Guest Reviews
- 243bethb (4/5): Not What We Were Hoping For - My husband and I booked a room for two nights. We were apprehensive due to reviews but the new owner Pewee assured us this was a newly renovated hotel and we could be assured a clean and safe visit. At first glance, the property was charming. It really had great bones. The lobby was older but cute and clean. The lobby manager was very kind. The problems began when we entered the room. I could very past the musty smell and wrinkled walllaper. However, the inside of the door was filthy and the battery pack for the electronic key entry hung loosely from it's harness. There were very large cobwebs on the ceiling. The bed linens were clean but there were stains on the towels. Bathroom was clean but the bathtub trim was missing. The clothes rack was rusty. The box spring mattress was dirty. The last straw was some kind of wet nastiness in the microwave. The smell was awful. I feel bad leaving a negative review given how nice the owner and manager are but I just cannot recommend this motel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice staff, rooms need a complete overhaul - Hotel needs a complete remodel. The carpet had holes, beds had ragged fabric, the mattress was out of life and bathroom needed big help. After being in the room for 1 hour, decided to cancel our stay due to cleanliness and some insects. Front desk was very helpful and refunded 100% of money paid without giving us a hard time for cancellation. Staff was very helpful and nice, it is a shame that it seems that property has not received any renovation nor replacements in years
- chloeed768 (2/5): Awful experience - We stayed for one night and got about 4 hours of sleep. The toilet leaked on the floor. The room was dirty, there was no hairdryer or tissues. The door would barely lock, and there were noisy live in tenants that would not stop yelling outside and carrying on. I was honestly scared to stay here.
- Cara (2/5): Horrible - Read reviews but still ended up booking anyway. Wish I didnt. The NONSMOKING room we were in smelt so bad of smoke, we only stayed 1 night & went somewhere else the next night. The sleep clothes I had wore in the hotel that night smelt so bad of smoke that I couldn't wear them the next night in the other hotel. My clothes smelt like I had been in a bar all night. No exagerating! It just felt so unclean. Never again....
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Old bedroom furniture everywhere! The room was no smoking and it stunk of cigarettes.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Leave the light on service! (Literally! :) - My best friend and I took our 4 kiddos to branson on a spur of the moment trip to silver dollar city. We booked a room on Expedia & we're running late, long story short, Expedia mixed up reservations. When I spoke with the owner she was very kind and said to come on over she would take care of us! She went up to the room herself and turned the lights on and left our door open for us. Excellent rooms. Beds were great. The linens were new and crisp and smelt freshly washed. All new texture in the rooms on the walls and trim. Nice flat screen tv for the kids to wind down to cartoons... I enjoyed her comfort when we arrived. It's ran by a mother and daughter now and it is exceptional. I look forward to our many stays this summer! With love from Oklahoma! I can't wait for my nanny to come visit with me :) you need to add pics of the pool! ;)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was very quiet and comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave and flat screen TV in the room. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only downside is the ice machine was broken, the Wi-Fi was down for a day and the room phone didn't work. Luckily, the ice machine was replaced so that shouldn't be a problem in the future. Also, they had the wifi fixed within 24 hours. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and we are returning next weekend. 😊
- 4iowans (2/5): If i could give zero stars I would! - 1 star is too much for this dump!! We stayed here in the summer of 2016, never again would I go back, I wouldn't even let my dog stay here, we stayed there 5 nights and not once did they clean the room, make our beds, empty our garbages or bring fresh towels for us. The rooms were filthy, spiders on the walls and burn holes in the bathroom floor. We should have know the first day we pulled in and saw police looking for someone in the woods next to the motel that it wouldn't be good. Our room door wouldn't shut, you could see day light through it and when we told the office they just told us to push it shut harder and they wouldn't fix it or move us to a new room. The dead bolt was attached to a piece of trim that was attached to the wall with 1 nail, what good is that when the door doesn't even lock and could easily be pushed in? We stacked all of our suitcases in front of the door at bed time. There are also a bunch of deadbeats that are living here and partying. It made us very scared and uncomfortable to go outside with our 2 small children in the evening because they were always out there smoking and walking around with beer. We tried the pool and the water was very cloudy and almost felt like slime! I will learn next time to spend a little more for a decent motel!
