Also it was nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and eating utensils in the room. I though the room smelled a bit like urine - maybe someone before us had a pet or something? Parking in front of the units was a bit disorganized - maybe consider adding some striping to maximize the number of cars that can park near the doors.

They also let us stay in our room when we added a 3rd night last minute. Easy access to main roads. Perhaps provide poop bags for dog waste. We brought our own but noticed lots of piles from our neighbors dog.

• Diana (9/5): Perfect getaway place! - The location is right on the bay and was beautiful. It is just a mile to all town amenities and close to Potawotami state park. In better weather it would be walkable to town. Kitchenette was perfect for storing and warming food. The fireplace was the best! Despite the winter wind, it was always warm inside. Everything was very clean. Hot tub is older and needed help to get it going. The bed is a little soft if you need firmer.

The plates were dirty and we couldn’t find any sponge to wash the dishes, the soap was available but not the sponge. Microwave wasn’t rotating when using it.

Awesome - right on water, wake up to sunny water and ducks swimming around you. Boat house at the inn for larger bathroom accommodations. Very quiet, warm enough. Really nice. Very friendly and helpful owners. The water pressure/pump system was pretty poor in the Regal Boat. The water would initially come out cloudy and had a strong chemical odor to it. Occurred in both sinks and shower, the water would spurt out, stop running, then spurt out again every time you would turn it on. If you turned on the facet a little, it would barely trickle out - if you turned it up, it would spurt/stop/spurt. The water pump/maybe container? Just need some attention for sure. Otherwise it was great.

• Kathy (9/5): Great visit to see fall colors and explore Door County Peninsula - Room was small but quite functional. Good value for the money and very clean. Staff was very accommodating as my husband has a prosthetic leg and they ensured our shower had a grab bar and accesss to a shower chair. Loved the view of sturgeon bay. The weather - but you can’t conteol that.

Curtains difficult to close and window air-conditioning kept blowing open Toilet seat cracked. Chair in room was very low and uncomfortable. Low toilet. Very little bathroom counter space.

• Pamela H (9/5): Lovely fall stay - Apartment was very comfortable for 3 of us with plenty of room to spread out. The view of the Bay from the rooms was amazing. The shower was powerful and spacious. The kitchen area was all we needed with coffee pot and Door Co. coffee grounds and a toaster. Check the handle on the patio doors as one was missing from the outside.

We love the location, the friendliness of the staff, the service, and especially that the cottages are dog friendly. Definitely one of our favorite places to stay! The staff, particularly Innkeeper Lori, were helpful and responsive. The kitchen was well equipped, and the living room furniture was comfortable.

• Susan (6/5): - Quick and easy check in. Beautiful view from the room and the inn is located directly on the waterfront. This is a pet friendly, which was evident by the cleanliness of the room. There was pet hair everywhere! Within five minutes, my friend’s socks looked like a dust rag. I wish I could post a picture on this review. Also note that the stairs to the loft are steep and narrow. This may be a concern for some with mobility issues.

• Shannen (10/5): - We've visited Sturgeon Bay four times in as many years, and each time we've admired the Snug Harbor Inn from a distance—this year, we finally made it our home base, and we're so glad we did! The location couldn't be better—set in a safe, scenic area right on the water, it offers beautiful views and a quick drive to the downtown restaurants and shops. The nightly rate was very affordable, especially considering the prime location and easy access to all that Door County has to offer. Our room was very clean and well-kept, though a bit on the small side. That said, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was a little on the firm side, so not the most luxurious sleep, but honestly, we were mostly there to rest after full days of exploring—so it did the job just fine. Overall, Snug Harbor Inn lived up to our expectations and then some. We felt relaxed, safe, and welcomed—and we’d definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sturgeon Bay!

• Debbie (8/5): - Very quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. The handle on the door to the waterfront deck was missing on the outside and pulled through from the inside. One of the dimmer switch knobs was missing, the spiral staircase was very squeaky/noisy. Host and staff were very nice and helpful.

• Danielle (10/5): Cottage 4 - My husband and I planned a trip to Sturgeon Bay for a guided fishing trip. We booked cottage 4 at Snug Harbor for the long weekend. It was perfect for us! It is nestled right on the water and close to many attractions. A big perk is the outdoor Tiki bar across the street. One downfall was being right next to a boat launch, those boats at 3am are not the quietest.

Cottages are so cute and kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, paper towel, new sponges, dish soap and even tin foil! Little outdated but kept clean!! Really comfortable pillows and beds. Great AC. Snug Harbor does a great job and they keep it affordable. The staff is soooooo nice. They love dogs and it’s a dog friendly property. Was just $15 a night for my dog. Great parking. Free wifi. About 3 miles to the action on Third Ave.
