Spacious room and ensuite. Comfy lounge spaces. Lovely breakfast area overlooking the Mekong river. Large filtered water tank for guest use in the courtyard thus reducing plastic waste. Nothing we didn’t like

• Claire (5/5): Extrêmement bruyant, à éviter ! - Le personnel est très sympathique et la localisation de l’hôtel est parfaite pour visiter la ville. Je n’ai jamais sejourné dans une chambre aussi bruyante. Il n’y a aucune isolation : une moustiquaire sans fenêtres c’est comme si on était directement dans la rue. Celle-ci est très passante avec beaucoup de circulation. L’hôtel est situé juste en face d’un restaurant de karaoké, le soir c’est un enfer d’entendre les gens chanter. Le petit déjeuner est tout juste passable.

• Tiffany (9/5): I absolutely recommend and would go again. - Very nice and spacious rooms in a great location! Coffee and tea is provided and the facilities definitely meet the expectations. Staff is also very friendly. There was some dirt from geckos in the bathroom but I guess this is unavoidable in Laos.

Accueil chaleureux, personnel attentif et à l'écoute. Chambre confortable avec balcon privé au 1er étage avec table et chaise face au Mékong, équipée d'un téléviseur, du Wi-Fi, d'un mini-réfrigérateur, d'un coffre-fort. Petit-déjeuner lao de qualité servi en terrasse avec vue plongeante sur le Mékong. Dysfonctionnement du téléviseur : image brouillée quelle que soit la chaîne. La lampe principale et les lampes de chevet sont de trop faible intensité, rendant la lecture difficile le soir.

• Kyoko (6/5): Could be a great hotel by the river with a little renovation and proper management. - The mattresses were very comfortable. The old school furniture was stylish and in general the wooden decoration was very nice. The location The sleeping pillows were too thick. The shower too small and difficult to close the sliding doors. Curtains not thick enough and letting in night lights and sunshine. The rooms too noisy, especially the first night with our room facing the river and the main road with constant traffic going up and down and only single glazed windows. In fact one small window has no glass and only bamboo weavings. The place was generally very dusty. The rooms were clean but the plants and the small balcony with chairs were all covered in dust. I guess the owners are no longer bothered to actually run the place anymore.

• Diane (8/5): I would stay again.The staff are really kind and helpful. - The location is great. On the peninsula and can walk to many restaurants and the night market. This was my second time to stay there. I liked everything. My room was upstairs and very quiet.

My booking was without breakfast, but I stayed another three nights as part of a tour group and enjoyed the breakfast then. It was very good and nice to sit outside. Room was spacious and clean and I appreciated the free water. Staff were helpful and carried my bags. Can't think of anything. Would definitely recommend.

Wi-fi signals can go down sometimes. Western style breakfast options are limited but that was common in Luang Prabang.

The staff were not particularly friendly, and cleaning staff annoyed we didn't go out before 10.30am. We thought it was a bit expensive and found better in the area.

• Igor (8/5): Very good - It's very good location and comfortable room there. It's not historical interior but very nice. Nice view to the Mekong river hidden in the trees but anyway it's nice. There was no breakfast at all but there was no breakfast also in any other places so maybe it's ok. For breakfast better to go not to the closest restaurant but the next to it on the left from from the entrance on the river bank. Or any other in the city, just not the opposite one.

• Soulita (8/5): Amazing stay! - The location is perfect as everything is so close and easy to go. The room is cute although we are moved to Chaliny Hotel which I believe they owned by the same owner. The noise. We could hear the noise from outside and above.

• Helen (3/5): Not relaxing or enjoyable - The hotel is on a busy road with traffic until 11.30pm and starts again at 5.30am. I could not sleep at all because of the noise and had to ask to change my room. The staff changed the room to one further back the following day but I could only sleep in that room with all the windows and shutters closed and ear plugs in . The mattresses were extremely hard and the hotel has definitely seen better days .

• Michaela (10/5): Traditional house facing Mekong - Great traditional house across the road from Mekong, lovely english-speaking host, very good breakfast (on terrasse over-looking Mekong If no rain), very nice rooms. Our seconds time, would recommend for authentic experience any time.
• Harmish (8/5): Love this colonial house by the river - It's right on the main road along the river. You can wake up in the morning and look at the Mekong river. There are nice selection of restaurants to choose from in just few steps away. The colonial building is nicely kept as it was to keep the charm of the house. The shower area need a deep cleaning especially the shower area; there are visible molds on the lower side of the shower. The breakfast was in a nice place but the food was not interesting, just cereal bowls and some fruits.

The breakfast was held across road next to river - the offerings were adequate - but they could be more varied. Wasn't helped that coffee machine vanished after first day

• Rochelle (9/5): AMAZING! - I lived my staying in Sala Prabang! Very stilish, well decorated, charming and cozy as a hotel boutique. Very comfortable. Only two blocks to the main street and not noisy. It’s great a view from the balcony to the river and the breakfast just beside the river. The owner is amazing and attentive. The water in the shower didn't have much pressure, the shower could be better.
