Guest Reviews
- Julie (2/5): - You can do better.
- Jacob (10/5): - The staff were amazing
- Kari (4/5): - They forgot to clean part of room....all of bathroom! Toilet had clogged and still had feces in it. I used my own soap and cleaned seat. No soaps, no bags in garbages, didnt replace used towels from previous guest. Room was closed up and hot. A/C on all night and only cooled down 5°.
Office only open 3 pm to 11pm. We got there late and were super tired. I left note for owner to call but got no call. Was likely an oversight but was a pretty big one.
- Rose (6/5): - You can tell they have done some good work to the rooms. I didnt appreciate the threatening orange signs. It stated they do their best to clean, but I guess dusting wasn’t part of the cleaning progress. Check the light by the coffee pot and the gray old heater. Top dust. Oh and my husband hit his hand on that old thermostat above the bed.
- Raymond (6/5): - Old stale smell no amenities
Great shower Great Host
- Pamela (10/5): - Wonderful property, excellant staff, very clean and up to date, will definitely stay again!
- Deb (8/5): Great Little Place - Pet friendly. Very old and out-dated room, but clean and nice. Service was excellent.
- Robyn (6/5): Pretty decent for one night - It is kind of a mom and pop type place that is obviously better cared for than most. Room was not very big, but we had what we needed … microwave, frig, coffee maker (YEA! A 4-cup drip pot so I could use my own coffee)!!! Bathroom was clean, decent towels and sheets. Pillows were ok. No yucky filthy carpet, they have updated vinyl floors that seemed clean. Bed was a good one for me, slept pretty well. All in all, it was fine for an overnight. My suggestions for the place would be to update the bedspreads (theirs appear to be from That 70’s Show and please …. A hair dryer. Nobody travels with one anymore because all places supply them.
- Brenda (8/5): - Bed was full size which we are not used to, seemed very small. Shower was great. Location convenient to interstate.
- Ginny (10/5): - Bare bones room. Bed and microwave. Only one dining option
- Susan (10/5): Quiet and relaxing stay! - Very nice stay. Quiet, clean and so comfortable. Newer owner has updated the rooms and we will definitely be back!
- Lance (10/5): - Great little place. Park right at the door. Clean. Quiet.
- Allan (8/5): - Older Motel but clean and seems safe. Friendly helpful staff.
- Wayne (10/5): - enjoyed our stay
- Claudine (10/5): - Quaint property, with walkable food options
- Anna (10/5): - Great experience
- Merill (10/5): - The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean
- Jim (10/5): - Nice for a quick stop on our way through.
- Debra (10/5): - Convenient and clean
- Theresa (10/5): - Love the orange microfiber towels
- julie (6/5): Quick Overnight - We had car trouble and neede a quick place. The staff person at check in was kind and professional, our service was excellent, quick check in. Our room was clean but had a smell that was covered up by some sort of spray. We do have a dog and it was a pet room but i dont think that means it should smell. Easy access right off I 90 E
- Thomas (10/5): - Great little place to stay while out riding motorcycle.
- Trista (10/5): - I LOVED the water pressure in the shower, and I loved the comfort of the bed!
- Carol M (8/5): Nice - Nice
- timmind (6/5): Just okay. Good enough for one night, friendly but rather worn. - We stayed here because the campground we were planning on was closed, and other hotels were pricy and charged a lot extra for a dog. This did not seem like a $99 dollar hotel, but it was the cheapest we found. Friendly person at the desk, but the first room we were given smelled like dog pee. Unacceptable. She gave us a different room which smelled very stale, but the linens were clean and the main bathroom facilities very clean. The A/C worked well but was loud. Windows could not be opened. Anyway, we prefer to patronize locally owned businesses rather than chains, and we don't mind quirks like cars being worked on by people who seem to be living there long term. I'm sure it's hard to compete with new chain hotels but I wish they'd clean the carpets, walls, and doors more often.
- sarah (8/5): - Would stay again
- Tony (6/5): - Easy on off the interstate.
- James (10/5): - This is an older property but amazingly comfortable. Its obvious that the couple who own It care about their guests. One of the owners came over to me as I was getting ready to depart and asked me about my stay. Very comfortable beds and they didn't skimp on the quality. I'd definitely stay with these folks again.
- Teresa (10/5): - Very easy to deal with on short notice, really appreciated it!
- DON (8/5): - The area around the property.
- Dexter (10/5): Simple, clean, welcoming, affordable - I arrived very late during my stay, one of the owners was kind enough to stay up for me so that I could check in. They were very welcoming and friendly. Any time I am in the area and need a place to stay I will be staying here.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Older property. Tiny bathroom. Lumpy carpet
- Allan (8/5): - Passing through on I-90. Convenient location, clean rooms, staff was great. My son left his boots in the room and the staff was very accommodating when we picked them up a few days later.
