Guest Reviews
- James (8/5): - No Wifi, with the price that's charged per night, WIFI should be included.
- Ellyn (8/5): - We had a great time. the room was clean. Everything worked well. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable ever but it was comfortable enough.
- Verified traveler (4/5): We wont be back! - We were very disappointed in this condo. The mattress is in need of replacement. There is some sort of "egg carton" to cushion the mattress which in return makes the fitted sheet not fit properly. The condo states there is a sofa well no it's not a sofa
It is a futon. The blinds are wooden and part of a wooden slat was broken. There was a used wadded up paper towel by the bed when we first entered the condo. The patio door was unlocked upon entering the room. We had to take our trash out or be subjected to a fee. There are bottles of liquid soap by the sink at the kitchenette and in the bathroom . In my opinion this would be a sanitary issue because I dont know if these bottles have been disinfected from the previous renters. We will not rent here again.
- Bruce (8/5): - Centrally located. The amenities and there areas were very clean and we'll maintained. Very quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect home base for our weekend getaway. It had everything we needed!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Mostly Positive - Overall, I would recommend Longhollow Suite 1321. A few things future guests should know: 1) This studio is located inside a Wyndham property called WorldMark, but it is managed/rented by Rosebud Rentals. If you have an issue with the studio while staying there, you have to call Rosebud Rentals for assistance, not the front desk of the property. 2) The valley view from the window/balcony is lovely. 3) The bed was not great. It sounded and felt like we were sleeping on a semi-deflated air mattress. Not romantic. 4) The fireplace was a nice perk. We used it a lot. 5) The studio's fire extinguisher expired four years ago! Be careful with fireplace, candles, etc. 6) We liked the location, which was right on Rt 20, next to the entrance to Eagle Ridge Resort and about 15 minutes to Galena.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The amenities were great. Having a mini fridge and microwave in the unit meant that I did not have to eat every meal out. When the weather was bad, it was a great time to go to the indoor pool and hot tub or work out in the fitness center. There’s also the option of renting movies. I would definitely stay at Longhollow Point Inn again.
- Jayne (10/5): - Loved the whirlpool tub with fireplace, beautiful setting for get a way. Will book again!
- Lisa (10/5): - Great place to stay while you visit the beautiful Galena area. The building itself had amenities to keep the kids busy when the weather was bad outside. We really like this place a lot. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely return!
- Erica (10/5): - The room was lovely and had a great view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Peaceful relaxing get away - We enjoyed our stay at 1105- golf, bird watching, nature trails, wineries, horseback riding and foodies will love this spot!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We thought the water had a smell of sulfur. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. But other than that it was a good stay.
- Shehaam (10/5): Romantic room - Really cozy room. Great amenities. Whirlpool and fireplace were a nice touch.
- Dave (8/5): Wifi - I think you could offer free WIFI.
Everything was very clean. We loved the hot tub and fireplace. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
- Magpie (4/5): Condo too far from town - Bed was too hard, room was too warm, had to take out garbage.
- Laura (8/5): Okay but Disappointing - The room was smaller than we were led to believe. The kitchenette only had a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink. There was no oven and limited dishes. The bathroom door would not latch and squeaked a lot. The water smelled bad. Most of the drawers were filled with bedding for the pull out couch. There was not enough space for our clothing. To get more toilet tissue or towels we had to call an outside number (Rosebud Rentals), not the front desk. Wi-Fi was not included. The room was clean. The check in and check out went smoothly.
- Greg (10/5): Great place to stay! - Very nice! No complaints, beautiful area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Family get away - Very polite front desk staff. Balconies being redone, game room fun will pool table, games, foosball $ big pool but chilly water, sauna room and hot tub -but for adults -only so my kids were disappointed. Room had jet tub which they loved. Quite room but bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable, some peeling of wall paper in room and stained rug in halls, pay for wifi use per day, nice mini fridge and microwave, older TV not best quality with VCR and DVD player. For what we paid, plus cleaning fee, I could have had a hotel room with upgraded things, so I think if the price was lower it would be a better deal. Close drive to Iowa boarder. Beautiful winding roads throughout.
- Sarj (8/5): 1 bedroom = studio - There was a misunderstanding on the type of condo we were renting. We were sure that we rented a 1-bedroom according to the advertising, but then we found ourself in a studio instead, with no coffee, no tissue and a dirty jacuzzi and more.
- ANNE (10/5): Wonderful accommodations! - We loved Eagle Ridge, and the accommodations were great.
