Guest Reviews
- Sande (8/5): A quiet oasis in the midst of a bustling weekend. - The bed and bedding were excellent as was the bathroom. The room fridge was good but awkwardly placed. The property was lovely. Parking was great The cost for a small room, although i realize Cape prices have gotten quite high. The stairs, especially the window, needed cleaning.
- Lou (6/5): - The owner Very small room
- Rachel (10/5): - We loved how quiet the property was since there were only a few rooms. Size of the room was perfect for me, my husband and our 3 young kids. Everything was clean, kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you need and the pool was awesome! I guess the only thing missing is a walk to a beach.. but other than that our stay was great! And we knew we weren't going to be "on the beach" when booking so it wasnt an expectation.
- L4580EFmaryr (10/5): A great stay that met all of our needs in a convenient location - My husband and I, along with our dog, had a great stay at The Seagrove in Eastham! It was wonderful to have a small kitchen that we could make a few meals in but also be so close to restaurants for take-out if we wished. Location was excellent for exploring the outer Cape areas. Excellent pillows, comfortable mattress, and very nice bed linens. Great selection of pots, pans & utensils in the kitchen. Bathroom was quite spacious, which we appreciated very much. Everything was very clean, which we also appreciated. Since we stayed during the off season, the pool was not open but looks to be a great amenity if you are staying during the summertime. We would definitely stay at The Seagrove again in the future!
- V2703AFmaryf (10/5): Excellent - Our second time staying here off season and it was delightful! Clean and quiet, comfortable bed and pillows. Kitchen was easy to use and keep clean, my partner had many food sensitivities, so cooking was a good option for us. The heating units worked well as October can be chilly on the Cape. Close to the National Seashore.
The owners are only a text away! We will be back!
- Stay543759 (10/5): Love it here! - Our second time staying here and it’s peaceful, comfortable and clean. Excellent communication with the owners too if you have any questions or needs. We also love the location!
- Susan (10/5): - This is our second time staying there and it was peaceful, comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Lucy (4/5): Disappointing “luxury” stay. - The pool area was nice, pool wasn’t clean though. The outdoor furniture was more comfortable than the furniture inside the room. Location was good as in it was in the town we wanted to be in, but it is hard to turn out onto R6. The two bedroom suite was tiny. The second bedroom couldn’t close the door as a bed was in the way. The sofa was hard to sit on, and there was not enough room for 4 adults to sit comfortably together in the room. I ended up watching the tv in the sitting area from the bed, that’s how small it was! The kitchen was a joke and I’m glad we hadn’t planned on cooking while we were there. Bathroom was also tiny and you had to push on the door to make it close properly. The “luxury” isn’t laid back, it just isn’t there.
- lodwig (10/5): Wonderful - Quiet, clean and well appointed
- Tuesday_Moon8 (10/5): Laid Back Luxury - This was the perfect getaway to explore Cape Cod. I loved the casual / luxury vibe. Everything we needed was available and the owners were just a text message away. I really liked the code on the door instead of a key - this way we didn't have to worry about carrying a key around that can easily get misplaced. We took a walk down the dirt road and discovered a pathway to the shore. What a great morning walk!! Bring bug spray BTW. From Eastham we drove to Wellfleet and P-Town and it wasn't far and the traffic was minimal. We stopped at Mac's market for food and cooked right there saving us a bundle. Very handy to have grills to use.
The decor was fresh and coastal giving us the Cape Cod vibe we were looking for.
Be aware that Shore Drive - where you turn in is easy to miss so we used navigation constantly.
I would suggest using oyster shells on the bocce court - given the availability of shells.
- Marco (10/5): Tutto come da aspettative - Tranquillità Nulla da segnalare
- Matthew (10/5): - Perfect getaway oasis. Everything was clean and communication was great. Very welcoming and can’t wait to go back!
- amysJ8177SW (10/5): Long weekend getaway - We had a great experience at The Seagrove. Everything was very clean and convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
- Thompson (6/5): Very expensive for what you get. - Lovely owners Thin walls heard neighbours arguing! Big family groups took over pool area. Not enough outdoor chairs for the number of occupants in our suite. Could do with written instructions on where to get bikes, beach umbrellas etc.