- Rowland (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. - The bed was comfortable and they were so nice. Very helpful.
- Pigpen (2/5): Worst hotel ever!!! - Bed so uncomfortable, ended up in E.R. after stay, (true story) dead roach on bathtub, didn't clean room when stayed 2 nights, towels looked like 10 year old Walmart towels, pillows stained yellow, with one of the covers the plastic, old person hospital ones. Too much to list. Just gross. I suggest a tetanus shot after your stay.
- phs1965 (2/5): Dirty, roaches and bugs - Will never stay there again. should have known when entering Lobby had a sign"no smokimg" and it reaked of cig. smoke. 1st/ room we got was roach infested, bugs in refrigator and micro wave,, on bathroom floor. Told front desk clerk, She put us in another room, Her husband had the checked the room before we went in said it was clear of bugs, There were dead bugs on the bathroom floor , hair in the sink, one set of towels,,no trash can,,no phone, smelled very musky, and the bathroom floor was very dirty. It looked like it had been mopped at some time but there were dried dirty shoe prints on the floor. Shower head cover hanging on shower pipe, shower head corroided with who knows what. I cleaned the floor and got rid of dead bugs in bathroom. Checked mattress for bed bug sign, didn't find any. Could not stand to stay there any longer. Checked out after being there the afternoon
and will never ever go back
- Verified traveler (2/5): Roach/beetle/tick Motel - Management had a recent turn over.
Management had been injured.
Zero staff so part of management was the cleaning women.
We asked for two rooms, got two rooms (only positive).
One room took an extra 2 hours to get clean as there was zero staff.
Beetle in one bed- dead, dried, obviously had been there a while.
Roach in another bed, with a big brown tick. BTW. New take over so new sheets... Well beds were HOLY @@@@. But for a $50.00 room I guess the almost OK.
-We had no smoke alarm.
-We had no way to lock door other than knob.
-Our TV got on channel an no remote.
-We had no Coffee pot.
-We had no trash can.
-We had Dollar store towels.
-We did get breakfast... A box of Krispy Creams and a tank of coffee (complimentary) but you had to walk by the managements open room full of cigarette smoke and a Hoarder filled room to get to it.
-Management said we haven't heard about them ticks yet, have seen some fleas!!!!!
-place was robbed the night before we got there.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOUR DUDES NEEDING TO CRASH. OTHER WISE SLEEP WITH BUMS IN THE PARK--- safer and cleaner.
- Blake (2/5): Read this before booking! - I read reviews before coming thought would be okay for one night, heard they were better since recently changed owners. No. Although the room was clean it has an old smell but that wasn't a big problem to me the main issue was my rooms door wouldnt even close all the way! Even after deadbolting the door you had a bunch of daylight coming through where closes and door had lots of wiggle room you could move it even when locked and see out. Upon arrival they couldn't find my reservation and the old guy was nice, but the lady in the office was RUDE and GRUMPY hope she's not that way all the time but was to us then. And lastly, if you don't mind being woken up at 7 am on vacation twice due to faulty fire alarms... Have fun! They blared once at 7 and again at 7:30 all to be malfunction. Not a fun alarm clock. So I don't recommend this hotel. And to you ladies, they do not provide hair dryers either like most hotels do. Be prepared.
- Alberto505598 (2/5): Terrible - Lazy and rude employees no pool I had to go elsewhere I was told after 11 was pasted check in time I thought a hotel was always open all kinds of sketchy people wondering around it too scary for me and my two small children
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cold cold room - No remotes, no quilts on bed or extra quilts, no coffee or creamer, no breakfast as stated. The heat was not on and it was freezing cold. It took forever to heat the room. Brrrr.
