Guest Reviews
- MICHAEL (10/5): Being extremely close to Glacier National Park as well as other highly desirable areas, made the lodge a smart choice. T - It was off of the beaten path and exceeded our expectations. The overall lodge was at our disposal as well as the furry friends. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- James (10/5): Relaxing - We liked the location of the inn, being only about 15 minutes from the entrance to Glacier National Park. We aso liked the homeiness of the public areas of the inn; kitchen, 2 living areas with comfy sofas. There were breakfast items available for guests (cereal, breads, coffee, teas, juices, etc.) and sandwich fixings (peanut butter and jellies), fruit, snack bars, plenty of options! So relaxing! The property also had outdoor seating and a hot tub. N/A
- Gary (8/5): Good place to stay if you don't mind the drive. - Breakfast setup, coffee availability, comfy room. Nice helpful people run the place. Bathroom was a little funky, B&B was a bit out of the way for restaurants.
- Nathan (8/5): We enjoyed our stay there. It was a little further outside of town than I realized when booking. - We were on the third floor. That made it a little difficult for us. We both have mild mobility issues. The room and bathroom were excellent. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size for two people getting ready.
- bryan (10/5): Nice weekend get away - Host was very nice the place was clean and nice and quiet. Would like to come back during the summer months to check out the area. Enjoyed the stay and the mild winter.
- Daniel (9/5): I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing get-away above the norm. - I liked most everything ! Location, friendly staff, available Breakfast food selections, and the site of well manicured grounds and trails around the cabin. Very relaxing place to unwind. There was still some traffic sounds that you can hear from the nearby road even though you could not see the traffic .
- Robert (2/5): Very poor - Very poor customer service if you need something go someplace else No help
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michel (9/5): Superb - Slept very good! Comfy bed. Deck was nice. Enjoyed atrium. Very peaceful. Close to glacier.
- Charles (2/5): We are two seniors this was the worst place in 3 years of travel in the US. - Location Small room. One tv for all. Not allowed to wear shoes, use public washer/dryer, light fire in fire place, turn volume on tv where you could hear it, note said cold breakfast in fridge, noise above room 6am-10am, hostess was like a watch dog for children
- Rosemary (10/5): - Everything about my stay at Moss Inn was perfect. It is the cutest place with beautiful surrounding a perfect place for me and my boyfriend. I highly recommend staying here
- David (10/5): I did not expect all the amenities - The breakfast was exceptional
- Pat (7/5): Good - Staff was very helpful. Breakfasts were good. Very nice area to relax, close to West Glacier National Park. Marguerite & Sandie were wonderful. It was really hard on me to do the steps up to the 3rd floor, up and down, up and down. Next time I just need to ask for handicap accessibility.
- Susana (9/5): Confortable - Services -
- John D (8/5): - Friendly host. Enjoyed the stay. Convenience to Glacier Park. Nice and homey.
- Marlena (10/5): 10/10 STARS - Amazing people!! One of the best bed n breakfast places I stayed in. Only 40 min drive to west glacier entrance. This place is so cute, if I come back to MT definitely booking here again
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michał (7/5): Good - Clean, friendly staff, great location I got a different room than the one I booked. The room I paid for had balcony, view, TV and a proper bathroom. The one I got didn’t have any of these things and was dark.
- Roxanna (10/5): Exceptional - Great inn, extremely clean. Super nice and friendly staff. Marguerite and Sandee are the simply the best! NOne
- Nicole Elizabeth (10/5): - It was a beautiful place to stay. Quiet and peacful.
- Berke (10/5): Very cute place with an incredible host -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (10/5): - Wonderful quiet inn ~ 20 min drive from Glacier NP - Marguerite was a consummate hostess, accommodating our special dietary needs. Pets on property are the best! So nice to get your fur baby fix while traveling. Dogs, cats, beta fish, song birds - it was amazing!