- Sonia Jones (8/5): Cosy but luxurious - The suites have been really well decorated and we had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and whilst smaller than we expected, it has been done in style. The pool area is lovely with sun loungers, hammocks and picnic tables. Location wise, it's just a short drive to Coast Guards Beach (one of the best beaches on Cape Cod). It was a little smaller than we imagined but it was so well decorated and laid out that this didn't bother us.
Cosy but luxurious!
It would be useful to have a shared washing machine/tumble dryer on site.
- Nicole (5/5): It was a fair stay for once - The bed was comfortable. The digital lock was convenient Steps were winding and narrow carrying the luggage up was not convenient
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Angelica (10/5): Recent family getaway - Very clean, great location, excellent communication from owner. Plentiful parking, impeccable grounds. Quiet, private, child and pet friendly, very safe. Will one thousand percent recommend to friends. I didn't like that I had to leave!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great set up, love the Cape.
- Emily (10/5): Perfect! - Such a lovely pet friendly property. Very comfortable room and really relaxing grounds. We enjoyed having breakfast in the pergola and the options to grill and have a fire in the evenings
- Kristi (10/5): Family friendly lovely two bedroom suite!!! - Location was amazing! Nestled on a quiet street off the beaten path it was a beautiful property!
- Katherine (8/5): - We had a very comfortable stay and it was perfect for our needs.
- Philip (8/5): -
- Valentina (8/5): Great for traveling with pet - Nice central location on the cape for exploring around (car needed though), quiet and pet-friendly, nice pool area. Kitchenette was well equipped and was great having a grill and fireplace as well! Did not meet any staff during our stay so can’t comment on that. Would’ve been nice to have complimentary cleaning during the stay and bathroom and kitchenette were quite cramped, otherwise we were very happy with our stay!
- Shira (10/5): -
- P8991JXlesleyw (6/5): Maintenance and cleaning are not their strong suit. - The quality of the furnishings was good and the bed was very good. However, the maintenance and cleaning were not good. One of the lights was out in the bathroom, the AC filter looked like it had never been cleaned. The shower drain was too slow to allow us to take a shower without overflowing onto the floor. And the fridge freezer was a solid block of ice. There was only 1 kcup of caffeinated coffee available and no black tea. The coffee mugs were both dirty and the one wine glass provided was also dirty. There was something stuck to the side of the table right next to my head when I was in bed and long hair of the floor in the bathroom. For this price point, we will not be repeat guests
- Stephan (6/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Tom (8/5): Convenient location on the Cape and adequate for the money but not as nice as I hoped. - The pool was very refreshing. The AC was a big help! Robes are always nice. Getting in upon arrival was easy. Could hear neighbors a bit too well. Especially the neanderthal with the little dog that he abused at 6AM! And getting onto Shore Road from Route 6 was not easy. I hate Route 6. Too busy!
- barry (9/5): -
- Filip (8/5): - My stay was only one night and fine enough..but after being prompted to do so, I decided to help fellow travelers and the some feedback for the management. I was working in the area and was looking for an affordable room for one night. I wasn’t traveling on pleasure like I imagine most do when they stay here. The good- the property and room were very clean and looked updated with many modern touches. Although the room was small the King bed made up most of the space which I was fine with. What you get for the price especially during the high season is an excellent value. The not so good: the second floor location is difficult to access if you have larger bags or items, as one has to navigate a very tight spiral stairway up to it. There is no trash can outside near the room except or a dumpster on a far side of the property so if you have things to throw away you have to bring them up and leave trash in the room or walk over to the dumpster , which at night or in the rain isn’t that fun. The worst gripe are the (frankly) terrible plastic window-unit ACs which make a terrible racket so you can even hear the television in the room. After it kept me up for a while I just shut it off which was fine because it wasn’t that hot out. But if it was this would have been more of an issue. I don’t know if the other rooms have these window ACs but I would avoid. I would recommend the blade type for those rooms and get rid of these window units. Again, overall it was fine for what I paid!
- Nitzan (10/5): - The rooms were clean and spacious. Our little kitchen had everything we needed. The rooms are tucked away from the main road, so peaceful at night. The pool was clean and the water were warm.
The owners were kind and accommodating and immediately available via txt
- Valerie (7/5): - Convenient to Eastham and Orleans Security entry not easily visible. Difficult to enter numbers. Not backlit.
