• Nevrthefullstory (8/5): Simple central budget bed and breakfast hotel with shared pool and pool bar. - Nice, clean, central budget hotel. Lovely Reception staff. Breakfast ok (more of continental eg., meat cheese tomato plus cereals and toast and eggs). Only grievance is I found the cooked food (under candle heat) to be cold both early and late breakfast times?! Spose You get what you pay for. Simple rooms, small basic but clean very small bathroom, but sufficient. If solo. Note: If you have any dietary needs, I’d advise you to check in advance of your stay!

The room was spotless and beautifully arranged thanks to the housekeeping staff, who did an excellent job and was very kind and helpful. At the reception, Ioanna welcomed us warmly and made everything easy for us. She was professional, friendly, and always willing to assist. We also loved the hotel bar, especially the evenings with live music – it created such a lovely atmosphere and made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, excellent service and a truly memorable experience. We look forward to coming back!

The housekeeper was extremely kind and helpful, and I really appreciated her attention to detail. Also, Ioanna at the reception was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. She made the check-in smooth and was always ready to assist with anything I needed. Overall, excellent service from both the housekeeping and reception teams!
• 437kelvinw (2/5): terrible experience - where to start just arrived back after a 10 night stay after looking at the reviews i thought it was ok no ones ever mentioned the noise we had to move room after 2 nights because of late night karoke bar below us that went on till after 2am the hotel is very noisey with late night drinkers slamming doors dustbin men early hours once we had moved room we had noise from sunny days hotel cabaret then aircon was leaking on to balcony fixed once then still leaked reception toilet was out of order for the length of our stay rooms very small and well past there sell by date and still use shower curtains wardrobe leaned to the left door catches the sink reception staff ok but not much help would not go again or recommend
• P712TQwilmas (6/5): Good service - A good Hotel for the price. The breakfast is not that great though, but i’m pretty picky. The first morning we discovered that the roof in our bathroom was leaking but got a new room right away. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities are really well cleaned. The neighbour hotel had a pool that you could use if you bought something from the bar, it was really nice. Overall a good experience for the Price. Nothing fancy but okay!
• Freedom22762042477 (8/5): In the middle of Ixia beach, clean and nice. - Close to the street and the beach. The staff really does everything they can to meet your needs. For example I had to catch a late flight and I got the opportunity to stay at a spare room till then. It is also very clean. Breakfast is ok with space inside and outside.
• Flyer16922633630 (8/5): Good would stay again - The hotel was tucked away behind a shop on the main road. On entering the hotel is very clean and nice. We stayed in a twin room which was adequate for our needs. The room was cleaned every day with beds made and fresh towels. There was a small fridge but no kettle. The bathroom was compact and the shower was hot and good but you had a shower curtain that did not reach the bottom which resulted in a wet floor which meant an additional towel needed to be placed on the floor. The beds were comfy. There is a bit of noise at night if you have the doors open. But this does finish at midnight and didn't bother us. Breakfast in my opinion was not the best as all the hot items were cold ie egg sausage and bacon. The hotel has no pool but across the road is a lovely pool with bar and sunbeds you can use for 5 euros. We enjoyed our stay at the Filmar and we would stay again.
• metchiei2025 (10/5): 100% Recommend, Super Service - Filmar has the most helpful, friendly, caring staff. My husband became unwell during our holiday which means we had to look for a place for him to rest when he got discharged from the hospital. Filmar became a home away from home. It's not a 5star hotel but it most definitely was clean and comfortable with added breakfast which was handy. We would love to go back one day to enjoy Rhodes lovely beaches, food and people. Thank you, Filmar! You have helped us more than you know.

We did use the pool next door but it was extremely cold! Plenty of very good tavernas and restaurants close by.

