Guest Reviews
- Jill (10/5): We really enjoyed it and would stay there again. - The location to town was great. It was a walkable distance. The TV service and internet was not the best. But that was not the reason we stayed there.
- G-J (5/5): Adequate, reasonably comfortable, spartan. - The place was reasonable, good location, reasonably clean, albeit spartan. It had a coffeemaker, fridge, and microwave. TV had TCM, always a plus! Bed wasn't too comfortable (although the pillows were nice!) It was very noisy all night and the walls must be very thin.
- Geneva (8/5): -
- Guest (10/5): Lovely - The room was so clean and smelt so good there was enough soap and towels the pillows were so soft and cozy and just the right amount. The TV was very low on sound it was hard to here and the AC was not ideal but besides for the technical aspect everything was completely up to standard
- Nancy (9/5): A comfortable stay for one night. - Everything was clean and in good working order. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Decent size room. It seemed to be very quiet even though it was busy. It was a little pricey. Not the best breakfast comparatively.
- Emilie (7/5): -
- Jack (5/5): - Location was great Room was small
- Lauri (10/5): - Very clean, quiet, comfortable beds Zero complaints. Even other guests were friendly
- Patricia (9/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): - The desk staff was very pleasant and the room was perfect!
- Susan (10/5): - Lovely motel just over the bridge. We enjoyed our stay!
- John (10/5): - Everything was great at this hotel. It is dated, but clean and kept up.
We felt safe
- James (9/5): -
- Anna (8/5): -
- Rene (8/5): - The room had everything we needed – it was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and it stayed quiet throughout our stay. They even offered a free continental breakfast, and we really liked the location.
- Kate (10/5): - Very clean, quiet, comfortable beds.
- Jocelyn (9/5): - Clean, easy to find We like an earlier breakfast, 8 is late
- Gerald (6/5): - Was nice. Close to everything. Breakfast was in the office. Didn’t open till 8 am.
- Chuck (8/5): - For the lower price, this was a good stay. Bed very comfortable. Sound of other rooms bathroom / shower use was noisy thru bathroom fan. Convenient location.
- Lori (8/5): - Yes, but when they came into clean our room while we were out, they never locked the door.
- William (8/5): - Parking was good. Heating was good. Small continental breakfast but sufficient. This motel was a excellent buy for the price.
- Roxanne (10/5): - Parking right in front of our door. Rooms very clean. Housekeeping very helpful when we asked for extras.
- Verkaik (5/5): Room extremely small - There was no breakfast. Office locked at 8am The address given did not help us to get to the motel. Our GPS could not find the place. Had to call several times for assistance.
- Paul (2/5): - The old adage that "You only have one chance to make a good impression" is so true. Our first impression went from bad to worse. First off, the office entrance is not handicapped accessible. Secondly, the person who checked us in had very poor interpersonnal communication skills. Her demeanor was sullen to the point of rudeness and definitely not welcoming to guests. Once we checked in she made no attempt to give us directions to our room, the wi-fi password, etc. Thirdly, while the room itself looked neat and clean we found out later that was not the case. There are very few outlets to plug devices in. Lastly, the shower has no grab bars. the only grab bar is across the bathroom being used as a towel rack. The toilet is not the ADA recommended height, also no grab bars. Also the toilet seat was so loose it alsomost came off the toilet. Now on to the tub. Also no grab bars. There were no grippers on the bottom of the tub floor so when you have the combination of water and soap residue make the tub extremely slippery. Then when my husband stepped into the shower after walking around barefoot in the room he looked down at his feet and there were dirt footprints on the tub floor. Obviously the carpet was filthy. If you have any accessibility issues this is not a safe hotel to stay at.
- Misty (10/5): - This is an older but suuuuper clean hotel! The bathroom was emasculate and the carpet was spotless. It was the perfect find while traveling through!
- Rob (8/5): - AC unit didn’t work in first room we were provided. Second room was bigger and AC worked
- Daniel (6/5): - Clean room, breakfast only continental. Excellent restaurant in walking distance.
- maria (8/5): - It's a good motel ,clean, quiet, breakfast not good
- Tracy (10/5): - Super clean rooms at a great price! Will definitely stay again
- richard (6/5): - Staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean. The rooms themselves are the smallest I've been in. Two chairs outside of every room. A lot of people using these made things a little noisy.
- George (7/5): Budget accomodation. - It has a good location in St. Ignace not far from entering the city and the ferry to Mackinaw Island. The room is not bad. It's a motel. The breakfast is not that good. It;s a table with food and coffee on a separate table. The bagels seemed old.
- Jane (8/5): -
- Dennis (7/5): I would stay again - Cost.
