Guest Reviews
- Diana (8/5): The essence of Solo in one hotel - Lovely heritage feel and great central location Nothing
- Olivier Johannes (9/5): Midden in de stadsdynamiek - Locatie midden in de stad, nabij diverse markten en winkels. Veel bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. Uitstekend restaurant.
- Hagrid (8/5): We enjoy the stay and the vicity of the hotel to places to visit. - For a two-stars Hotel it is quite nice and comfortable. The Hotel also has a fridge so you can put your bottles of water there to cool them. The location is very strategic. In front of it you have the Mangkunegaran palace. Visit it, and you also get a guide. The Hotel is also close to Kauman batik village, where you can check out batiks, and also do few hours batik making workshop. There is also an anitique market just behind the hotel. Pasar Gede is close. You can walk though using a Grab taxi is probably better. The Hotel can use newer towels. And the bathroom can use some lime removal work. But well.. for a two stars hotel it's acceptable.
- Inès (8/5): Nice - Our stay was nice!
All the facilities are good, the location was perfect and the staff was very helpful.
- Luke (5/5): - Good location. Very noisy at night with music downstairs and market on street. No flexibility with extra bed and staff not very friendly.
- Marina (7/5): Beautiful but a bit rough around the edges - Loved the friendly staff and the design of the rooms. It was nice to sit on the terrace as well. The AC worked well and the location was outstanding. Since there are so many positives, I feel it's a real shame for the management to have let the property fall into disrepair. The rooms are gorgeous but they are falling apart. Renovation is essential, in both the bedroom and the bathroom. If that happens, it would be my pleasure to stay here again.
It's often tricky to contact reception as it is not staffed for hours on end. Maybe you could share a contact number on checkin to get in touch when you're elsewhere. I had to ask the bar staff to find the hotel staff a couple of times and that's obviously not ideal.
- Keith (10/5): Highly recommended - Great location heaps of places to eat and near many of the city attractions. The Friday and Saturday market on the street outside is not to be missed. The staff are lovely that Hotel has a beautiful heritage ambience. That we couldn’t stay longer
- Chandra (7/5): Location & staffs were great - Location Room needs more lighting, bathroom also needed better lighting. Towel looked old
- Henry (8/5): Very good - Heritage and close to everywhere Alone, maybe it was not in the weekend
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Silvia (9/5): Excellent - Very clean and comfortable bed, coffee tea and water always available in the room, great location No breakfast option
- Tien (10/5): Would definitely return to stay there - The rooms were beautifully decorated. The location was superb and the staff were helpful and friendly. There was live music either in the hotel’s restaurant or a neighbouring restaurant that we could hear from our room every night. Everything was great.
- Martijn (5/5): Cheap place in solo, not bad but I would not stay again - Location is fine and the building is very nice It’s almost as if you are in the street sound wise. Loud music till late from next door and early morning mosque is very loud.
- Erica (7/5): Good - The old buildings had a nice atmosphere. Very dangerous planks on the downstairs veranda. Really the whole place needs refurbishing!
- Seichaku (10/5): Satisfied - Good location and good old feeling Noise from street
- Seichaku (9/5): Relaxed - Good location and good old time feeling
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- Huang (8/5): Very good - Good location, hot water come out at 5 seconds, provide freezer and safety box, and all facilities in need. The first time I visit Omah Sinten at 2017, it was quitely. But now it is become very noisy as the night market close to it, good location but too noisy in night time to sleep.
- Amanda (2/5): Extremely noisy - traffic and late night karaoke - Proximity to centre of town Noise
- Catharina (9/5): Superb -
- Marlena (7/5): Feels like a heritage hotel - Great location and walking distance to many sights and shopping. The room was a good size and decorated in heritage style. Had some amenities in the bathroom. Air-conditioning worked well. Some of the bedding was ragged and well worn. The bathrooms definitely need to be upgraded. The shower head was so corroded that it was falling apart. Cleanliness in the room was ok, but the shower didn't look or feel clean. Fine for a single night stay. Limited food options nearby for breakfast.
- Leonardo (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (6/5): Lovely smattering of old world gave the rooms a rustic charm - Probably the noisiest Sunday night of the year and I was staying there. Not the hotels fault but there was a massive Solo Fair and music fest the night I stayed. Thank god I had ear plugs. I did have a great wander around but the music went on very late.
The room was rustic chic. The amenities were sufficient and made my stay comfortable. There was no breakfast anywhere close to the hotel.
- Johan (8/5): Very good -
- Pudji (5/5): Passable - location in the center of the city
- Thibaud (5/5): Passable -
- Tun (6/5): beautiful place but no aervice at all - location staff not willing and helpful
- Phillip (9/5): Superb -
- Fabio (8/5): Very good - locatio staff mosquitoes
- Dwi (8/5): Excellent location and staff - Location No elevator
- Stonestreet (9/5): Superb -
- Leo (8/5): Very good -
- Heru (9/5): It was a wonderful experience - It's a worth value, considering the price, facility, location, although the Wi-Fi was inactive when I stayed in third floor due to technical problem (based on staff explanation) There is no suitable parking lot, and the Wi-Fi was inactive
- Jonathan (7/5): Good - Very well located, close to the Saturday night market and one of the palaces. Having a restaurant on the property can be usefull. The rooms are big and I really enjoyed the A/C in that heat. Shower needs to be cleaned better. The wifi wasn't strong. I booked because I had a discount, but I wouldn't pay the full price for what you get. It's not bad, but it's not better than other accomodations either.
- Lkamal (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (6/5): - We booked this hotel as we had seen it on a TV programme unfortunately for us one of the main reason we wanted to stay was because of the traditional food in the restaurant which of course was sold out that night. At breakfast the next morning we were told there were out of milk and the delivery truck hadn't arrived yet so no milk for our coffee. The hotel website states there is a spa which there isn't and when asked about getting a massage we were told there were some places in the neighbourhood we could go to. The one thing that was the stand out was the woman who greeted us upon our arrival made us feel at home and welcome. She was the wife of the owner and when she discovered some of the problems we encountered she took our unsatisfactory meal off the bill and promised to right some of the problems with the staff ie slow service, getting service etc.
- Frank (10/5): Great stay. - Great staff and a really nice room in a good location. Easy to get around.
