- Peta (1/5): - Nothing I arrived with my Assistance Dog - which I had emailed to let them know about. Immediately, the gentleman demanded a cleaning fee for my AD saying that been agreed upon but it had not. Legislation states ADs are not pets but Medical Aids and unless the dog causes damage, a motel can not request a cleaning fee. The man was not interested in the AD legislation or that I was a Veteran which he rudely asked, "A Veteran of What?". In the end, I stated I could not stay as my Mental Health would be at Risk. I went on to another motel who welcomed my mother and I with my AD; even they had a no pet policy. The new Management needs to learn about ADs and that I am not out to have my dog stay with me for free. ADs go through rigorous training, undergo regular testing to access the Public and are essential to it's handler. I could have taken this situation to Court and know that the fines for individuals can be up $5 000 and up to $25 000 to an organisation - per breach.

The towels, bed, linen were very clean and of good quality; all basic practical necessities were well considered- soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers, toaster, microwave, kettle, bar fridge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, biscuits and TV. Although the building is old and seems a little run down, the room was thoughtfully set up and more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. Great communication with staff too. It was all great for a quick stopover. Nothing we could ask more.

Provision of an internet service. Inclusion of fly wire on the windows to prevent bugs from entering the premises. This room could indeed do with a makeover given its poor quality - fresh paint, repairs to bathroom area etc.

We appreciated the the effort that’s being made to improve the facilities - such as the towel rail in the bathroom. It would be better if a narrow bench with some stools and an accessible PowerPoint or a small table with a couple of chairs could be provided in room 1 & 2 for tea making and a shelf or small cupboard in the bathroom would be great. - Terry (9/5): I would certainly stay again. - I had booked a family room. We were late arriving after a two hour delay due to a Hume Highway closure. While stuck on the highway, my daughter phoned the motel to say we would be arriving outside reception hours. She was told we were being upgraded to an apartment. This was so much appreciated. The apartment was perfect for us with separate bedrooms and more space than we needed. It was clean and the beds comfortable. I don't have any complaints. I did notice a couple of things looking a bit old and tired, but I know the motel is currently being renovated.

Really surprised that we were the only ones there, the whole place was empty maybe because its not the showy season!. Scared at first but Everything went great.. place was clean and comfortable. And also affordable..

- Margery (8/5): Excellent value and location. - Very friendly staff. Unit was well equipped with kitchen including oven and microwave, fridge, cooking utensils . Excellent towels . One street back from Main Street. This is an older style motel which is being renovated but excellent value and very comfortable.

- Anne (8/5): It was comfortable and a good night sleep to break a long journey. - We paid for a King Room and were given an upgrade to an apartment, which was clean and comfortable with a kitchen. The location was great close to town we walked to a great Chinese restaurant for dinner. The parking on site was limited and not in front of our room, but when you can walk to town it didn't really matter.