- Marijo (8/5): - Central location. Nice quiet space. The picture show a little bit more elevated space than reality, especially the pool area.
- James (8/5): Nice Stay, Needs Some Updates - Most amenities, good location, quiet, nice beds, internet, allow dogs. Outdated ("painted over")cabinets, doors, kitchen and door fixtures. Was expecting a little better for the price. Never made attempt to open the pool Memorial Day.
- Allon (10/5): - cute spot
- Alexandria (10/5): - We were in town for a wedding and this was an affordable, clean, and comfortable option & centrally located for the area.
Bathroom was very clean, looks newly renovated, and stocked with toiletries in shower.
Room was stocked with ample coffee/machine, ironing board/iron, wine glasses, mini fridge, and many other things you may need.
- Simone (9/5): - The location is absolutely beautiful! We went during a time that heating was still required and unfortunately that is very noisy. Definitely too noisy to leave on over night.
- DEREK (10/5): - Great getaway
- Matthias (8/5): -
- James (7/5): Comfy, well appointed room - Very comfortable bed, tastefully decorated, easy check in via door keypad, nice bathroom. The location is good for driving to other parts of cape cod. Outdoor areas looked scruffy and the place felt a bit abandoned towards the end of the season. Getting back out onto the dual carriageway can be tricky.
- Vikkim224 (9/5): Cozy and comfortable! - We did not interact in person with any of the staff, but the facilities and accommodation were excellent. the best part was that the room was spacious and comfortable and most importantly pet friendly! We stayed for about 4 days and it would have been great to be able to have extra towels, soap, coffee, trash pickup. I wasn't expecting the beds to be made every day
- Lisa (10/5): charming and easy - cute clean would of wanted a tub if they have ? easy cute well
nade
- Scanlon (8/5): -
- hedge (10/5): Very nice place. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family. - Clean and convenient.
- Kaitlyn (6/5): - Great area, no onsite people to commute with, only text. Need to take out carpet in rooms. Musty and need cleaning. That’s my only concern and they must be aware because there was Damp Rid in the bathroom
- Linda (6/5): - Great location
- Lori (9/5): Totally worth the stay! - All the amenities, location, very comfortable room, pricing.Oh, and the bathrobes were a special treat😍 Difficult to find...when I hit directions on website for seagrove, it took me in Corliss Rd instead of Seaview. It was dark and impossible to find. Thankfully I remembered seeing a sign when I had passed in daylight and made a point to look for that. I called business number to leave message to help me find it and no one responded.
- cindysW3149NV (6/5): New owners at Seagrove Inn- beware! - We stayed at the Seagrove Inn last summer and had a great experience. We booked again in March, 2024 to return Labor Day week.
On the day we were checking in we received an email from new owners saying they had purchased the property in May.
We stayed five nights and never saw anyone working on site. There was no room clean-up provided - no sheet or towel change either. We were given the option to have the room freshened if we provided a minimum of 48 hours notice and paid an additional $35. A budget hotel would offer more.
The bathroom had a half roll of toilet paper and one other roll under the sink which was wet and covered in with black mold. There wasn’t even a box of tissues provided. We had to go shopping to buy these items.
The property had maintenance issues- the screen on our front door was ripped so we could not keep the door open to get fresh air. The swimming pool was open but you had to clean off the chairs yourself from debris that fell from trees. There was a wooden log laying on the ground on the walkway from the parking lot to our room ( which was a trip hazard) that was part of a broken fence.
The new owners say they are trying to differentiate this property as a luxury property but that won’t happen without providing service!
I did email the new owners right after our stay and never heard from them.
Won’t be coming back.
- Piper (8/5): Wouldn’t stay here again. - Quiet area, comfortable room, but most rooms don’t look like the picture. Not near restaurants, grocery stores, or anything. Property owners not accessible, and not much help when you find them. Kind of detached from running a hospitality business.