- Paul (10/5): Way above and beyond what we expected. - When we arrived there was a note on the door welcoming us to come in with a key to our room. The one that caught us off guard was a note to please remove your shoes. To us that meant she took pride in the cleanliness of her property & it was spotless. There were numerous items that we could borrow like bear spray, books on Glacier Park, sunscreen whatever you might need to make your visit to Glacier more enjoyable. Marguerite was very knowledgeable about the park & since this was our first time there helped a bunch. Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): - We enjoyed our time at Moss Mountain Inn. The property is beautiful with multiple outside sitting areas, lovely flowers and a garden. The house is beautifully styled with everything one might need. Marguerite has a full refrigerator for guests on the sunporch. Coffee and wine available anytime. Very quiet, safe area right on North Fork Road.
- Daniel (10/5): - Very nice accommodations in a beautiful mountain setting. Marguerite and her staff did a wonderful job of making you feel welcome and comfortable.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Marguerite, was an amazing host. Her property was beautiful, and she was very attentive to us. She had very good recommendations on area things to do. We will for sure stay with her again if in the area. We highly recommend her.
- Laura (10/5): - What a wonderful property! Our very favorite on our trip. The property is beautifully appointed with glorious flowers spread around the grounds, wine and beer in the fridge, and plenty of private spaces to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the fire pit and wine on the Adirondack chairs facing out into the woods. Our host even had bear spray and ice chests for us to borrow for the day. We loved being close enough to town that it was an easy drive in for dinner and hiking snacks and a quick drive into the park. I almost forgot to mention how comfy cozy the bed was. We also appreciated having the Kuerig available before breakfast was served since we were early risers. It would be easy to go on and on with all the things we enjoyed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Marguerite at her little gem at Moss Mountain.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Marguerite was an excellent host. Breakfast was simple but included eggs, cherries and huckleberry jam. The room was clean and very comfortable. Conversing with the other guests at breakfast was very enjoyable. Definitely will return!
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): - Flying into Kalispel for the first time is awe-inspiring. My intention was to explore Whitefish and Glacier Park. Moss Mountain had good reviews which motivated me to check it out. Not being familiar with the terrain I felt discouraged when the map revealed it was further away from Whitefish than I anticipated. Departing the airport one must travel through Columbia Falls. My first impression of the area was concerning since I arrived late October, close to the off-season. However the drive to Moss Mountain was relaxing and scenic. Be warned the sign is at the bottom of the hill/embankment making the entry sign somewhat camouflaged.
Upon arrival I felt like I was too far away from restaurants and shops. You are too far for walking but the drive is only 15 minutes and sometimes you feel you have the road to yourself.
Marguerite and family are incredibly welcoming. They are tucked away under the evergreens and convenient to the river and West Glacier. They make every effort to make you a satisfying continental breakfast and want to make sure your day is planned according to your desires. I was only there 4 nights and left feeling like I was part of the family. Especially when I was told to take off my shoes at the entrance. They provide kitchen amenities, bear spray and even a yoga mat.
I was very pleased with their service. Not to mention the cozy environment . Finally I realized it was centrally located to a multitude of trails in the area.
- Kevin (10/5): - Beautiful property away from it all. Onky 4 rooms so more like a B&B. Marguerite, Callie and all their pets are great hists!
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful Host! - We loved our stay af Moss Mountain Inn! Marguerite was a wonderul hostess. We had the Apgar Room, and had a choice of balconies to enjoy. Beautiful property! Just take some slippers or warm socks, no shoes allowed inside.
- Doug (10/5): - So quiet. Run so professionally. Great hosts who gladly acquaint you with tips on the area
- Dean (8/5): - The owners were very helpful and friendly. I was very disappointed in the breakfast. It advertised a warm cooked meal and all they offered was a Continental breakfast.
- Kimberly (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. Marguerite was friendly, helpful, and provided everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay. She is very knowledgeable about the area, and has a library of books on recreating in the area. The continental breakfast kept us full until lunchtime. Our room was very comfortable, and there were plenty of places to relax. The inn is very close to Glacier NP. We will be back!
- Carmen (10/5): - This is the special house in the mountains that you wish you owned! Moss Mountain Inn was clearly designed with hospitality in mind. The home is tastefully appointed, cozy and peaceful. Marguerite is a welcoming host and has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It is nice that there are four rooms, but with enough privacy. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surrounding beauty of nature. LOVED IT!