Clean The curtains did not keep their light from their sign from lighting up our room
- Jennifer (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
- Ann (8/5): - We had a queen room it was much smaller than the photo. It was sufficient and clean.
- kerrie (10/5): - small but nice and clean.
- Todd (7/5): I won’t use them again. - Great location Lots of outside noise. It sounded like people were in your room
- Jason (7/5): - It was very clean and location is good. Was going to stay an extra night - but was told $90... which is a bit much.
- Ricky (5/5): - The breakfast was just cold cereal and a few donuts. Nothing special.
- Mary (7/5): -
- Mary A (9/5): -
- Pete (10/5): - Perfect for our needs. Small but only staying one night and arrived late. They called to confirm our late arrival and were very thorough in explaining how to check in. Clean and comfortable room. Good choices for breakfast on the go.
- Clark (5/5): Clark and I would like a refund ofThe desk clerk ( wasn’t even behind thei - We didn’t eat there. Ate at restaurant next door. Room seemed to be clean, but the bad was very uncomfortable n pillows were even worse!! The 2nd morning we told the office we had to leave. Our friend had to change her airline ticket to get home. She was coming down with Covid! Went to Dr when she got back to florida
- Allen (6/5): - It was fine until people started checking out in morning. Than you could hear them badly.
- Richard (5/5): Average needs updating - Good location and friendly staff
Room’s were clean A/C not working well
Rooms stuffy. We have normally stayed there and have been happy. Seems like rooms and site need a makeover.
- Guest (7/5): -
- Beth (10/5): - San was excellent
- Joe (10/5): If we get back up into upper Michigan, we will be sure to stay here. - We did not eat breakfast in this establishment, we went next door for a full breakfast. When we first turned the TV on in our room, there was a message that it was not connected to the cable but my husband figured out how to get it connected so that we could watch TV.
- Terri (10/5): - Room was clean & comfortable. A little dated. We would definitely stay here again. For the price it was a win win for us.
- Rebecca (8/5): - It was somewhat close to the road but we slept good and didn't hear any noise at all.
Cozy and clean . Comfortable bed, clean towels and staff very helpful. We requested for a changed of room when we arrived there and the staff on duty was very helpful to facilitate our request.
Breakfast was " to go" type so we decided to head back to our ro to eat where there'd a able and chairs for that.
We would be happy to stay there again:-)
- Betty (8/5): - Stay was good. Disappointed in continental breakfast.
- Jody (8/5): - Nice, clean, quiet rooms. Beds are quite firm!! If you don’t want to navigate stairs, be sure to request 1st floor room. Hotel close driving to many restaurants and businesses.
- Arno (6/5): - Room was sufficient for one night. Small, dated room. AC worked fine. Located within walking distance of a very good breakfast restaurant. (They do have a continental breakfast.)
- Eric (10/5): - Awesome restaurant on property
- Richard (8/5): - No frills, simple room. Clean.
- James (8/5): - Staff were friendly, clean rooms, easy parking.
- John L. (10/5): - Clean room. Parked right in front.
- Sukhneet (8/5): - Clean rooms and good price compared to other motels
- Mary (8/5): Convenient - Clean room. Good location for traveling further in any direction. No breakfast, but nice little restaurant next door.
- Rebecca (8/5): Great location for the price! - It was a great location in St. Ignace. Convenient to ferries and downtown St. Ignace. The AC unit was a bit loud, but not unbearable.
- Joshua (6/5): Quality on par with price - we went up during labor day weekend, price was very good. Rooms were clean
- Robin (6/5): - The bed was very hard to sleep on. Just as hard as a floor. The shower is very slippery both my husband and I slipped in it. Carpets need to be cleaned our feet were black after showering.
- Marta Ivette (6/5): - Convenient place, clean, included breakfast, staff very friendly, restaurants nearby
- Dex (6/5): - Good location and nice, clean lodging accommodation.
Breakfast should start before 8 AM. People staying this hotel get going before them.
A little personality training for during the check-in process might be helpful.
- Michael (6/5): - Nice location and comfortable. Disappointed in breakfast since it didn't open until 9 am.
- Kate (8/5): - We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is handy to everything we wanted to see and do in St. Ignace. Our main activity was to go to Mackinac Island and the location of the hotel made it easy to find the ferry. The gal at the front desk could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a continental style breakfast but wasn't available until after 8:00 a.m. We grabbed a bite at the Wild Blueberry next door and it was delicious. The hotel was clean, convenient, beds were comfortable. It was all we needed! Would recommend!
- Rosemary (6/5): - We didn’t like the super thin walls. Listening to the people outside smoking, the shower running upstairs, & the biggest was the horrible dirty carpet throughout the room. The property was clean, staff was nice, sheets soft, good selection on the tv.
