Guest Reviews
- elsa (8/5): - The management, even when away from the
- Daniela (8/5): - Personale gentilissimo.

- Melora (6/5): - The best part was at check in, we were helped by a very nice man who walked us to the unit (5 min away), carried my bag over the bridges, and not only explained the amenities in the unit, but also gave us all kinds of advice about the Vaparetto, where to take a gondola ride, and how to get to the airport. Other than that, I wish I had picked a different accommodation because it was so far from the train station and there are so many bridge crossings and ways to get lost in between that it would have been much more convenient to stay closer. The shared bathroom was also a negative for us. Having stayed in two other Italian cities prior to Venice where we had private bathrooms, by comparison it really was quite an inconvenience to have to cart your toiletries back-and-forth and hope that the bathroom/shower will be available when you need it. Also, because it is a shared unit with another bedroom, sharing a living room, kitchen and bathroom with you, there is the possibility you will not be securely locked in the unit if the other people have to check out first and leave their keys in their room. Overall, the accommodations were very basic and average. I know Venice must be expensive overall, but it seems like we paid too much for what we got.
- Yan Fen (10/5): - We love the location and your staff service.
But we found ants in the room.
Hopefully can eliminate the ants
- Wayne (4/5): Be Honest - They did not tell us that we would be sharing the room with strangers. Very disappointing
Muchas gracias!!!
- rodrigo (10/5): - Great locatipn, the only thing is that check in is in other address which is not clear when you rent the apartment, so take this inyo consideration. But overall sray was good
- Morag (10/5): - Good well priced place for Venice , had kitchen which was a bonus, clean tidy , it’s an apartment that you share with one other room , it’s located in a quiet area but close to everything.
The only thing that lets this place down is the check in service and no tourist information, otherwise a great place to stay in Venice I would stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great time, thank you! Room was situated close to great food.
- Jeremiah (10/5): Quality does come cheap. - I stayed at the beginning of winter and had a good, warm and comfortable time in this hotel. I was on a 5th floor and didn’t mind to take the stairs. There is a lift but it can only fit one person and one luggage, so take note of that.
The hotel is located within the hotel district close to the Termini train station. It’s also about a 20 minute walk to the Trevi fountain.
Overall, it’s a budget hotel but it’s comfortable, clean and warm! Cheap doesn’t have to mean you give up on quality.
Breakfast is complimentary but it’s at a cafe 5 minute walk away. It’s also simple, but you can always pay for any additional food you want.
- Lawrence (10/5): Sweet Venice - First the bad news: if you’re trying to find the b&b (Sweet Venice) and you have your bags or your child or both with you, get ready for a headache: the check in location— which is different than the location of the guest room— was nearly impossible to find, even with intervention from locals (who were also baffled about where the place was) and Google Maps, which was every bit as confused by the maze of Venice as we were. So be sure that you have international calling (you will undoubtedly have to contact the hotel and have the staff guide you to the location), comfortable shoes, a decent amount of time and light bags. ....The good news: once you find the place, you’ll be treated to a very clean, comfortable room with great amenities and access to one of the quieter areas of Venice ( a beautiful city as long as you have the aforementioned comfy shoes, light bags and unlimited time).
- Nicolas (8/5): Sweet Venice : pas mal. - Point positif :
Appartement propre.
- Scott (8/5): Ok Venice - This place seems more like a high end hostel than a hotel to me. It seems like there are two floors, each with two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Everything on my floor was modern and nice looking. There is good AC in the room, and the shared bathroom is fine. I have two main complaints. One, there if no soap, shampoo, etc. provided, which means you need to pack it to stay here. Two, you have to check in at a different location that is approximately a five minute walk away. This is pretty inconvenient in Venice if you haven't packed extremely lightly, since you need to cross several bridges (with steps up and down) to get from one to the other. In addition, the check in location is actually farther from the main attractions and thoroughfares of Venice than the actual room location, so the whole check-in process is pretty bothersome.