- thompsoni (2/5): Horrid, break in - We booked through hotels.com and they claimed they diddnt receive the reservation. They ended up charging us more than quoted online. Then at 150 am!! Someone tries to break into our room. They actually got the door cracked open the only thing holding it closed was the chain! There's no phone in the room so I had to scrounge around for my cell. By the time my husband got his pants on and I found the phone we opened the door and it was a man (the managers husband ) and the manager. He claimed his wife asked him to go check the room beside us for squaters and he got the number mixed up...um. No. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. The front desk worer now that there's one there at 8 am said they probably would not refund our stay or refund what was supposed to be a second night that I will not be spending here!!
- Lisa (8/5): Diamond in the Ruff - I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The mangers were so friendly and helpful. Ownership changed in the last 3 months and you can really tell theses managers care about their jobs. The room was very clean. The tub and shower were huge with great water pressure. The beds were clean and soft. The location is also great. The hotel sets off the strip so you don't have all the noise but very close at the same time. My only complaints are that the door lock needs improvement and the towels could really use an update in quality. I'm sure these things will come as they are just getting started. This will be our Branson hotel from now on.
- TexasMama1249 (6/5): Clean - Our room was clean. It was supposed to have two queen beds. It had one and a twin bed. I asked for a room on first floor but couldn't get one. There is no elevator. There were four of us with only two towels. It took awhile to get more towels.
- Traveler (6/5): Ok For The Price - Check-in took a while. The smoke alarm started chirping at 2 AM; I went down to get a replacement battery and the front desk area was locked up tight. Nobody available. Maid service was lacking. The bed never got made and didn't provide enough washcloths.
- Sharon (8/5): Thanksgiving weekend - We had a good time even though is was rainy all weekend. The hotel was clean and neat. We will possibly stay again when the weather is warmer as they have plenty of seating outside on a patio. The only problem we had was my email confirmation said we would pay upon arrival but also said that had already been charged on my credit card so we had to get in tough with the credit card to make sure we were not charged twice. A problem with hotels.com not the hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): I like the price. - The price is nice. Hotel wasn't bad. Don't expect much. Staff was very friendly. I'd stay again just for the price.
- HogfamilyKC (6/5): Cheap Clean - If you are just wanting somewhere to sleep: the rate is good. Linens were new. Room was clean. Breakfast is cheap donuts and coffee. We had coffee making supplies in our room but no coffee maker. There was a microwave and mini fridge. Wifi did not work unless you were in the bathroom to get a signal.
However, there is a trashy family living there. We know because she came out of the room and told us we were in her parking space and she lived there. We dropped off luggage and came back later in the evening. Asked to be moved to the other side of the motel. They accommodated.
This morning she was out asking people for a jump start for their junky vehicle.
- 457stacyw (10/5): Traveling soldier - We stayed 4 days we have 2 children and were a little nervous having not been here before we normally stay at one of the bigger hotels but were in a pinch when we got.our room we were very surprised nice big rooms new beds new furniture very clean nice and quiet great experience and will definitely be going back
- Nancy (4/5): - Motel was under new management for two weeks and didn't even have access to our reservation. Room was not ready due to housekeeping problems. Management stated they would have coffee and doughnuts at 6-9. We kept going down, and no coffee. And the door was still locked. After 7, we called, and were advised the there was coffee ready. Not very prepared for an operational hotel.
Also, my feet were black from going barefoot in the room......yew!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointing hotel
- When we arrived on Friday the refrigerator was gross and had someone else's drinks in it. We went to Silver Dollar City Sat morning and returned around noon to find the room had not been cleaned. On Sunday, we went to Table Rock Lake and returned around 4 pm ready to take showers and the room had still not been cleaned. Both days, we had to call to get the room cleaned and receive clean towels, etc. One day they forgot to leave us soap, if you can call what they provided soap. When they left soap the first time, there were two tiny bars, one for the sink and one for the shower. The bars of soap were so tiny, they hardly lasted through one person's shower and one of the two tiny bars was broken. One morning I didn't take a shower until around 8 am. and there was no hot water. The sheets did not fit the mattress and would not stay on. Although I requested sheets that fit the mattress, I never received them. The washcloths felt like sandpaper and were yellow and discolored and down right gross. There are much better hotels in Branson, even at this low price point. We will never stay here again!