- Thomas (9/5): Motel itself was very good, just the clerk was not the best. - The location was very good for us. The accommodations were good and the room was comfortable. Big parking lot too. The only issue we had was the clerk at the desk. Not the type of person I would hire for a job that deals with the public. Just unpleasant. The breakfast was nothing to brag about either. But there was a great restaurant across the parking lot.
- John (10/5): - Loved it and the ladies at the front desk were great.
- John (10/5): -
this motel was very clean and we would stay here again.
- Bogan (5/5): Decent - Lady at the desk was super nice. Comfort of the bed
- Lisa (10/5): - Pleasant place.
- Ruth (8/5): Clean the carpet - All amenities in room worked fine. Carpet may need a shampoo. Front desk help not very friendly.
- Tomáš (4/5): - Platil jsem pres booking 87 dolaru i presto, ze na bookingu byla cena 57 dolaru. Na zpravy nikdo nereaguje. Snidane je velmi smutna
- Pete (6/5): Budget friendly and clean - Breakfast did not start until 8am. We caught the early ferry therefore breakfast wasn’t an option. Room was clean however it was very small and the bed was very uncomfortable.
- Carly (4/5): - The location was great, however we lost power Saturday morning and when I told the staff, “Our room doesn’t have power” she said,” Yeah everyone’s is out” in a very rude way. She didn’t bother to elaborate with me at all about what was going on. We couldn’t shower that morning.
- David (10/5): Super Clean and super friendly - Really pleased with the value of our stay. Room was super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice quiet night (after we missed finding the Northern Lights)!
- David (6/5): - You got what you paid here . No more no less but good value for your buck , oh one thing - toilet are short , just saying
- Linda (10/5): - It was a good value, we did care to stay on the water.
- Megan (10/5): - The property and rooms were very clean. Chexk in and out was easy. Close walk and drive to things in town. The view is good.
- Mike (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): I go back every year always a pleasure - Location and cleanliness Nothing
- Brandi (6/5): Won’t stay again - . We booked this motel for two simple things: a comfortable night’s sleep and a hot shower in the morning. Unfortunately, the hot water situation was very disappointing—the shower was ice cold, and even the sink only stayed warm for a minute or two before turning cold. The “breakfast” was also not what we expected and left us unsatisfied.
On the positive side, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly, but the lack of reliable hot water was a major letdown. This is a basic necessity that really needs to be addressed.
- kenneth (8/5): - Very clean room
- BENJAMIN (8/5): Good location and value overall. - Overall value and location were great. Staff were friendly and housekeeping came every day. The location was close to the Saint Ignace ferry docks heading to Mackinac Island. Amenities were pretty basic, but I was out almost all day each day. The bed was very firm and not terribly comfortable. Breakfast hours/options were quite limited.
- Deborah (8/5): - Quiet, comfortable. Very good!
- Debra (8/5): 4 night stay! Very nice place - Good location, wild blueberry restaurant was close and delicious! Cleaned our room evey day! We will stay again! Noisy air conditioner
- Steven (10/5): -
- Mary Frances (10/5): -
- Julia (9/5): Cute cozy affordable comfortable place to stay. - Friendly Staff and easy location to find. It has a refrigerator a microwave and coffee machine that uses pods. TV with lots of channels. Free breakfast. The WiFi was very weak and slow. But if you have data on your smartphone it’s not a problem.
- Kristine (6/5): Very cozy and cute - Was on a business trip and needed a room for the night to rest before heading back on the road. The staff were very sweet and the room was perfect. The bed was super comfy
- Greg (10/5): - Great location. Rooms were clean and in good repair. Will gladly stay here again next trip
- Charles (9/5): -
- Robert (8/5): - Liked the Straights of Macinack, but the room was not ready 45 minutes after arrival.
- Andrew (10/5): - The ladies were fantastic, everything was done that was asked for fast and quick and easy. This is an excellent place to stay. The staff was very pleasant and quick to respond. And it is very clean and modern.
- Clark (4/5): - Day shift staff Monday were kind and warm. We checked in Sunday Eve. Young woman at the desk was sullen and rude. Couldn't utter a thank you and any question asked was answered in monosyables.
- Haska (8/5): I will stay there again. Location was perfect. - Very clean and comfortable. Carrying heavy luggage up a flight of stairs. Trailers in the parking lot took up a great deal is space. Challenging to figure out where to park.
- Sasha (9/5): -
- Gayla (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. - The room was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
- Bruce A Deborah (10/5): 2 Nights - Staff was super sweet and helpful we spent two nights down town was cool and walkable! We took the shuttle to the boat to Mackinac island made life easier