- Dianeyheadface (10/5): Great experience at lovely DIY inn - I really enjoyed my stay at the Seagrove. Check-in and check-out were DIY by way of helpful emails and text messages from the owners. My single/king walk-up room was quiet, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The shower was modern and luxurious, with two handsome waffle robes and beach towels in addition to bathroom towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap were provided (but no lotion). The Keurig in the room was stocked with coffee supplies. Even with two networks, the Wifi was very spotty when it functioned at all, but I suspect that's the fault of the provider/location and not the Seagrove! There was a thick binder full of thoughtful, useful local maps and information. The grounds have many amenities, including a lovely pool, lawn/beach chairs, a spa-type lounger-for-two, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, a bocce court, cornhole, and a gazebo. The grounds and the building are quite lovely and charming. The location was very convenient to my weekend activities in Brewster and Oceana, and just a short drive to the Nauset Light (of Cape Cod potato chips fame) Beach. I recommend and would go again!
- Paul (6/5): Could use improvement in customer service - Nice room, pool is great. People complain about bugs, to be clear Cape Cod was an entire forest, there are alot of bugs and spiders, that's part of the experience wherever you stay. Property has changed owners this was our 3rd time here, we only found out about new owners after booking i didnt like that they explained that after. Now in my 30's, I've been coming to the Cape since I was a kid and I've stayed at just about everywhere, my fiance and I really enjoyed our stay the first two times, previous owners could be seen on property and were attentive. New owners are a little too hands off. Grills and fire pits are advertised as part of the stay, the two fire pits had no propane, and the grills needed gas. I messaged the owner and they said they take care of it 4 days went by and nothing, we brought food and items to grill on some days as it was advertised, we chose this place for that feature. I acknowledge the next thing I'll mention is out of their control, a good amount of yippy and barking dogs from other guest on the property so while we were a little annoyed with that it maybe too pet friendly. Previous owners would ask owners with loud dogs to leave. Also it's hard to find the place at night, the spotlight for the sign was out our entire stay. Also someone came into our room to remove trash when we opted not to have cleaning, hands off and they point out where to get rid of trash but they came in anyway. Their also used to be a place to get beach towels that no longer seemed to be available or easily accesible as you can't find staff. Only staff I actually saw was from the lawn care company.
- Francesco (10/5): First time and stole our hearts - Very cozy and homey There wasn’t anything to not like
- MntnNja517 (10/5): A wonderful family vacation to remember ❤️ - This was our second time staying at the Seagrove. We love being able to bring our dog, as he is very much a part of our family, and we loved the accommodations specially made for him (dog towels, blankets, wash station, etc) We also love how well equipped the kitchens are in the units. They have really thought of everything needed to feel at home. The only thing to say is that it is hard having to leave such a warm and welcoming place.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Sun-and-Snow313 (8/5): Nice enough, but we didn't love it - Our stay was nice, but we didn't love it overall. We had a 2 bedroom suite, and it was nice to have the space and the little kitchen, etc. Some of the furnishings seem to have been updated in recent years, like the bathroom was pretty fresh, as well as the flooring throughout. The mattresses were comfortable. It was nice to have a pool.
On the downside, some of furnishings were not in the best condition. For example, the dresser drawers in both bedrooms were very wonky and difficult to slide in and out. The screen door was massively ripped. Oddly, the door to the twin bedroom could not be closed because the bed overlapped the door frame. The housekeeping was a bit odd. Everything seemed clean, which was great but, oddly, the hand soap container and the body wash container were completely empty upon our arrival. I contacted the owner, who sent the housekeeper by the next day to fill them, but she only filled the body wash and not the hand soap. Not the end of the world, by any means (esp. since they had provided bar soaps), but just odd that the housekeepers don't seem to have it on their list to refill the containers and I didn't love having a wet drippy soap bar directly on the bathroom counter since there was no soap dish. The pool was nice but, along with the rest of the landscaping, the area was a bit unkempt with a lot of leaf debris around the chairs, etc.
A couple of things not in the owners' control: First, the inn is located across the state highway from the Rail Trail and you take your life into your hands trying to get across 4 lanes of speeding traffic. I would NOT suggest attempting this with young children. Second, a next door neighbor to the inn has a rooster that crows early in the morning and sporadically throughout the day. We are more of a get-up-and-go type family, but FYI in case you like to sleep in.
Overall, I would probably give the experience about 3.5 stars, but TripAdvisor doesn't allow that option. I imagine the new owners will be fixing things up over time but, again, they are unlikely to be able to fix the highway crossing or rooster situations, so just be aware.
