- Peyman (9/5): -
- Lesley Anne (8/5): Serenity at Kinross - Beautiful scenery/friendly staff/excellent food. Beds very comfortable. Cottage very well set up including for self catering if needed. Kinross is a perfect place to explore the whole region and much more relaxed than staying in Queenstown. Bike trails stunning We were in Pinot 2. Chairs not comfortable. Needs a comfortable lounging couch or chairs. We just reclined on beds instead.
- Kate (8/5): - The breakfast basket was great, fresh, well equipped
The bed incredibly comfortable and toiletries etc in shower great
Views lovely and wine tasting excellent
Home prepared meal to have in room was good You could hear the neighbours talking, sneezing etc - walls very thin
Earplugs were provided
- Melanie (10/5): High quality and welcoming - Welcoming staff with lots of added extras like the complimentary wine tasting and breakfast basket. Exceptional stay. Restaurant was excellent. Nil
- Adam Hickey (10/5): Peaceful stay in a beautiful setting - Fabulous stay at Kinross. The private tasting for the guests was great, and the hot tub under the stars was lovely. It's a beautiful setting with large rooms, good kitchen facilities and good bathroom. We loved it and wished we'd stayed there for 2 nights. Nothing.
- ROHAN (10/5): - Gorgeous cottage nestled away with lots of space.
In the hear of Gibstone Valley near all the wineries and activities.

- Lynne (10/5): - The location was gorgeous in the vineyards and out of busy Queenstown. Easy to find and loved the accomodation.
- Elissa (10/5): An unforgettable stay in a beautiful vineyard setting with exceptional comfort and service. - Our experience at Kinross was incredible. Staying in the vineyard itself felt surreal, and the wine tasting was a wonderful touch, complemented by the on-site restaurant and hot tub. The room was beautiful and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I would highly recommend it. Nothing to report.
- Natasha Maree (10/5): - Great location amongst the vineyards. Room had everything you needed plus more
- Dawn Oh (8/5): -

- Kathleen (9/5): One of our best lodgings in the Central Otaga region. - Great location, excellent wine tasting, access to free bikes and welcoming and helpful staff.
- Anne (10/5): - Nice staff, lovely location, very roomy and comfortable. The hot tub was excellent
- Joan (8/5): Wonderful Room Location on Working Vineyard - Beautiful location, nice room with amenities for purchase. I loved the towel designs which decorated out bed. The Bistro manager was extremely helpful checking-in and recommending places to eat in nearby locations. Trouble communicating with venue although it may have been due to international calling and texting, and access to wifi. Received late check-in info after checking out. Extremely limited dining options on site.

- David (9/5): As above - fantastic stay - Lovely location / cottage was superbly kitted out / lovely wine and food ! Only comment would be to get the Hot Tub hotter ! Not easy to do that I appreciate.
- JENNIFER (10/5): Stylish comfort in the most stunning location- excellent food and wine in the bistro where all the staff were friendly a - Excellent facilities with everything you need for comfort and relaxation Nothing!
Alles was top.
- Collette (9/5): Wonderful stay at a beautiful winery - Very comfortable, clean and a fabulous location. Door between adjoining cottages wasn’t locked and we didn’t realise until a lady from next door rather rudely opened the door and peered into our room. Staff attended to the issue very promptly and politely, I think more to appease the women next door. Staff were excellent, polite and very helpful.
- Kate (6/5): It is a great place for a wine and lunch but there is better value accommodation elsewhere - It had everything we needed including a small kitchenette and coffee pod machine. The beds were very comfortable. It was exceptionally clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely. It is very, very basic accommodation. Almost like a school camp style lodging. Not the best value for money. They are not open for breakfast or dinner so you have to travel for that or order food from them in advance. The bathroom looked like a large hospital bathroom and not something you pay $400+ a night for.
- Jermie (9/5): Beautiful place to relax. - Tidy and clean
- Sean (9/5): -
- Donita (8/5): I enjoyed despite the fact of getting treated bad by couple of staffs. Owners have maintained the place quite well and w - The location is excellent surrounded by mountains and get to the rabbits, hear birds sing and can watch them. The cottage was quite good and spacious. The facilities and what was provided in the room was good.Megan at the reception was awesome . One other staff I think name was Ronel at the shop was great as well. Both were very welcoming and professional. I had a walk around the village meters at sunset and really enjoyed it. View from the cottage was excellent. Great breakaway place from town and city life. Some staffs were quite unwelcoming, one lady at the bar passed the drink in a very disrespectful way. Her way of talking was quite rude. One elderly lady at the reception was not as nice as Megan.

- Brooke (10/5): - Such a lovely place with lovely staff😊
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Gillian (10/5): Quality treat special place - Great location & lovely wine food & accomodation x
- Kate (10/5): We had a wonderful couple of nights in this lovely spot. - Fabulous location, personable staff, clean, quiet
- Jenny (9/5): A complete wine staycation package in a lovely setting. - Spacious and comfortable cottage accomodation set among the vineyard. Dinner takeaway meal was superb. Live music at the bistro on Sunday arvo was very chill. Enjoyed the hot tub as well and the pétanque court. Would be good to have a lounge rather than just two chairs, particularly as there is heaps of space.