- Roger (8/5): - Small room - but clean and ammenities
Microwave needed to be on top of fridge, but could go there as tv was hanging too low.
Made computer desk crowded with microwave, but there was just enough room if i used my mouse on fridge top
Comfy bed, clean rooms
- Jeff (8/5): - Small property with the convenience of parking in front of your door and walking right into your room. Room was average size with two queen beds, really no where to put up a cot or an air bed if you had extra company. Clean room with mini fridge. Heat and Fan for air flow worked well. The biggest turn off was each bed had a child’s plastic (pee) sheet under the the main sheet that was super uncomfortable, it was on both beds. Really rule oriented place, don’t do this, don’t use that, or we will charge you. Other than feeling like we were being scrutinized it was decent for the price.
- Larry (8/5): Sioux Motel - Front desk was helpful.
- Karl (10/5): Great little motel - A quaint old school motel with all new amenities and attentive and kind and staff. It surpassed my expectations.
- Tim (10/5): - Owner was super nice, The King bed was new, and comfortable. It is an older motel, but was very clean with fresh towels. One night stop on way to Hill City. Would stay again.
- Paula (8/5): - A bit worn & carpets need replacing
- Arnold (10/5): - The owner was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again.
- Sandy (8/5): - Clean room with comfortable bed.
- June (10/5): - Quiet, large room with fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed.
- Relax03405018642 (10/5): Best stay. - We were traveling and hit a coyote & had car damage so needed a place to stay. Owner so nice, room clean, beds comfortable, subway and a pizza place not far away and 2 gas stations. It may be an older place but well kept up. Glad we found it. Would recommend
- Verified traveler (4/5): - URine urine urine smell covered up with air freshener. Sickening. Clean towel thu.
- sriram (6/5): - Queen bed was too small. Difficult for two.
- TIMOTHY (10/5): - Excellent stay. Nice room and nice staff
- Shannon (10/5): - Quiet and very clean hotel. I will be staying here again.
- Alisa (10/5): Great place - Great quite place and town, room was remodeled and clean. Friendly staff and accommodating. Would stay there again.
- jayab449 (2/5): Terrible service - Was tired and looking for a place to stay so my boyfriend and his brother tried the Sioux motel and the front desk lady was extremely rude and refused them because they were not white and “looked like trouble” because we came from white river. DO NOT RECOMMEND
- Alisa (10/5): Great place - Great quite place and town, room was remodeled and clean. Friendly staff and accommodating. Would stay there again
- Christopher (8/5): - My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. AC was a little loud, but it kept me cool on a hot South Dakota day and night. I slept like a baby.
- vickie (10/5): Good place to stay - This is a nice little back your car up to your door motel. No complaints. They have a really nice little area to sit and relax. Overall I was really nice. Only complaint is one of the bed seemed wore out
- vickie (10/5): Good place to stay - This is a nice little back your car up to your door motel. No complaints. They have a really nice little area to sit and relax. Overall I was satisfied. My sisters bed seem to be broke in room 18 though. So she didn’t sleep as well as I did.
- Lawrence (8/5): Surprisingly nice - Independent owners that were very friendly. Older hotel ,but room was updated and very clean. Owners were very accommodating and helpful with local food and service options. I would stay here again .
- Jennifer (8/5): Room - Bed was great, and the water pressure and temperature of the water was awesome.
- Dixie (6/5): - Was a mediocre stay. Not impressed that only had a small ice machine in office area. Didn't the single sink just outside the bathroom, pictures online showed a counter with sink outside of the bathroom, MAIN reason why we booked the type of room we did!!!
- Stephen (10/5): Good value - Good value. I was passing through on the way to Seattle.
Would stay there again.
- Diana (10/5): - I stayed one night snd the staff was very nice. Room was clean I could park outside my door. Area was interesting and I wish I could have stayed longer than one night to explore.
- Brianna (8/5): - The address wasn’t matching the hotel location but easy to find thanks to signage. Small town and everything was close but only stayed the night.
- Shawn (8/5): - Very clean and comfy bed!
- Kelly (6/5): - The property was damp, air conditioning was very loud. It was clean and simple, fine for a stop while traveling through.
- Kelly (6/5): - Simple. Basic. Just what we needed for a quick rest while road tripping. Owners are very nice and friendly. And also accommodating to our pet and late check in.
- Evette (10/5): - We did not expect this quaint motel to be so nice. The customer service lady was very hospitable. The room had easy drive-up access. It also had a rustic feel to it and all the amenities one would expect: microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge. The room was very clean and the water pressure in the shower was heavenly:).
- Linda (6/5): - Spent 1 night here. The room was clean & the bed acceptable. However, it was a tired room, dark & outdated. With the location of the hotel & a refresh, it would warrant a $25 dog charge.
