- Anthony (10/5): Try this place, You won't be disappointed - Newly refurbished rooms with Seaview are beautiful, Warm and Cosy with complimentary water and a great range of Hot drinks and biscuits.
Great shower with shower gel and nice soft towels. The new owners really have started to turn this hotel around and we'll definitely be staying again. Spacious Lounge area with stunning sea views to have a G&T from the fully stocked bar is really nice aswell, Very reasonable bar prices too! We stay in Blackpool lots and The Santa Maria will be our new go to Hotel.
- Alastair (10/5): - Good modern room, very clean with good heating and a comfortable bed. Nice spacious hot shower with soft towels.
You can purchase a breakfast in the morning which was nice.
The staff are really nice and accommodating who went out their way to help me.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Everything was excellent
- Nina (9/5): Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable great staff, will be back again. - Met at reception and was helped to our room with our bags. The room was bright and airy. Lovely and clean with a sea view. Plenty of storage space and ample plug sockets. Shower room looked brand new and modern. There was kettle and a tea/coffee tray with complimentary biscuits and bottles of water . We booked our breakfast for the next morning. All staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again. We were one of the last guests down for breakfast, we ordered full English. It was a bit dry apart from freshly cooked fried eggs.
- Joy (10/5): Excellent - Location and car park Nothing really
- Jitka (9/5): Great choice - Great staff! The location worked for us very well. I enjoyed the sea view. There were some minor maintenance issues, it did not affect my stay though. The shower space was very tiny.
- Bellamy (10/5): would stay again. - The staff was amazing, so cheerful. Breakfast was great. Room was spotless and comfy beds.
- aileen (5/5): Average. - Floor needed hoovered in bedroom.
One Lift not working. Booked due to needed lift.
- Maxwell (6/5): -
- Peter (10/5): -
- Colin (4/5): Sorry but won’t be going back - The owner and evening guy were both descent guys Not as advertised, no evening entertainment, no buffet breakfast, television didn’t play Freeview (no signal) breakfast wasn’t very good I’m afraid
- Phil (8/5): Parfait - Emplacement idéal au bord de la plage, proche du centre. Hotel simple mais propre et fonctionnel. Excellent petit déjeuner Parfait rien à dire
- James (7/5): -
- Jamie (7/5): Cheap and cheerful - Close to centre and prom
- AlIREZA (9/5): Good place and the sea front room - It was OK for the price we paid for..the most important thing was the most welcoming place and very kind and amazing staff and the manager Very welcoming and very friendly place 😊
- Mcnulty (8/5): -
- ciaran (10/5): -
- Claire (8/5): - The room, the view was perfect sea view as requested. Staff was very polite, and we felt welcomed once we checked in, lets us park up as we was early. No mini fridge to store cold water, no iron, towels were two small if was having a shower only small enough for wash at the sink.
Also asked for rooms to be closer to each other which I thought be next door or few doors down but my sister was on the first floor and we was on second.
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Ian (5/5): In time probably a really lovely hotel but for now, perhaps not. - This is a difficult review to write as I want to say positive and kind things about the hotel.. and I can, to a degree. Firstly you have to accept and understand that the 'new' owners are at the start or middle of renovations - work that is clearly required - so I cannot say much about the 'quality' of the room or the degree of comfort presently given. That, of course will alter over time but for now it fails to provide any form of grace with a bedroom that was sadly rather poor. BUT, the position is excellent- a direct sea view - the hotel is all quiet - and the value for money is extraordinary. A lovely breakfast let down only by poor staffing who seemed overwhelmed by the amount of guests on a bank holiday weekend so breakfast was announced 'given' as being at 9am but people had already eaten and left by the time we came down but even so, forty minutes went by and no one came to take our order, offer tea or even acknowledge we were there. I had to 'wave' across a room with other guests frustrated at being ignored and eventually I had to go to the kitchen to ask for attention BUT the two young waiters were 'out of their depth' ..YET, the food was really GOOD! Would I stay again? Yes, but in a while after 'things' had settled down and refurbishment done...BUT, the owner and staff were doing as much as they could given what they had to 'work' with so if you are prepared for 'not up to date' rooms and want a splendid breakfast AND friendly staff, stay here. Its great value for money. The room I had was very tired. Headboards pulled away from the wall. A sloping room that left me reeling towards one corner and very 'basic' amenities. Just acceptable.
- McKenna (6/5): -
- John (10/5): - Fantastic team across the board, sea view on the top floor was lush. Chef put on a great breakfast, all in all, a great stay that was just a minute or 2 away from the tower 😃
- Sean (8/5): - Great location,friendly staff
- Rodney (8/5): -
- Ismaeel (10/5): -
- Antony (10/5): Value for money friendly hotel - The owner was very sociable polite and friendly. He took the time out to interact with us making sure our stay was what we was wanting it to be. Breakfast was very nice as we're the staff who served us all in all a very nice hotel would definitely stay again. Thank you to all at the Santa Maria I cant say I experienced anything i didn't like if im honest
- Dave (9/5): -
- Suzat067 (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Owners very welcoming and go above and beyond. Limited free parking but parking accessible nearby. Would definitely recommend.
