Guest Reviews
- Abdirizak Haji (10/5): friendly serve claim good position - great service

- alberto (4/5): - You know those places that promise a better room "tomorrow," then only deliver many “ifs” and “maybes”, and never actually move you? Hotel Gloria is one of those.
Before booking, I agreed in person with the hotel on a room upgrade for the next day (money was not an issue). Instead, I spent two days in a moldy room with a half-working sink and a shower that flooded the bathroom. When I finally gave up and left, I still paid the full cancellation fee: the hotel took zero responsibility for the unfulfilled promise (which, as I had agreed with them, is the reason for publishing my honest report of the events).
The staff is generally kind and polite, very much in the Rwandan spirit. One receptionist, however, didn’t act professionally: she hardly ever listened; when I reported a half-flooded bathroom at 9:30 PM, she promised to send someone immediately, then only acted after my third request the next morning; she repeatedly left the front desk unattended (room keys in full reach, guards a floor below and out of sightline - the other receptionist deployed a different strategy). As I was checking out, she had the audacity to mention the promised room had magically become available.
The hotel itself is tastefully decorated in the corridors and stairs and has an interesting architecture. Don't count too much on the stability/speed of the internet connection. My room was minimal, but it stayed cool without AC. The sweaty smell I noticed? Mold, from the periodically flooded bathroom.

- Paul (9/5): - I liked too much the wonderfull welcome. The professionalism of the staff, especially the waiter for the evening. A good guy. Really, my spouse and I enjoyed In principle, the sheets and blankets should be changed every day, but the bed was made without changing the covers.

- Blue_Ocean (10/5): Excellent value, good restaurant with a view. - I like returning to this hotel. It's good value, centrally located, and its restaurant is truly excellent. The restaurant is open to hotel guests only, which Im not sure is an advantage really (you can bring your own guests only), but it is a beautiful terrace with a great view over the bustling streets below. The staff are really great. I would like to specially distinguish Miguel at the reception, who must have been trained at Sheraton at least - the one person there that would certainly fit any five-star hotel in Europe. Then restaurant is really good, especially beef dishes, although you may expect some differences in approach, for example Spaghetti Bolognese I guess should use thicker pasta and the addition of some spices might shock an Italian (cinnamon?). But still very good! The booking.com reservations include a room with a balcony, but not all rooms at this price include one, so make sure you get it while checking in. Nothing. Perhaps only lack of hot water in the shower.
- Olayinka (8/5): - The extra neatness of the room which I stayed. The mattress needs to be changed to orthopaedic bed.

- Adjoa Abrafi Okofo (7/5): My stay was fine - The breakfast was okay; hopefully, more variety would have been better. The room I had was small, but it was changed for me when I requested. The hotel is close to town, allows for more walking to explore the shops available None
- Yassiny (8/5): -
- Chimuka (8/5): -
- James (6/5): -
- Mankoe (1/5): Would not recommend - The property was in the noisy city center which made it difficult to even rest or sleep My entire stay there was terrible from the breakfast to no elevators having to carry my suitcases up the stairs as well as the room not having some items like bedroom slippers, an AC, a good heater and many others
- Julie (10/5): Excellent hotel - The cleanliness, it was exceptional 👌. The noise by the streets. It can be an inconvenience during the day
- Humphrey (5/5): The staffs were good and welcoming - Breaking fast

- Siyu (3/5): Never coming back. - Spacious room. Extremely poor WiFi. Bugs in the room. Not well maintained. Very noisy outside. I stayed for 5 nights and should be partially refunded for all these frustrations.
- Pauline (9/5): A great place to stay if you’re attending a conference in the large hotels on kn3 but want a more local experience. - The location is great. Very easy and pleasant walk to the big hotels / conference centres.
The staff also is very welcoming and helpful, especially Fred the very friendly waiter in the restaurant.

