- Shaun (10/5): - As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Brad who offered to carry my bags and explained a lot of information about the local area, and said if I needed anything to just let him know. The building is easily accessible from the car park with the use of a key card which allows you to come and go at all hours. The room was amazing, clean, very modern and the bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. The room has everything you need such as smart tv, fridge and coffee machine. I honestly can’t fault this place, will definitely stay again if I am down this way again

We were warmly greeted by our host and escorted to a lovely decorated and well appointed room. A good choice of local eatery's is available within a short stroll. A tasteful continental breakfast was available to ready us for a day sightseeing in the town and local area. Highly recommended.

- Brewer (8/5): Great decoration and location. - Very friendly and attentive staff and the room was lovely. The decor was perfect - realy well done. Plenty of convenient parking and even an EV charger. No cooked breakfast at all and the continetal was not great value for money, so we went out to a local cafe instead.

Tavistock town centre is a quick walk along the road where you can buy local produce and gifts etc. locals were lovely and friendly as well. Bit of a climb up two flights of stairs so not for those who have mobility issues but it was fine for me. The room was spacious and well appointed and modern and clean. Recommendations were given for food and I was extremely grateful for this as the pub I visited was incredible. Rooms are spotless and breakfast set me up for the day. Don't be put off by not having a cooked breakfast. Fruit and coffee was exceptional. Everything was spot on. Very quiet and Brad was very sociable when it mattered. The room and hotel itself is spotless and maintained to a very high standard. I was worried about parking but there was plenty of spaces. Didn't need car charging but it was offered to me and available. I couldn't find any fault. WiFi was good for work, shower facilities were better than most hotel chains of 4 star or above.

- Nicholas (10/5): Restful and well good town house hotel. - The only problem I had was the width of the room’s chair, which was too small for the girth of my seat. Other than this, I did not mention it to the proprietors due to being preoccupied. In hindsight I should have said so. The proprietors were always on hand and providing exceptional service. This hotel is one I would stay at again. In all honesty, there was nothing to get upset about. The breakfasts were all seriously continental by British standards. What one would expect: cereal, toast, coffee/tea, really good pastries, home made smoothie, and a rather quirky egg boiler that delivered perfectly cooked eggs while one indulged in the rest.

- Rachael (8/5): A lovely stay, yummy breakfast, and very nice hosts. - Breakfast was yummy, but wasn't included in the Booking.com booking, as it turns out that bookings via Booking.com are Room Only, which was disappointing, so had to pay for breakfast on the day of departure. Very smart facilities in room and en suite. Enjoyed the honesty bar, and the photo book with all the restoration work done in 2014 on the amazing 1820s building. Didn't manage to find out about directions to parking at the rear of the hotel, which might have been handy, but in the end we parked on the street out front instead, which was fine as no restrictions.

- Margaret (10/5): - I had a fantastic stay at Tavistock House. My room was very comfortable and I had everything I needed. The owners are extremely kind and hospitable and the breakfast was excellent. The furnishings are modern and simple. The hotel was much better than I expected even though I had read other very positive reviews. Highly recomended.
- James (10/5): A great stay - Well worthy of the 10/10 rating. Immaculate and characterful property, with friendly and welcoming owner. I had to leave early for work one morning before breakfast, I was greeted with a great take bag with breakfast goodies, they go the extra mile, would highly recommend.
- Georgie (10/5): Best place to dry in Plymouth - Brad and Gil were fabulous. I was greeted with a big smile and welcomed by Brad he is outgoing confident and makes you feel at home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I stayed in the the king deluxe en-suite decoration and interior was superb. I thought the goody box of treats which include ‘biscuits’ ‘hot chocolate’ tea/coffee was a nice touch. The breakfast and lunch was superb I will certainly be coming back this is the ONLY place I will stay when visiting Plymouth - Omar brown

- Alan (10/5): - Wonderful stay at Tavistock House Hotel the hotel is immaculate, rooms spotless very tastefully decorated modern and contemporary. The bed was so so comfy with the edition of Nespresso coffee machine and small bottle of port in the room we found this a nice touch. Breakfast excellent and they had alternatives to milk if required. The hosts are very friendly. It was nice to be able to park in their private car park. Now we have found this little gem we will definitely be back as soon as we can

The room was wonderful - very comfortable and spacious with plenty of amenities for a pleasant stay. Will certainly come back here and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Tavistock.

- Amritpal (10/5): Fabulous Hotel - Bradley the owner couldn't have done anymore to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard and is one of the nicer hotels i have stayed in over the last few years. Rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable, shower is a rainfall type and large, and there are plenty of the usual amenities in the room to keep you comfortable and entertained. Breakfast was also very good and with the current Covid environment the table service was comparable to a top restaurant. Needless to say that i will stay here again.