- redlandfd (4/5): Cheap & Clean - I was in a hurry and booked two rooms off another site right before Labor Day weekend. I've been to Branson and thought I knew this place, just went by the pictures. Got the rooms for $50 each. Arrived and the place looks good from a distance. Checked in, but they'd lost one of the room reservation. There was a No Vacancy sign on the door. The clerk became frustrated at his coworkers and vented a little, but he got us a second room. As I drove around I got a little worried, some rough cars in the parking lot, lawn chairs outside some rooms usually means it's not a tourist motel. Pool was empty and looked neglected. My wife and grown kids were already sighing...Got to the rooms and things got a little better. They were basic and clean, lot of sink space, good clean showers, good mattresses, quiet place, nice view of the Mtns from the balcony. We basically just slept and showered here, so it was okay for that. Honestly if I had little kids Id recommend something else, okay for couples, retirees, or business travelers on the cheap. This appeared to be a real nice place at one time, and with some effort( cut weeds, toss old patio stuff, pick up the place, move long termers to top floor, etc) I think the tourist would return. And they are working on it some. Anyway...it's ok for a night or so.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay hotel - Reserved 3 rooms for family weekend get away. The rooms varied greatly, especially the beds. The balcony view was that of the duplexes built right next to the hotel and while I don't expect alot from the free breakfast I was disappointed in the box of donuts and cereal they offered. Overall the rooms were clean, but there was no blowdryer and the soap and shampoo they provided were opened and used.
- alicia (6/5): Close to white water and silver dollar city. - Check in and breakfast hall smelled of smoke terribly. They obviously smoke in the room.
- Jodi (8/5): Clean, comfortable room - I made my reservations thru Hotels.com & when I checked in they only had one room in my name. ( I booked 2 rooms). Luckily the ck in clerk was able to cover for us. Our room had no phone but did have a fridge & microwave.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Alright for the price - This hotel is located close to 76 which made going to do things easier and not a stressful but the hotel smelled like faintly like a smoking room. The shower was very pleasant and up to date unlike most hotels. The furniture in the room was kind of old. Over all a great place to stay in Branson if you just need a place to sleep cheaply without being grossed out.
- 746ht (8/5): Not a Bad Place!! - We checked in after finding this hotel on Hotwire. The price the lady said the room would be at the counter matched the price that Hotwire had listed. It was their last room available. I asked to go take a look at the room because we are not from Branson and wanted to make sure it was an okay place to stay. After looking at the room we decided to stay. The manager was extremely friendly and helped my girlfriend and I find some things to do based on what we told her we were interested in. She also hooked us up with a man who got us discount tickets to the show Acrobats of China and Dixie Stampede. The tickets were delivered right to the hotel so we didn't have to worry about standing in lines or not being able to get the tickets- this was fabulous! We didn't get a chance to visit the pool, but it looked nice from what we saw. They do offer breakfast with coffee and orange juice. I would definitely stay here again. It was located close to the strip aka 76 but is also far enough that yo you don't have to worry about the noise and all of the traffic that comes along with the strip! While we stayed they had a life performer who was also staying there and he played music etc. I think they're the only hotel in Branson who offers a free show like this!! We were definitely pleased with this hotel and will be back and highly recommend it.
- carolynl884 (4/5): A disappointing stay. - We stayed in the "Deluxe King" room, which turned out to be a big disappointment. The room had no chair or desk. Had to store our luggage on top of the TV cabinet or the floor. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. The "breakfast" that is advertised consisted of a box of stale donuts. Not sure where they get them, but I think they should look @ other options. The room was pretty clean, except for the hairs found in the shower. That was pretty gross. Also, the website advertised the pool, which wasn't operational @ the time of our visit, which was during the first week of summer. Having said that, we did have a nice view from the room and the staff was very friendly. We're usually pretty laid back, so laughed off a lot of the things we experienced, but probably wouldn't go there again.