- Kaitlyn (10/5): - This was the first time I have stayed at a place like this and it was an amazing first time experience! Check in and check out were super simple and quick. The room was adorable and there were a lot of areas to enjoy the outdoors on the property
- lise (8/5): Très beau séjour. Belle situation géographique et bel emplacement. - La chambre était belle et très propre. Bien situé. L’extérieur et le mobilier extérieur manquait un peu de soin. Je préfère lorsqu’il y a du personnel sur place.
- David (10/5): Kayak Escape - Our room was perfect. Everything we needed and very clean. Bed and pillows were great. Access to the town landing was the perfect place to launch our kayak and because Amy and Geordie allowed us to park our car both before and after check-in, we were able to get in two great days of kayaking in the town cove and orleans marsh.
- Juliana (6/5): - It's too expensive for what is offered. But that's the reality of the Cape, old expensive places.
- Lord (5/5): - Close to a number of nice beaches. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. Walls are very thin in the upstairs room. Could hear the residents in other rooms very clearly.
Coffee machine did not work.
Not a huge fan of self check-in experience. It felt impersonal. It's nice to see a face upon arrival, especially if you have issues during your stay, so that you know who to contact.
- Catherine (10/5): - Had a very nice 3 night getaway with spouse last week. Happy to meet the owners Amy & Geordie (and some of their family), very friendly! Inn very convenient to lots of attractions in the area. Many cars in lot, but property was not crowded and we enjoyed sitting by firepit in the evening & taking a dip in the pool. Bed was comfy and room had just enough. Not really a negative, but only got 2 bath towels for 3 nights, no issues to reuse as didn't find a need to pay extra for more linens. Overall very nice stay and we would definitely consider returning some day. Thx! Cathy & John (Mansfield, MA)
- Laura (4/5): Cute property. Disappointing customer service. - Location Consistent problems with toilet which owner told us had started before we arrived. We had to be out of the room to accommodate the plumber. Also, no other bathrooms on the property to use. Had to drive to a gas station. Owner told us room would be cleaned and fresh towels delivered. That didn’t happen. We had to go to the supply shed ourselves to get our own towels. Owner never offered any discount for our trouble. Instead he told us he would give us a discount the next time we came. It’s been 35 years since I was last in Massachussetts. I’m 61 so I’ve got that discount to look forward to when I’m 96. We live in Arizona so it’s not like we go to the Cape every summer. Owner has a lot to learn about customer service and making things right.
- Simon (7/5): Lovely base to explore Cape Cod - Lovely private chalets with communal outdoor spaces featuring pool and garden games Nothing around the accommodation to walk to.
Wifi not great
TV relied on wifi
Air-conditioning only in living spaces - not bedrooms
- Aarti (7/5): Great location but not too highly priced - Lovely little property with comfy bed and great location The price was way too high - and yes, I know its the high season but it did not justify the room we had and the amenities in the room
- Liat (6/5): - The location is in the middle of Cape Cod, so it is not too hard to get to all the towns in the area. There were all the essential cooking tools, such as soap in the shower. We were disappointed. Although the house looked like it was in the pictures at first glance, the maintenance was so low that it was not worth half the price. We came to this house after traveling for a month in the USA, knowing what to expect after having been to five other places—this place was supposed to be the pearl of the trip. But the grass was yellow, the doors were so old we could not close them (we had to use the restroom by closing the door with our hands!), the mosquito net was all rapture (which is critical in the summer), and there was no AC in the room and the one in the living room was so loud we could not enjoy sitting there. Moreover, they charge 30$ if you ask for more towels and the total filling is of non generocitiy and hospitality.
- Kara (8/5): Beautiful and comfortable place stay in Eastham - Just like the pics. Very beautiful. Great AC. Lovely bathroom and kitchen. Bed was 10/10 amazing we looked forward to sleeping every night! Check in and out super easy. You don’t have to talk to anybody which we liked! They just text you a code and other info and you just go on in. Area wasn’t the best, but we weren’t familiar with Cape Cod. Eastham doesn’t have much and you have to drive everywhere. Right off the main road so no morning walks. Everything was perfect until something kind of weird and uncomfortable happened (especially for two young girls staying alone) My friend and I would keep taking turns using the only mirrors which were in the bathroom. No big deal. But one night we came home and there randomly appeared a full length mirror in the bedroom. It made us very uncomfortable that someone let themselves in with all our stuff everywhere and put it there. Also we wondered how they knew we were struggling with the mirror? Very strange. Most likely not going to stay again. The hosts never introduced themselves either which tbh we liked bc we didn’t have to speak to anyone upon check in or check out.