- Jennifer (10/5): Cant wait to stay again! - Fantastic room. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. The balcony was the perfect place to sit and unwind after a long day in Galena!!! We loved the double fireplace, added a perfect amount of romance to our weekend getaway!
- Peggy (8/5): Close to Galena IL - Close to golf courses, Galena IL. Peaceful and the views were Beautiful. The pool and hot tub looked very inviting, and the grounds had pretty plants and some flowers. Staff was helpful and pleasant. A very quiet time of year.
- CJ (10/5): Nice Hotel - This hotel has nice accommodations and amenities. It is a great place to stay with kids since it has a nice pool, hot tub, game room and common areas. It also has a great selection of movies to rent.
- Bob (10/5): A secretly Magical Place - I had never been here before. Got it last minute to go to Luminaria in Galena. I thought it was a room. It was more like a cabin or a suite. Wow. Superb bed. Decor. Kitchen with everything except stove (microwave, sink, toaster, refrigerator), glasses, silverware, plates, small serving area to prepare food). The view (I faced south, away for highway) was delightful - the rolling countyside - which even in winter with snow was sublime. Lot's of light through large windows. Quiet place - simply did not hear any noise. TV was nice and working. Chairs and work station fit the bill. Nice lighting, both overhead and lamps throughout. Very warm overall color scheme. There is no room service, but lot's of places just up the RT 20 going to and into Galena, so no issue. No housecleaning while you stay unless you call (I did not - my parents taught me how to clean up after myself when a guest at someone's home) and I felt more like a guest than a stranger in a motel room. Plenty of towels and cleaning supplies in the ample cabinets.
The main thing for me was the gas fireplace in the wall between the main living area (bed) and the bathroom. The fireplace is visible in both rooms - main and bathroom. It was exquisite. In the bathroom was a large whirlpool with the fireplace visible through glass right next to you. It was magical. And I was alone. Nice shower for those who aren't whirlpool people. I ran some water and turned on the jets to see if they were clean. They were. Yes.
- nice condo (8/5): Nice condo - We had a really hard time finding this facility. Upon arrival we entered our rented condo- a blast of cold air met us- they had turned the heat off entirely! It took almost an hour to get the temperature of the room comfortable.
The room however was very nice. Beautiful bathroom with jetted tub and see thru fireplace. Sliders to a small balcony with a wooded view.
The lobby of the facility was decorated nicely and all staff were very nice and helpful.
We discovered later why the room took so long to heat up. The seal on the sliding glass doors was bad. You could keep the room warm but a lot of cold air seeped in.
All in all it was a very nice place to stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Needs a lot of work!!! - Pool and hot tub were dirty. Carpets were filthy and torn up. You could hear a lot of construction in the rooms during the day. Rooms have potential to be nice but there is so much that needs to be done here!
- david (6/5): - Shower was horrible
- Aaron (10/5): Highly recommended - What a nice surprise our stay happened to be. Wonderful room with a amazing valley view. We will definitely return.
- tim (10/5): Weekend Getaway - Room was very nice and clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful..
Wife and I had a enjoyable weekend in Galena. Will definitely stay here again
- Kenneth (8/5): Longhollow Inn Studio is that, not a "1 bedroom" - This was our second stay at Longhollow. We enjoyed the room and amenities.
What we did NOT like was the reservation service. The reservation listed the room as "Condo, 1 bedroom", the room was titled "studio". We THOUGHT we were getting a one bedroom condo, not a studio. It turned out to be a studio.
Further, the Hotels.com reservation notice stated we would not be charged until we "checked in or checked out", the Reservation agency called before we left home stating we had to sign a contract and pay in full.
Beyond the reservation situation, the room and the stay were delightful.
Be advised: this room has only a microwave, undercounter refrigerator and small bar sink and small counter area.
- Rick (6/5): LongPoint Hollow review - Property was well maintained on the outside and undergoing some furniture updates during our stay. The single queen bed was very low to the ground and very, very firm. Room air conditioner was very noisy when engaged and also running. Water pressure in shower was very low...probably water saver head. Would have been much nicer if pressure was higher. Nice privacy on outside deck. Kitchenette was properly supplied with dishes, glasses, cups, and eating utensils. Two sided gas fireplace between whirlpool and room was very nice touch. Adequate closet and drawer space. Disappointed that you had to pay for internet when the advertisement left you to believe it was free.
- Patricia (6/5): Girls Getaway - My stay was ok, room was kind of dated but clean.