- Paul (10/5): Loved every minute off our stsy - Excellent very well presented Bought straight to us
- Barry (8/5): Nice break - Good location free parking Still appear to be settling in after a recent takeover
- Paula Wellings (6/5): - Hotel team and location great. Guests staying at the hotel being very noisy during the night into the early hours of the morning- this was dow to guest who were in Blackpool for Young Farmers Weekend
- Chris (2/5): -
- Natasha (5/5): Ok for one night - Location was perfect and breakfast was very good Got to the hotel at 5:45pm, check in was from 3pm. They still didn’t have the room ready so had to sit for 45 minutes for the room to be made. The room wasn’t very clean when we got in. The bathroom was dirty with hair and stains in the sink and shower and the carpet in the room was not vacuumed.
- Kelly (10/5): - Having a bad experience in our previous hotel, we called at around 10pm to see if there were any rooms. We then booked and made our way to the hotel within 30 minutes. The room was ready and the key was already waiting for us. The staff were very kind and the room was clean and warm. There were chocolates and bottled water by the kettle which was an added bonus. We would definitely stay again
- amanda-jane (10/5): Great stay and location - It was a lovely clean room & staff were very accommodating... View from the room was fab The pressure in room 235 shower wasnt great but workable, other than that no complaints
- Steel (6/5): Adequate - Breakfast okay Very small room and overly hot radiator
- Simon (2/5): Good location but a dreadful hotel. Won’t be going back. - Location was ideal. Fire alarm going off, breakfast was dreadful, shower was like a drip, tv didn’t work.
- Mandy (5/5): -
- marie (7/5): Quick over night stay - We had a 1 night stay cheap enough location was perfect for us near the tower free car park definitely a bonus staff couldn’t do enough for you they were lovely bed I would recommend getting a new mattress as it was dipped in. No hot water running in are room therefore cold wash. Room was cold but gave us a radiator to use which was perfect. We didn’t have a beach view but wasn’t in the room long enough 5-10 min work to town & tower Staff & locations
- Alan wishaw (9/5): - Room upgrade with sea view at no extra cost staff extremely helpful good value for money Nothing
- Raby (7/5): - There was only 2 members of staff that we saw and they were Steve and the young man in dining room. Our room was not serviced once while we were there.. we had to asking for tea bags. The room wasn't checked once no bed making or cups washed. Very disappointing.
- GEOFF (10/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): Showaddy. - Good location.staff were lovely.declan the owner very nice . breakfast good.highly recommend. All was good.
- Tracey (9/5): -
- Winoange (10/5): - Absolutely gorgeous and friendly staff 😍 ❤️ xx
- Anne (1/5): - It was just a stroll into the Town. I booked it because the web site said evening entertainment, bingo and buffet breakfast, we had neither. I paid for six breakfasts when we arrived which was £60. First morning we waited 50 minutes and when it arrived it was just warm, bacon uneatable and was all wrong, one of the staff said in front of other guests " we haven't got you down for breakfast have you paid" which was really rude. Outside door locked every evening at 11pm made me feel like a naughty teenager again had to ring bell, should have a key. They need to update their web site as at this moment it's false advertising. Will not stay there again.
- Joyce (7/5): Staff lovely once you get the breakfast sorted would be good - Was moved room no problem but the heating needs sorting out as it is over heating and no way to turn it down like an over during the night Breakfast terrible had to send it back as it was cold .. your playing up before hand keeping it warm under a hot stove no acceptable no fresh fruit
- Gary (9/5): - Location was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful. and accommodating
Breakfast was excellent cereal and cooked full English.
Would stay there again Radiators on most of the night. Though I was able to turn them down after first night
- J (8/5): - Sea view from the sun terrace and restaurant were lovely. Nice place to have their cooked breakfast. We were able to park our car on their front area. The staff were very helpful and friendly
- Neil (8/5): Great stay quiet and very central - Quiet It’s a bit of a maze
- Sandra (5/5): -
- Chris (8/5): -
- Christian (10/5): Quick, easy, pleasant and affordable - Very reasonable price Slightly further along the coast than I wanted to be, but still a very good location
- Gary (2/5): Bad don’t book here - Location and ability to park Was so run down and the trek to the room gave me anxiety if was an emergency how would I get out, the room was very small the curtains hanging off although the guy did try to fix them but failed they were very thin as well, there was a dirty beer glass under the chair, stains on the chair as well, the mattress was so thin and old everything was old and worn out and needed replacing, the staff did their best but didn’t even offer a partial refund I refused to stay and am surprised people do stay-I went the premier inn, I lost money but for my own comfort
- Steven (8/5): Nice and cheap for what I needed it for , I’d definitely stay again - Just the location , easy to find , clean It was all ok
- Dunsran (9/5): Very warm welcome I wish the new owner every success he has surpassed the previous owner already - Friendly
- Don (9/5): Perfect and easy - Great price N.a
- Kassam (10/5): I recommend the hotel to anyone,my stay was comfortable - Location Not sure
- KEN (7/5): -
- Lee (10/5): Everything we needed for a comfortable stay - Breakfast was nice full english fast and efficient Was happy all round
- Beverly (10/5): -
- Becky (9/5): Nice comfy stay and good value for money - I liked the hotel view from the seating area downstairs. The cleanliness of the room was very good. Little touches like the bottled water and chocolate left in the room was very welcoming. The staff were wonderful too.