- betty (8/5): Good - Excellent breakfast None
- Oscar Zephy (7/5): Good place stay on a budget within CBD! - It was clean. Right in CBD. Excellent for my late night shopping. Their breakfast had a variety of food. Loved the fruits! The room didn’t have a proper shower.
- Eyere (8/5): Staff were very friendly and helpful. - Breakfast was very good because there was a variety to choose from. Served over a long period of time made breakfast really convenient. More hangers in the wardrobe.
A comfortable chair in the room.
- Ekechukwu (8/5): It was a good stay over all, the staff and breakfast made my stay worthwhile. - The breakfast had a lot of varieties to meet everyone’s preferences. There are no air conditioners in the rooms
- Tommaso (8/5): - Good position, clean
- Hurie (7/5): -
- Tim (8/5): -
- Musie (7/5): - Breakfast was soso ! Ac and the price
- Stella (1/5): Terrible Experience - The food was great, with multiple breakfast options and the lady at the front desk named Ken was friendly and helpful. After my first day there, I ran out of water in my room with now water coming out of the sink & shower and no water to flush the toilet. I reported this to the front desk and was assured that the issue had been resolved. However, the issue persisted into the second day and when I reported the issue to a young man named Dylon at the front desk, who informed me that water shortages are common in Kigali and there was nothing he could do except send up a bucket of warm water to my room for showering. How is this acceptable in a hotel in this day and age?! I escalated the issue to the Manager who apologized and changed my room to one that had running water. I shared my dissatisfaction about the lack of empathy and assistance that I received from Dylan with both him and the Manager, but Dylan remained adamant that there was nothing he could do and maintained a rude and arrogant attitude. The Manager was quick to correct him that water shortages were not a common occurrence in Kigali. Point to note is that I could now not access WiFi in the new room but I persevered because I was due to check out the next day.
- Raymond (9/5): Top - Erg netjes. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Voortreffelijk ontbijt. Helemaal niets.
- James (10/5): -
- Tim (8/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean with a good restaurant. I'll certainly go back again Hotel is a bit dated and certain things didn't work like the power switch in the first room so I asked for another. Then the remote then the TV didn't work.. all not really a problem and the staff were very helpful in trying to resolve but that's why I marked down a bit
- Khumalo (9/5): -
- Manikanta (9/5): - It’s good
- Koinange (1/5): -
- Mpawa Media (10/5): Very amazing stay - Breakfast, room, location and the staff are very friendly.
- Kiprop (7/5): -
- Obudho (2/5): -
- Khaled (5/5): - Location is okay if you need the city center Furniture a bit old not modern , the internet was so bad unstable
the food in the breakfast was not okay
- Christine (10/5): its really an organised place - very delicious and well set up nothing
- ARIKAWE (8/5): Wonderful - Breakfast was great, the room was spacious and had air conditioning. The room was well serviced with soap, shower cap, brush,Toothpaste and hair dryer.
The staff were very friendly. Note that it could get noisy during the day. The property is also very neat Nothing
- Ambachew (8/5): Please address the issues I mentioned in my comment. - The room is clean. The room had no shampoo or slippers, and water was strictly rationed to one bottle per day. The TV screen was too small, and the available channels did not include major news outlets such as Al Jazeera, BBC, or CNN.
- Patience (6/5): I loved Rwanda. It's a clean country and the people are friendly and welcoming. - the breakfast was excellent, the room was clean, though electric jug was not working (maybe it's the switch), the tv channels are not many. The location was good because you one could walk to the shops and also the venue where we were training.
I loved the security guy (Elize)'s welcome. He was very helpfuly Have all gadgets in the room work properly
- Lerato (7/5): Friendly staff - The property offers good breakfast. The staff was kind and always willing to help. Check in was also easy. The place was noisy due to construction taking place close by. The streets were also busy, so if you need a quiet place, it is best to avoid the city center.
- Debra (7/5): Good -
- Kamanga (8/5): Excellent - Fruits Nothing
- Funmi (9/5): I had a fantastic stay. Good food, friendly and helpful staffs. -
- Peter (10/5): - Nice property and nice staff.
- Tolu (5/5): Passable - Very nice location. Clean, very friendly and helpful staff The Internet was poor. Hot water in the taps was erratic.
- Purity (7/5): Average!. Loved it still . Located in the downtown of Kigali - Breakfast was tasty 😋.
The staff? Rebecca at the reception is awesome and Evariste at the breakfast. Very helpful The carpet at the room I was assigned is awful! Torn and looks disgusting… the first time I couldn’t walk freely in my room. The bathroom, small . However, the rest of the room is wonderful. Color coordination on point . Please it’s time to change your worn out carpets .
- Arabella (8/5): Very good - Had a wonderful stay! The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were truly amazing; friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. Would definitely stay again! None for this trip.
- Kara-leigh (3/5): Would not stay there again. - Only the location is the the thing that I liked. Rooms were not very clean and the bar did not have any wine and limited for cocktails.
They did not meet me at the airport as I requested a pickup online.
- Wesley Leopold (10/5): - I recommend this hotel. The staff is great. It’s in area that is very close to many cultural places and local activities. The area is very safe and walking is the best way to see and enjoy.
- Obisike (7/5): It was refreshing. - The breakfast was very good with enough varieties of things to eat. No gym facilities or swimming pool.
- Cuthbert (9/5): Other than the flooding at the shower/toilet room, the stay was very good. - Breakfast was very good. The water from the shower head was flooding the shower/toilet room. This was quite inconveniencing.
- Arthur (8/5): Very friendly hotel - Excellent Breakfast Few English Channel on TV
- Iqbal (8/5): Very good -
