Cannot check in after 6p - It was very comfortable place to sleep Check in process was horrible, it needs to be better advertised tha you can’t check in after 6p. Like don’t allow people to book that late in the evening if you can’t support their check in. Especially with being out of the way with not much else around. Also only offering breakfast on weekends is very lame. I get it’s a small place and not a chain but I’d say it’s not a place for a winter stay.

The breakfast was served only on weekends, which wasn't clear. Also, breakfast start time was later than expected (don't recall exact time) so we had to eat in town.

Judy (5/5): Very quiet since we were the only ones staying in the lodge so we had the fireside room to ourselves - We were told upon arrival that they were not doing breakfast and we were on our own. We were aware that they provided breakfast when we made our reservation. The person checking us in gave us some oatmeal packets, bowls and spoons. The rest of the desk staff was very unfriendly especially the manager who didn't apologize for the lack of information on the web site about breakfast not being available. He was very rude to my husband. We were the only ones in the lodge with no staff on site at night and the doors were unlocked.
Destiny (8/5): Excellent place to stay with extended family. The condos allowed for us to have a space to hang out and cook. - The 3 bedroom condo was an excellent value for multiple adult couples. The condo could use some touch up on paint and deep cleaning on metal door surfaces.
Jones (8/5): Overall, great place to stay! - I have stayed here before and warned my husband about the "hard beds," but ours was actually soft and comfy! Staff was very friendly and gave us information regarding cabin rentals! I think the breakfast could use some work. The baked goods were stale and sad, but the coffee was good! I just think a few small improvements could be made that would make a big difference. Higher quality of goods or add a waffle machine?

Shawna (9/5): Beautiful and peaceful location!! - Very peaceful location. My good friend and I meet here every MEA weekend. We love the location and quietness of the hotel. It is very relaxing. We did not have any towels or soap upon arrival. We did not check in early so it seemed like our room had not been fully ready. Everything else was ready however. The hotel could definitely use new beds. The mattresses are not very comfortable.

Within walking distance of Nisswa so didn’t need to find a parking spot or drive through the crowded town. Very surprised and a bit disappointed that there were not cooked eggs and bacon (or other meat) for breakfast. Also surprised that breakfast didn’t open until 7:00.

Lynn (10/5): - Love this resort. We had one little issue and talked to the front desk. They couldn’t fix the issue so they upgraded us to a different room. They were so on top of it all and just wonderful. There is lots to do in the area and lots to explore. Just one side note, the beds do need updating. They are not really comfortable but I have slept on worse. We had to sleep in separate beds as they sank in the middle and we had to fight our way out of the middle. But don’t let this stop you from staying here, it was a small price to pay.

Linda (10/5): Relaxing, happy, fun, comfortable, clean satisfying! I am privileged to come and stay at this lovely retreat - I love the beautiful atmosphere inside and out! They have everything I would need and so many things I want to find at a resort. The resort offers such a variety of activities that I love all year round! While there are many attractions nearby, I do not feel a need to leave, as I am satisfied enjoying all they have right there. The staff is amazing, kind, courteous, and they work to the highest standard—which is reflected all around, both inside and out! Thank you! The only thing I didn’t like is that I had to leave too soon!

They also have a newer play yard set up for the kiddos. Our beds were very cofmy and our rental was very clean. Overall, our stay was fantastic with one tiny exception...... the goose poop all over the lawn! Yes, I know it nature, but its not fun to have to dodge goose crap! Thank you for the wonderfyl stay!

Mcpherson (8/5): Family time in Nisswa. - I liked the lakefront access &, the bike trail access. The bed was too hard for me. Did not sleep well.
Melinda (10/5): - We had a wonderful one-night girls' getaway here! The cabin is cozy with beautiful views of Lake Cullen. It’s super close to the Paul Bunyan Trail, downtown Nisswa, and Hwy 371. The free breakfast was a nice bonus. Highly recommend for a relaxing trip with friends or family!

Kim (10/5): Exceptional very clean and well maintained resort - The breakfast was similar to what I eat at home so more than enough variety. The room (we were upgraded from the lodge to a cottage) was wonderful. I will stay again in the future. All staff was very friendly. No complaints about the resort...very well taken care of.

Inez (10/5): - Lovely, immaculate A-framestyle 2-story 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse with walk-out patio doors onto a lake setting, with authentic knotty pine ceilings and accents, leather furniture; 1st floor queen bedroom; 1st floor bathroom with shower. Fully equipped kitchen, including stove and dishwasher. All linens and toiletries included. Backyard personal gas grill and community firepit. On-site massive playground, kayaks, paddle boats, and private docks. Includes private parking pad. Front desk receptionist went above and beyond. Continental breakfast bar in main lobby, along with game room which included a pool table and foosball.
Bob (6/5): Average - Average. Just average. The male host that checked us in could start trying to be pleasant.

Amber (10/5): Amazing! - The resort was amazing! I came for a weekend getaway with family and it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The hosts were very generous and friendly, we truly felt at home during our stay there. We will definitely be back!

Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - location, quietness as it was out of season, close to town, great walk/bike trail, great variety of eateries, food and drink, cheerful and helpful staff, cottage rental wad exceptional, fantastic views, breakfast was adequate, don't expect a full English, as you can cook that in your cottage. Thank you each and all involved in the running of Minnesota gem.. Nothing., only the shower area could do with non slip flooring.
