Guest Reviews
- christina (10/5): - It’s a small room but for us it was a great sleeping pod. So convenient. Walking to great restaurants, metro next door, Luxembourg gardens right there. Very pleasant
- Nick (8/5): - Easy to get around!
- Katherine (6/5): Small, noisy but otherwise lovely - Nice hotel but very small space and the location is such that it’s very noisy. No AC so had to leave the windows open.
- patricia (2/5): - Worst Hotel in Paris.
- Simone (8/5): - No plugs by the beds which is very inconvenient.
The shower looks big, but the door can't open much because it bumps against the sink. Large people won't fit. We're "average" sized and had to slink in and out of the shower.
- Nicolas (8/5): - Rapport qualité prix pas très bon, chambre propre, voilà …
- Antonio (10/5): - We got early to leave our backpacks and they were nice enough to do an early check in without us asking for it. Staff is really nice.
- Stephane (2/5): - Rooms are very small and they price gauged during the Olympics for what it was. Expedia allowed booking a 2 bed room for 3 people.
- Elaine (8/5): - I liked that the property was very close to the metro line, also many choice of restaurants were close by. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning so in August it could get very uncomfortable at night, although there was a fan in the room this didn’t help much. A stronger fan would have helped
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great experience fantastic location would return
- Santosh (8/5): Good budget hotel with very convenient location - Very convenient location. Elevator is slow and very tiny, but there is one! If you need AC, you are out of luck. Opening the windows help. Table in room is really really tiny. Staff is wonderful. Would stay here again if I travel solo
- Mary (6/5): - Even by Paris standards, this room was small. The desk clerks didn’t seem to know what they were doing. But, worst of all, it was very warm. The rooms have NO air conditioning- there were no vents in the room. So either you keep the windows open and have the lights and noise of the city, or you close the windows and curtains, and melt. This was early June - can’t imagine the real summer.
- Paul (10/5): - Friendly staff, decent food great location right next to the port royal train station
- Scott (8/5): - Safe location, easy to walk to all the monuments, very nice and accommodating staff. Especially the lovely man who worked the breakfast bar in the mornings. Previous reviews said it was really loud but we did not find this to be the case at all. The rooms have been very much updated compared to previous pictures. And a good sized room for Europe.
- Jasmine (8/5): - Nice hotel! The room is definitely very small and there is no AC, but the hotel is nice and the staff is friendly. It is well located
- Mark (10/5): Short stay - Short stay, all round excellent experience, would use again.
- Katrina (10/5): - The staff here are so helpful and welcoming. They helped us find places to eat, helped us with figuring out the metro system, and made us feel so welcome. The room was surprisingly quiet as well considering it was overlooking a busier street. If we ever get the opportunity to return to Paris we will absolutely rebook a stay here.
- Melanie (4/5): - The room was not as shown on pictures. Unsafe as people could walk into our room! No AC during hot summer nights and couldn’t keep the windows open due to safety. Shower was leaking. They close the hotel at night and we had to bang like crazy on the door to wake up to staff so we could get in after midnight. I do not recommend this hotel even though the staff was nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Only if desperate for a shelter sadly. - Not pleasant at all. Photos could be from a totally different hotel. It’s a big echo building, every noise, word, tap, toilet noise can be heard as if there were no walls. Very drab rooms with no furniture/paintings up which is probably why the whole place is so echoey and noisy as nothing inside to absorb noise. Had to love from first room as very strange loud noise coming from bathroom that was heard into the other rooms on the floor. Moved to another floor and mayswell been in the same room as everyone on that floor…other guests weren’t loud at all, there is just no sound proofing at all.
Breakfast was leftovers I imagine from day before, and far from edible. Shower floods bathroom, nice hot and string though, but just floods, most room s have hand held shower so I was ‘fortunate’ was moved to one with shower so that was a plus ;) We are aware Paris hotels are very unpredictable but this was prob worst experience. Luckily was just 1 night and just thought at least roof over head but only book 1 night if desperate.
- Hailey (4/5): - The bathroom was not as clean as expected and was a bit run down. It was a convenient location for a night or two but wouldn't stay longer than that.
- Omar (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay! Great and helpful staff! Allowed us to check in early. Great atmosphere! Excellent location to take metro throughout Paris. Also, great eateries around that are more for locals than tourist. It was the best of both worlds!
- Helena (8/5): - Great value for a clean, basic hotel room in an amazing location. Building is nice and staff were very friendly.
- kelly (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very accommodating, professional and very helpful and friendly.
- Sheri (10/5): - Excellent location steps from the RER B line. (We could literally see the platform from our window.) Friendly staff. We did not try the breakfast. [There is a bakery just down the street (walk past the metro station a quarter mile and it's on the left) with excellent breads and pastries. We got breakfast there for under $5.] Restaurants nearby. This is a more residential area with fewer tourists. We would absolutely stay here again.