- Chris (10/5): - Very personal attention and very nice property. Our stay was most enjoyable!
- Lana (10/5): - We enjoyed great hospitality and care. Knowledge of the aria and given advices were most helpful
Thank you Margaret so much !
- nicole (10/5): - Super cute place to stay! Bed was the best bed I have ever slept on, wanted to take it home. If you’re looking to venture the west side of glacier it’s a good location! Only 15-20min to the park entrance. Staff very knowledgeable of things to do in and outside of the park!
- Julie (10/5): - Cozy beds, well appointed rooms, hot tub, all the comforts of home!
- Stephen (10/5): - Moss Mountain Inn was ideal for our trip to Glacier National Park. The Inn was very clean, the owner and staff were super friendly and the amenities were exceptional. Nice cozy room just off the solarium. We would stay here again if in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing stay! A real slice of heaven. A must go to.
- Ian (10/5): delightful and comfortable stay - We had a delightful stay at Moss Mountain Inn. The Inn is located on a beautiful property just outside of Columbia Falls. There is easy access via back roads to the West Glacier National Park entrance, and fishing access to the North Fork of the Flathead River is just up the road. Our room was small as expected (call it "cozy"), but very clean and comfortable. Marguerite and Callie were wonderful hosts, and the breakfast was delicious. We were even able to pick some fresh raspberries from the garden. We hope to come back again!
- William (10/5): Base of operations in Glacier National Park - Moss Mountain is a real gem. We stayed there two nights and then another two nights. It is a beautiful building with lots of light wood trim set in the forest. There are four bedrooms with one on the first floor, one on the second, and two on the third. The rooms do not have their own TV but there is a nice common TV room. The bedroom on the first floor is small and the queen bed fills most of the sleeping area. It also has a shower and sink and a small “closet” for the toilet. It is connected to the atrium which might be the best feature of the facility. The atrium is large and complete with tables, chairs, and a couch. Just sitting in the atrium and watching nature makes for a great stay. The second floor has a bedroom and the kitchen area which has two dining tables. The breakfasts that we had were first-rate. pancakes, bacon, German pancakes (like crepes), fruit, scones, egg dishes, etc. The new owner and cook are very engaging and we spent at least an hour at breakfast talking with them and the other guests. The owner also was a wealth of information about Glacier, hiking outside the Park, and things to do in the surrounding cities. Other specific attributes of Moss Mountain are that the beds were very comfortable (best we have had) and they provided many essential items such as bear spray, 4-way phone charger in each room, hot tub, kitchen area with microwave and fruit, nuts, and energy bars, a common area with Keurig coffee maker, tea, and refrigerator.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location! 15-20 min drive from Glacier National Park. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is very quiet and relaxing after a day of exploring Glacier National Park. The breakfast was so good and they are very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We really liked the attention to detail. This property is clean and very nicely appointed.
- Howie (10/5): - Great location. Clean and excellent service. Thanks!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was in the woods, quiet and beautiful. The hostess is wonderful. Has Greta recommendations for what to go in Glaicer. There’s also a great solarium to relax in, a hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, games, washer/dryer. She loaned us bear spray, maps, and even raincoats. Wonderful relaxing time. Enjoyed our time there. Homemade breakfast is yummy. Accommodated various special diets I.e. gluten free and vegetarian. I’d love to return
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very nice and convenient. Host was great. Very good breakfast!! I would definitely stay there again.
- Brian (10/5): Great place, great food, great people - We had a delightful four nights at Moss Mountain Inn, and Chris and Dave treated us extremely well. The place is beautiful inside and out and has lovely grounds. The 15-minute shortcut to Glacier National Park is a plus. The breakfasts and cookies were wonderful, and the hosts were very gracious. Highly recommended.
- Grady (8/5): - This is very nice BnB and the hosts could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. While the rooms are small they are fine for a short stay. I would have given 5 stars but for the fact that they allow cats in the house and I am allergic to cats and could not stop sneezing.
- Brian (10/5): Perfect couples spot - Great little place minutes north of Columbia Falls. Great hosts and very clean property. Would recommend to any couple looking for a quiet spot in a nice setting to get away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay at Moss Mountain Inn and would highly recommend it. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is superb. Dave and Chris are very friendly and treat you like family.