• sianmarie13 (10/5): Beautiful Greek hospitality - We decided to stay in a family run b &b this year after staying A/I in the ixia area over the past few years. Our stay at Filmar helped make this year one of our best yet in Ixia. The rooms - basic but clean and tidy. Cleaned everyday and fresh towels . Lovely team of staff who were always smiling and chatty. Breakfast - good range of hot and cold foods. Fresh produce and homemade constantly being replenished . Pool - direct access to pool at neighboring hotel . The pool / area was great. Comfortable sunbeds and always able to find one . Snack bar which was reasonably priced with nice staff. Location - right in the heart of Ixia strip and close to everything. Value - excellent value for money. What we saved not going A/I allowed us to eat out and visit lots of new places giving us a far better holiday experience as well as supporting the lovely local businesses. Finally a special mention for the beautiful family who run the Filmar hotel. They were all so warm and friendly. Always stopped for a chat and nothing was ever too much trouble. On leaving we were given such a nice goodbye with lovely gifts . We cannot thank you enough. Greek hospitality at its finest. I will certainly always consider family run now over large hotels 💙🇬🇷
• hranachan (10/5): Definitely recommend! Exceeded expectations - We stayed here because my Dad was unfortunately very unwell in Rhodes General hospital. It is a 8-10minute taxi ride away and is the closest we could get to the hospital without paying for a 5* hotel during September. We were so pleased to have picked Filmar, the staff here have been so helpful and understanding. The rooms and hotel is very clean, the breakfast is decent for the money. We also had to extend our stay due to the health issues and the staff were very understanding and supportive. It is located just 50mtrs from the pebbled beach. There is a pool You can use in the hotel next door (through the breakfast bar) or you can go over the road and use the facilities there for 5€ per sunbed. The reception is 24 hours and they’re always willing to help with booking taxis and making recommendations etc. Even though we haven’t come to Rhodes in the best circumstances, I would fully recommend Filmar Hotel to anyone!!

• katielp12 (10/5): Great hotel, lovely staff - After having our flight cancelled we were left by our airline to sort out our own accommodation until we could get a new flight. We found Filmar hotel and it’s in a great location by many restaurants, super markets and a stones throw from the beach. The lovely lady at reception was so welcoming and we had a great room facing out to the sea. We had to book daily, as we weren’t sure when our flight would be home, and the staff were extremely accommodating with this. The breakfast was lovely with a variety of hot and cold foods, coffee and juices. They kindly let us have a late check out on our last day due to our flight being later on. Would definitely recommend

• victoriaaF637YP (10/5): Amazing experience - Came in June and can honestly say it was the best week I have had in ages. The breakfast offered includes a wide variety of foods and snacks which is great, and check-in is so easy and quick. The rooms are always cleaned everyday which is really nice, and the shared facilities with Sunny Days is great, can access it at any time and food is offered so it is really nice for if you want a relaxing afternoon by the pool. All of the staff both day and night are really helpful and always ensure your stay is comfortable, fun and enjoyable, and me and my dad would like to offer a big thanks to Antonis who always talked to us at night and every day always ends on a positive note. He is fun to talk to and will always offer the best help he can along with all the other staff throughout the day. The hotel has the best staff and facilities (the bathroom is a little small but even with it being small you can freshen up ready for the night out) and I would definitely recommend. Check out also ensures your cases are secured in a room behind reception for the day if you have a late flight. Thank you to everyone for making our stay one we will never forget.
• Voyage826688 (10/5): Fantastic budget hotel, family run - Please do not book this hotel if you are expecting 5 star quality. You will not get it! What you will get is a very clean hotel with basic facilities required. The shower in my room was a little small, but the water was hot, pressure good, and I was able to get a freshen up before leaving the room for the day. The beds are comfortable. I did not use the breakfast, so cannot comment, but others seem to be happy enough with it. There are quite a few bars/restaurants seconds away that serve breakfast and meals throughout the day. I had a very good breakfast at a bar called FBI (full english with heinz beans and decent sauages), all for about 7 euro! The receptionist's (lady day/man at night) are very helpful, check in was nice and easy. You have access to a lovely pool area (30 seconds walk/next door) that has plenty of sun loungers and is a real sun trap. There is a pool bar and restaurant serving a range of dishes and a massive drinks menu. Sensible prices. I rate this hotel as excellent, because it offers excellent value for money. It is a traditional style hotel inside, so if you want ultra modern, not for you. On checking out, there is a secure room you can leave your luggage for later.

