guest Reviews
- Hugo (8/5): Geweldig! - Heel ruim opgezet.

- Cissy (8/5): - We’ve been absolutely loving our stay here. We upgraded to the Executive Deluxe, and the room is not only spacious but beautifully designed (feels like we're in Ubud). One of the highlights is the little bird cage enclosure behind the villa—such a charming touch, especially for kids who get excited seeing the animals up close.
Restaurant was goed. Kamer was redelijk, bed oke.
- An Archaeologist (9/5): Very Affordable Hotel in Salatiga - Breakfast, crews, price transportation, swimming pool, unorganized time schedule(e.g. laundry service)
- Michael (7/5): comfortable and enjoyable - Breakfast was good with lots of options. Pond at the back og our room could do with a bit of a clean
- Kevin (7/5): Relaxing and beautiful retreat in the middle of the city. - Beautiful grounds and foliage. Loved the cages w/ various birds and a few other small animals. Property was generally quiet and very relaxing Hot water took a long time to arrive and couldn't use full pressure. TV was limited to only local and some satellite dish channels - no Youtube or Netflix access.
Breakfast options were very basic and favored local tastes.

Personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk. Karig ontbijt en het beddengoed was smerig.
- Johannes (8/5): -
- Irene (10/5): - Pelayanannya cepat, semuanya ramah Tidak ada
- Deni (10/5): - Place location and facilities
- Aditya (9/5): - Good city center location. Allow peace and quiet not so far from city amenities. Has 2! Pools, sport facilities Wifi is very spotty even in common areas like lobby, it always disconnects . I gave up and attended video meeting by 4g mobile connection
- handayani (7/5): Week-end salatiga - Bungalow cukup besar.Pegawai frond desk sangat sangat baik Sarapanpagi tidak banyak pilihan

- Kevynar (7/5): Good - - Good massage possibility
- Nice staff
- Good parking possibility - Shower have mold everywhere and need renovation soon
- Toilet can be more clean
- AC have either high fan speed or none, so either freezing or bit hot
- Breakfast can be improved
- Billy (9/5): Superb -
- Widarmana (7/5): Good -
- Colin (9/5): Nice hotel with good facilities - Executive room was great. Good size and comfortable grounds were well maintained and pools were good. Breakfast was ok. No restaurant for dining at night. Wedding interrupted our use of some facilities ie breakfast.
- Lewis (8/5): Very good - Very Professional staff and clean modern facilities There was no Hot Tub and the pictures for the hotel show a Hot tub for use
- Petroes (8/5): Overall OK, will be great if the breakfast improve quality and option - Spacious Breakfast menu
- Faisal (7/5): Good stay near the center of Salatiga - The location was closed from the wedding ceremony we attended and nearby the center of Salatiga. Good parking space, quick check in/out process. Staff were nice and friendly. Garden and green landscape was a plus. The room we stayed at the building side, the room odor, the TV channel need to be improved. The pillow was only two where the bed is Hollywood typed and big. Breakfast has good variety but the overall taste of the food need to be improved. Mostly tasteless. Nobody clean up the dining table which have been used by previous guest.
- Dheny (8/5): Very good -
- Irene (9/5): Perfect Choice for value of money - - Great location
- the Restaurant, the food and the breakfast (it's open till late as well) Nothing :)
- Linda (4/5): Disappointing - The surrounding The room is dirty and smelly.
They need to clean more and repair what is needed
- Stevanus (8/5): Very good -
- Mildred (6/5): Never again in an overpriced standardroom - The location was good, there was a beautiful garden and the main building had a nice appearance. The staff was very kind and helpful. Infortunately I had a standardroom. The furniture was old, the curtains were dirty, the airco was very noisy. The bathroom was very small and the rainshower could not be used, because the shower tap was stucked. Moreover there was a large group of people who did gymnastics at 6 a.m. with very loud music on the parking lot right in front of my room.
- Mui (8/5): Very good -
- 624silvied (8/5): A charming old resort in Salatiga - A Charming Old Resort with Room for Improvement
Hotel Laras Asri is a beautiful old resort hotel, nestled in green and tranquil surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere is complemented by the staff's warm and friendly demeanor, dressed in traditional Javanese-style attire that adds to the cultural charm.
Special mention to Anjani, the receptionist, who not only welcomed us with genuine hospitality but also went the extra mile to help me take some wonderful photos. Her kindness truly made my stay memorable.
The hotel has an aesthetic charm, showcasing its age in a nostalgic way. However, maintenance could be improved to ensure cleanliness and keep the property feeling fresh and inviting. The outdoor areas, in particular, need attention, as mosquitoes and other insects can be a nuisance.
On a positive note, the food was delightful, offering a satisfying culinary experience.
Overall, Hotel Laras Asri is a charming place with the potential to offer an even better experience with a bit more care in its upkeep.