- Russell (10/5): Visiting Glacier Nat'l Park - stay here - Dave and Chris were gracious hosts and are well acquainted and able to guide on park exploration. Most maps or GPS units would lead you to believe that Moss Mountain is at least 30-45 minutes from the park entrance; not so, a back road will get you there in about 15 minutes. We stayed in a room adjacent to the solarium and found it both clean and comfortable. Chris and Dave made certain that each breakfast each morning was exceptional and different. Dave is an accomplish baker and prepared home made croissants. We skipped lunch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our hosts were great and informative. Brealfast in the morning was a treat and the conversations were fruitful. highly recomended.
- Kimberly L. (10/5): Quaint and Cozy - My husband and I stayed at Moss Mountain Inn in July 2019 in which we absolutely LOVED our short stay with Dave and Chris. They genuinely cared and was so helpful during our stay from the insightful information to the delicious warm breakfast in the morning (Banana's Foster French Toast, Homemade Croissants with Huckleberry Jam... drooling thinking about it). They offered bear spray to guest during the stay (easily $60) which you may need at Glacier or hiking in the area. Glacier Park is around 15-20ish minutes away so it was a nice surprise to have that convenience. Oh also if you are wanting a lunch, they offer that as well.... OMG the homemade granola bar we had a soooooo good especially after the hike at Logan's Pass. :D All in All I would not pass up the opportunity to stay at Moss Mountain Inn if they have availability because I know we will be back next time we are in MT~ Thank you for the amazing experience <3
- Louis (10/5): - The owners Kris and Dave are the perfect hosts, the experience and hospitality was really SURREAL a complete package for relaxation and being at the PERFECT location to enjoy Glaciers..we will be back!
- KaityCotten (10/5): - The proximity to Glacier National Park was great. The hosts were so welcoming and had tons of great tips and info. The breakfasts were outstanding. Chris & Dave went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at Moss Mountain Inn for our anniversary get away. We had a wonderful experience. We went snowmobiling and this Inn is at the perfect location. If you want to ski, snowmobile or just play in the snow this Inn is the perfect home base! The Inn is very comfortable with fireplaces burning when you come in from the cold. Yummy breakfast every morning gets your day started with a smile. The views around the bed and breakfast are breathtaking! And of course the Inn has the best host and hostess we’ve ever had! You will not be disappointed if you choose the Moss Inn!!!
- Slavko&Dawn (10/5): - Nice clean house, great location, wonderful hosts!
- Jennifer (10/5): West Glacier Park hideaway - This was a great off-the-beaten path place. 15 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly hosts with great information about the surrounding area. Felt like being a guest in a friend’s house. Bonus was seeing deer and wild turkey out the window during breakfast. Would stay here again for sure.
- RussianGirl (10/5): Beautiful Inn - My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Jayne and Troy at their Inn. Perfect location - close to the park and small towns. Clean. Great breakfast. We enjoyed quiet environment after all day hiking.
- Jim (10/5): - Jayne and Troy are wonderful hosts. Everything was first rate. Beautiful setting, convenient to Glacier, Whitefish.
- Susan (10/5): Cozy comfort in a beauiful setting - Wonderful experience, warm and welcoming hosts, delicious home cooked breakfast, hope to be back again next year!!
- Lori (10/5): Friendly folks welcome you to an awesome place! - We had a wonderful time at this B&B where the couple was so caring and helpful. The surrounding are a perfect introduction to National Glacier Park. Breakfast was great!
- Hank (10/5): Off the beaten path but close to amenities - This Inn is located in a quiet, beautifully maintained grounds with very friendly and accommodating owners. The rooms were very nice and the bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom in our room, especially the toilet room, was very small and difficult to use. The breakfast was outstanding, and Troy and Jayne were wonderful hosts with excellent knowledge of local points of interest. Despite the difficulty with the bathroom, I would definitely stay here again, perhaps in a different room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful inn, and wonderful hosts. A bit far from the most popular glacier hikes but not bad.