- Shameer (9/5): -
- LOREDANA (9/5): - the location in the vineyard and all the facilities were great ! it should have been from the house the fact that we have to pay for the small bottle of wine!
- Nitin (9/5): Awesome refreshing -
- Joanne (8/5): Great spot - Great experience loved that they offered the wine tasting and the hot tub. The rooms are really well appointed. Delicious food enjoyed the dinner box and the breakfast box. Needs some maintenance with accommodation.
- Da (10/5): -
- Katherine (8/5): - Enjoyed the wine tasting and the hot tub. Room was comfortable and spacious and the property was lovely overall The cabins were quite public
- Samanta (10/5): A wonderful place to stay and come back ! - Every thing was perfect !
- Klaus (9/5): -
- Kastin (7/5): -
- Marianna (9/5): This is a beautiful spot. - Location - away from the town's busy vibe.
Scenery - beautiful mountains. We would have enjoyed a queen bed (not two single beds) but do understand why this is done.
- dirk (10/5): Aanrader voor als je in de buurt van Queenstown bent - Mooie wijngaard, goede tasting
Goed personeel, uitstekend ontbijt en dat alles in een prachtige omgeving
- LE (10/5): - Lovely place with friendly staff
- Jackson (8/5): Perfect location in the valley, close to Arrowtown and Queenstown. A very relaxing atmosphere! - Amazing staff and we enjoyed our complimentary breakfast and wine tasting, beautiful location with so many photo opportunities. We thought that having more dinner options a bit later at night would have been more convenient for us as guests, we felt a little bit rushed in making dinner choices by 4.30.
- Nicky (10/5): Picturesque, cosy, romantic and great value for money! - Stunning property. Amazing landscape with so many private little picnic spots. The cosy romantic self contained cottages were beautiful. The hot tub was fabulous! Nothing (though they forgot to pop robes in our rooms so the dash to the hot tub was interesting!)
- Yvonne (10/5): -
- Maxim (10/5): - We had a wonderful time staying at the cottages in Kinross. Situated near Queenstown, on a vineyard. Very warm and clean. Lovely room decor and a comfortable kitchen.
Unfortunately we didn't have more time to enjoy the views of winery as we went to Milford Sound, but we will definitely come back again :)
The restaurant there serves excellent food, highly recommended. The breakfast provided was awesome, prepared with farmer goods.
Moreover, this is a dog friendly place, which is really cool
- Mario (9/5): -
- Charlene (10/5): - Unique and gorgeous antiques. Lobby fireplace cozy. Staff was great. Such a beautiful building, grounds, and rooms. Thermal pools were being renovated so they gave us free entry to the Polynesian thermal pools. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Elice (10/5): - We ordered the platter for two in our room and it was such good value for money, plenty of food and variety and just lovely. The bed was super comfy and it’s so peaceful and quiet which is just what we needed!
- Wayne (10/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Nerissa (10/5): Can’t wait to stay again! - Location was beautiful. We were able to bring our dog. Room was spacious clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and being able to have in-room breakfast and dinner was a bonus. Plus the outdoor spa was amazing. -
- Wendy (10/5): Perfection in the valley - Comfortable rooms. Soft bed, nice and warm. Amazing additions like wine tasting and hot tub and a lovely breakfast. We were even able to order a dinner that was delivered to our room to reheat after the wine tasting. Views were spectacular and the price was excellent. Should have stayed longer Nothing. This place was perfect
- Kevan (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, environs, facilities and hot tub! Nothing!
- Juhani (10/5): Amazing stay. - Pet friendly.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (10/5): - We appreciated the location, the accomodation, the service and the wine. All was exceptional and added value to our memorable trip to the South Island.
- Aayushi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (9/5): Superb - Excellent property
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were beautiful and beds super comfy and the breakfast was amazing
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautifully located in the Gibbston Valley, just the right distance from Queenstown to feel away from the commercialism, easy drive to Arrowtown for great restaurants, and close to so many of the amazing vineyard experiences. Even if choosing not to explore and want to stay in to enjoy the comforts of your room, the Kinross experience delivers abundantly... great food onsite at their bistro, the immediately surrounding sights are worthy of slowing down to take in and each room has the perfect park bench situated outside to enjoy a hot morning drink, or wine to watch the evening dip into darkness.
The rooms are well appointed, everything needed if you want to cook for yourself, or simply heat something up. They're spacious and comfortable, and the beds are divinely firm & pillowy at the same time.
Not cluttered but plenty of places to store and hang.
Yes, the drawer layout was back-to-front (stove utensils where the general cutlery should live), but we needed to find something that was wrong! Also, knowing the high probability of guests using the hot tub, some towels specifically for this would have been preferred - suggest packing slip-on footwear for the walk up.
