• Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay at The Nelson House was a great, great experience. The hosts (including a very friendly puppy!) were very welcoming and kind. The place itself was beautiful and quaint, with lots of cute decor. The room was very quiet - especially the air conditioning - which made it very easy to sleep. Now, the highlight of this place is their amazing breakfast. Guests can choose from two different menus, served with coffee or tea (there are a lot of tea bags to choose from!) and a small selection of fruits. Would definitely recommend for a stay near the Halifax airport!

Although we came in late and had to leave early Marla was quite accommodating and we did our best to be quiet and not disturb anyone. Delicious waffles for breakfast and the table setup was like something from 75 years ago. Delightful stay not far from the downtown and Halifax airport make it very convenient.

Marla and Darrell were wonderful hosts - very welcoming and they worked to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was everything that others posted. The house had a great ambiance and was very nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the evening and reading.

The ensuite bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. Definitely would recommend, as it's around a 30 minute drive to the Halifax airport.
