• Smith (1/5): Nowhere to Lay My Head! - Absolutely nothing! My family and I contacted your facility through Booking.com several times to give an estimated arrival time. When we got there the receptionists comes out loudly stating that we have no room. That you were overbooked. How in the world do you allow someone who is traveling to come to your location without a warning that they have no where to lay there head at night. Then the receptionist tells us they will send us to another hotel and that the Hyatt would foot the bill, only to get to the other hotel and they have no idea what we were talking about. Once everything settles down and we unpack, we find out that the door to our new room at the other hotel, Hilton Inn and Suites in Normal is broken. We have to pack up that room, resettle only to find out in the middle of the night that the room has a roach in it. All stemming from the fact that NO ONE from the original hotel, the Hyatt in Bloomington gave us any warning that they were overbooked. Inhumane and NOT thinking of others. THAT is what I did not like!

• Linette (5/5): Great hospitality however lobby took a turn for the worse. - The hotel was beautiful. Very comfortable. Front desk were very friendly. Girl behind the bar at night in the lobby was extremely rude to guests around us. We saw everything unfold and how she spoke to them was terrible. We had around a dozen people with us and others at the bar that witnessed everything. Because of this we will never return. See above. Bartender should be fired after how she behaved towards others that night.

• Global68024680117 (10/5): A wonderful stay at the Hyatt. - The staff were so friendly and welcoming, all going over and above. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but wasn't the worst either. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The location was within walking distance to many great eating places. The parking was included in the stay which is unheard of. The walk from parking to the hotel was much easer and closer than expected. I didn't hear any nnoise while sleeping. I would stay here again!

• 957julieh957 (8/5): Nice modern and clean hotel - Our stay at this downtown Hyatt Place was nice. Hotel was modern, clean and well kept. The room was also very comfortable and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our complementary breakfast in the spacious and pretty dining area. There is a Starbucks connected thru the lobby which was great! There are also restaurants within walking distance, though some were closed on a Sunday evening. Looked like it might be a fun area to walk around had the weather been a bit better. The only thing that gave us pause during this stay was the parking situation. Parking was located in a shared ramp across the street. We did unload luggage in the small drive-up area in front of the hotel and then park the car. It would have been a bit cumbersome to unload in the ramp and drag everything thru the ramp and across the street - though the street wasn’t very busy on a Sunday, so it was easy to quickly cross. We do not typically stay in downtown areas, but felt fairly safe.
• 316reggiem (8/5): A nice stay close to the university - We were in town for the IHSA State Cheerleading competition. We decided to book this hotel as it was recommended by other parents on the cheer team. The check in was fairly easy, however the drive up was a bit small and crowded. The parking is in a parking deck and a quick walk back to the hotel. The location was fantastic as we were walking distance to a lot of places, and a short drive to the Grossinger Motor Sports arena. They do serve a really good breakfast and the lobby is quite spacious, as well as a great workout facility! They do have a bar inside the hotel if you are in need of a drink after being out and about. The only issue was the pool was inoperable during our stay. I highly recommend staying here again, as the staff are quite courteous and helpful!
• Alicia (10/5): Seeking shelter from severe weather turned into an enjoyable and pleasant visit and calmed my weather anxieties knowing - It started with a wonderful welcoming experience from Simone. She was kind, sweet and friendly. I also had a slight but urgent need as after I checked out and returned home, I noticed I had forgotten my headphones under the bed covers. I immediately called the front desk and spoke with Desiree who understood the assignment!!! Please find my headphones! She immediately ran up to check and returned with great news. She made sure to mention they were going to be safe and secure in the managers office. I will be returning again, not only for my expensive headphones, but just to enjoy and re-experience this again! Everything was perfect not one single complaint

It was a little expensive though. $200 a night is too much for me. But there is no Hyatt in Peoria and I decided to drive onto Bloomington so I could stay at a Hyatt and I am glad I did even though it was expensive. I normally like hotels with a side or a back door so I don’t have to walk my three small service dogs through the Around a bunch of people and possibly around other dogs. There was no other door other than the front door. I’m a very grateful that the front desk staff made us feel so welcome. They always said hi and usually made some comment about my dogs being cute and really made me feel welcome with the dogs.

Not the end of the world but the bathroom was a lake as a result. What really bothered me was being chased out of the room by housekeeping. No one from the hotel should be knocking on the door at 9:15 a.m. on any day and certainly not on a Sunday. And she came back at 10:30. What is the rush? If you’re going to charge $300 for a “city view” room, maybe tell people that what they’re actually going to “view” is the parking garage across the street. And providing lotion wouldn’t hurt.

As my family had pizza delivered for dinner, a customer and the clerk got into a heated argument, to the point where the police were called, all while families were in the lobby. The bartender tried to help out and was told by the clerk not to speak to the customer.

The breakfast had rotten fruit and rotten/mushy mixed berries. The scrambled eggs were painfully watered down. If I stayed another night I would not eat the breakfast.

• A6670HLroym (10/5): Awesome staff made last minute hotel stay as comfortable as can be. - There was a snowstorm in Bloomington in mid-December 2025. We were expecting to come to town and leave out the same night. All the roads were closed down due to the snowstorm. We had to make last minute reservations to stay overnight. The staff made the process go as smooth as possible. They were very helpful, kind, patient, understanding, and resourceful.

• Explore637744 (4/5): It looks nice - Lots of things broken fryer at bar, the pool. Difficult to load and unload vehicles. Especially with 3 small children. Had 2 different Managers when we checked in the manager with a joy to work with and very apologetic about all the issues that occurred. The next morning was a different manager and seemed like could care less.

Got charged extra when I booked for a higher level room on top floors we got a 4th floor room and they couldn't reimburse us the extra money. The night manager was very nice and very apologetic about the inconvenience and everything that happened .Then I woke up in the morning and got charged twice for the room. Once from this website which is where I booked then the hotel itself charged me. Went to the front desk and said o well you will get your money back in a week maybe if not call us. Breakfast was nice and my 3 small children were so excited to go to the pool... We get there and the water is freezing. No pumps running. Go to the front desk and the person there didn't even look up from her computer to tell me "yeah someone complained about it yesterday too" someone might come today to work on it. and that's all that was said.

• Trent (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. Hotel is in the middle of campus. The parking garage is attached. Very clean. Will definitely stay there again.

• Jonathan (10/5): - Everything about this hotel was great, from the staff, to the room attendants, to the great complimentary breakfast. Even when the power was out, not the hotels fault, the whole area arpund the university was out, the staff provided ice water and did the best they could to make us comfortable. The room was clean, bathroom was bery clean and spacious. It is very close to the University and we could walk everywhere we needed to go. Parking is right across the street, very accessible. Will definitely stay here whenever we go to ISU.

• Gerardo (10/5): - The staff members were really great. We had a family member in a wheelchair and they were so accommodating. The bed was really really comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I was surprised. The area is very safe and the parking garage is right across the street. I would highly recommend this place as it is cheaper than the Marriott and located right across the street. We also had our dog with us and they were very, very nice to our dog. Staff was wonderful.

• Katarzyna (2/5): - I'm very disappointed. I was misled!! I booked 2 beds with a sofa, but upon arrival, it was 1 bed with a sofa and there are FOUR of us. There was no one to talk to except for the only one person at the front desk who was very nice but left without any assistance and with no manager. I definitely DO NOT RECCOMEND this hotel, especially for ISU's Family Weekend!! It is overpriced for these standards. -Room 714