For certain the wine tasting experience must not be missed, Diego wends a delicious tale about the wines presented and the local growers that disappoints only because there should be a movie telling the tale!
Middle of winter presents no issues, the room was comfortably warm and clearly well insulated.
- Brenda (9/5): Perfect 👌 - Incredibly comfortable bed.
Ashley & Co toiletries were devine!
Perfect location for touring around the area
Great being able to sit and have a drink in front of the massive outdoor fire.
Complimentary wine tasting was great, as was the hot tub!
Friendly staff.
We’ll be back
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alistair (9/5): Wine and relax! - Beautiful location with great facilities Relaxing and great well thought out food boxes that complimented the wine tasting.
- Lyndon (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Suchitra (10/5): Lovely stay - Loved the stay at Kinross . Staff excellent . Had the fungi pizza at the bistro which was excellent.
Rommel introduced us to some excellent wines .
The pre ordered breakfast was excellent.
Lovely lovely place . Thank you
- Anisha (9/5): Superb -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (10/5): Amazing place to celebrate a birthday - Gorgeous location and the attention to detail was amazing!! Truly couldn't have picked a more picturesque (and comfortable) place to celebrate a 60th birthday!! Comfy beds, great space, great amenities. Nothing not to like!! The beds were quite soft but that's just a preference thing.
- John (10/5): We will definitely be back ! - Quiet spacious, fully self contained, great linen comfortable bed and fabulous staff. N/A
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cam (10/5): A stunning vineyard retreat with an amazing room, breathtaking views, and the perfect peaceful escape. - Beautiful views, peaceful and relaxing. Room was fantastic Nothing
- Tony (10/5): Great experience. Will do it again next year - The staff were very professional.
The guy in the Wine Shop was brilliant. Be good if dinner for in house guests was available until say 7.00pm or ever later??
- Dylan (10/5): Stay out of Queenstown and reward yourself with some quiet. - We loved everything about our short stay at Kinross. It's outside queenstown, which is amazing - we came in the off peak season and it is CHAOTIC.
The wine tasting was incredible, Charles gave us an excellent explanation of the local wines we tried, and they were all very nice.
The food was also amazing, very well priced and we got to look across at the mountains while we ate.
Finally, the room, supremely comfortable and quiet. Soft bed, lovely bathroom, and of course, more wine in the room to purchase at very good prices! Nothing.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brodie (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Kinross. This is a beautiful location and well presented cottage. Thank you for making such a memorial experience for us.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place and facilities. The beds were supercomfy. We all loved the hot tub under the stars! It was so good to have an exceptional place that let us have our dog with us. We will definitely be back.
- Anita (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, will come back - Restful Restaurant closed early
- Reid (10/5): - This property is a hidden gem in the wine country north of Queenstown. Beautiful setting, spacious cottage, cooking facilities in room, and some of the best wine in the area My only regret is we only had one night to spend there and it will be very hard to book again for a weekend visit from Texas. Five stars across the biard
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Florencia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): We will be back - Fabulous location. Fabulous facilities that was very spacious. Absolutely love that we could take our fur babies. Nothing.
- Andrea (9/5): Wine, pizza, hot tub in a beautiful location. Very enjoyable. - The complimentary wine tasting for guests was fabulous. David's knowledge of the regions wines and history was exceptional. Really enjoyed the optional takeaway wood fired pizza with a perfectly matched bottle of wine.
- Anne (10/5): - Lovely quiet location great breakfast
- Hannah (8/5): Lovely place with great staff but we were expecting a bit more for what we paid. - Staff were all lovely, free wine tasting was great and the room was huge. The evening food options are very limited (pizzas that you need to pick up before 6pm) and the breakfast could have been a bit more generous considering we’d paid extra for it.
- Andrew (9/5): A lot of fun prior to moving into our new home in Queenstown - We stayed at cottages at Kinross and loved the ambience, the quiet and the outlook to the mountains. It was really special
- Nicholas (8/5): Good and reasonably priced . Wine tasting was fun - The room was well laid out and comfortable The food offering is limited and breakfast not really available. You have to drive to Frankton or Arrowtown for breakfast.
- Ceri (9/5): Superb -
- RichRD (8/5): Ok - We were arriving after check in hours and the key wasn't in the key safe box as they had messaged it would be. Fortunately there was a private catering event happening and the asst manager tracked down the key.
We were in Ruins and the lodge is at the end of the property. V quiet with rabbits having a lovely timealla round. The room was large with a lot of wasted space and would have benefitted from this being filled with a bigger table than the tiny one currently in there. We didn't partake in eating there or any of the wine activities. It was probably not worth the price they charge.
- Eilish (9/5): Superb - It’s set on a vineyard with stunning views The restaurant closed very early and was open at check out time
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful! - Beautiful place, amazing staff.
- Juliana (10/5): Amazing Wine Tasting Overnight - Wonderful wine tasting stay! Wines were amazing, food was superb, especially pizza. Our cottage was fully staffed with everything one might need, including more wine after hours. Highly recommend