- ALISON (6/5): Hotel fine for a short stay - Friendly helpful staff. Cosy comfy bed. Tasty breakfast. Great location. Free parking. Nice welcome package with water and chocolate. Hotel is great for a short stay and I would go back again. Reasonable price for what you get The pictures on booking.com are from when the previous owners had it. The new owners are making some much needed changes but this will take time. The bathroom in room needs upgraded. The room was clean but not spotless. Housekeeping done every other day. Reception happy to give extra towels, tea bags etc. They also have hairdryers.
- Gem (3/5): -
- J (9/5): -
- Lindsay (10/5): -
- Wright (10/5): - The staff were lovely and very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were clean and had everything needed the bed was really comfy too. It was ideal location and parking was a massive yes for me !! The food was lovely.
Over all I would definitely recommend and will be going back. Great value for money !!!
- Tracey (10/5): Great family time - The hotel is under going refurbishment but didnt impact our stay . its clean, on the beach front and near the centre great location really . The staff are friendly steve colin declan and the other night Porter ( Peter) i think made u feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Prices are very reasonable I recommend given this hotel a try. We will definitely be back thanks again It can be to hot in certain areas
- Susan (9/5): - Great location
- Brummy (9/5): Very enjoyable stay only one night. Hotel is well worth a visit. - Very close to North Pier for any shows, also close to funny Girls and the main night life. Other than lots of steps to be aware of in the accommodation. Only 1 step up and very well marked.
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect for a one night or short stay in Blackpool - Booked a single and the very nice gentleman on reception upgraded me to a double at no extra charge , very hospitable , old school hospitality rare these days Nothing to dislike
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -
- Charles Doumani (7/5): -
- karl (5/5): A good start but still lots of improvements needed - The warm Welcome you get from Declan is good and the Location is good with great sea views. The hotel needs more refurbishment as it still looks tired inside and out. They need to rethink the night-time access into the hotel as the system they have now is failing.
- Shabaz (8/5): - I'm glad I gave this hotel another chance, as when I visited for the first time, they had just acquired it, and we're having work done to it. The setup is now a lot better and nicer. Nothing to say
- John (9/5): -
- Rosaleen (4/5): - Location not to far Rooms very dated
Carpets very dirty
Rooms smelt musty
- Lesley (9/5): - Staff very friendly nice and clean Room was so hot
- ciara (8/5): - Staff was nice location good and good breakfast
- Po Kuen (9/5): - The first night was fine to sleep in but the radiator was not working. Only the one that was in the hallway but the reception was able to give me a different room and that room was warm and better. The shower room was a bit small. You can only squat in the shower and there’s no room to bend down. And somehow the electric shower when it was first installed by the previous company has the dial back to front. The ‘on’ position was facing the ‘eco’ and the ‘hot’ is cold and ‘cold’ is hot.
- Turmaz (10/5): - Nice and warm friendly
- Rod (5/5): - Bedroom and the see view Breakfast and needs a new front door
- Jamie (9/5): -
- Jéssica (2/5): The hotel looked nothing like the photos, and the uncomfortable bed left me with a sore back. - Location The room did not match the description. Selling something is not true. Even if is going to be refurbished then provide truthful pictures
- Joanne Alice (7/5): Good value - 10 minutes walk to Blackpool centre Access at night was difficult
- Graham (8/5): The hotel is well situated. The new owners are obviously determined to give guests an enjoyable stay - The breakfast was good. I have a problem with mobility that required some help from the staff. The staff were excellent, very supportive and patient. They made me very welcome and did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable. Nothing
- lyn (10/5): - Everything it was a lovely friendly hotel and staff was great lovely people will definitely stay there again . Nothing
- Jonathan (7/5): - Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff. Will return
- Stephen (10/5): Good value and great location, friendly staff - Very friendly staff, my single room was big and had a see view. I will be booking again shortly. Nothing, it is being renovated at the moment and will be better when its done. I was aware of this before i booked. Didn’t affect my stay at all.
- Stephen (10/5): - Good location, room good 👍 Shower small and not much pressure.
- Catherine (4/5): We enjoyed Blackpool but was not aware tha it was under refurbishment - It was good location breakfast was good The rooms were far to hot
- Jonathan Patrick (7/5): -
- Christian (10/5): Short and sweet, but comfortable bed, clean and a great spot - Does what it says in the tin. Nice little welcome tray, all the usual tea/coffee plus bottled water, nibbles and chocolate. 10am check out is a little early, 11am would be nice. I’m sure that’s arrangeable tho if you ask. I just didn’t think to.
- Marcin (3/5): -
- JIANMEI (6/5): 位置不错,适合穷游 - 早上还不错,虽然是点的一人一份,但是不够了,还可以加 设施比较陈旧,卫生有待改进