- Rianne (8/5): Needed a stay for a night in between travels. Very cute and comfortable! - Very clean, perfect for a small family. Had a nice small kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. It was more than adequate!
- Mary (9/5): Old Cape Cod on the outside but clean, modern furnishing inside plus relaxing grounds - We were really impressed with our two bedroom unit. Everything was clean, comfortable and in good working order. It was very quiet and we didn't hear other guests or doors closing so it felt like we were in our own separate cottage. The grounds are lovely and we took advantage of the cabanas, hammocks and picnic tables. It was a nice walk down to the cove. The only downside is the location just off the highway. You have to be careful pulling in and out of the road and you need to drive everywhere. Not much the hosts can do about that but guests should be aware.
- Maude (10/5): Lovely Stay - This is a beautiful rental with everything you need. The grouds are beautiful with many picnic tables, BBQ, chairs and a beautiful pool. The location is just perfect with some of the best beaches around. This was our second stay at this hotel and we loved it even more.
- Peach (7/5): Decent stay. Comfy bed. - Room appointments were lovely. Nice finishes. Very comfortable bed. Pool was clean and peaceful. Exterior of the building and hallways were a bit worn looking. All coffee pods in my room were all Decaf, no contact check in is nice, but no front desk and no face is a bit cold. Response by text was quick, but I had to go into the basement myself to get regular coffee pods for the keirig.
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful stay - We had a great time staying at the Seagrove! Our room was beautiful and well-appointed. We loved the pool and the various places to sit and relax outside
- Viveka (7/5): It fit the bill for us but it was marketed in such a way that my expectations were not entirely met, I’m afraid. - We needed a dog friendly spot so this was a good choice for us. Easy to find. Loved having two rooms so the kids had some space of their own. Pool is always a bonus. We paid for early check-in and when we got there the room was not ready. They reimbursed us but that was annoying after a long morning. Also, I was under the impression that it was a short distance to the beach which is technically true but no beach that we can actually access and enjoy. I felt that the wording on the website was somehow misleading. Also, I wouldn’t say this was “luxury”. It was good but fell short by using that word.
- X7670EZlaurac (10/5): It feels just like home! - We had a great time at the Seagrove. It was our second time there and it has always been so lovely. We did see some changes and improvements and we loved it.
Great pool, great relaxing area, great for dogs.
I cannot wait to go back and see how what they have done with the place.
We can say that out favorite hotel in the Cape is the Seagrove and it feels just like home!

- Scenic29956204803 (10/5): Perfect Family Vacation - In terms of location, perfect. close to the National Seashore and perfectly set back from the busy main road in a quaint little neighborhood.
Rooms are well appointed with everything that we needed.
Front and back yard provided space for relaxing at the end of the day and the kids loved the bocce. All court.
Really appreciated the responsiveness from the new owners and could not have asked for better recommendations for restaurants, beaches and sunset. Thank You!!!
- Willa (8/5): This little spot had everything we needed! - Location was convenient for us. Would have loved ACs in the bedroom.
- Susan (4/5): I will not return to this facility. - It was very clean, although the room and bathroom had a serious odor — musty? Cleaning fluids? — when I opened the door. I opened the windows and then closed them and put the AC on, but the odor never left. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t good. The room was very very small. Having a noisy AC unit inches from the foot of the bed, which came on and off all night, greatly disturbed my sleep. The picture on the website was misleading; it was not a picture of the upstairs rooms. There was only one chair. There were four mistakes made in the accounting: charges for services that were included in the price I had paid (although the owners did remove the charges promptly after I informed them each time); an invoice before we arrived for a much higher amount, and without acknowledging that we had already paid (I ignored it, and I guess it went away); the erroneous invoice had charges for taxes that were, according to Booking.com, included in the $304 nightly fee we paid in advance.
- Russell (8/5): - Very nice place to stay. Good value for the money. Room was modern and clean.
- Wilfried (6/5): - Sehr schönes Haus. Absolut kein Personal.Bei Problemen nur Telefonservice.Keine Reinigung, kein Frühstück,nur geeignet für eine Nacht.