• Compass04371863925 (10/5): Best receptionist ever!! - We made an emergency booking as our flight home was cancelled last minute late at night - on arrival Antonis on reception was so very helpful and accommodating to our needs he made a awful situation so much better for us and our 2 girls and we couldn't thank him enough. The hotel was lovely and friendly very clean the breakfast was great and the pool area was fantastic also very near beach. Although we only stayed one night we had a good experience.
• Jimmie (10/5): Best value close to the beach. - This was high value for the money. We had a family room that was bigger than expected. Nice pool shared with the hotel next by. Super close to the beach. A bonus that the poolbar across the street let's you use their pool, sunbeds and access to the beach if you buy, drinks, breakfast or lunch. Location makes it easy to catch a cab in any direction. We choose the hotel for its location to the beach vs distans from airport. We could start to enjoy our vacation directly. Staff very welcoming and service minded.
• 372carinah (10/5): Amazing trip - Me and my friends had an amazing trip to Filmar hotel. The hotel was in nice condition, and the beds were soft and nice. We wanna give an extra thanks to Anthony, who worked night shifts, who were there for us every night, and who took care of all our needs. He was really outstanding, and we always felt safe with him around. Would recommend Filmar to all of our friends.

• StefiWernz (8/5): Nice and relaxing stay - We stayed at Filmar Hotel in August 2019. The hotel is situated on a main road with many restaurants and bars. Our room was clean with a sea view balcony. The bathroom is quite small but has hairdryer. The hotel seems to be renovated. The room was getting cleaned every day and new towels were offered. Breakfast offers many choices but the quality could be improved (eg fresh juices, better yoghurt etc) and it is served very early 07:30-09:30 am. The owner and the staff are very friendly and I think this is what I ll remember mostly about this hotel. The staff are there to help you and offer excellent customer service. I would definitely stay again!
• Klaudi1991 (10/5): Summer 2019 - I have booked Filmaf Hotel because of another good comings in TripAdvisor. And I am not disappointed. Room is small but have everything what you need during holiday. Bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Room with big bed, tv and very well working aircon. There is quite big balcony, I think balcony is in every room. Our room was from the small street side and we could see the sea. On the balcony there are chair and table to chill a bit in the evening. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast There is breakfast buffet with sweets, eggs, Greek salad and some other stuff. You can not stay hungry. Basic but good breakfast. Team All of the people who are working there are nice and helpful. Location Almost on the Main Street in Ixia. Almost because hotel entrance is from small street side. To the bus stop to go to Rodos City around 5 minutes. Many shops, restaurants, car rental. Beach There is no direct way to the beach and hotel doesn’t have a beach. On the opposite side is Villa do Mare where you can use free sun beds but you need to order some food or drinks. Villa do mate with a Pool. If you go out from hotel to the right you will find public beach with small restaurant Anna’s place. Beds for 5€ per person and nice and cheap food. If you go around 10-12 minutes also to the right from hotel you will find Amfali Coast. Beach bar + restaurant + sun beds. Order bottle of water for 3€ and use beds for free. Good is good and in very good prices. Beach is not sandy. There is a lot of stones that’s why you need shoes. This side of Rodos is windy, perfect for water sports. To the Rodos city buses and in 15 minutes you are in old town. Hotel with location, transportation, service is highly recommend if you are not waiting 5 star service in 3 stars place. Very comfortable hotel, good location, nice team.

