The host offered meals which were over a bit overpriced and after doing the camino you didn't want to walk back into town for a meal.

The check in was lovely, we were offered a drink of choice and a nice comfy lounger as we were personally checked in. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable and we loved the soaking tub. We appreciated being able to eat dinner and breakfast at the property and it was very good! Nothing I didn't like.

Sent photos home and m - The property was beautiful and Victor, the owner, took such pride in it. The room and tub were spectacular after a long day on the Camino. Loved sitting by the pool, relaxing, and meeting new friends. I wish more time put into the pool. It was a really hot day and the pool is a nice focal point of yard.
• Peter (7/5): Picturesque and comfortable medieval house, but have dinner before you arrive - It's a beautiful property with medieval vibes, but not in a tacky way. The staff were responsive and helpful. Room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast (€10 per pax) was quite nice also. The location is quite a ways away from the Camino and there are no restaurants nearby. So you're forced to have dinner there, which was not great. Dinner was around €15-17 per person but it just felt like packaged food that was heated up.

• Daan (9/5): Great place to stay, super comfy beds just off the Camino - It is 1 km off the Camino but well worth the extra hike. You get a four poster bed in a semi medieval farm setting. Sounds weird but it works. Best night sleep we had on the Camino. Check in times are critical. Communicate very clearly when you plan to arrive or you might shut out.

Если хотите сбежать от городской суеты и шума, то вам сюда! Дружелюбный персонал. Бассейн и зона у бассейна расслабляли в конце насыщенного дня, после пеших прогулок по достопримечательностям Браги . Немного далековато от хороших ресторанов , но если готовы выезжать вечером до Браги, чтобы поужинать, то вопрос решен.

• YANCLOD (9/5): - El lugar todo el recinto es un encanto y muy coqueto nos hubiera gustado probar el desayuno pero no pudimos ya que teníamos que salir y recién levantados no tenemos hambre. El ruido de los coches al pasar ya que son adoquines y la calle justo está a la misma altura del techo de nuestra habitación y era bastante molesto con unos tapones para los oídos lo solucionemos, el resto todo estupendo , bonito jardín, dueño muy amable, mujer de limpieza o trabajadora que llegó por la mañana muy simpática y amable, piscina muy coqueta, todo correcto excepto el ruido al pasar los coches mejor en habitación que no de a la calle adoquinada.

Las dos personas que nos atendieron durante la estancia encantadoras. La piscina también la disfrutamos . No desayunamos porque disponíamos de vehículo y vimos muchas pastelerías/ cafeterías por los alrededores .Todo muy bien . Yo esperaba que limpiaran la habitación e hicieran las camas todos los días , pero o fue el caso . Quizás esté así estipulado y yo no fura consciente . Por lo demás si buscas tranquilidad es el lugar ideal .

Próximo, existem restaurantes e supermercado, apesar de ser necessário usar o carro. Tem jantar disponível mas termina cedo, provavelmente compreensível para o tipo de cliente. Para entrar, temos que “tocar” na antiga campainha. O pequeno-almoço não é mau, mas podia ser melhor. Temos que nos lembrar que a única comparação que temos é com os hotéis. E também que estamos a falar dum alojamento com 6 quartos (salvo erro). Mas era suficiente, para mim.

• Harry (9/5): J'y retournerai volontiers. - L'accueil etait chaleureux et hyper courtois. C'est dans un salon de jardin qu'on m'a accueilli en nous offrant (comme avec d'autres) un raffraichissement en attendant de nous expliquer le fonctionnement de la maison. Puis, une fois le tour du propriétaire fait, on a eu droit, chacun, à une chambre IMMENSE et trés bien agencée. Vers 17h, comme certains d'entre nous avions froid, on nous a gentient proposé une boisson chaude. Le dîner, bien que peu original, etait convivial car servi dans la cuisine de la maison. Je recommande vivement cette maison et les 400 m qui la separent du Chemin valent la peine d'être effectués. Rien !

A choice of dinners and a breakfast were offered at such a good price, and so greatly appreciated by ravenous Pilgrims. We loved swimming in the rain and relaxing in our huge bedroom with it's two super comfortable queen beds. What a treat! Thank you.

Enjoying a welcome drink with a view of the pool and garden was a great way to end a 20km walk😁 I had lunch in the garden and a beautiful bedroom in a quaint, traditionally-styled country home. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. It is 1km off the camino trail, but worthwhile for the comfort provided and the pool to soak my weary feet😃

• Kim (9/5): Surprise castle-like stay - Arriving at Casas do Rio was a real delight to see the high stone wall and wooden gates surrounding the property like arriving at a castle. After ringing the gate bell we were met by a staff member who lead us to the outdoor cabana near the swimming pool and offered us a free drink (beer in our case) and apples from the garden while completing the check-in process. We were delighted with our large stone walled ground floor room with four poster-bed, generous sized bedroom and bathroom with a large bath tub for soaking in after a day of long distance walking on the Portugese Camino. The guesthouse is located 900 metres off the Camino and a similar distance into the near-by town to find dinner solutions. After a peaceful nights sleep we had a plentiful breakfast served in the kitchen on the second floor with sitting in there or on the adjoining verandha; cost not included in our tariff; at 10 euros each. The male staff member at breakfast was friendly, spoke English and very accommodating. Highly recommend this guesthouse. Bed was too soft and pillows lumpy.

• Smith (10/5): Beautiful, welcoming - It was beautiful. They were so welcoming. We got an arrival drink. It had a pool and a lovely bedroom. Bed was small for my husband as he tall apart from that it was brilliant.
• Nicholas (10/5): - Victor and Sandra were so helpful and accommodating and continually were asking us if we needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a great shower. They offer breakfast for a small fee and it was yummy and sufficient to start our day. It’s a little off the Camino trail and a little isolated. However, there are directional signs on the Camino trail so just follow the signs to Casas do Rio.
• Tappendorf (9/5): - Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen. Die Anlage selbst ist superschön. Auch das Zimmer ist schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Im Badezimmer ist es oft recht stickig, da es kein Fenster gibt.

A meio da tarde um casal recebeu visitas que ocuparam a piscina, saltando e atirando àgua em toda a volta, pondo fim ao sossego que caracteriza o espaço e expulsando todos os outros hóspedes. Faltou uma chamada de atenção.