- Indah (2/5): Very poor -
- Jeremias (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anwar (6/5): Pleasant - Problem on toilet Broken bidet shower
- Djulizar (9/5): Superb -
- Lo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mustafa (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff all around....kudos to Laras Asri. There's nothing that I don't like. All are likeable.
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): An urban hotel that effectively blends modeern facilities with a traditional ambience - The hotel has an appealing Javanese traditional feel with jasmine scent and gamelan music in the lobby, and lots of dark wood furniture. Everything is very well managed and maintained. The Sunday morning crowd, both in the breakfast room and at the adjacent swimming pool, was too large for comfort. There are too few recliners beside the pool.
- Vilia (8/5): Very good -
- Markus (7/5): Good - Good value & comfortable Its shower & hot water system need to improve
- Emiliana (8/5): Very good -
- Jules (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Good quality hotel, that's showing a little age, but good quality, value for money and excellent friendly staff.
Food was varied and very good Service was slow, but maybe that's the culture.. when asking for spirits to drink could take up to 30 minutes to be served as they were locked away
- Emy (8/5): Very good -
- Hannah (10/5): - Very comfortable room with good aircon, a little bit far to walk all the time but city center is around a 20 minute walk. Staff are very kind and helpful.
- Arvi (9/5): wonderful... - The staff give us the rooms like what we ask. We asked for room with connecting door and also the bonus bread and the dinner. Thank you laras Asri, we sure, will be stay there again in next traveling... the king size bed and the pillows
- Susi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ernawati (8/5): N/A - Break fast was excelent a lot of choice We booked the Room through booking.com didn’t realise it was’t include b/fast so we had to pay extra rp 200,000/days X2 rooms
- Phiiea (8/5): Nice staycation in Salatiga - The staffs of course! all staffs that I met..from Front desk, bell boy, security, restaurant.... All of them looks well-trained. Very friendly. ..
Location is good!
The bread store next to hotel entrance is good, nice marketing to give free bread for each room.. I bought about 20 breads during my stay there... 😂😂😂
The rooms, baths are clean, convenient.. Good value for money.
The physical hotel is better than the picture..the hotel needs to update their pictures in booking.com... We were so tired from glamping at merbabu mountain..
Bed is comfy..king coil..but ...only two pillows (bantal) in each room.. is not enough though... And bantal is too thin..
Not much variation for breakfast.. But the slice of fruit is big.. Which is good :)
- Aqil (9/5): Superb -
- Achmad (10/5): This is very nostalgic hotel. Hope i can visit and take a rest in this place again -
- Ajie (8/5): overall the experiences are good. - the location and the hotel facilities were good. breakfast is lack of the food menu
- krishnar370 (8/5): beautiful locale hotel - Laras Asri Hotel Salatiga provided a delightful stay with its picturesque surroundings and warm hospitality. The charming ambiance and well-appointed rooms made for a comfortable retreat. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness stood out, ensuring a pleasant experience, including a lovely garden and a relaxing pool, added to the overall appeal. The hotel's strategic location allowed easy access to Salatiga's attractions. While the dining options were satisfactory, they could benefit from a bit more variety. Overall, Laras Asri Hotel Salatiga is a solid choice for those seeking a peaceful and welcoming stay in this quaint town.
- I.armentia (8/5): Comfortable and clean resort. - Clean and comfortable resort, with beautiful rooms, building and gardens to walk around. It would have been nice if the staff offered to carry our bags to the room as it was on the first floor and no lift.
- Hera (7/5): Good -
- Andi (9/5): Nice for staying, but the pool hours are limited, only from 6 am to 6 pm - N/A Mosquito
- Sulivan (8/5): Friendly and Helpful Staff - The hotel is located in the center of the city so getting around places is easy, for example the market and souvenir places. Getting to other places such as Kompeng and Telomoyo is also possible and not too far from the hotel. Convenient stores are also close by and within walkable distance.
The place is clean and the staff are all friendly and helpful. They help us with suggestions on where to find souvenirs local to Salatiga. There is also a bike for rent. The bed only had 1 pillow. It would be better if they provide at least two pillows at default.
We stayed for two nights, from Saturday to Monday. The breakfast on Sunday was okay but the breakfast on Monday need improvement. It seems that the breakfast on Monday was less in quantity and quality if compared to Sunday.
- Suci (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evelyn (7/5): we stayed only for 1 night, just too short to use the amenities - the main building where the reception is, is beautiful. Drinks are served free which you can take as much as you like.
- Dr (7/5): Asking relevant questions. They dont read what has been mentioned already in the booking form - Too pricy Treatment of regular customers at reception when checking in
- Endri (7/5): Good -
- Nathan (8/5): Very good -
- V (7/5): Good -
- Saifullah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Happy (3/5): OK but facility needs to be refurbished - Relaxing atmosphere The facility looks a bit run down & uncared for. The shower heads was dislodged & not properly secured causing water to run all over the place if the shower handle was not gripped
- Philippedeke (8/5): Very good -
- Herawati (7/5): Good - the facilities and surrounding areas in the hotel None because the problem is that we are so tired that we have not enough time to enjoy all the facilities provided
- Casper (9/5): Superb -
- Jann (7/5): restful and relaxing - It was quiet with natural sounds of the birds and other animals. The green gardens were refreshing and very relaxing. On a clear day you could see the mountains. Unfortunately there was the smell of septic tank in the bathroom but it didn’t bother the bedroom. We overcame that by putting a towel over the bathroom floor drain and opening the bathroom door that led to the private garden out back.
