Kelly (5/5): Sheets were clean & bed was comfortable but there were a couple of easy cosmetic fixes that could’ve been made - Location was great There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and water stains over top of one of the queen beds on the ceiling. The AC unit filter was clogged with dust and particles, and we had to clean it out.

Nick (9/5): Well worth it, we will definitely be choosing Lighthouse View next time we stay in the area! - Great location and price, shuttle service for the Ferry. Rooms were clean, facility seemed well kept, staff was attentive. Room was big enough for its purpose, enough room for a Pack N Play for the baby and storing luggage. Extra cost for the bridge view rooms wasn't really worth it, can't really see much through the trees anyway. Parking lot is really tight, not much that can be done about that but keep this in mind if you have a large vehicle. Would appreciate a sign or a sheet in each room that reminds guests of Pool Hours/Check Out times and other info, had to keep referring to the website for that type of information. Rain gutters need repair, seemed to be a waterfall directly over the stairs whenever it was raining.

Best of all it is incredibly reasonably priced for what you get. If there were anything at all the parking lot is a bit small and angled.

meredith (8/5): Fairly good for a place to land - I did not notice the reservation was for a 2nd fl room, and my mother has a foot brace which makes stairs quite difficult. The owner rearranged sev rooms to accommodate us in an ADA room which was likely more spacious than standard rooms, loads of space! Large wheelchair accessible bathroom w/ portable shower seat and walk in shower. New flooring instead of nasty carpeting was a plus, unsure if all rooms have new flooring. Did not have time to tale advantage of hot tub but is open til 10 Door would not lock, apparently due to weather change. Management either took care of it or it fixed itself. Shower curtain leaves gap at bottom and bei g a walkin shower creates a big mess...it needs a linger curtain or lowered rod. One bed had some.kind of dirt in the sheets which seemed odd (but bed were very comfortable) Management could have been a bit more helpful with requests like a mug to boil water for tea, but overall it was fine. Again my own fault for not realizing it was 1.2 miles from our chosen island ferry.

Sharon (10/5): It was an excellent stay. Just what I needed. - I liked the easy access from the highway to the motel. It was in a quiet area away from the tourist section. I could see the bridge from my room on the second floor. Just across the street was the beach and small parks with historical plaques. The fort and information store is within walking distance. You can walk to the town if you are a good walker. The pool was a decent size for swimming laps. There is a hot tub.
Margaret (6/5): Mixed Review - We stayed 2 separate nights at this property. The first night was great. Nice room, very clean and comfortable. The second night was terrible! One of the worst experiences we’ve had while traveling. Room 109 is not well appointed. It is also possibly the noisiest room I’ve ever stayed in!!! Between the traffic noise going over the bridge, a water heater whining and groaning all night, people above us stomping around their room and then the stairs right outside the door. Non stop noise. Needless to say this is not the room you want if you want to sleep. I would stay here again but in a different room.

There was a used towel from a previous guest hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I just added it to my dirty towels. The only thing that would really keep me from staying here again would be the old terribly uncomfortable mattress. Popping spring and you could feel being drawn to the side everyone sleeps on. Sleep was difficult.

The room was clean and quiet and enjoyed the hot tub. We didn't use the pool, although it looked great. The location is perfect -- easy walk to restaurants and the ferry. Also the Lakeshore Park is right across the street. Would definitely recommend this family owned motel for your stay in Mackinaw City.