- Nick (10/5): Great location, great value! - The hotel was as described with accurate photos. Everything was clean. Receptionists were all friendly and welcoming. Rooms are tight as to be expected. Location is great with easy access to the RER.
- Nelda (8/5): - The single room is very small, but the location and staff were very nice. Definitely works well for solo travelers staying for a night or 2.
- John (10/5): - We loved this hotel and had no complaints!
- Nabil (8/5): - Great for its proximity to rer station
- Hedy (6/5): - The staff here was incredible and the location wasn’t bad. Other than that, pretty poor. Mainly lacked in amenities and cleanliness. Expedia page said there was a bar but there wasn’t, didn’t have a mini fridge in room or access to a fridge, no mini bar in room or anything like that. Our duvet cover had holes in it and the room was just overall a bit dirty. Has 6 floors but elevator only goes up to 5 so had to lug our luggage up last flight without help. Lastly, hotel was very hot so I was pretty uncomfortable. Overall, if you’re looking for somewhere in this location and don’t intend on spending much time in hotel, it’s not too bad. Staff is very nice and will do as much as they can to accommodate you but didn’t seem to have the resources.
- Dania (2/5): - This is not a 3-star hôtel it doesn’t even deserve 1. Avoid it. You can pay for something way better than this place. The pictures online don’t look anything like the actual room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They do not help. Don’t answer mails. I am really disappointed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was very well located, clean, and the staff was very nice but we had to struggle one night with a bad heater, so the room was very cold all night. The problem was fixed the next day, the staff was very nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice location. Very tiny room. Toilet was so that you had to sit sideways to use because it didn’t fit in the bathroom. Fine for the price. Staff is awesome!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the hotel is across the road from the RER direct to CDG and Orly airports. It is near good eating places and is clean and comfortable.
- Jessica (8/5): - From our attic Ernest Hemmingway suite, we had a view of the Eiffel Tower.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is in good location , very close to the Metro. It is clean and neat
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I loved it! Super friendly and awesome beautiful view! Everything was closed by and right next to the Metro!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely hotel overall as long as you just need a clean room.
Note the amenities in their description: there no mention of tea or coffee facilities, ironing boards and so on. It’s a simple room, probably small, with the basics. It’s clean, the beds are comfy, the location is pretty good (25 mins walk to notre damne and next to a metro station and the Luxembourg gardens) and there’s some nice restaurants nearby.
It’s clean and simple and if that’s what you need, go for it with confidence.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location. We had the top floor, Terraces were interconnected, but the two doors to our terrace did not lock. Shower curtain was so long that it made taking a shower in the tub difficult. Shower nozzle attachment holder on wall was broken, making it difficult to shower with two hands. Overall, probably a nice hotel, these might just be issues with our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location easy access to metro rail restaurants
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location of the hotel was good, next to a metro station (incl., RER B), however my room was a bit noisy because of noise coming from the street in early mornings. Room was clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice Hotel, close to walk to the Latin Quarter, Latin Quarter, restaurants.
Clean, friendly staff. Would recommend this place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great, good location, comfortable bed very clean, perfect for our overnight stay. Would definitely return.
- Kathy (10/5): - The property was very clean and the staff friendly. The room was listed as small and it was true that it was very small. There is no AC as far as I could tell.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was very clean and towels changed daily. However, no air conditioning, no tea/ coffee making facilities, no bar although on web site states there is one. A couple of the reception staff rather unhelpful and not too friendly.
- Chelsey (2/5): Awful hotel, worst in Paris. - There was a heat wave in Paris and we were given an attic room that was over 100 F when we arrived. We asked the hotel worker for a fan as we just saw him giving out fans to other guests, he said no. We had the highest room in the hotel and the hottest and were refused a fan. We asked to be moved to a lower level as there were many vacancy’s at the hotel and were told no again. My friend had to be hospitalized after our stay. It was the equivalent to being left in a hot car with all of the windows rolled up. We were forced to move hotels and were refused any type of refund. We are considering taking legal action against this hotel, it was inhumane and cruel.
- Patrick (4/5): - Great location and across the street from the Metro station.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is good enough for the location and the price. It is close to the railway station.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The best location possible: at the exit of the RER; but the staff is not very helpful so if you travel for business, keep your expectations down.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff, great location. It was perfect for a 2 nights trip to Paris.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location..,seedy area of town. Other than that it was excellent!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent fun location, clean, decent breakfast and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a clean, nice, basic hotel with great location. Port Royal RER station is only steps away which makes it very easy to acces airports and other parts of the city.
- Carl (8/5): A few days in Paris - It's a 2 star do didn't expect luxury. Shower should have a glass door instead of curtains but it was clean simple plain. Bed was comfortable.