• Geoff&Pat (10/5): Excellent clean and inviting hotel - Although only 2 star, in our view could well rate higher. Situated just off the main road (25 metres) to Rhodes town in the southern end of Ixia. Tastefully decorated and the foyer has a nice airy feel to it, nicely turned out and as with the rest of the hotel, very clean and inviting. There is a modern lift to all floors - not like some of the "cranky" lifts I have experienced in hotels with more stars! The rooms are (from our experience) basic Greek with good beds, air conditioning (which works very efficiently) and a fridge. The only slight downside (if I can call it that - only a very small issue that stopped me giving 5 stars to everything) is that the bath/shower room is a little cramped. The rooms are very well cleaned every day and fresh towels are provided at every cleaning. Sunday the only day the rooms aren't cleaned, but fresh towels are provided. The swimming pool is the next door hotel's, but easily accessible from the terrace. All the kitchen/dining room and cleaning staff are very polite and helpful; nothing too much trouble. The price includes breakfast (a lot of hotels £100 p/week more don't) is a buffet and quite palatable - fruit, cereals, eggs, omelettes, bacon, buns, toasties, croissants, etc. John and Lisa are the receptionists, speak good English, with a happy smile and, again, nothing is too much trouble for them. They really do go the extra mile to look after you, beyond just being reception staff. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this hotel

• Verified traveler (8/5): Everything you need - A small hotel with a great simplicity to it. Breakfast was very nice serving a mix of both hot and cold food to meet the needs of everyone. Rooms are basic but are kept tidy every day by fantastic cleaning staff. The biggest plus is the location which couldn’t be more central to the bars and pubs of ixia.
• Debra (8/5): Filmar hotel - Lovely hotel and staff, however, the area is very busy and commercialised. If you like hustle and bustle this would be a great location, however, if you prefer more traditional then I would advise looking to stay on the east coast of the island.

Aircon works well :) Pool area not hotel area but works very well. Steps from breakfast area straight to pool what was okay too.

• Verified traveler (10/5): 良いスタッフ - スタッフの対応が良く、快適に過ごせました。 リノベーションしたばかりもしくは新築？（グーグルマップやwindows10のマップでは道路沿いにありますが、少しだけ中に入ったところにあります。）のためか、内装は大変奇麗です。 インフラには若干問題もありましたが、スタッフの対応で気分よく過ごせました。 防音についてはゼロに近いです。 付近でバンド演奏や大音量を夜に流していることがありますが、夜は日本時間では深夜もしくは早朝なのでうるさくても寝てしまっていました。 神経質な方には厳しいかもしれません。 あまりにロードス島の情報が少なく、すぐ近くのホテルに公共のバスで行けるところまでは調べたのですが、海外でGPSが利かないこともあるので、安全を見て空港ホームページに記載のシェアタクシーで行きました。 （このホテルの公式HPからバス停を一週間までに問い合わせたのですが、返信なくシェアタクシーを予約しました。） 結論から言うと少なくとも往路はシェアでない専用タクシーをお勧めします。 シェアタクシーは空港で一時間待ちでした。 結局同乗予定の他の客が来ず、占有状態でしたが日本から到着後の一時間待ちは疲れます。 またバスはバス停のアナウンスがなく、GPSか景色で判断しないといけないので、特に夕方から夜についた場合に初心者には厳しいです。 因みに最寄りのバス停名は、olympic palace hotelです。 日中15分に一本程度走っていて、旧市街に行くのには大変便利です。1.9ユーロでした。 また機会があれば利用します。

• Sepp56 (8/5): Cheap and cheerful! - Usually stay at one of the 5 stars down the road but travelling on my own so the Filmar suited my needs. Clean room with a/c which is a must at this time of the year. Comfy bed, clean sheets and towels. ( No service on a Sunday! ) Breakfast was alright but if you want a full English go to the FBI bar round the corner! The bathroom is small and it's a hand held shower! The hotel shares a pool with another hotel where they have a poolside bar. Good food here and freshly prepared! For luxury you can go across the road to the Villa di Mare complex where you can really relax and chill! All in all I got a bargain and would gladly stay here again!

• Jennifer (6/5): - The shower was one of the ones where you have to hold the handle, the WiFi never worked and two days they just didn't come into my room to do the bed or give me towels (I stayed for two weeks). But the hotel, pool and breakfast are nice. I still think it is a very good deal for a 2 star, but since they told my friend that the WiFi is slow on the upper floor and there is nothing they can do I would avoid if you think you really need WiFi.

