Guest Reviews
- Gizmo-San (3/5): Fortunately we only stayed for one night! - You can actually jump right into the reef in front of the resort and go snorkling and free diving at the grand crack close by. However there seem to be only very small runs of sardines left. But the reef is real pretty and worth diving of snorkling for a day or two. Where to start? The room door was so bend in, we were barely able to lock the room at all. There was a dreadful odor coming from the bathroom. While the category states "Deluxe Double", let me assure you this was the most basic, run-down, standard-room with no luxury or premium amenities in sight. The towels had stains, the bath mat was dirty - not a place you want to stay for long!

- Flora May (1/5): - The cliff view This place is not nice. Had a quick lunch in their restaurant, ordered some food and rice platter and they served us with a very cheap commercial rice, it has discoloration and it smelled like mildew, it's the kind that I would sometimes buy to cook for our dogs, I'm not kidding. I asked the staff why would they serve customers this kind of rice when we're paying for it, it's a resort, for god's sake! It's not even the standard mid-range price rice but the very cheap broken rice. He said that was what the management buys for them and that's what they serve to paying customers too. It was horrible, my son mistook it for fried rice because of the color and he ended up not eating. We drove to Alona to eat.
And inside the room, the AC was blasting and totally noisy and the beddings were flimsy, if I had known, I would have bought our own comforters. We were shivering from the cold, we turned off the AC for a bit but turned it back on because there were mosquitoes!
- Mihai-Robert (8/5): Good location if you are looking for diving nearby. - The location is great for diving, as it is close to Napaling Reef. They also offer diving equipment for rent, and there is a restaurant where you can have breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious, with warm water and good water pressure. There are no convenience stores or ATMs nearby. Since the place is not near the main road, you may need to call a tricycle driver or rent a motorbike to get around.
- Gezekiel (6/5): The Location and the price is excellent and thier staff are amazing friendly - The price says it all, it could be more better if there is no visible unwanted parking area in the new bldg. and more clean and upgraded furniture and fixtures Property is a perfect location property have develop the cleanliness of the room
- Ian (1/5): Desperate.. no tourist use the hotel . Run down - Its a dive centre for koreans and they start a noisy class at 6am in the pool right outside my door Hotel staff attitude
- Rosanne (8/5): It was all good. - The location was great since its near the dive sites. The restaurant could improve. They dont have enough to offer There are broken faucets in the cr.

- Angela (5/5): - Prime location on reef with direct access. The staff are all upset and sad by the appalling things happening next to property where some mega five star resort is basically invading EVERYTHING. This resort is clinging on by a thread. it's overwhelming and distressing to see as divers. however, the rooms were immaculate and price reflected facilities. Our guide was fabulous and took lots of photos of us together. There is a massive resort being built immediately next to this gorgeous dive site. Almera can do little to fight back, New resort is up to boundary !.. overpowering and very very noisy with lots of rubbish everywhere along the path. Plastic (polystyrene constantly being burnt) actually, that was by both this property and the development next door. The water we ALL come for was full of debris from the building site next door ( tossed in from storm) and the irony of the sign stating this was declared a nature reserve was not lost ... Shame profit over environment will have a massive impact on that resort . Staff were lovely. But their grief was palatable. the reef itself was wall to wall people. And that's also annoying sewing all the boats full of people stomping on reeds ( I say this with sadness but mostly Koreans doing it) And finally THERE ARE NO SARDINE BALLS here. Even at drop off, They all left ( actually, stocks haven't been replenished since COVID when local fishermen ate them) I would love nothing more than say go anyway, reef if actually amazing with everything above. One night stay recommended 100% is adequate here and it is with a heavy heart I write that review as the work they have done over the years to protect it is lost, this will now be only good for a free diving Instagram post of people pretending they are free diving... Whilst stomping of reef.