- Hugh_C_Boston (4/5): WARNING! Do Not Get Fooled Like Me. Honest, Unbiased Review of the Seagrove (Eastham) - After returning from my vacation from June 20th to June 24th, 2024 at the Seagrove Suites and Guest Rooms, I have motivation, inspiration, and a sense of purpose to detail my stay at the Laid-Back Luxury Seagrove Suites and Guest Rooms (as it says on the entrance sign turning onto the property) And, I apologize in advance that this review is not short, sweet, and hardly a two minute read.
This review is only on the two-bedroom, pet friendly suite we paid $435.00 a night for. Total with taxes , $100 pet fee, 1 scheduled housekeeping , early check in, late check out , for the 4 night stay was $2176.44. (picture included in review). SPOILER ALERT: Rating 2/10 Waste of at least $900
Would you consider this luxury or boutique at $400/night? these are listed not in any specific order but as they came to me while writing the review.
- We were notified of new owners 1 week before we arrived and more than a month after booking. Non-disclosure in effect on June 18th--not.
- Bird poop all over the outside picnic tables outdoor furniture. Pictures dont lie.
- Giant hole in wood post outside entrance door. Metal hand railing was missing cap. Next door hand railing was loose and wobbly.
- Flowers, flowers, flowers shown on the main webpage. I saw weeds, weeds, more weeds and large tree stumps. (except for the 1st shed that you see when you drive into the parking lot.)
- Screen door screen was ripped and torn off of adjacent room
- Paid $30 for early check in at 2PM. Room still being cleaned until 2: 25 PM. I have video of cleaners walking out at the room at this time. Not refunded
- Paid $25 for daily housekeeping. Had to cancel cleaning (early AM sent email) as we were never notified when cleaning was going to take place & I did not want to leave the dog alone when cleaning would take place. Was told after I cancelled via email early in day that the cleaning was supposedly scheduled that day. Even though I cancelled, no refund has been made.
- WIFI sucks. Could hardly ever use my laptop. TV would spin consistently. I have pictures of connection speed of .114 MBPS. Not “high speed”
- Backyard is absolutely disgusting. No grass. Either bird poop on lawn chairs, tables, hammocks or black mold. . Could not pay me to sit down near that firepit or lay on a hammock.
- Looks like nobody has cleaned anything out in back yard in several years. Can’t rely on rain to clean furniture for you.
- Never saw a guest in the 4 days we were there using the backyard for any relaxation or recreation. -Rooms were hot even with the 1 window A/C
- Don’t get fooled by the outdoor pool pictures they provide in the website. lounge chairs--If you want to use, you need to clean yourself. Although pool was not crystal clear and pure blue water like in website photos, pool was passable for desperate children. Pool was very dirty at the bottom for at least 2 days. I provided picture as proof.
- Creepy crawler bugs come out at night. Don’t leave the windows open.
- Kitchen chair was broken. Broken bedroom dresser drawer. Kitchen cabinet door that would not shut.
- Black mold on bottom of shower curtain
- Rooms not nearly as bright as shown on website pictures
- Mold on back of air conditioner (outside room)
- Kitchen area just big enough for 1 person. Big coffee maker takes up all counter space.
- Main gazebo in front room not been cleaned or touched in months by staff. There are 2 bird nests clearly visible on the roof beams. Rusty curtain bar.
-Toilet is very low to ground. Hard for us older people to get up when finished. How about installing a grab bar.
- Fire stick tv does not get local tv stations. Since others have signed into Firestick it is impossible to watch most channels as the previous accounts do not allow you to sign in. I was able to sign in using my Netflix account. Could not watch naything Amazon related.
-Just because The Seagrove has supposed "fancy' bathroom soaps and a "fancy" matress does not make it luxury.
- Absolutely no management presence to discuss these issues with anyone while staying there. Could not ask anyone there about refunds. There is no one there. They have a little hut in front of property that could be manned a couople hours a day but they chosse to go the absentee route.
- Paid $435/night , $2176 for 4 nights including taxes, pet charge, un-refunded early check in, un-refunded cleaning charge. I would have not paid more than $200/night for what we got.