• P (8/5): Nice hotel close to the beach - Hotel is close to the beach (1 minute by foot). 5 minutes walk and you are at first windsurfing center. Additional 5 minutes gets you to Surfers Paradise (also windsurf center) where are really nice and helpful; excellent teachers and top equipment. I highly recommend them! Breakfast in hotel is OK. Fresh fruit, especially watermelons were excellent. Room was clean, with air-conditioning (perfectly working). Bathroom is small, but OK. Staff is always prepare to help you. Hotel also share a pool with another hotel. There is a pool bar.
• catherine (8/5): Would stay there again... - Great location. 2 minute walk from the beach and on the main road so easy access to restaurants, shops, etc. The room was very basic which was perfect for us as we weren't planning on spending much time in the hotel. However, there was access to a nice pool and bar which was unexpected! I would definitely stay there again for a cheap, short visit.
• Ingrid (6/5): Good for one night - This is a great choice if you have stayed somewhere else on the island and now are going to the airport. But I would not recommend staying there for the entire vacation. It's clean, but it's just on the main road. They do however have a great pool.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - empfehlenswert! - Ein kleines aber feines Hotel. Es war stets sehr sauber und das Personal freundlich. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Poolbereich, wobei dabei manchmal die Musik selbst etwas laut und die Auswahl etwas uninsperiert war. Uns hat es aber trotzdem sehr gut gefallen und empfehlen es deswegen gerne weiter. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Da kein Mittag- und Abendessen angeboten wird und die freundlichste Bewertung für die Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung "Touri-Falle" noch die schmeichelhafteste Bezeichnung ist, möchten wir allen das "My Place" Restaurant empfehlen. An der Hauptstraße Richtung Flughafen liegt es in einer Seitenstraße auf der rechten Seite in ca. 5-10 Gehminuten vom Filmar empfehlt.

• Handan (8/5): - Konum olarak plaja çok yakın. Ama taş sahili. Merkezi bir yerde. 4 kişi aile Odasında kaldık. Oda küçük değildi. Banyo ve tuvalet çok temizdi. Kahvaltı dahil olması çocuklar açısından Rahatlık. Kahvaltı açık büfe. Yeterli derecede zengin. Peynir sadece 1 çeşit. Personel her konuda yardımcı. Araba kiralayıp gitmiştik limandan. Otelde Müşterilerine ekstra kiralamak için indirim yaptıklarını gördük. Keyifli bir tatildi.
• Florent (8/5): Ravis - séjour d'une semaine repos en couple. Hôtel d'un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Le personnel est très agréable et toujours près à rendre service (information, location de scooter et voiture...)! La chambre est toujours propre, d'un confort simple, la salle de bain est juste petite. La piscine est géniale, pas trop fréquentée. Cet hôtel est familial et idéal pour des vacances reposante. Le seul reproche est sur le petit déjeuner, qui est un peu trop bas de gamme. En face de l'hôtel, il y a un super bar-restaurant vue sur mer (villa del mare) et un fish spa à faire !
• Verified traveler (8/5): Härligt poolområde - Hårda sängar men i övrigt väldigt bra budgethotell. Otroligt härligt poolområde som egentligen hör till hotellet bredvid. Man får även gratis solstol på femstjärniga hotellet mitt emot (om man handlar något i poolbaren).
• serena (8/5): ottimo punto di riferimento - hotel perfetto per coppie giovani senza troppe pretese...non manca nulla! pulito, letto comodo, reception aperta 24h, disponibilità del personale, colazione non proprio all'italiana, ma con tutto il necessario... buonissima la posizione...a pochi km dal caos di rodi e con locali e market a due passi dall'hotel. se noleggi un mezzo, può essere un perfetto punto di appoggio per la notte.
• Sini (10/5): What a lovely stay - An amazing value for such a small money! This hotel was really nice. The service, the pool area, the breakfast and the room was more than I expected.
