• Brenda (7/5): - Staff were very friendly. Cleanliness could have been better. The tub should be replaced. It was pretty warned down. I certainly would not consider having a bath. We would have enjoyed having another garbage can, instead of just the small one in the bathroom. There were 3 of us and only enough towels for 2 people.
• Monika (7/5): - The room was clean, the floors are not carpeted which was nice to see, furniture was adequate and the linens were fresh and acceptable. It was a pleasant surprise Bathroom is dated, it was clean, towels are thin and bathtub needs updating.
• Barbara (9/5): - Spacious room with very comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, little table and two chairs were convenient to have. Very clean room and bathroom. Vinyl flooring so no smelly carpet. For fresh air you can open the window backing up to the farm fields. You can drive 25 min to Rondeau Provincial Park and Greenview Zoo in Morpeth. Also it is 1h drive to Point Pelee National Park. I know it is standard to have one luggage rack but I wish there two racks provided so one of us wouldn't have to keep our bags on the floor. Or perhaps little Ikea side table ($15 only) to keep bag off the floor would greatly help.

• Sara (10/5): - Way cleaner than other motels. Quiet and the beds were so comfortable. Felt like a cloud in the family bedroom 2 of the beds that is. The 3rd bed was also good. Will rebook at this motel from here on. The tv was standing which was great to use a Roku stick. Very pleased indeed overall. The owner lady was very pleasant. I really liked her. I recommend colonial motel. Thank you.

A/C was too small for a two queen bed room, room didn't get cool. Other than that, there was a fridge, a microwave, a tv, coffee maker. Hot water, clean room and toilets. • Mark (5/5): You get what you pay for. - No breakfast was offered. Room was freezing when we arrived. Hodt said to turn heat up all the way, which we did and left it for the day and all night. Took quite awhile to get warm. We had a 2 queen bed room bit only one chair inside, found another chair outside of room to bring in. Parking lot was a bit slick also with ice and a bit of snow. It was ok but will avoid if we can in the future. Host was also nice to talk to. See above..

• Daniel (10/5): - Stayed in the Family Room as there was 5 of us altogether. We were looking for an inexpensive stay overnight. We had a fishing charter boat trip booked for the next day. Easy check-in and very friendly staff. I asked if we could check out a bit earlier in the morning and it wasn’t an issue. Parked directly in front of the room. It was quiet at night, was able to get a good night’s sleep. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Would definitely be my first choice when back in Chatham, and financially it was an fantastic deal. There was nothing I didn't like. As an older motel it was in the best condition it could have been.

• Carol (9/5): Great value for a clean and comfortable night’s stay. - The motel was located in a very quiet area. There was actually a field behind the motel. We appreciated being away from the main flow of busy traffic. The motel was very clean. It is very basic, but a great price, very friendly staff and clean and comfortable. The motel is not updated, but this did not bother us because it was very clean and quiet. The price was very reasonable so we were not expecting anything too fancy.

Nose tissues being unavailable, the outside door not locking like the inside door, peeling paint and the need for a re-asphalting of the bumpy, sometimes stony roadway around the facility.

• Donald (6/5): - When we arrived at the hotel, our room we requested was not ready, apparently under repairs, They sent us to another motel not to far away.at 10 pm, The other place room was small wall outlets were loose, the shower was way to low, etc.. a good thing it was aplace to sleep for 1 night.

• Shari (8/5): Outdated but super clean!! - This was a good stop for a clean cheap stay. Owners were prompt getting us checked in and out. I personally wouldn’t stay for an extended stay but good for passing through.
• chris (4/5): - well, when we checked in the owner was very friendly and accommodating bnecause we were very late. the room had an insect in it that disappeared when we turned the light on. there was mascara on one of the pillows, and neither of us wear it . the paint was chipped and flaking. silicon caulking was used more of an accent statement and not just a sealant. roomwas not really clean and the tv remote was wrapped in plastic with scotch tape but did work. informed owner about insect the next morning and his response was " ok thank you. we're not happy and will not be staying there again.

• Dave (8/5): All the basics and an accommodating host. - Had just about everything I could want. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, lots of hot water and overall spotless. Having a coffee maker, fridge and microwave was a nice touch, along with a good flat screen TV and decent channel selection was appreciated. Only thing I could have liked was a hair dryer, but really did not miss it.
