• Jessica (8/5): - Room was very clean and spacious. Only downside was that the bathroom door didn’t slide closed all the way and couldn’t be locked. And the toilet chain kept getting stuck. But the biggest downside of our stay was the parking. We came back one evening to a full lot and had nowhere to go. There should be marked spaces with room numbers. Location was fantastic and the free weekend breakfast was some of the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had.

• Patrick (10/5): - Wonderful Motel in Wilmington, NY (Whiteface Mountain) with updated casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and an onsite restaurant and bar that provide delicious, thoughtful, and farm fresh cuisine and cocktail, mocktail, beer, cider, and wine options. The newly renovated double room included a mini fridge, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable, and air conditioning, among other amenities. The motel is dog friendly (call ahead to ensure room is pet friendly and pay small pet fee). 1 minute drive/6 minutes walk to downtown Wilmington and about 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Other onsite amenities include a communal kitchen, ski tuning room, outdoor fire pit, seating areas (covered and uncovered), community grille, and weekend breakfast buffet (try the muffins). Just a few minutes drive to local hiking spots. Adirondack Chocolate and Gift Shop is just around the corner accessible via sidewalk. Would Highly Recommend 10/10
• Michael (10/5): - The outdoor area was beautiful, we especially loved the fire pit! The room was nice. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful with any needs. We also really appreciated the amount of towels we had in our room, with a family of 6 we usually always have to ask for more towels, but this place gave plenty (10 towels!). There is a beautiful beach right down the road, with a playground and kayak rental. We walked, it was about 14 minutes, but would have been only a 5 minute drive! I highly suggest going!
• Michele (10/5): - I loved everything. The ease of parking right outside of your room. The grounds were so pretty at night, kit up and a real fire pit. It was peaceful. Shelly and her staff were always available with any questions. I ate dinner the 1st night there and it was delicious and welcoming. I even extended my stay a night. I booked it to see the Olympics ice skating championships which was just a 15 minute drive. There really isn't anything around there to eat or shop so just got to Hannafords ahead of time.

The room had a great entrance with a cubby for ski gear and bags as well as a boot tray for wet shoes. The breakfast was deliciously homemade. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was so good it felt like we had a home cooked meal.
• innes (10/5): - We had a great time staying at Cadence Lodge. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. It was a super cute room, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. They also have a shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, cooktop etc. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent alongside the drinks and service. I loved the vegetarian options. We would have eaten there on Monday/Tuesday if they had been open. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay.
• Noel (10/5): - Great location, very close to Whiteface and lots of hiking trails. We stayed here as they are Dog friendly. Check-in and out was easy and it was great to have a restaurant on site after a day of adventures. Get the Pork chop!

The shower heads were very low and we had issues with the hot water while we were there, but they were address immeidately after we broight it to their attention. We had the complimentary breakfast on the Sunday and it was good. The eating space and the hotel rooms are on the darker side. Overall it was a good experience.

• Cindy (10/5): - As people who often camp in tents, we are admittedly not picky about accommodations. But I was very, very happy with my stay here. Everything was clean, everyone was super friendly, and the outdoor area was such a nice offering. It allowed us to spread out beyond the basic motel room offered. I really liked the decor, the storage cubbies, and the restaurant as well. I would just suggest the hotel paint some parking space lines, as space gets wasted as soon as one or two people don't center their cars properly. Also, you may want to check the water pressure on the sink in room 38. I know you would have addressed this while we were there, but we didn't care too much since we spent most of our days out and about. Travelers should just be aware that this is a basic motel which is clean and updated with fun outdoor offerings, a free weekend breakfast and nice restaurant.

• Keith (10/5): Nice place - The cadence lodge is a classic 50’s era lodge that has been modernized while retaining the classic charm of that bygone era. Rooms were very clean with comfortable bedding. The onsite restaurant had great upscale food and drinks and the staff were all super friendly. Outside there was a pavilion with fire pit that was great to sit around at night.

• Ronald (10/5): - My wife and I spent 2 nights at Cadence Lodge. We had an excellent meal there the first night. We viewed the property and it's facilities and we're very impressed. The room was clean, comfortable and in good working order. We liked the Ski themed decorations in our room. The lodge offers a gas outdoor grill, a wonderful enclosed patio with power, water and a built in fireplace. You could bring your own steaks, cook them and eat outdoors. Staff there is friendly and accommodating to your needs. We will stay here again.

The restaurant no-site was wonderful! It’s so cute, and the food was delicious. So happy that they have added the restaurant now. We will definitely be back!

• Chanterelle (10/5): - Cadence Lodge is a wonderful place to stay for a short weekend or an extended stay. The owners, Shelley and Don, are terrific hosts, are very attentive, and have made this lodge feel so cozy, comfortable, and clean. The home cooked breakfasts and dinners are excellent. We never want to leave when it’s time to check out, and neither does our dog who loves it just as much as we do. This is our go-to place to stay in Lake Placid.