- Mochamad (7/5): Good -
- Inggriati (8/5): Very good -
- Yung (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was ok. Connecting room was a plus. Location was superb. Rooms worn down. It wasn't look like in the pictures. The real one ..OMG. The reason we chosed this hotel just because there weren't better option available. Yah...kepaksalah.
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- Irene (8/5): Very good - The room, the friendliness of the staff Wifi doesn't work sometimes
- Randal (8/5): Good Accommodation Option for Salatiga - Clean comfortable room, with some good eating options nearby.
- Dicky (7/5): Good -
- Febrian (9/5): Superb -
- Tbina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maya (9/5): Superb -
- Lucia (8/5): Very good -
- AlitcadWahyudi (6/5): Good Hotel - Located at Salatiga, good hotel for families, staffs well-trained, good taste for breakfast, the pool in good condition, enough space for parking, reasonable price, but some rooms might dont have a good view, because it sorrounded with residential area
- Christi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amiarti (8/5): Very good -
- Christi (10/5): Exceptional -
- rsamanya (2/5): Substandard facilities - We booked a standard room with double bed, and added an extra bed. The main double bed was given with two single bed sheets, and a blanket for a single bed. We found this very late night we we were about to sleep.
Bathroom was filthy, with mold on the floor and bidet. Shower stand was almost fallen off. Shower was full of calcification.
Refrigerator was not cold.
During breakfast, when we left out plates on the table to refill our tea, the staff cleared out all the plates. When we asked, he just said "Oh don't worry just take another plate".
Spoke with Mr. Mia, Manager on Duty on 26 Jun, on our way for checkout, no compensation can be given.
- indraj2021 (10/5): recommended hotel if you visit salatiga, huge room, nice surrounding, friendly staff and in the middle city center, will visit a - I go to this hotel for family holiday for 2 night, best hotel in town with javanese ethnic sorrounding, huge room, friendly staff, near city town cannot imagine before to found this hotel in the small town, will be back again if we visit salatiga again
- mongasutu (6/5): Old and new - Standard rooms at front of hotel along way from pool or anything else in new building the old charming part of hotel at back withe large rooms and suites up to 160$ i ended up getting a room for 110$ big kingsize bed etc but exp for indonesia and getting old and worn old fridge with nothing in it... ordered tostadas from rs menues terrible snd couldnt eat it didnt resemble any tostadas ive eaten anywhere else in the world i dont know who dreamed up the recipe. The fish and chips passable but in all honesty whilst in central jave stick with nasi goreng as they dont know how to cook anything western properly pool is nice and clean i think this hotel concentrates on functions for its bread and butter.
- Jeanontrip (2/5): Old and damp room - Stay there because we were too tired to continue the journey. Since the king size bed only available on deluxe class so we ordered the deluxe room. I saw the room first and i said ok because it looked clean to me even it is old. The room located on the ground floor in the old building. Then we entered the room, took a bath and when we slept on the bed, the whole bed, pillow and blanket were damp. Even the blanket was torn in some part. My kid is very sensitive of damp due to her allergy. So I asked to see and move to another room but the manager said he has to charge us some money because we used the first room already. Since my husband not think it is worth the money to change to another room so we stayed in the same room. Then the manager sent us 2 new pillows which is clean and dry much better than what we had in the room. However almost the whole night my kid stay awake and stay outside the room because she cannot stand the dampness. I really dont like the room but i like what they have outside the room. They have nice garden and nice pool. Be carefull of the mosquitos.
- Susanti (2/5): Terrible! Disappointing!!! - The most filthy and bad condition we ever stayed in a premium room. The room smelled like dust, full of dead ants and insects even over the bed, stains all over the bathroom, and the aircon leaked tru out our stay. Even after our request to the Receptionist, the room was not ractified. The food was very simple and suprisingly less appetizing than a simple canteen by the street. The cafe offered old and dry cakes. We couldn’t wait to end the trip and get out of the hotel! It’s terrible experience without any follow up care from the hotel. It’s a shame that such a hotel is not well maintained but is still in business?!? They should do major renovation and change of management urgently!!!
- Indri (10/5): Asriiii... - Kondisi hotel nyaman...sejuk..asri..
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel nya bagus, suasana pedesaan terlebih ada halaman belakang nya.
- Syed (8/5): Located near to town and in comfortable zone. - Stayed for one day since I was on the way to jogja and feel comfortable and worthy for money.