- April (8/5): - Great place to stay with limited options in the area. Very nice owners. Good for pets.
- Katherine (10/5): - Lovely woman checking us in. Friendly and welcoming. Loved the three separate rooms for our family of 5. Nice quiet safe town. Definitely would stay again
- Mark (6/5): - I was just looking for a room to sleep and shower in while on a road trip. I didn't need a restaurant, pool or gym; just a place to sleep. This motel fit the bill. I had no complaints.
- Barbara (10/5): Small town America - We had a great nights sleep. It is very quiet here, no freeway noise. This is a small ma and pa operation with new owners. We much prefer a sole proprietorship to keep our small towns alive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very dated, no frills. - Very dated but adequate. No breakfast. Limited power outlets. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Some "motel smell".
- Steven and Becky (8/5): - Our room was fine!! The bed was HARD AS A ROCK!!! Not good for a good night sleep!!’
- Paul (8/5): - Good place for the money. Clean and friendly staff. I would stay there again.
- stacey (10/5): - I stayed at this hotel once before and I had a great room bed and comfort was great but this time I had my dog with and we got a terrible room. Hard bed and the toilet needs to be fixed.
- Talana (10/5): - It was clean, cute and centrally located.
- Charles (2/5): Horrible bed - The bed was so uncomfortable! I could feel the springs in the mattress; had to fold the blankets to use a cushion and use a towel for a blanket. Appear night of sleep I've ever had in a hotel.
- Kenneth (10/5): - This hotel is run by a amazing Owner Operator that seems to really care about their customers and has pride in the property. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Steve (10/5): - Easy to get to easy to check in.
- Nathan (10/5): - Super accommodating and kind staff. Check in could not have been easier. Comfortable bed, comfortable blankets. Best sleep I've had since we started. Everything clean and ready for us. I'd certainly stay again. Thank you
- Loire (6/5): Lovely place but... - Owners are awesome! $25 pet fee. A bit high. Put in separate 4 suite cabin. As long as beighbors are good all is ok. Bed is terrible, quiet night though. No side table by bed for phone or glass of water etc. Shower not great and bathroom small. Great area for pets. Would not stay here again unless they upgrade the beds in pet rooms. Sorry... Being honest.
- Susan (10/5): - Nice, clean room & great folks.
- Ken (10/5): - Quiet, clean and good conditions.
- Matthew (2/5): - This was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The carpet was absolutely filthy. I can’t describe how dirty it was.
- Ronni (2/5): - We did not wind up staying. I have never seen anything as run down and filthy. Lost $100 because the insurance I paid for was a total scam. This hotel should not even be listed on Expedia
- Timothy (10/5): - Just a nice, comfortable motel. Outstanding operators, just very comfy.
- Dale (8/5): Decent, but not great - Decent and inexpensive, but thin walls and no extra lock on the door. (put the chair under the knob!) Bed was ok, but not super comfortable. But overall, would stay here again if needed.
- Rick (10/5): - Very clean, well kept rooms. Check in was quick, easy, and the staff was very helpful and friendly
- Mark (10/5): - Old school motel perfect for what we wanted. Relatively new owners and it shows in the pride they take in the property. Chains are nice..independent properties are nicer.
- Kennie (6/5): - If you’re on the road alone and need a place to crash, it works. If you have two plus people, move on. Great staff and well kept outside but needs a major remodel in the rooms.
- Kathleen (6/5): Hmm maybe - Smelled like cats had been in the room previously. Toilet handle was cracked and appeared about to come off. No hot water in the morning, at least not in the sink.
- Sherry (10/5): - Stopped for 1 nite. EXTREMELY nice ppl, very accommodating! Definitely recommend!!
- James (8/5): - Needs some upkeep. Thermostat was hanging loose so we didn’t touch it. Dining in the area is limited but not their fault. It is convenient to the highway.
- F1951FRlisak (2/5): Unclean and unsafe - Hair (pubic?) on the bathroom wall. Razor stubble in the sink. Not ours. Dirty bathroom door. Also can see light coming in all around the door. Flimsy door handle lock with no other lock or dead bolt.
- Barbara (8/5): - Very nice people to deal with. Rooms were clean and decent price. Would stay again if passing through
- Gary (10/5): - Would definitely stay there again
- Carol (8/5): - This motel was a great location for our trip into the Badlands. There was a nice little outside area to sit and a park right down the street to walk around the pond. Very clean and beds we’re comfortable.
- Vicky (10/5): - Had all we needed. Friendly staff. Clean rooms
- Ricky (8/5): - Needs to be updated
- roger (8/5): - ok
- walter (8/5): - N>ce
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean
- Beth (10/5): - Old BUT family owned and they kept it clean from window sills to tubs!! Don’t expect breakfast or a hair dryer. But you get clean white sheets and pillows.