- Chunglie (9/5): It will be perfect if the weather was good - Beautiful property and lovely room
Great location, close to everything you need Slow internet
- O6813CRchrisr (10/5): New outer Cape go to spot - Pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. It's set back from the main road, quiet, peaceful and quaint. Love the Cape feel with all the nice little touches. Here for the 4th and our Deluxe King Suite is spacious and the kitchenette has all that we need for our stay. Checked in on Monday... by Tuesday afternoon the landscape was just done over by the new owners and really makes this place shine!
- Rebecca (8/5): Nice cottage for a small group. Property is tucks away from Route 6 and the outdoor space is nice - Quiet, cute and cozy
- Stay307041 (10/5): Dog friendly! Warm hospitality!! - Loved our stay! Perfect mid Cape location for exploring with our two dogs! Warm hospitality from the new owners! Clean and well appointed room with all amenities that you need. Sweet but small kitchen which we didn’t use but it had everything you would need.
- MntnNja517 (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here. It is conveniently located central to many of the places along the Cape that we wanted to visit. We loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We are planning another trip at the end of the summer, and we look forward to staying with you again. There was nothing that we didn't like
- Jennifer (10/5): - Very quaint, cozy property and rooms. Lots of nice decorative details made it feel updated and cared for. Cute little kitchen with all you needed to prepare food. Great location to beaches, restaurants, walking, etc. Perfect spot for larger family and friend gatherings. Would definitely stay there again.
- QNSBRY (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay here. It is conveniently located central to many of the places along the Cape that we wanted to visit. - lindainmadison (6/5): Rustic with some updates - location biggest benefit - I always caveat my reviews with “look for other input beyond TripAdvisor before booking”. Also be self-aware of your travel style. Do you like a hotel with someone available 24/7 or are you OK with being independent without someone accessible at all hours. Are you OK without housekeeping and a concierge? I selected this for its price point and location. It enabled me to travel 35 minutes north to see sites including Provincetown and 40 minutes west and south to see sites including Chatham and Hyannis. Originally I was considering taking a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard, but changed my mind.
I stayed in a king suite with a mini kitchen and a very tiny (emphasize very) bathroom. The suite was super clean. While it has some updates and including flooring and paint, there is still that slight musty old cabin/sea smell. If you know, you know. Oh, and there are instructions about not using the microwave and toaster and the same time. That’s fair. It’s an older place.
The king suite would not be one for two large people, especially if you have a larger dog. I don’t get the indentations on each side of the bed? Is that the mattress? Anyway, there certainly isn’t room for two people to cook together or be anywhere near the bathroom at the same time getting ready if you want to save time. Just be aware, if that is your thing.
Lastly, there is a in-window air conditioner, which is fine, but it is very loud and does not keep the room consistently cool. An inexpensive, small fan would be a bonus.
Again these things may not bother you. Only you know what you need on vacation.
There is a pool and outdoor grills, hammocks, lounge furniture and a fire pit. Those things were not important to me, and in hindsight I would have picked another locale thinking about it. But, I booked about a year ahead so at the time I wasn’t sure if it would be.
Lastly, without warning the ownership changed just days before I arrived with no communication regarding it.
I only found out when I was on site because there were no property instructions in the suite, and the Wi-fi went out, so I needed to communicate with the caretakers. I noticed at that time the welcome email with the door lock code was signed by individuals other than those we booked with. The lack of awareness was clunky, and slightly unnerving, but if you’ve traveled at all you should know to be prepared for the unexpected.
If you do want to pick up groceries there is a big Stop and Stop grocery about 4 minutes away next to a TJ Maxx. There is a binder in the room, and I checked a few places out, but I liked this big grocery. Also found inexpensive shirts and sweatshirts there instead of a tourist trap (an old technique I have used for 20 years).
Overall, it was clean but for my travel style just average, but it is definitely a place worthwhile to stay if you prefer to make meals and spend time in a yard, versus driving around the Cape visiting different communities.
- Alisha (10/5): Great for long weekends with the family - We stayed a long weekend pre season at the seagrove and were very happy with our choice. We had the two bedroom suite with our infant and dog and there was enough room for all of us comfortably and allowed us a place to hang out after our baby went to bed.
In warmer weather we definitely would have enjoyed the chairs outside our room, the yard games and the pool all the amenities were clean and well maintained.
We would definitely stay here again in a future trip to the cape.

Ansonsten alles super.
- Jane (8/5): - Good sized room. Lovely large comfortable bed. Hosts were very organised and helpful.