- Rachael (personal) (8/5): Great for teaching diving, and I'll certainly be back! :-) - This resort is right next to the beautiful Napaling reef, and has an onsite dive shop. There is also a dive instruction pool. I used all three of these facilities in my work that week as an independent diving instructor.
The whole place is a sort of animal sanctuary too, which is lovely.
The staff were kind and helpful. And the owners let us use the function room one evening, to do some work in - because the internet in our room was not good (see next box). Our room, which was nice though small, was not cleaned or serviced at all, the entire week. There wasn't a bathroom bin for the placing of used toilet roll, so we had to improvise with a plastic bag that we'd brought. We also had to specifically ask each evening for mosquito-killing spray. And the internet provision to our room was extremely poor - to the extent that I had to conduct a middle-of-the-night online meeting (with Europe) outside on the porchway!
The pool wasn't cleaned very well every day - some days much better than others.
And the side of the pool, and the poolside furniture, could do with some TLC!
- R (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nabi (8/5): Very good -
- Glen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (2/5): Very poor -
- Melo (5/5): Just ok - The facility need to be clean. Dirty washrooms, smelly and dirty roomS, pillows and beds
- Michael (6/5): - Rooms were not ready when we checked in.
Location, Location, Location. Probably the best Snorkeling/Dive Spot in Panglao.
- Earl (8/5): - the swimming and snorkeling was excellent, the water was clear and the blue coral was beautiful!! great for diving! The property is beautifully landscaped and the plants are well taken care of. cons; the dining room is open air "little selection" and the hotel dogs bother with you for food scraps
- Janaka (3/5): Poor -
- Cicel (6/5): staffs are accomodating, rooms should be readily provided with soap and shampoo.Internet is too slow. - the view of the sea side the sorroundings it seems that it’s not being maintained
- Evelyn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cimino (2/5): Very poor - Unbelievable Nothing
- Rey (8/5): Very good -
- Angeline (1/5): Both booking site and the hotel staff wasn’t helpful. - We like quite and the room was good. All of us wishing not to have dogs and cats in the resort. The swimming pool was very dirty. There were lots of mosquitoes. Dogs are barking. Booking.com said breakfast was included but when I successfully booked it end up we have to pay of 250 pesos per head. Booking.com didn’t help ask anyways during our stay. I would never recommend at all to anyone. If there’s a “0” rating I would give that. That was a horrible experience we had on Father’s Day.
- Grace (6/5): Decent but could be better. - location with stairs to Napaling reef, nice by the ocean and access to the reef. I went for freediving training where I could swim out to meet my re-arranged coach from an academy nearby. property seems not well maintained, as if it once was nice but got kind of run down. the pool does not look like it’s even being filtered properly, there are several dogs that occasionally bark nonstop, the customer service is ok, the gals were polite but not overly friendly. The booking description seems better than reality. My booking said ‘Deluxe’ with ocean, pool, garden view with nicer photos, however the real room was in a 2-story building towards the back of the property away from the ocean. The Dirt road leading into the towery is really bumpy (mind your scooter). Overall it was alright for the location and access to Napaling reef. Location is otherwise far from eateries (15 min scooter), it’s more country, and was mostly quiet with nice gardens.
- Kps80 (5/5): Passable - The access to the reef was excellent, and a great place to watch the sunsets. The main pool was clean. The front desk employees were always happy and helpful. The hotel dogs were friendly and we loved the 7 puppies. I have to admit that it was nice to stop by the restaurant and grab a cold San Miguel to watch the sunsets. The advertised dive shop was closed our entire 4 days. There's a TV in the room but there is no cable or satellite so there isn't any use for a TV. The bathroom sink drain wasn't working. The sink drain went to the bathroom floor. The restaurant was kind of open. Great menu but, we don't have that, we don't have that over and over. Miss the bumgun. I was just getting use to using it. The WiFi was awful. It had a refrigerator but you couldn't have the TV and refrigerator running at the same time. Needed a third outlet.
- Daniel (7/5): Nice experience with the fishes - This is a dive/freedive snorkeling resort and the main thing to see here is the sardines very close to shore. It is a bit off from other things and the focus is on diving so if your not into that this is probably not for you.
- Vance (4/5): Poor value, friendl service but not professionally - There seemed to be a pack of dogs in the area barking all through the night. One about 3 doors down from our room that appeared to belong to a staff or manager there. The walkway was gated with a sign to keep closed to keep the dog in, the stairs smell of dog urine and the steps were dirty. THe room we were given on check in did not look like the one pictured and had only one bed. We objected and were moved to the type of room pictured. There was an electrical brown out which in not uncommon, it was uncommon that the resort had no generator. We were told it had a generator for water only but it wasn't working.
- Doris (8/5): - Customer service superb 👍✔️
- Verified traveler (4/5): disappointing - very disappointing experience at Almira Diving Resort...
- Jeffery (10/5): Exelent - Love this place peaple are so nice thank you so much
- Kristian (8/5): Friendliest staff - We stayed 2 nights at Almiras. Our first impression was not very good. But after spending 2 days we loved the place. The staff at Almiras is the friendliest staff on earth. The really try their best to make you feel welcome. We love Almiras, and I highly recommend it. This the quietest and most relaxing place in Panglao. Try it out :-)
- Claes (2/5): - Ödsligt, helt ute i ingenmansland. Hade betalt för 8 nätter, flyttade efter en natt! Katastrof!
- Cebu Boy (4/5): - Defective toilet bowl flush, defective shower curtain, clogged sink, no towels when we arrived and so on...
- Verified traveler (8/5): プールがよかった - 快適でした。
広々としてました。
フロントと関わる機会はなかったです。
プールは広くなかなかよかったです。
シャワー室は狭かったです。
- Samuel L (6/5): Great Hideway! - new buildings and nice area but very very isolated from anything else!