- Minpunten:
- gehorig
- wiebelig bed
Pluspunten:
- Simpel ontbijt
- Perfecte ligging
- Betaalbaar
- Schoon
- Rustige wijk
- Dicht bij San Marco
- Behulpzaam personeel
- Arthur (10/5): you get what you paid for - if you don't mind sharing an apartment with strangers this is great. The use of the small kitchen is invaluable. 2 minutes to the coop supermarket kept us out of restaraunts. You must be able to walk and carry your own luggage for this to work.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel and very affordable. - This is a quality inexpensive hotel, that provides great service and has a wonderful free breakfast included.
- Juan Falla (8/5): Good stay. - I was 4 night. Room is big and comfortable, but wifi does not working well perhaps it had some problems when I was there. If you are going to stay here I recommend you arrive before night because Venice is very quiet at and alone at nights.
Breakfast was free for me, I am not sure it was just for season. You can use kitchen to cook if you want and use refrigerator as well.
In general good for price I paid, I recommend it. It is very big room and clean.
Stanza pulita e staff cordiale
- Jose Aguirre (8/5): Venezia trip - nice apartment but no a/c lots of mosquitos
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable room, comfortable bed. Very clean facilities and good location.
- ron (8/5): No frills but all the essentials. - We did have a lovely stay at Sweet Venice. Our room was just as advertised and sharing the bathroom was not a problem as it is only shared with guests in the other bedroom. The location was perfect, off the tourist track but close enough to EASILY walk to any attraction on the island. The kitchenette was quite handy and although it was a shared space, but again, only shared by the guests staying in the other bedroom. There was even bread and jam to make toast in the morning! We had a VERY late arrival time so we appreciated the host making check-in quite easy by coming to our room the next morning to take care of paperwork. Otherwise we didn't see the host at all, but the bathroom and kitchen area was cleaned each day. One criticism was that we were provided only 2 bath towels for two of us during our stay. I do wish that small towels had been provided or that fresh towels had been left. We aren't so fussy, but for a 3 day stay, fresh towels would have been nice. Also, no soap was provided for the shower so be sure to bring some. Overall a lovely, no-frills place to stay in a great location for a good price. Thank you!
- mona (10/5): Nice hotel close to St. Mark Square - Wonderful experience!! It was nice to have a kitchen with all the basic amenities.
- Avijit (10/5): - It was a great stay. It was a newly constructed building so looked very neat. We were also provided with breakfast for free.
- Kathleen (6/5): Avoid this place - This hotel was a nightmare to get to- do your research well in advance of arriving in Venice. We arrived in Venice in almost 90 degree weather via the train station with our multiple backpacks/suitcases. As there is no address when you go to book this hotel I was unable to see the exact location of this establishment. From the train station it will cost $80+ Euros to get you there- there are the public water taxis which we opted to take- but this required us to make an international phone call several times to the person who runs this place to get directions on where we were meeting him. Over an hour later via public water taxi we had arrived roughly 2 blocks away from the apartment style place. Actual accommodations were fine and the locations was nearby the typical touristy shops- but the stress of finding it would make me never ever stay here again. Opt for a hotel with a real name and a real location.
- TERRY (8/5): Sweet venice!! - Once we learned our neighborhood, it was outstanding.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel in Venice - Terrible hotel
- Rahni (8/5): A nice room tucked into a nook in Venice - I enjoyed my stay at Sweet Venice. It was difficult to find, but once we did we met some really wonderful suitemates. There is lots of kitchen/fridge space available, the A/C worked beautifully, and the beds were comfortable. The only downsides were that you could hear everything in the next room (however, our neighbors were quiet), and a check-out time of 10am is pretty early. Very clean rooms and we enjoyed the use of free WiFi.
- John (8/5): Enjoyable stay at Sweet Venice - I stayed at a an apartment with two bedrooms shared bathroom and kitchen. It was clean well furnished, good Wi-Fi and having the facility to make tea and coffee etc. was a bonus. It is in an excellent location, right in the centre of Venice a few minutes walk from San Marco square. The only point to note is that access is via two flights of stairs hence guests must be sufficiently active re climbing stairs.