- suluc (2/5): Bad Bad place do not stay there - Bab Bad People in charge they told me i would get my $50 deposit back then they would not. they stole my money!! also sewer back up in tub and potty they did not fix it so moved my in another room the shower did not work, so gave me a key for another room to just take a shower in and that shower did not work right so my whole stay i could not take a shower they put me though all this hassle then would not give me my $50 deposit back bad bad place
- ilovebranson76 (10/5): Nicest extended stay in BRANSON!! - If your looking for an extended stay in Branson, this is the one to go to. New managers have recently taken over and they have made a lot of changes and renovations. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. It is conviently located just right off 76 highway, but far enough away from the main strip to where you don't hear all the traffic. I've stayed in a few extended stays in town and by my own experience this one is the best one I've personally stayed at! Plus, you get weekly room service.
If your looking for an extended stay in branson or aren't happy with the extended stay you are currently at, you should check out this hotel. You won't be disappointed.
- redbug2014 (2/5): A Do it Yourself Hotel - We were told upfront that there would be no housekeeping (really!!). They were true to their word, never came in our room to change our sheets or make the bed, never emptied the trash. We had to take our dirty linen to them to get an exchange, had to pick up toilet tissue and trash bags at the desk. Towel rack fell off the wall, bed frame was on blocks, no table - if you wanted to eat anything in your room there was one chair or you ate on your bed. One evening the regular manager was out and we asked the "relief" manager for towels, she said she couldn't get to them. We told her we needed towels by the next morning and she said "it must be nice, I don't get luxuries like that, I have to use the same one." Since when are clean towels and washcloths a luxury?? Only thing going for this hotel is a nice quiet location.
- Tootsie123456 (2/5): Very upset - Dried blood on bed sheets that management called mud. Realy? I will never stay there again. Staff was rude and threatening. If going to Branson, do not stay there. It's not worth $75. to have to do your own house keeping.
- 833gregn (8/5): Nice place to stay - The staff (Owners) were very friendly and courteous. Didn't need housekeeping nor maintenance. The room was very nice and comfortable. The property was well maintain. The new owners I believe lower the rates to bring in the guests and start to renovate. Didn't have time to check out the rest of the property, because it was a late afternoon check in. Had to get something to eat and go to a show that evening. Great location on the westside of town on Country Hwy 76. Walking distance to shows, shopping, dining and attractions. Caution: when trying to cross Country Hwy 76, please watch out for heavy traffic at peak times (morning & evening rush hour & morning, afternoon and evening show times). Overall review, it's a very nice place to stay at a affordable rate ($-$).
- TonyB512 (2/5): Run Away Like Heck!!! - Wow, this was one of the grossest places I have ever stayed. We rolled in late and chose this as a quick decision based on rate advertised on sign and the "quaint" appearance out front. Upon further examination and entering our room we realized we had really been ripped off. The room was absolutely filthy, obvious dirt on the floor so we wore our flip flops even in bed. Furniture and bathroom counters were filthy as well as shower to include cobwebs above the shower. There were marks and wall damage. About an hour into trying to sleep we could hear the couple next door having "intimate relations" and hollering and screaming as if they were behind a paper wall!!!! This was the worst experience as far as a motel I've ever had. Don't stay here.
- Dodges318 (4/5): Dirty - We arrived late and fell asleep fast my husband had worked 10 hour that day outside in t
paper its half done or half pealed off i had to take a shower on my husbands dirty water cause the shower was clogged up. The room stunk very badly carpet was dirty my daughter killes a cockroach above my head when she woke up in the middle of the night and yes trash all over the parking lot and grass and no matter who did it its managments problem to clean it up. We were very disappointed i hope they upgrade the rooms soon. Managment was very nice thougg.
- Owen-Deanne (2/5): Horrible! - The room was really clean...however it was horrible. Bed was awful, wallpaper peeling, sink cracked, and the toilet tilted. Half the room didn't have wallpaper border, looked like a kid had peeled part of the wall apart in the bathroom. The bed reminded me of something from a prison movie. Staff was friendly and the place was quiet. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $15 and stay somewhere decent!
